Ms. Zimbler is an AMAZING TEACHER. If you like a challenge and want to excercise your critical thinking skills to the max, her class is it. Her attitude and sarcastic character make her soooo sexy, add to that she is a gorgeous person period. Loved every minute in her class. MS. ZIMBLER U ROCK!!!

Excellent professor. Makes you work, but it is reasonable. You learn in this class. A+++

She isn't a bad teacher. I liked her novel choices for our class. She was a bit jumpy sometimes, but I still liked her. She passed me which is what matters to me! Damn Generals!

Zimbler is a great teacher and very helpful. Interesting discussions in class. She is open to different points of view. All you have to write are a few 3 page essays and do the occasional quiz in the reading assignment, which is never more than several pages. She is HOT!

An excellent teacher. Dedicted to teaching, and her students. If your intension is to learn English then this is the class. She makes sure you understand the material, if not she is more than willing to help you during office hours

Professor Zimbler cares about her work and students. It's not an easy class, but the challenge is what makes it worthwhile. Her classes not only prepare you for future english courses, they make you reflect and think about yourself and the world around you.

she's really nice, and helpful, she'll help you with any problems you have, and she won't rush into a different subject if the class doesn't get it. you NEED to have your books. Just read the book, participate in class, write your essays (she lets you to rewrite them by the way), basically do whatever she says, you'll get an A. she's cool !!

This class isn't a simple pass. There is lots of reading and writing, but it's quite enjoyable. I was never really good at English nor did I really like to read. But I really challenged myself and I received an A! But if you see yourself having a bit of trouble with her, just bring her a box of popcorn! And tutoring is readily available.

The best English class Ive taken thous far at lacc. She is very helpful, and helps you pass, but you have to put in the work.

i had her for both english 28 and 101 it was a great class she uses the books ALOT!!! so buy the books i took her with class mentor so her essay's weren't that difficult because i had help highly recomended. Oh yeah she's a looker

Awesome teacher, uses the textbook a lot. The topics we covered in class are interesting. Always proofread my papers and provided helful feedback. If you do the reading and journals, you will definetly pass. Also, she gives out extra credit oppurtunities.

A graet teacher!!! Really helpful,I wasn't sure if I will get an A or B, because it was a little hard class for me, but I got an A, she said that I was one of the hardest working students, and I deserve an A. She is so sweeeet! She is very smart too

She is a pretty good professor. We did a lot of reading and 4 essays & 2 in class essays. Read a novel and journals everyday. It really wasn't that hard, just condensed over 5 weeks. Her class discussions are some of the best i've ever had and she really gets into it. Shes a real person, not some snot nosed professor. Shes a good REAL teacher.

This is an intense class; be prepared to read and write every day--just like one will when real life encroaches. If txting is the primary way one communicates, be prepared to learn to read and write and write well and copiuosly. (If any of the above words require a dictionary, do not take this class!) Eng 103 is CRITICAL THINKING, not txt&sleeping!

Professor Zimbler is pretty awesome. You never really know what will happen in her class, so attendance is crucial & mandatory. I liked her a lot, very cool/down to earth. She can't really hide when she dislikes someone/thing. Still, she's cool I recommend her, but don't expect it to be an easy A.

Great Teacher. Extremely helpful. Hold on to the textbook. Willing to take time out of her class to help...willing to go the extra step. Very cute, and charismatic. Very articulate, very soft... very nice...

Ms. Zimbler is an amazing professor, I tried so hard to get the A, but I ended up with a B, Dammit!.. haha I think she's really cool and make sure you pay attention in class. If you like to learn, I recommend taking her class, she's really cool and she's challenging!

I worked really hard on all essays and journals and got an A.I not only learned to write better but also about very interesting real life topics such as the influence of popular culture on each of us.She is helpful and willing to help.I highly recommend her for those who want to learn,attend class,participate and do all assignments.She is awesome.

The topics discussed in class are intriguing. You can tell she really cares about her students. If you are lazy, then don't take this class. You have to earn your A. The class is not difficult as long as you do the readings and pay attention. Overall, she is a great teacher!

Awesome professor. I had her for three english courses and she has been helpful throughout all three and she encourages you to ask for help if you need it. Work hard and she will give you the grade you deserve. You are allowed 3 absences so it's encouraged to go to all lectures.

A wonderful teacher, really. She's clear, exciting, attractive, and you LEARN things in her class. All around a good person with a lot to say. It's pretty much mandatory to show up to the class. She doesn't like it when you miss days, but you'll like her! So, no problems with that.

Zimbler requires you to do your work! So if you take her, don't mistake her kindness for an easy A. She is extremely helpful and gives plenty of extra credit! If you are lazy and are looking for an easy way out, avoid this class! If you are willing to do the work, you can get an A and learn a lot.

She is helpful and nice, but seem not to want to have any close relation with students. It's not an easy A class. Make sure that you've learned everything in English before taking her English 103 class because she won't teach you anything except let you discuss about the reading in class. Not clear sometimes. Lots of reading, quiz, and journal.

Professor Zimbler is a great professor. She expects you to come to class to have done the reading, and she gives reading quizzes. She requires a journal entry due every class meeting. The best part; she allows rewrites. She mostly does class discussions and expects everyone to participate.

Read the material, and show up for class! Quizzes are given on the reading assignments, which are basically to see if you're keeping up with class. Clear topics are given for essay assignments, and she lets you rewrite them if you need to. Class is mostly a discussion about the reading assignments. She is always very helpful and clear!

I took this class during the winter. Not the best move I could have done in my life since I am transferring this fall. Professor Zimbler is so awesome knows her stuff and does not play around. Lots of reading and writing but she is very helpful and lets you do rewrites.

She's a tough critic when it comes to grading papers (notices every single error) however she lets you do rewrites. I don't recommend this course for a 5 week session! Especially if you have a busy schedule...it gets intense! But overall, she's pretty nice. DON'T BE LATE TO CLASS. She wont accept your work if you're late. This class requires focus!

She will grade every word you write on the paper. But she will let you do rewrite and some extra credit works. Trust me, it is a very intense class. Dont take this class if you have a busy schedule because she give out assignment every of her class.

Professor Zimbler is an excellent teacher and I am grateful to have had her for English 101. She helps her students to become better writers and thinkers. I truly enjoyed this class.

i am currently in her class and although it a lot of reading and writing, the work is very doable. yes she is interesting and yes she is hot. she also knows her stuff, and she is very easy to pay attention to.

I am currently in her 028 class. What a wonderful ride we are experiencing! I enjoy every minute of this class. She is funny, beautiful (inside and outside), knowledgeable and extremely constructive. She does everything to help everyone understand the grammar as well as the essays. I learned so much. What a beautiful summer I am having. A***

Summer course was quick and tough. Didn't have enough time to process everything but then again I was working full time. Generous with extra credit. Super laid back. Expect pop quizzes, read your books. Gives journals about the reading material which isn't hard. Available to help. Taking her English 103 next semester.

Professor Zimbler is amazing! She really cares a lot about her students. She want to see her students succeed in understanding the material. If you participate in class discussions and ask questions you should be okay. She is always happy to answer questions. So if you don't understand something in the book don't hesitate to ask her a questions.

I took professor Zimbler because she was my last alternative choice. This decision has been one of my best decisions . Her lectures and her advice have changed my life completely. Her class won't be easy . A lot of time and dedication must be put in order to receive a good grade. She will critizie your work, but this will benefit you completely.

She is a very good professor. My writing skills have developed so much by taking her class. She is a nice professor who is willing to help if you're having any sort of problems in her class. Expect pop quizzes, and expect to read. Would take her again. Would recommend her to my friends, and to those who are reading this at the moment.

She did a good job. Picked articles that taught us interesting things about how our educational and class system works. Grades fairly and and makes the class fun. I recommend her if you want a good English class and fun teacher...

Very interesting teacher with a lot to let you know about English. Be ready to use your critical thinking, work hard, rewrite several times and, of course, highly recomending to use the english writing center. You can always meet her there and discuss all the confusing moments. Just ask for help! Very good opportunity to improve your essay skills

Professor Zimbler is very knowledgeable about her work. Her lectures and reading assignments are very insightful about today's society and its disparities. Be ready to work, read, write and use your critical thinking skills. She always open to answering questions. Don't recommend her if you're not a good writer, she has a preference for her stuff.

Zimbler is a great professor. The material is very interesting and insightful. As long as you are willing to work hard and manage your time responsibly, this class should be fairly easy. I learned so much throughout this course. The readings were very engaging and covered many important issues. SI Tutoring and extra credit opportunities available.

Reading, grammar work, and essays. Thats all there is to it. There are occasional quizzes on the grammar and reading, as well as a journal which is rarely used. Other than that there are 4 essays overall.

Prof. Zimbler's course is unlike your other English courses. It's full of readings, essays, and discussions but she really does a great job incorporating real life into her course. It's rewarding and interesting. It might be hard to take during summer/winter, but if you take it in the reg semester, it's doable for sure. DEFINITELY need to read!!

She's extremely nice!! She gives great feedback and goes the extra mile to help you. If you wanna learn would recommend taking her class. At the end of the term for me she had us read a book made us take an exam and write an in-person essay for the final which sucks but I did well because I listen and ask for help so remember that ~~
