I love her class. Her classes are very interesting. Shes very insightful and she cares for her students. Shes very understanding and nice. Very very reasonable. You'll learn a lot of interesting stuff in her class. Not your typical "professor" and I love it!

Jodi is really cool. She is really into breaking things down and not giving into the usual structure of things. Although she doesn't teach in a traditional way I have still learned ALOT! I will definately be taking her again!

She is really fun and easy to relate to. She tries to make class fun and shows really good movies. Her lectures are cool and she connects lectures back to each other so that you can follow along well. She doesn't give a final and assigned a really cool art project instead. She also brings us in treats all the time!!!

Jodi is sooo nice and helpful. Online class is very easy. Reading every week pretty much with easy reflections. A few very easy assignments. No mid term, final was two one page essays, easy! Final project was two PPT slides relating a picture to the class. Definitely recommend this class and instructor!

Took her online course. She is really nice and answered every one of my emails. Every week you read a power point and a short story thing then post discussions on them. No exams or textbook. Just discussions, about 7 shorts responses (less than a pg each) and a written final. I enjoyed the class. She even assigns movies to watch which is fun!

The online class has A LOT of reading. Weekly online quizes are kind of hard. If you don't like to read, I would recommend taking Christian instead because everyone says his class is awesome. However, Davis is very nice and helpful, and the class is definitely interesting. I like it... I just wish it were a little slower paced.

Online class is very good for a GE. If you need any help she is more than willing. Lectures are posted but have online quizs every week. As long as you go over the lectures you will do fine in the class. 2 books are needed to be read but are not hard. As long as you stay responsible you will do well

i took the web class! and wow! talk about an easy A! alot of reading but its interesting stuff....some of it and the quizzes online are extremely easy...highly recommend this class plus she write bak to emails immediately when you need help!

If your looking to grow as a person take Jodi's class. This is one of those classes that will change your perspective. Also, Jodi is hilarious, approachable, and really knows her stuff.

Jodi changed my life. I'm thinking of declaring a Women's Studies major now. She cares so much for the subject and her students. Every student should be required to take a class from her. Seriously you will not regret it!

She is such a good teacher. As long as everyone participates and talks, which is easy to do, it is an easy A. Her class changed my life and I now have a completely different outlook on life. She is the coolest and i would definitely recommend to take her!!

Jodi is really fun and let our class move the discussion where we wanted it to go. We started out by getting a historical and theoretical background on sexuality and then moved on to discuss in detail different topics that we could apply the ground work to. She is amazing! I learned so much and never once dreaded coming to class. She is the best

Awesome professor. She is so chill and easy. Attendance isn't mandatory and you want movies a couple times during the semester. We watched a french movie, the Matrix, When Harry Met Sally, and Milk. I read one of the books she assigned five years ago and I pulled off a B in the class. Also there is an end of the year party.

SUPER cool and laid back. she takes attendance sometimes. Basically we just read books that she assigned, they are NOT hard at all, talked about it, and took mini quizzes Midterm is an essay that was not hard AT ALL. Turned that in online so didn't go on midterm day. She's really understanding so she's nice about late work. TAKE HER!!!

EASY class, just do reading and participate in class. NO final, easy essays. Mostly just reading fun books, watching movies, and talking. Be sure to participate and talk during class-she gets really upset if you don't. Take her for an easy A!

Besides Gendered Society, the books for the class are understandable and enjoyable. No finals, just a couple essays and quizzes and a group presentation at the end. Collects discussion points for chapters at random times so do them all .Movies she showed were great and the class consisted of discussions most of which were interesting. Take her!

This class was pretty easy. Not much work, but a little bit of reading. Mostly a discussion class with debates and such. As long as you don't text in class, you should be golden.

SHE IS AN AWESOME TEACHER. She will change your life and perspective / views on people & society. We watched a lot of movies, but the movies relate to the things we're learning about. She is very clear on quizzes and there aren't any trick questions. As long as you read the books, you're fine. They are VERY fun reads!! Take her, its a must!

Awesome professor. Super fun. Hard grader on essay's. Readings were really difficult. No tests, just two essays and she didn't make us do the second one. Had a drag assignment at the end of the year and a potluck. Take her if you can!!

best professor I have ever taken at CSUF...no midterm, no final, no papers, no essays, etc. As long as you go to class, do the weekly online excersize and the 5 blogs you are set. She is an amazing person and this was the first class I have ever taken that I genuinely enjoyed. She will change your life! MUST TAKE!

Jodi Davis is the best professor ever! Every class is super interesting. She has an amazing personality. She's always in a good mood. There's no midterm, final, or essay. There are only 5 media blogs and weekly online quizzes. The reading is required but it's not boring. You must take professor Davis! You will not regret it!

If you want an easy class that's super interesting, then this is the class for you! My class was 8:30am, so it was fairly quiet and lacked participation, but the professor was REALLY good with keeping the class interested. She has no exams or a final and the only thing required was attendance, participation and a couple of online homework.

Online class was super interesting. She assigned books that made me look at the world differently. The assignments she gave were mostly discussions ( which required multiple classmate replies) and a few quizzes. She responded to e-mails quick, graded quick and sent out reminders. Super nice lady and really interesting class. Highly recommend!!

Easy A class. You need to participate in class or else you get marked down but I said nothing the whole year and still got an A-. No tests or quizzes. Her class is interesting, i recommend taking her.

No text book, but lots of online reading. 5 sections, multiple discussion boards and written assignments. A few papers. Easy class, but can become time consuming and stressful if you procrastinate. Overall, simple class

Awesome, dedicated teacher. She really knows how to discuss gender I such an interesting, different concept. I took this as an elective & it totally made me think about gender roles in a different way. Definately a well worthy class.

Great prof. Keeps it very basic. Simple(mostly) online readings. Positive/interesting attitude/personality. Passionate about what she does. No exams. 5ish simple assignments. Take home final essay. Very personable in office hours as well as class. Best 100-level class around. She's great, you'll learn something. Easy A.

AMAZING! She is passionate and has interesting lectures!! Had a ton of fun in her class. She is so legit. No textbook, but read the articles she gives you. Watched a lot of movies and learned all about gender studies!

Jodi is funny as hell and doesn't take herself too seriously. She is really smart and makes learning so fun and easy. She made every day interesting and I never wanted to miss class. Great professor!

I loved this class it was a lot of fun just do the few readings she gives you and you will do just fine. And at least twice a month we watched movies in her class which where very interesting i recommend taking her class.

No Exams, No Final, No textbooks. Class is mainly made up of discussion forums, 5 question quizzes (Timed at 10 minutes) , 200 Word Essays, and one project. Professor Davis is great, she's an easy grader and she assigns fun readings. If you've got a busy schedule, WMST 100 Online with professor davis is the way to go!

No Final! Overall, her grading on the essay so a little confusing, but once you go to her office hours or ask her what is wrong, you can get straight A on your essays. Be sure to dedicate some time for typing in the discussion boards.

Prof Davis is the best. I have taken many online classes and they can be so confusing. She is crystal clear and really quick with emails. I felt like she was really there in our classes. Definitely recommend! Cool and interesting stuff!

Jodi is THE BEST. She is so interesting and knowledgeable about gender and queer studies. She makes you do a lot of reading but it's super interesting and she has interesting things to add and talk about.

Jodi is a fantastic teacher. She is really passionate about the subject and opened my eyes to the subject. i had taken other classes before but she picked out better readings and so many interesting things to say.

We just finished class yesterday and I am kinda bummed. She is so interesting and funny. Never a dull moment in her class. I hope to take another one of her classes as soon as I can. Can't believe how much my eyes were opened.

I loved this class! I took it online as it was so easy to follow I learned a lot in this class. I was allowed to open up about sexuality and had a voice in this class. The story telling project was great. This class is not hard. It is a class that everyone should take with professor Davis. She is amazing!!! One of the best teachers at csuf!

Professor Davis does a good job of breaking down complicated readings for her students. Really challenges how you think. Not hard with tests and stuff but hard in a different way, makes you think.

Fairly easy as long as you do all the assignments. Her quizzes are fairly easy, too if you read, her 200 words essays are okay mainly because she ask critical thinking questions, engage in the discussion boards, and if you do all those three requirements, you will pass her class. She can be confusing at first, but you will get used to it eventually

Great professor. Highly recommend her. Discussion boards every week. 5 short essays and quizzes every 3 weeks, and 3 blogs. Fairly simple. I do recommend that you have her check your first paper to make sure you are doing the citations correctly. Overall, a great class. I really learned a lot.

Took Davis this semester and it was a challenging course but understands how some struggle since she knows what it like to be a undergrad unlike some other profs who show no mercy. Just do the reading and take notes and you are good. Essays are hard but i recommend you ask for help before turning it in. Overall Davis is awesome :D

Jodi is one of my very favorite professors. She is brilliant in her field. Her teaching style is structured and clear. Reading every week but not too much and it's interesting. Class participation is key. One big group project, but it's a really great one. Never had fun on a group project like I did on this one.

Great professor and a fairly easy online class. There was weekly discussion boards and posts that are mandatory but the content was SOOO easy especially for a 300 course. Even if your posts were short or stupid she gave full credit so you have to try to fail.

Organized Titanium layout of assignments/readings. Clear expectations/grading criteria. Provides feedback/is responsive. A lot of work, but you'll learn a lot and the material is interesting. Typically 2-3 discussions + classmate responses, 1 quiz, 1 200 word essay, 1 critical feminist blog, about 5 readings, and 1 video each module.

Took her online class and she's super sweet. Her powerpoints are great, and overall presents the material in an interesting way. Forum posts are graded pretty easily, and overall the class was a great experience.

One of the most organized online classes I've ever taken. It's very clear and easy to follow along, even if it's you're first time. She's a tough grader when it comes to the discussion posts, as you have to cite the articles you have to read (which there are a lot of) As long as you do the work, you'll be fine.

This professor is AMAZING!! Her class consists of reading short articles and filling out a note sheet for each reading (she only collects the notes on some days, so if you forgot to read and she doesn't collect the notes, you're safe), a 3 pg. paper, and a project. Occasionally she would bring her dog to class, which was so adorable. TAKE HER!!

Take her for WGST 205! No tests, just discussion boards, short quizzes, and reading. She gives you plenty of time to do modules, usually a week. As long as you read given material stay on top of all your assignments, then you'll pass with a breeze. She's really nice and you learn a lot of valuable lessons.

I loved this class!! It was simple enough, readings, discussion boards, quizzes and/or 200 word essays. If you put in the work, it is really easy to get an A. I definitely recommend taking her! Plus this course opens your eyes to a whole new perspective!

It was a really interesting class. Two essays, one final project, and that's it. Would recommend and take again. Lots of reading but it wasn't extremely horrible. Watched some interesting films in class!

I LOVED this professor, she is extremely organized for an online class and gives a reasonable amount of time to finish the course work assigned. I learned so much from this class and it gave me a different perspective on life! We had a lot of discussion forums, small quizzes, 200 word essays, but if u do the reading and know the due dates its easy!

I learned quite a bit in this class and I appreciate how she was trying to expand our minds. This class was a good online class, the grading criteria was extremely clear. If for some reason you did not get 100% on something she would take him in the notes to tell you why and what you can do next time.

Jodi is really great professor. She cares so much about her students and her class schedules reflect that. The course consists of 2 essays and 1 reading journal assignment (that ended up becoming extra credit). She really encourages discussion so I wouldn't really recommend for more shy students.

Easy online class as long as you do all the work. The readings are very interesting! and that's coming from someone who hates reading. The work can be a bit time consuming but nothing too bad. DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS ONLINE CLASS!! A lot of students tend to forget that they sign up for an online class and fail it.

Rather than being lecture heavy as so many professors are, she lets the class discuss the very interesting reads. She is an incredible professor, one of my favorite of all time. Incredibly witty and hilarious, you'll want to attend class as much as possible. A flexible teacher and a respected person. Take her class, you won't regret it.

Super easy & insightful online class. Prof was very organized w/ her class & posted assignments early so you have so much time to do it. Class consisted of discussion forums, blogs, short quizzes & mini essays. The content & readings were very eye opening. Really great professor, definitely recommend taking her for online classes.

JUST DO THE WORK AND PASS! The previous posts show just how great she and the class really are. 15 discussion boards, 4 quizzes, 4 mini essays, 3 media blogs, and 1 wiki post. She structured the class in such a way that it always felt like a breeze and never felt like an overload. There is always plenty of time do to the assignments.

Super easy class with such a great professor! I highly recommend you take her, very easy and only asks for you to actually engage and participate. Everything is managed through Slack and only assigns two readings per week. Only 2 easy papers and check ins. Also, I highly encourage to attend class but is not fully enforced.

No live lectures or zoom, just assignments & discussion posts. Very nice professor, SUPER engaging & intriguing material. Makes you think outside the box on topics such as gender roles, sexuality, expression, identity, etc. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Davis-Pacheco and Dr. Christian meshed our classes together for this online semester and it worked very well! Dr. Davis-Pacheco is very understanding and the lecture podcasts are very interesting. The discussions are so open and allow us to really talk about what we think. There is A LOT of reading, multiple graphic novels ranging in length.

Davis-Pacheco is one of the most organized professors Ive ever had for an online class. Quizzes ever week either in films or books (books are comics) but you should read them in order to get 100 percents. Critical analysis (grades very fairly) and a few discussion post! I was skeptical about this class but I love it! Great for a GE!

This is by far the easiest class I have ever had. For the online format, there are seven different modules and you have two weeks to complete usually one discussion board and reply, a reading quiz, and sometimes a response paper. She makes you read four different comic books, ALL of which I found online for free, so don't buy them.

Professor Davis-Pacheco is awesome! Super sweet, super caring, super understanding. Lectures every week obviously but since the information is interesting, its not that hard to handle. The grading criteria is always super clear so you know exactly what youre writing. Reading is required but theyre all graphic novels so its easy-reading.

I never had a professor like her before, it sucks that i had to take her online because I think her class would have been really fun in person! I recommend her, lots of readings but easy to understand and enjoyable!

Dr. Davis Pacheco is very sweet and caring, as long as you do your work you're guaranteed a good grade. Her class only has one or two easy assignments a week. My only issue with this class is it feels a bit one sided opinion class. It feels like their is only one correct opinion or else the class will come for your neck.

As long as you do the work you should be fine. You can just skim through the readings and pass the reading quizzes but overall this class was fun and easy.

Class was incredibly easy! Just make sure you turn in all assignments and read the books assigned. Yes, some books were lengthy BUT they're comic books so easy reads. I once read 500 pages in 3 hours while at work. Books are obtainable AT YOUR LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARY! DO NOT waste money on the books! Professor is very responsive and caring! Recommend!

My favorite professor to have for this semester, I really enjoyed their class! The assignments were weekly online discussions and videos, and there was only one big paper assignment. She offered many chances for extra points and encouraged us to engage more with the material. There were no exams either!

EASY A!! believe me, everything here is doable. weekly assignments (usually a discussion post), and small little projects! can all be done in one sitting. trust me, take her. stress-free class!!

Dr. Davis is a very kind and respectful professor! Her assignments are very easy and doable, and the workload is very manageable. The professor herself was very understanding when issues came up and aims to make her classroom a mature and safe place to discuss and share ideas and opinions. Take this class if you can!

Stress free class literally. Easy class that consists of daily discussion posts, readings and once in a while an assignment about the news. Really doable. You could skimm through the readings. The in-person class basically is an online version of it. No tests as well. Easiest class and stress free.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Easiest class I have ever taken, NO EXAMS, 13 discussion posts, 5 1-paragraph news-related discussions, and a final project that is credit/no credit basically. I could still pass with a B without doing the project. Watched about 4-5 movies that were extremely eye-opening. She is extremely accommodating as well. 10000/10

Straightforward and informative class. No exams, mostly discussion posts. Was advertised as hybrid but in person was optional (all but one in person meeting was canceled anyway). Information in the syllabus is crucial, don't skim it, read it. Prof is very sweet and understanding, do your work and you'll pass.

Super easy class. Lenient. Allows late work at any time of the year (be mindful of the last week of school ofc.) Easy to contact. Class was hybrid but attendance turned out to be optional and most classes were cancelled anyway. She doesn't require you to buy a textbook, all readings are given. Easy projects, no quizzes, no tests, and no final.

Hybrid class, few in-person meetings. Attendance is not mandatory. Canceled meetings often, but it was communicated early. The few assignments were creative projects with a super lenient grading scale. Class concepts were insightful. The readings were intimidating but not too bad; you could get away with skimming. Easy class, would recommend!

Provides very good feedback and grades fairly! The grading consists of very few assignments and I appreciate that all the assignments had set dates at the start of the semester and were very organized. This course is so easy and great for procrastinators. No pointless busy work and no exams.

Professor Davis is so sweet! When class meets, discussion is great and she is so caring and funny. Unfortunately, class is frequently canceled so for me personally it was hard to keep track of what was happening in class because we weren't meeting. Depends a lot on your learning style, but she really is so sweet :)

Professor Davis deserves a raise! Her class was outstanding and truly inspirational, expanding my perspective. Attendance is key for her insightful free-write assignments. Though she had some understandable cancellations, I wish I'd known her more. Take her classes—you won't regret it!
