Professor Savell always shows an obvious interest in the education of her students. She makes herself available to help students learn in any way that they may need, and always teaches clearly and effectively. There is not a more kind or sincere professor in any class, anywhere. Her class will always be among my first choice for recommendation.

I took Intro to Psych and Life Span Development with Ms. Savell and I couldn't be more pleased that I did. She makes learning enjoyable. There isn't much work, so when you are given an assignment there's a purpose behind it, so do it. Again wonderful class(es) I HIGHLY recommend it anyone AND everyone. One of my favorite professors ever.

Wonderful professor, my favorite so far. I hope to take her again. Not many assignments, but do them all. She has you volunteer instead of write a research paper for Intro to Psych. Her class was awesome.

She is mostly lecture based, and provides note hadouts. Her tests are a little difficult, but if you listen and study the handouts, you'll be fine.Attending her class, is a really positive experience, and she always makes the material top notch.

Great teacher! She is positive and helpful. She always had a smile and made each class unique and entertaining. We never used the book in our class, instead it was lecture based with hand-out notes. Papers are graded for grammar and spelling, so make sure to proofread. As long as you show up and pay attention, easy A. She is also easy on the eyes.

Human Sexuality was the second class of hers that I took, first being Intro to Psych. I recommend anybody to take any of her classes. She is one of the most brilliant (modest) teachers I've ever had. She is respectful, understanding, and so-very emotionally intelligent. Ms. Savell is also HIGHLY supportive of her students; she's the best.

Dr. Savell is a brilliant Professor. No textbook needed. Verbal discussions are in each class. She liked questions, and she enjoys your personal interests on subjects. Go to each class on time and participate in talks and you shall do fine. Easy to understand. Do not do lazy written work because she is stricter than most English professors.

Best teacher you will ever find. She loves each and every one of her students and she loves what she does. Very fun and memorable. You will not be given your grades you do have to earn them but if you pay attention, show up, and interact you will easily get an A+

One of the greatest teachers I've ever had. She keeps the lectures interesting and fun. I have honestly never paid more attention or stay as focused as I did in that class. Ms. Savell is a hilarious and engaging lecturer. Only 4 tests and 1 small writing assignment, but there is a lot of material to study. Only used the textbook for the writing assignment. Loves her students and is very willing to help. Gives you her powerpoint notes to print off and her tests are pretty easy. She is the best teacher at PHSC!

She is very kind, respectful, and inspiring to her students! She cares deeply and wants to make sure you get a good grade. The class was pretty simple and very entertaining! ABSOLUTELY Recommend her! Go to class, listen, she gives out the powerpoints printed out as notes. Review those notes and you will "smoke" the tests.

She was so welcoming and friendly. The class was easy to understand and the content was made fun and memorable. After already taking the course once with another prof, who was also good, she showed new ways to learn and understand the same material. I highly recommend!

I had her for Intro, Human Sexuality, and Lifespan and she's wonderful on about seven hundred different levels. And when I and a few others pointed out in human sexuality that some of her information on sexuality and gender was a little dated, she went on a research binge and fixed it! 10/10

One of the best teachers I have seen so far. Had no homeworks through out the entire semester just 4 tests and one essay which is only worth 5%. Tests are super easy if you read the powerpoint slides and pay a little attention in class. Hands down easy A

Mrs. Savell is probably the best teacher that I've ever had. She's absolutely hilarious and makes the lectures super interesting. She loves her students and really wants everyone to do well. Class consisted of 4 exams and 1 paper that only counted for 5% of the grade. Overall, a fantastic teacher. I'm definitely looking to take her again.

She's hilarious and makes all lectures interesting. Don't be late! She will call you out when you walk in "LATE!". Stay off your phone or she will kick you out. Sounds extreme but once you hear her lectures, you forget you even have a phone! There was 1 paper (10%) 1 group presentation (20%) and 2 exams (70%). I highly recommend her to everyone! :)

I have taken every class she offers. She is very caring and understands that life happens. She keeps you interested during the lesson and has zero homework. pay attention to the notes and you'll do fine on the tests. The papers are easy and the hardest class she has is Abnormal which is not "hard" in my opinion. Favorite teacher!

She takes Abnormal Psych. seriously, so study hard for the 2 tests, and follow her instructions when it comes to your 2 papers. She is very caring , easy to speak to if you have any problems, easy to reach outside of class, and will help you succeed.

Amazing professor. I had her for Abnormal Psych and Developmental Lifespan. Very entertaining and interesting. Needed a textbook for abnormal but not developmental. Tests are challenging but if you study it is easy to get an A! My favorite professor at PHSC

I took her abnormal psychology class first, and that is the hardest class she offers. We only had 4 assignments for the whole semester, so there was no room to mess up. I found her presentations entertaining, but she can be a little petty sometimes. We all have our days. I look forward to taking her other classes, as things can only get easier.

It's 3 tests and an essay. The tests are each 30% of your grade and the essay is 10%. The text book could be used for the essay but if you attend class she gives you notes for everything you'd need to pass the essay and tests .

Taking Intro to Psych and she love to interact and have class participation. Do not be late she will call you out, and do NOT come to class sick. You will be kicked out for electronics during class just DON'T DO IT! She is very informative and will answer any questions you have and likes to be involved in your learning.

Ms. Savell is a great professor she truly loves her job. She gives you the information needed to not only pass her class but succeed as well. Now, her Abnormal Psych class requires a lot of work. This is her elite class and she expects an elite paper. She does this because she wants you to learn how to write properly. I would 10/10 recommend her!

Cannot describe how awesome this teacher is! I have taken many of her classes and came out loving the subject taught and having lots of fun in class. Best teacher, she really cares for her students. Somethings like skipping for no reason and not participating make her upset but usually you will want to be there. Tests are not too bad but study well

Mrs. Savell was a great teacher. I took my first college class with her and it was the greatest experience. You must show up to classes to get the power points printed out for you if not she wont give it to you. She explains everything very well and gives you hints and examples that will help you on the test.

I took Intro to Psychology with Mrs. Savell online. There were several lectures, but all of them were very informative and interesting. I had two writing assignments and 4 exams the whole semester. I'd definitely recommend taking this class, but make sure you study for the exams!

She is such a great teacher! Her lectures keep me entertained and this is the first online class i've had that made me want to learn more. She helps to make sure her students actually retain information and her exams are a breeze if you pay attention and go to class.

This class is easy. You don't have much stuff you're graded by, but the tests are super easy once you study and pay attention. You don't even read anything from the textbooks. She makes her lectures enjoyable and makes u want to attend. She uploads her lectures on canvas so you can always go back and review. Definitely take her if your can!

I really enjoyed this class! Ms. Savell made the class so much fun. I took the course online and it was fairly simple if you watched or attended the lectures. She was so funny and made me actually want to learn. Studying was necessary to pass the tests but everything that was on the test we went over in length. If you pay attention you will succeed

She really cares about her students, tries to make class fun, and provides examples for almost everything she teaches. There was no homework except for 3-4 assignments that were mostly short essays. Tests are also a large part of the grade but they're all multiple choice and pulled directly from the PowerPoint. Super easy if you pay attention.

Such a sweet lady. I never met her in person because I took her online during the pandemic, but anytime I asked her a question through email, she responded with enthusiasm and desire to help her students. I would love to take her class again.

I had Ms. Savell during covid when everything was on zoom. Despite this, her class was engaging, and while I would fall asleep during other classes I took that semester, I was fully present for hers. The work was light, but she still made the lectures memorable. I learned a lot in her class, she's definitely one of the best professors at PHSC.

Professor Jodi is amazing! she truly cares for her students & makes the lectures so interesting. we had an assignment every week throughout the semester but they were all easy. exams are open book & right out of the power points. I highly recommend her & well definitely take her again next semester.

Graded on two essays (both easy As, one only worth 5%), midterm, and final. Clearly cares about her students, responds to student feedback, and is flexible on due dates. Lectures are very entertaining and illuminating, + she even gives tips on studying and retaining material. Definitely a good prof to take :)

She is the exact kind of professor that ignites passion for a subject. Her lectures are engaging and interesting. The workload is very light (two easy essays, a midterm, and a final). Absolutely take her if you plan to take psychology. You'd be missing out otherwise.

She is amazing. My class was online so i learned through youtube videos she put on canvas. She has notes due once a week and there are just blanks to fill in so very easy. She explains very very well and her tests are exactly what was in the notes and no trick questions. I would highly recommend.

If you are exhausted and just need a class that will give you a break, pick this one. All you have to do is attend the Zooms, and complete a midterm and final exam to pass. That's it, no other assignments really. Took this class while heavily affected by a hurricane, she was very accommodating. Camera required, yet not intimidating if your are shy.

Best teacher you could ever get. Online lectures were clear and easy to follow. Shes also super funny. We had one assignment per week which was just to watch the lecture and do a fill in the blank page. Had two in person tests that were so easy, just study the notes and rewatch the videos. One of those teachers who genuinely care she is super kind

Loved her class but it can get boring sometimes.. only issue I had was there are only 3 or 4 grades and 2 of them were exams and she doesn't give a study guide. She does print out the slides and put them on canvas so as long as you make flash cards or study a lot it's not that bad. She was funny though

The absolute easiest class I will ever take in my life. It was hybrid remote so all we had to do was sit on zoom for an hour going through a lecture, which was very engaging, and then log off to do no homework. Only one assignment with the textbook that was quick and easy. Tests were pretty much straight from the lectures and super easy.

Really easy since the exams were based on the PPs notes that she gave us, so you would just want to study/review that before exam day. You do write a golden rule assignment but that's up to you (she lets you decide). Few assignments to do so no biggie. She is very caring. Textbook isn't necessary but once again that's up to you.

Miss Savell is truly the best- Don't let her button-up cardigan and classy pearls intimidate you. She is down to earth and so caring about her students. She provides valuable information in regards to the course and she shares interesting "fun facts" too. Give her your full attention during her lectures and you will do well.

I would take every class this woman offers, she is amazing, she loves what she does and loves her students. We had a midterm, a final, and 2 projects and that is it, we met once a week for zoom and it was short, she was funny, and informative. I have truly never had a better professor or class load. Exams are strait from PPTS which is good and easy
