Very fun and nice

Great online class - this Instructor was one of the best I have ever had and I use eveything I learned in this class on a daily basis. You have to keep up, do the lessons and you will do great!

Dr. Butler is actually a pretty dope professor. I completely underestimated her class though, it is A LOT of work and you have to study for her class. But I actually learned a lot and discovered a study technique that I like. I struggled a bit but still managed to get an A. DO NOT SKIP this class more than twice imo it is hard to get back on track.

I think she is awesome. I love her dry sense of humor, and she really cares about students. After campus closed she was my only professor that kept meeting with us every week and kept helping us and working with us live online.

Most organized online class I've ever taken. Not easy, but very clear what is expected. She also loves to be helpful and she makes herself available to students.

She is a really great, funny professor. If you show up to class and actually try it is an easy B, just don't miss deadlines. If you go the extra mile and study for test and participate in class its not that hard to get an A.

PSYC G130 critical thinking in psychology class is cool. Its a lot of writing because it transfers the same as ENGL G110 so there are a lot of papers, but to me this class is a lot more interesting and plus I failed ENGL G110 so I definitely recommend PSYC G130 lol

Abnormal Psychology is super interesting, I wish I could've taken it on campus but this online class very organized. A lot of assignments, but Dr. Butler is very helpful and you can tell she really cares about students.

Critical Thinking in Psychology was a cool class, and Dr. Butler did a good job teaching it. Stay on top of weekly deadlines and ask for help if you need it. Recommend 10/10

Taking her online Intro to Psych class, the workload is moderate and what is expected is very clear. Class is organized and easy to follow, and she gives good feedback and help but doesn't overwhelm you with a million emails and announcements.

Intro to Psych online, keeps you busy but not hard. Just keep on top of deadlines, follow the (sometimes overly detailed) directions, and it is a relatively easy A.

Took her online intro to psych class and enjoyed the material covered. Professor was helpful and answered emails fast, and the book for the class is totally free.

This teacher is so amazing! She gives HW that is due at the end of the week, no tests (!!) no textbook purchase, makes the modules easy to read and fun! and one research paper due at the end! great class I def. recommend!

Took her PSYC 130 Critical Thinking in Psychology class instead of ENGL 110 Critical Thinking in Literature and LOVED it. This class transfers the same as ENGL 110 so writing is required, but the assignments and issues were super interesting. Highly recommend!

I need an online class that is organized and clear and doesn't change dates on you and Dr. Butler provides that structure. Everything you need is in Canvas and it is all in the order you need to do it and she is quick to help and answer questions.

Taking her online psych of critical thinking and am surprised how much I like it! There are deadlines every week so you have to stay on top of it but she is one of those professors that is actually dying to help you if you ask for it so you can always get what you need

Dr. Butler takes teaching pretty seriously and wants students to learn all the material, but I enjoyed the class. She is nicer if you know her, so go to her office hours and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Intro to Psychology online was a straightforward class, organized and easy to follow. Everything you need is in Canvas, and it is a no-cost textbook. Important to stay on top of deadlines, otherwise highly recommended class.

Dr. Butler is tough, but she knows her stuff and wants students to succeed. I liked her class a lot, my only complaint is that there were so many different types of assignments creating a high need to read and follow instructions across the whole course, and she seriously expects all instructions to be followed so being detail oriented helps!

I was a little nervous taking Dr. Butler's class from reading the reviews, but after having her as a teacher I realize that she is one of the best. She sincerely cares about the success of students, and she is always willing to help. She does expect a lot, but she if you put in the work I promise it will pay off!

Dr. Butler has high expectations, and she will help you meet them, but she is not a "touchy feely" type of psychology professor. I personally love her, all expectations and what you need to do are crystal clear, and her class is interesting and very well organized.

Dr. Butler is fantastic. Read and follow instructions and let her know if you need help. She is helpful but also expects everyone to read the instructions plus she has a low tolerance for b.s. so keep it real. I loved her.

You will love her or you will hate her. If you like very clear detailed instructions and a very clear organized structure she is for you. If you prefer open ended vague instructions and super flexible course policies she is not for you.

Only 2-3 weekly assignments, professor butler emphasizes nitty-gritty work and gives assignments with simple instructions. Class is basically self-taught and independent work, and information given is directly taken out of the textbook. Responds quickly and never makes you feel pressured, but keep in mind this is a low contact class.

Loved the materail covered in the Critical Thinking Psych class, super interesting. A lot of writing since this class transfers the same as ENGL 110 but I'm really glad I took it in psychology instead of English it was very interesting and I highly recommend.

PSYCH 130 critical thinking online - no textbooks and no exams, all writing critical analysis on issues like conspiracy theories. Very cool class but not a joke, must keep on top of coursework every week and follow all directions. Gives clear instructions but go see her right away if its not clicking, she is very available and seems happy to help.

Took PSY 280 Research Methods online that is not an easy topic so wish I could've taken it in person but her online class is organized and not too difficult. Free textbook, has students write their own exam questions. I would take her again.

She is great and her class is well put together. It's easy to do well if you do the work and she always responds to email.

I'm in this class right now and it's a tough subject, so the class requires quite a bit of time. This professor is really knows what she is talking about though. It's obvious she cares about the subject and that we learn. She breaks the big project down in a way that makes it a lot less overwhelming. I'd definitily take her again.

This class is so interesting how can it not be given the subject matter. She only uses free textbooks which I appreciate. Her late policy is flexible and she even gives you options for the type of exams you want to take. She has made the class very easy to do well in.

I took this class last year. It counts as English 110, so there has to be writing and I wasn't thrilled with writing even if it's interesting topics, but let me tell you something. I am so thankful I did! This class helped me so much in my later classes and my higher level classes. Take it. Just take it.

Such a fun class! I learned so much about so many things. There are no exams and no text book to buy. You won't want to miss the workshops! I've never been able to get such good feedback. This professor will bend over backward to help you learn, but you gotta show up.

I sucked at stats. I struggled with writing. I failed this class before with another professor, but this time I PASSED and actually did well. It's because of how Dr. Butler has the class set up. This class has such fun content, and it's obvious that Dr. Butler has a blast teaching it. Her modules are amazing and her feedback invaluable. I only wish I'd taken the 16 week class. A great online class is one which the teacher shows their interest in the topic and seems to have fun when creating assignments. You can be interested in a topic, but if the professor isn't, you will hate it. Dr. Butler did this super well and made all the online course work really fun to complete, which I didn't think could be possible.

This is the 3rd online class I've taken with Dr. Butler, and each one has been different but equally great! She is so good at varying the content to match the type of class which can't be easy. She does stick to her course policies which are clearly explained in her syllabus, but they are flexible and easy. I appreciate her humor and dedication.

Class gets a 4, but the professor gets a 5. Wish they had halfs, I guess. Dr. Butler knows her stuff. I struggled, but she was always there to help and answer my questions. I just had a hard time with methods, but she got me through! I mean I had definitely had to put in the work. She's kind of an easy grader on homework though.

Good class. I feel like I got a good fundamental understanding of research methods, so I feel prepared for what's coming when I transfer. She uses a text book, but it's free. She also gives a grace period on assignments which I took full advantage of.

I really liked the interactive kind of learning through the modules and, honestly, the flexible late work policy. I also appreciated the free textbook. Like aLOT. The class wasn't just about memorizing information but understanding how to apply it. Dr. Butler is obviously into the subject.

I'm not sure what to say other than this was an amazing class. I've always struggled with writing, so I was super nervous coming in, but I shouldn't have been. This professor is awesome. She is so encouraging and funny. Even when I struggled I never felt like I couldn't do it.

I took this class last year in person, and it was by far the BEST class of my life. Honestly, I was a mediocre student at best at that point, but sometimes all it takes is one class to change it all, and this was that class for me. Dr. Butler made me love school again.

It seems like Dr. Butler is always there on her email. No matter what time I emailed, she responded. This class is just good. I've taken a few online classes, but this one is so well put together. She just walks you through everything you need to know and do. I'd defiantly take her again.

I have now taken this professor for Psyc 100, 130, and 255. She is excellent. All 3 classes were really different. She is super engaged and willing to help you succeed.

Research methods is a tough class but it's because research methods is a tough class. Professor Butler gives tons of feedback an is always willing to help. She has such a good sense of humer. I've gone to her so many times this semester. I really feel like I've learned so much.

This teacher is so funny and this class is fun. I'm taking it in person and it's one of those classes that you're just excited to go to. It's really opened my eyes about so many things. It's a writing class so there are quite a few papers, but Dr Butler goes over them with you so you can do your best. I can't say enough about this class. So good.

So far so good! This is the 2nd time I've taken this class. The first time I took it with another professor and I was completely lost, but this time I'm doing it. Dr. Butler is really kind and she genuinely cares about her classes and the students.This class is no joke but it seems important for when I transfer so I take it seriously. She does give tons of feedback especially on the research project. Also, she gives an extra 24 hours on almost every assignment and one big extension during the semester.

A fun and interesting class! She has a grace period for almost every assignment and you can do a big extension in the semester if you need it. No tests.I took the 12 week course, but I wish I'd take the 16 week. She really makes you feel comfortable with writing. I liked meeting with her. It doesn't usually happen in my other online classes.

This class has to be one of my most enjoyable English writing classes. For papers you have to write, she meets you through Zoom at an appointed time to go over your rough draft, going through the entire essay and giving helpful advice as to what to improve on before the final submission. Would recommend taking 130 for critical thinking requirement.

I was afraid of this class, but I did well. It's a hard class because it's a hard subject, but if you stay on top of it, you will have no problems. Professor Butler has an automatic grace period for all her homework thank god. It saved me. My favorite thing was the exams.She gives everyone 4 different ways to take the exams!

Butler is a super chill prof & makes lectures fun. I will say some of her assignments didn't have clear directions & she doesn't give you any due date reminders. This class included SO many writing assignments & a (minimum) 6-8 page research paper as the final. No tech is allowed in the class & discussion/participation is a big part of your grade

Professor Butler's PSYC280 class is well-structured and engaging. Her clear instructions, flexible policies, and genuine interest in the subject make this course rewarding. I found Unstuck ai helpful for studying alongside the free textbook.

Professor Butler gives the best feedback I've ever gotten in a writing class. This has to be my favorite class I've taken online. Yes, it's a writing class, but its all about super interesting psychology topics. I felt supported which isn't easy in an online class. Would take her again and again.

Because of the work and the way it's structured in her course, it COUNTS. Take it!!

This class is totally doable. The work opens each week and is straightforward and clear. Stay on top of it and you'll be fine. I was nervous about taking the class, but Dr. Butler's class is great.

If you really want to succeed in her class, read!! I know it gets boring but reading and taking notes being a requirement actually helped me succeed in this class. She also caters towards students needs by providing multiple options for exams to suit your preferred testing style. She gives extremely useful feedback as well.

The work is doable as long as you stay on top of it and the topics are really interesting. She is great and seems to really care that you do well. I'm taking her next semester too.

Pretty solid prof I can't lie

I have had her for 2 classes. She is a great teacher. I feel prepared to move on to my four year now. The individual writing workshops are a huge help. She takes so much time meeting everyone one on one. I don't know how she does it.

Honesty, the only reason I made it through this class was because Professor Butler was so supportive.

Do not take this class with Dr. Butler, if you do not plan on putting in the work! There is chapter reading, lectures and several assignments due each week, all with a PURPOSE. You will not pass if you procrastinate and lack effort. Took her classes a few times and they were well worth it, despite being difficult at times.

I learned more in this class than any other class I've taken at GWC. I really appreciate that. So many professors don't even care if you learn anything, but Dr Butler does. She walks you through everything step by step. At the end I realized that everything you're doing is for a reason.

I just finished this class and it was really good. Professor is on top of it. Don't procrastinate and follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Very easy to do well. The homework is pretty normal compared to other classes. I struggled with some stuff but every time I reached out she was really helpful.

I had a great experience in this class! Dr. Butler is knowledgable and assignments were fair and easy to keep up with. She was approachable and gave helpful feedback. You do have to keep up with the reading and start projects early, but if you stay on top of it, you'll do well. Highly recommend this class if you're serious about psychology.

This is my 2nd class with Professor Butler. I liked her so much in Methods that I took her writing class. The assignments helped to teach me how to write concisely and clearly.The workload is steady but totally manageable and the assignments build on each other. Feedback was super constructive and she really spends a lot of time with each student.

Dr. Butler has high expectations, but she will go above and beyond to help you. She isn't always great at giving detailed feedback on every assignment, but she cares and especially if you ask for help ahead of a deadline she will make sure you succeed.

Good class. Just do what she says and you'll be fine. Not that hard.

Great class. She tells you exactly what you need to do and meets with you to make sure you do well. She also gives a grace period on all assignments. It's obviuus she cares and is there to help.

This is honestly one of the best online classes I've taken in college. It can be a tough subject, but Dr. Butler made it clear and practical. She breaks down the concepts and project into manageable steps and she's super available when you reach out with questions. All the assignments are for a reason. 100% recommend.

I took this class with Dr Butler last semester and it was so helpful. Every time I emailed her, she responded fast, and I emailed her a lot. She is also always available for a zoom if you need to talk it out with her. The assignments made sense and at the end when you put it all together, they were for a reason. My favorite online class this semester. It counts as an english class and a psychology class. She has a grace period and meets with you to show you how to do the writing. I don't think I've ever actually met one of the online teachers. Really responsive professor.

Research Methods is a tough class because its a tough subject but the professor is excellent. She is helpful and I feel like I'm actually learning how to do this.

This is an online social science writing class mixed with very fun psychology concepts. I loved it! Professor Butler is awesome and the class is interesting and there are no surprises. I learned a ton, and I hate writing less.

This was my second time taking research methods (with another instructor last time), and my second class with this professor. I had her for 130 too. She is so helpful and I reached out to her many times. The class is a good mix of assignments and reading. The final project is challenging but great! It really did help me build research skills.

I just really, really liked this class.
