Great lady, very personable, but needs to slow it down for the slow learners. Sometimes she thinks we know it and continues on with the assumption. What does assume mean? LOL

This prof was the best math teacher I ever had - I wish I could have taken him with me when I had to take the other math classes. He doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions and he really wants you to get the material.

SHE ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT THE STUDENT UNDERSTAND BEFORE SHE GOES ANY FURTHER, BUT IF YOU STAY QUIET AND NOT LETTING HER KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS NOT CLEAR, SHE WON'T BE ABLE TO READ YOUR MIND

I would never have passed without he help. She is truly devoted to her students. If she is going too fast in class for you, she asks you to be patient while she teaches the other students, then will sit with you privately till you get it. Very caring!!

She is great, she strive for all of her students to learn. She goes an extra mile to help students who don't understand the material.

First class teacher, knows what she is doing and very nice and fair. She is devoted to help. She made me love math!

Great teacher she will work with you until you understand the problem, and she gives you plenty of extra credit. She works with a program as opposed to a book which I like but the tests don't resemble the problems in the program too much. All and all she's the best and easiest math teacher I’ve had.

Very dedicated and caring. Uses cd which is helpful in giving solution for every problem!! Makes sure class understands , funny and Always ANSWERS QUESTIONS.

I took 2 of her classes. Her lecture is clear and helpful.

She is a really good techer. If at least do all the homework she assigns and study them before a test you will be fine. She also helps you out if you have any questions behalf any problems. She has her times where you become lost but you can catch up easy!

She's a great teacher. A little rushed, but great. SHE TAKES THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOU. And makes sure you understand before going on.

Best Prof I've had. She cares if you understand. She won't spend too much class time explaining to one person who doesn't get it. Privately she will go over the material until you get it. She's never missed an appt for me and i had many. I hate math, loved Jodie Fry! Highly recmd.

She's really nice passed her class with a C average. She helps you alot when needed but you really need to understand what your doing on the test. The final exam is extremely hard. Always on time for her appointments and willing to help you when needed.

you need to study inorder to get a grade, most kids failed and hated the teacher bc they did not study and failed the test! went after to check my tests and got extra points for finding mistakes! very smart and awesome teacher. i didnt miss a day of her class, thats why i passed with an "a"!

Fry is a great math professor. She clearly goes over the all the material until you get it. The tests aren't that hard, just have to review your notes. She is always willing to help you after class and if you review your tests with her she gives 5 extra points for each test! I highly recommend her for anyone who struggles with math.

She's fast paced (she a New Yorker). Great teacher. She keeps the pace moving but still is available if you're having problems.I waited for her to return from MLV just to take this course with her. Had her for Elementary Algebra. She rocks!!!

good teacher, but the tests are hard. she goes by the whole chapter in 2 days. on the tests, half of the stuff she didn't teach. and that's all the only grades you get: from the tests. if you want the credit, then take some other professor. take her only if you're taking this class only.

Anyone who can bring me from the abyss of failure to a grade C in Math,is a genius. This was my last attempt at this course, and prof Fry was extremely helpful. You've got to do your homework if you're going to keep up. There's an awful lot of material to cover and the tempo is brisk. Slow learners, and lazybones should enroll with someone else.

She is a very FAST pace teacher! She really cares about her students though.. offers plenty of EC & encourages you to go over your test with her. Its really easy to get lost in her class so make sure you get a good nights rest the night before class! Like any other math course, you just have to PRACTICE the material and you'll get it!

Great personality and very helpful if you come to her for questions. Although, her tests are hard. She gives these things called boarding passes which are kinda like quizzes and those suck. Most of the time it's stuff she doesn't go over in class, but you can go to her or the math lab for help. I wouldn't recommend her.

She is very nice and helpful. The only bad thing is that her test are extremely hard because they include the rare math problems with the weierdest answer that you will see, but she gives you points even if you don't get the right answer. Theres alot of extra credit.

Her test are not multiple choice and there are 10 questions and you have to show all your work. You have to know math to get a good grade. Doesn't collect hw and the boarding pass questions are not on the test. Did I say that her test are not multiple choice? So why are you still reading this?

the homework on math xl are super easy and her test are horrible. there isn't nothing better than the book cause it explains better than stupid math xl. when you get a high grade on a test she takes points for the smallest thing, but when you get a bad score she lets you slide with small mistakes, which i noticed.take someone else.

run away and don't take her. your test grade will go down from the 1st exam.class is real boring makes it painful!! i am not bad in math and i found her real boring. i had to teach my self the graphs because she does not explain that well.

maybe you don't like her because she doesn't give you a review sheet for the test, but she doesn't teach a test! I learned so much in her class. Her reviews are fun too, she puts music on while we work out problems in a group....all for extra credit to the test .

as far as her saying stupid question,she would never say stuff like that, she was my teacher for 3 different classes. I think I was in your class when you asked if her to repeat a few things cuz she said 23 hundredths and you kept asking how when your answer was .23. And this was trig!

Pro. Fry is a very nice teacher but she goes extremely fast. Its kinda hard to keep up with her if your a slow learner, but if your not then you should be fine. Tests are NOT multiple choice so you gotta know your stuff.

AWESOME TEACHER!!! TIPS: DO NOT BUT THE BOOK, you don't need it. The MathXL cds is what she teaches from... You must do your homework to pass this class, although she DOES NOT grade, collect, nor check homework... it's to your benefit to do it. I took her for Intermediate Algebra (passed with an A) and I plan to take her for PreCal next semester.

she don't tell a student to drop, she encourage you to go to her office for extra help..I don't know who the previous person talk about, but can't be the mrs.

She's an amazing teacher! She gives you so many extra credit opportunities. She's funny, charismatic and a great person. You do not need to buy the CDs. She's fair at grading. If you are good or OK at math, then you won't have trouble passing. She helps you out before class and in her office.

In this class u will need to really understand the work fully to pass. I was not super at math and I ended with a B, but I did have to put alot of time into this class. If you are not good at math then take one math class per semeser and other electives not core classes. I felt like she moved too fast, and that there was too much work per test.

Fry is a great & effective teacher. I'm not too strong when it comes to math but she's very helpful & gives so much extra credit opportunities. My B was earned through studying and just asking for clarification. Don't register if you are not self-disciplined to do training with the online book!

Mrs. Fry is one the of the best, if not the best math professors at Broward! I took her for PreCal, earned an A & Trig, earned a 86% without much effort at all. Also, the examples she uses in class are really all you need to get an A on the tests. I did not buy mathXL, I looked over the notes from class and studied the boarding passes for exams.

Professor Fry is an amazing teacher. I was never one or math, however, she makes math fun and easy to understand. She allows her students to earn extra credit on many occasions. She is understanding and considerate. Ask for help and she will help you. GREAT PROFESSOR!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic teacher, her class is organized to a pattern where it makes it perdictable tests and best part, no book, a $24 CD as a textbook. Material is not an overall easy theme, but if you study just enough, it's a easy grade. I recomend her to anyone hands down.

Mrs. Fry was so helpful! Each exam in class is directly based of the assigned homework and you get 5 extra credit points for reviewing your exam with her after class (for each exam!). The coursework was a little difficult at times, I had to study hard, but if I had questions, Mrs. Fry would work them out in class or in private. She's awesome!!

If not for her i would have never passed this class! Gives one-on-one time. Really wants students to learn. Lots of extra credit too!

Ms.Fry cares about how much you learn, not about the grade on your test. She gives lots of forgiveness opportunities for those questions that you might have just made that silly mistake. She doesn't look for a correct answer, instead she looks for the correct method. She's funny, and enthusiastic - definitely the best math teacher in the school.

Mrs. Fry has been a great teacher from my early days of pre-algebra through pre-calculus. She cares about each student and makes herself available for every student. She wants each student to pass successfully. I would definitely recommend her and take her for another class.

The class was awesome. Fry really does a great job at explaining and easy notes for you to write down. She is also well organized and gives you a chance for a better grade on a test whether you pass it or not. Also, gives extra credit and is super helpful if you don't understand something. I haven't had a Math professor like this one in a while!

She is very good. The class is very easy the only thing is that I haven't taken algebra in two years so I had to refresh on the graphs and stuff but I got an A. theres 5 tests and 5 quizzes ("boarding passes"). All of the boardining passes are take home ans the last test is a take home test. The only thing is she confused me a couple of times.

Honestly. One of the greatest math professors out there. Super nice. Super understanding. She is always willing to make time for her students. Give so many extra credit opportunites. Take her. You will not regret it.

We do so many in class exercises that there is no excuse to not getting it! Take this class, explains well and I actually liked doing math hw since I understood what I was doing.

Great teacher! She uses an online program along with her lecture and you use the same thing for homework. So there's never a problem in your homework that you haven't seen in class. Tests and boarding passes are graded extremely fairly. took her for trig and calc and wish I could keep taking her!

I had her for algebra nearly 15 years ago and recently for precal. She cares and makes time for her students. Just don't mistake her kindness for allowing yourself to slack off as she will see through that. Attend the classes, do the homework and take advantage of the extra credit. You will learn and do well. Great professor, bar none.

She is a good teacher. If you show your work on the test as she teaches it you will be able to get some credit for your answer. You must fill in the blanks. She sees her students in hours after class. She does move fast, but she has an excellent way of teaching. There is usually enough time to take notes before the class ends.

If you're looking for an A as a grade this is the teacher to choose. Professor Fry is great because there is no graded homework, but to succeed it is important to practice on your own and be punctual in class

Amazing Professor! Explains well. gives partial credit on the tests as long as you show your work. Tons of extra credit. I would highly recommend. Just do your studying at home on what she goes over in class. Questions are always welcome. Her grading is fair and she cares about her students. Just do your part and study a bit.

I always did the homework which are the same problems we do in class and I found her tests to be the problems from there. She doesn't check homework so your grade is tests but the group work adds up to five points per test . She will not give you credit for work that makes no sense even if you had the right answer.

If you go to class and study the techniques online you will pass the class! Fry gives lots of extra credit opportunity and always asks if you have questions on your homework. The more time you put into studying and practicing the better you will do. The hardest part of class was the final so make sure to study ahead of time

BEST precal professor ever!!! literally speaking, attend class, PAY full attention and do homeword on Math XL every night and you will pass!! She gives out plenty of extra credit. 5 test and a final. She will help you if you need it. trust me! took her for winter and never would of thought I would get a high grade in a precal class. LOVED HER

Professor Fry is one of the best math teacher I've ever had. She makes learning math fun, and I have learned a lot from her class. She will teach you the way to do math with out remembering All those formulas. She also prepared me really well for calculus II. Practicing is the heart of all studying, so do your homework.

The Professor is great and funny. She goes thru the problems that will be in the homework and she explains the trick of how to solve it at home. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and partial credit if your process is mathematically sound. At Calculus level you have to do your homework ... if not you will fail ... so do the homework

Alright, I loved this class. Her test are difficult unless you STUDY and DO HOMEWORK. She gives lots of opportunities for extra credit; so don't be LAZY! You can get points in class for corrections (just keep yourself actively engaged.) She is very helpful, so don't be scared to ask! No notes, just practicing homework. She gets an A+ in my book ;)

Professor Fry is one of the teachers that make math pleasant. I failed my previous Calculus course and was able to not only attain an A, but enjoy my time in her course. I highly recommend you take her, from her teaching style to her extra credit she is an amazing professor!

This course is not easy but she does a wonderful job at presenting the theory in a way where you can understand.She gives extra points and the final is multiple choice.She is very friendly and she does everything in her power to help you understand and pass the course.Keep it up fry!

PROFESSOR FRY IS THE BEST. I passed with a PERFECT score. Trigonometry is super easy to me now and understandable! Obviously the people who are giving her bad ratings never cared to study and failed. Do NOT blame YOUR failure on Professory Fry! She is helpful and gives endless extra credit! Please take her only if you are serious and dedicated!

She's a VERY GOOD teacher, and yes, she goes over MathXL problems on the board, but what's the difference as opposed to her writing down a problem?..She still goes over every step! and she gives LOTS of extra credit,every exam has 10 extra credit points!People just don't study. Fry is a excellent teacher despite what the older ratings say, but DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU WANT A EASY "A". Fry gives a lot of extra credit:5pts by going to office to check mistakes&up to 5pts with her team based review games. So thats a LETTER GRADE higher. My last in class test was open notes. Study for final with boarding pass and corrected test.

Prof. Fry was great at explaining things. Math was never my strongest subject but I think Prof Fry made this class simple. There's only 7 tests, 1 of which is open notes and another which is made up off take home quizzes. Take Prof Fry!

Endless extra credit! IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL.

she is a very nice teacher and very helpful but she teaches extremely fast, she had me lost the entire semester and I take notes pay attention and never miss class. ppl would complain about how fast she teaches, u could be copying a prob and then she will be on the other side of the class doing another. very nice but hard wouldnt take her again !!!

I took Fry for 3 classes. She does NOT teach fast! Examples of everything so there is a lot to cover. You must keep up with your homework and the tests are not multiple choice so you must know what you are doing. If you come to class and do the problems AND PRACTICE at home, you'll be fine. And don't try cheating, she knows what's going on!!

Professor Fry is an extremely helpful and caring teacher. She gives 10 points extra credit for just coming back to make corrections after tests. You determine what grade you want by the effort you put in. I came back to school after 6 years absence and Professor Fry helped me after every class understand. Great teacher, would definitely take again.

Professor Fry is one of a kind. She explains everything in detail and gives you a very strong base in math. She doesn't force you to memorize formulas without knowing the background, instead she derives them and shows how they make sense. I took Miss Fry for intermediate up to calculus. She was always there to help if you did not understand. she is truly one of the best professors I ever had. She explains everything so well. If you are a dedicated student and are there to truly learn then Miss Fry is the right professor for you.

She's very fair when it comes to class work and tests. While no multiple choice may initially seem to be a negative, it ends up helping out in the end due to partial credit. I highly recommend her for tough Math courses.

Although Professor Fry's class isn't the easiest one out there, I liked the fact that she was always there to help me out when I needed her help. Prof. Fry was a great instructor. Not only did she teach independent of the textbook, she taught the concept of each problem as well as how to complete it. Her grading criteria was straightforward & did not include homework. She was also easy to contact when help was needed. I would definitely take her again!

Class was enjoyable, liked her teaching style, if something was not understood she doesn't hesitate to provide more examples to work through as a class.

Professor Fry is my favorite math teacher! I was a dual-enrolled student taking Calc2 w/ her. I got a B my 1st exam, and then a D the 2nd. That was my wake-up call to put more effort into the class and start going to her office hours. If you show you care, she cares all the more! I got over 100 on every test after that (up to 10 pt extra credit) :)

BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER

Mrs. Fry is an amazing professor, had her for College Algebra and Trig and she teaches very well and makes material clear. Be there each class, take notes, do online practice problems and her boarding passes and you should be fine. Again she is a great professor and gives a lot of extra credit so there is no excuse to fail the class.

Homework is not for a grade. But if you don't do it, you probably won't pass. She has about 5-6 tests. You can't skip the final. She responds relatively quickly to emails. No textbook

The subject was not so bad to study, you definitely need alot of free time!

By far the best math professor I've had at Broward College. She teaches her class in the simplest way so you can understand. The test can be a little challenging but if you study, take good notes, and ask questions, you should pass. There is no homework but do yourself a favor a practice the problems from class. I highly recommend this professor.

This teacher expects students to do their part in studying and staying on task. She always asks if everyone is ok and will explain a problem many times if needed. If you want an easy A, go somewhere else. Only take this class if you want to be prepared for future math classes.

This professor is really awesome! I dont understand the bad comments, the tests are fair and similar to homework questions. you will pass as long as you do the boarding passes and homework. She offeres lots of extra credit and she makes herself available if you need one-on-one time in her office hours. Shes not strict and extremely fair.

I love this teacher. She was hard to get at the beginning but as I progress in this course I was able to keep up with her without difficulties. You really have to study for any math class, if you don't do your HW you wont be successful in math courses. Math is about proficiency. My favorite part was the group games. I will be taking her again.

Calculus 2 is obviously not one of the easiest classes, but she made the class completely manageable and she was very helpful. As long as you attend class and do the homework, seek any extra help from her, you will pass!

Trig and calc are hard, and most other professors at Broward don't give extracredit. Prof Fry gives extra credit before test and some extra credit questions on the test, it is life-saver to get good grade. The questions on the test are clear, and are the same us what you will do in class just different numbers. Taking her for 3rd time.

Being the first class taken in college as a dual enrollment student, I couldn't have asked for a better professor! She sincerely cares about students, encourages to learn/come to office for help. Many opportunities to show hard work for mastery and earn extra credit. Clear grading sys: 5-6 exams, boarding passes, final exam. Worth the hard work.

After MAC 2311 taken (Fall, 2015), I signed up for her class again. Tough material & work. Go during office hours, she always helps. HW: do study, ask if you don't understand, and she helps. Ten Qs on exams: show all you know, she gives partial credit. Then, visit, review what's missed, and get credit for your effort. She wants you to learn!

she is an amazing professor. 40% homework and 60% tests. there are about 5 exams and a final. she does, however, take 1/2 points of a question if skip a step or just a simple mistake. those 1/2 points add up and hurt your test grade so BECAREFUL while you're answering her tests. Take her class if you're an organized student. She is brilliant!

Professor Fry is a fantastic math instructor. I took her for MAC1140, I'm currently taking her for MAC1114, and I plan on taking her for MAC2311 and MAC2312. She's funny, and has adorable ways to help one remember certain criteria. The tests aren't scheduled so it's important to attend class. She's really sweet and will provide extra help if needed

This professor really cares about her students and wants them to actually learn. This class is not an easy A but is an easy pass. I suggest you only take her if you want to learn in-depth math and to prepare yourself for higher levels of math. Overall great professor! All exams are written and you must show all your steps for credit. Final is MC.

She was a great teacher, probably the best math teacher I have had in a while. For me the material was pretty simple but, it resulted very challenging for many students. Either way, if your committed she will help you understand the material. Ps. There are 6 test each worth 10 percent and homework is worth 40 percent.

Professor Frye is a great math teacher. No easy A, you have to work for it. She's accessible outside of class, explains content, and answers questions clearly. I would definitely take her again. You have to study and put in your own effort and work though, Trig can be challenging.

Jodie Fry is a good teacher and she teaches well, however her tests are extremely hard. She takes the hardest problems from our homework and puts them on the test. My class just got our first test grades back and from what I saw everyone got a 50 or lower. Therefore, if you are thinking about taking one of her classes get ready to study.

Professor Fry is a very smart lady, she knows what she is teaching and she makes sure that you understand her lectures, she gives 35% for homework and 6 test, the lowest grade she drops, there is not study guide but she uses math lab which has lots of practice, if you want to learn math and are willing to work, take her!

Shes a good teacher but her class stressed me out. I'm generally really good in math but in this class I had a lot of trouble, and was worried about failing I the class. To get an A in this class is nearly impossiable because the amount of effort you have to put into studying for her tests is a lot! With my other classes going on, I was stressed.

If you're good in math take her she's the kind of teacher you've been looking for. However, if you need time you have to put in extra work. You use MathXL and get the 1 year fee. If you want an easy A this is not the class. She's a really good teacher but you have to be a good student. Her tests are exactly the same as what she teaches.

I've taken her for MAC1105 and MAC1114 and signed up for her MAC1140 class. Trig is already hard enough as it is, but Professor Fry makes it as easy as she can. Her lectures provide a great deal of info so skipping class would be a bad idea. i'm hoping I can take her for MAC2311 and MAC2312. She's just that great of a teacher.

Jodie is a really good teacher. Just do the homework.... Test questions are the questions from hw just diff numbers. Its easy to get an A, and there is a test drop. Very nice too.

Prof. Fry is a sweetheart! She's very caring and does go through all the steps you need to solve problems. She does the homework with us in class. Her tests are free response, but they're homework questions. She also gives partial credit for all questions, so even if you get it wrong, it's okay. Her accent is adorable (New York!). Loved her class.

I've taken Professor Fry for both Trig and Pre-Cal and she is WONDERFUL!!! I would highly recommend her to anybody needing any math higher than MAC1105 at Weston Center and/or South Campus. She makes her classes as easy as she can & will go to the ends of the Earth to help if you show her you care. I will certainly be taking her again for Calc 1

The class is straight to the point, if do the homework it's clear what will be on the test. As long as you keep the tests you'll know exactly what will be on the final. she uses the same question from the previous tests for the final.

love this professor! She's awesome and straight to the point. Class basically consists of lecture that goes over the problems that homework will consist of. She is very organized and speaks clearly so there was never any confusion. She uses analogies to help remember certain topics. Students who say otherwise just didn't put the effort to pass.

We lost 10 hours of instruction time for Fall semester & this class needs a lot of attention so be wary of when taking this course. Study a lot! She answers emails & has office hours. Sometimes she went a bit fast, but if you just write down the notes & ask for an explanation after class she'll tell you slowly. Homework has most weight

For math and non-math majors Professor Fry will probably be one of the best professors you will have during your college career. She guides every question step by step and makes sure we do not leave her class until we fully understand the concepts. Calculus 2 is a difficult class within itself but she will make sure you make it through.

Every class is a must. Notes and your homework are your guides. I feel like her pace is great for me, some say she is a little to fast. If you pay attention and take great notes and STUDY, you'll be fine. I am the type of learner that has to watch the problem being solved. She worked through it and gave step by step, for each type of problem.

Great professor overall. She understands that students wont pick up the material right away so she makes sure all questions are addressed well. Thorough instruction, its best to attend every class . Professor Fry has had the most staright forward grading scheme I have encountered. You have homeowrk, and then tests. She does drop the lowest test grade, and gives a chance for extra credit on the final. Math isn't easy for a lot of people, and she allows you to shedule time with her outide of class if needed. Do the homework and you'll be okay.

We know calculus is not easy, but she was pretty good in teaching it, she was clear in the topics and made a lot of real life situations so that we could understand, I would give her 100% as a teacher! Also loootsss of extra credit so take advantage of that!

Professor Fry was very helpful and taught the course well. She always responded through email if I had a question about homework. I felt as if I learned a lot while in her class.

This class requires taking very good notes! Prof Fry does not necessarily stress attendance but if you miss a class, you also miss out on a lot of useful information which will be needed on homework assignments. She is very nice and will answer any questions you have and she will often give funny examples to encourage students memorizing skills.

Fry's MAC2311 and MAC2312 are the first math classes I took in America. She explained every single question of the assignment in class, and it felt easy to understand even though English is not my native language. All you have to do; attend class( or watching video lecture), take notes, do assignment, ask question. Easy A.

I took this class online and it was relatively easy. She teaches straight from the homework assignments and also records each lesson so I could go back and rewatch something if I missed it. She tends to go quickly but will go over it again if you ask a question/stay after class with you to solve something. Do the work and you'll pass.

Ive always hated math, but Professor Fry has hands down been the best math professor I ever had. She goes through the homework problems with you and goes step by step. Extremely clear, answers questions and will go over it if you dont understand. If you dont try, then thats on you. But she is the best math professor ever!!

Jodie is caring, empathetic and very funny. She should tell students about the one legged chickens 😂 I never would've passed the course without her, very grateful.
