Easy as s---, but tons of written work. Course has no apparent structure. It's just a forum for snobby drawn-out debates. Chat = less testable material. Hardly anything studied was tested. Text was basically unused. I can't remember f--- all. Know the top issues, general lingo. Act like you give a s--- from a trendy health **** perspective. Easy.

I agree, there is lots of chat in this class and buying the text was a complete waste of money! Lots of written work which you basically pull from your own opinions and include biopsychosocial anywhere you can. Exams were ok, but a little vague and I tended to not have enough time to complete. She is a really interesting person to listen to.

I agree with not buying the text. This was my second class with her and again, I bought the text and didn't open it once. AVOID this prof's sections if it is in any way possible. Every other section has the same powerpoint presentations and there is an effort to make the sections equivilant; Bains section is scattered with a large section of class time devoted to her preaching about drinking, drug use, sex, etc.. I got a good grade despite, not because of her teaching

She is a really interesting lecturer, love hearing her stories and personal experiences. Tests were strange, mostly "what do you think?" questions. Not much need to study for them. Her teaching style takes a bit to get used to-she tends to be pretty blunt & will often go off on tangents about personal stories/examples which can be a bit distracting to understanding the main points of lectures. NEVER take a course with Jody L. Bain. If you need a course that she is teaching - take it with someone else. Jody is unclear and does not believe in using online tools.
