Lectures never reinforce what is learned. Homework is extremely time consuming, you have 48 hours to complete 4 hours of work. Homework is never gone over in class, making it difficult to see how to correct your mistakes. Tests were extremely length for a 50 minute testing block. Absolutely no curves, even when the highest grade was an 87%.
Assigns homework out of the book essentially every class and grades it for 100% accuracy. Doesn't ever go over homework because she rushes through lectures. Tests are pretty tough. Lectures often rushed and lightly touch material. Avoid.
This is a tough subject, but her lectures are thorough. There wasn't time to go over homework in class, but she is really helpful if you attend office hours. Exam problems came directly from the homework. If you're willing to work hard, take her!
Assigns close to 25 problems for hw but grades around 5. Assigns hw for material due next day after just covering the topic.Gives no curves. Tough graded. Takes points off for grammatical errors in MATH. Flys through lectures, doesnt go over hw. Takes silence as understandment of the material. AVOID.
She is by far the worst professor I have ever had, AVOID her class at ALL cost, is very rude to her students, no curves, I believe the highest grade in the class was a B. The toughest grading I have been through. She is just aweful,
Take this professor if you enjoy failing/struggling immensely in Math. Forget about asking questions during class, she often gave a short inadequate answers. She barely reviewed the material covered in class at a later date, which gave us only the day it was being taught to understand it. Also, HW is graded harshly with no later reconciliation.
She was great for Calc 1 (my class was the first one she taught at VCU). Not, like, mind-blowingly helpful or a distinctly memorable teaching strategy, but she explained everything clearly and provided her lecture notes (handwritten) online. Didn't really feel like there were any tricks on the tests. Also, she was approachable. Not a bad teacher.
I am a bio major but I studied calculus more than bio this semester and I still have a D in this class. She skips a lot of calculation steps during the lectures because she is going to go over all the chapters. It becomes really confusing when she skips steps all the time. shouldnt take her when you want your teachers to show you all the steps.
She teaches really well and tells you what she expects on tests. If you're confused about anything go to her office hours, she's really helpful. Tests were really hard, studied many hours and sometimes did not do as well as I wanted. Get help when you need it and study study study-this is college calc, it's hard!
On tests if you find an answer a different way than she wants you to but get the right answer you receive zero credit... fair warning she's crazy. Flipped and threatened to kick people out of class for texting in the back row. Thinks she's too important. Also... crazy eyes. She's helpful IF she likes you so get on her good side
I had to miss a couple of classes because of family issues, but I realized when I skipped class there was no difference between learning in class and at home because in class she would cram every bit of material she could. Hardest professor I have had, and she takes off points for the easiest mistakes. Quizzes come from homeworks, so do them.
I don't see why people don't like her. The class lectures are thorough and give plenty of examples to use for homework and studying. The math lab used for homework gives immediate feedback and she gives back the tests and quizzes with feedback. Calculus isn't easy, but she prepares you for it well. Plus, she's super nice.
Very willing to help but will take off points for anything and everything. Will take off points on your overall grade for missing class and assigned a group project for a math course. Moves quickly through material. Quick to respond to emails and will give extra clarity. She is really nice but her grading structure is super tough and strict.
She is the worst professor I've ever had in VCU. She NEVER reviews for exams, just avoid her classes completely.
Calculus two is hard no matter what professor you have. However, Cox made it very straight forward and easy to understand. Her lectures were straight to the point. I had to study many hours for tests. She does provide an exam review with practice problems. DO THEM, they will help. If you spend the time, you will get and A.
I just started my semester with this professor and I am already annoyed. Teaching method is stupid. Tries to cram everything in one class. Takes off points for little mistakes which can cost you your overall score on an assignment. The material is easy but I don't understand why my grade is so low for this course. I'll comment again later.
hard grader and takes point off for small things, but good teacher willing to help and good at explaining
She's really strict on grading. Miss one minor detail and she'll take off points. Her lectures are clear and she's helpful in showing you how to do problems if you email or visit her during office hours. Quizzes are short and simple. You should ace the quizzes if you do the homework. Studying for exams extensively is mandatory. Her eyes though.
She was a great professor for MATH 141!!! She was tough on grading but if you show up for class, do the textbook problems plus do the loncapa skills question, you will not have a problem with her. You will have a group project to do for math, however it is due in parts through out the semester with the final product due at the end of the semester.
She is a great teacher and knows what she is talking about. She will take the time to make sure you understand. She is strict about attendance so don't be late and don't miss class or you can drop a whole letter grade.
Took off 8 points for not putting a positive sign, and didn't show my work on a implied domain problem (Square root of 15-3x). Common sense question i lost another 6 points on. ON A TEST -__-
Ms. Cox is a pretty good teacher, and can go a little fast at times, but is always very willing to help. 20% of your grade is based off clicker questions and homework so make sure you go to class! If you don't you will fail, unless you're a math genius. Do the test reviews because they can give you up to 8 points extra credit on the test it's for
She teaches concepts straight forward and very clearly. I understood most if not everything she taught. All you have to do is pay attention in class, go to class!! Be engaged and ask questions if need be. Her grading is deadly though. Toughest grader I've ever encountered in my life. If she wasn't a stickler on grading I probably would've passed with a B+ instead of a C.
I have had Ms. Cox for two classes. Her teaching is very straight forward and easy to follow. At first I hated the amount of homework she gave out, but it definitely led to a more successful semester for me. When able, she is very helpful with students. Grading is tough but the department is strict on that and she does not do all the grading
This is probably the worst teacher you can take. she is very strict with what she wants from you and is a tough grader. very fast passed lectures and has an annoying voice. CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSOR.
Best teacher I've ever had in a math class. I thoroughly enjoyed taking Calc 2 with her. She gives homework and quizzes usually once a week and it really helps solidify what we did in class. Made things very clear and relaxed so you felt like you could ask questions without judgement. I'd take one of her classes again.
Worst teacher I have ever had grades so hard for no good reason if you forget a comma you lose 5 to 10 points should be a drill instructor instead. rushes through lectures and expects you to know everything by next class. would avoid unnecessary stress
Cox is very nice and willing to teach you one on one if you need it. There is a lot of homework but it gives you chances to bring your grade up and gives you better understanding. Tests are hard, you have to study and be detailed in your answers. Shes very positive and uplifting as well as approachable. Im just bad at math, dont go off my grade!
I found her to be a good teacher. She gives good step by step explanations of problems the first time she does them but if you miss something she can be bad at answering a question during her lecture period and its better to ask her in office hours which is wher students get behind. Tough test grader but she is good at teaching.
She is really good at explaining the material and is very willing to go back and answer questions thoroughly until you understand it. Gives study guides and extra supplementals to help further practice and prepare for topics.
honestly, if you skip you wont do as well as you want to, so take it from me and go to class. Jody helps out a lot, go to her office hours if you have any questions. Also, the modeling project is a pain but its worth a chunk of your grade so actually try to do well in it. also she wont round my grade to an A from an 89% , so thats that.
She is an excellent calculus teacher. Explains the topics thoroughly and is easy to understand, and she never makes you feel dumb for asking questions. She is also accessible outside of class and is very approachable.
Mrs. Cox is the greatest math professor I have ever had. I was fortunate enough to have her for math 151 & 200. Throughout both classes she was more than willing to help me and was super accessible through office hours. Shes great at answering questions and never talks down to you or makes you feel dumb, shes also super positive.
I love Jody. She is very sweet and cares about each and every student. Now, she did have worksheets and homework, but I believe that that is how you learn math. Her lectures were really easy to follow but you have to be there and actively listen in order to learn. I did have to put in work to receive my A, but it is what I expected when entering.
Jody was an amazing teacher in a crappy format of a class. VCU is notorious for how AWFUL their precalculus classes are set up. The class is online, but meets in person in a building away from most other classes, and is almost entirely a self taught course. Jody offered breakout sessions during the class meetings, but sometimes that wasn't enough.
Wasnt worth it at all. Shouldve been on time for registration and picked a different professor that got higher views. I went to EVERY single class and at the end still didnt get the grade I wanted? Finished all Aleks assignments and STILL didnt make the cut. Save yourself the time and stress please.
Professor Cox is an excellent teacher. She cares about her students and teaches in a way that makes sense, even for those who aren't that great at math. If you have questions, she takes the time to explain and help you understand. You must be able to show work on the exams, so pay attention in class and do the practice problems to prepare.
I took her for Math 151 but that wasn't an option in the course codes so I just put 141. I really don't care for her teaching style, and she's pretty rude. Discouraged students to ask questions and tests are worth nearly 70% of your grade. I'll likely have to retake this class.
She is not a teacher that you want to have. Her test review prepares you poorly for your exams. Also, she relies on us doing homework to learn the topics rather than teaching us herself. She isn't open t students talking either when we need help in class. Overall she is a bad teacher from the way she carries herself to her teaching ability.
She doesnt teach you and all you do is ALEKS. You arent allowed to ask questions during class she will either ignore them or tell you to stay on track. If your test answers look different than the exact way she teaches, she will accuse you of cheating. ALEKS will become your biggest enemy...
Professor Cox is a horrible teacher, her lectures are extremely boring and hard to follow, and she discourages students from asking questions, you have to teach yourself through ALEKS explanations which is not the best way to learn, and even if you stay on top of the homework and content, you'll still flunk every test. Don't take this class.
Definitely the worst professor I have had so far here. Lectures are not efficient nor effective. She continues to ignore student questions and will tell you to ask it during office hours. She will accuse you of cheating with horrible evidence, if you don't do the problem her way its cheating in her book. Save yourselves and don't take her EVER.
Professor Cox is a nice woman. However her work during online lectures in times of covid aren't too effective. Class and material is sometimes rushed. Plenty of busy work and quizzes every weekend. The extra practice is what helps but her test aren't too easy. Often there are 10 questions and they are super hard and sometimes not relevant.
I failed almost every test I took even after hours per week of studying. I ended up having to drop the class because I wouldnt have passed. This class made me absolutely miserable. Prof Cox is an awful teacher, please save yourself the trouble and dont take her
I had to drop the class. She discourages you asking questions and accused over half of us in the class for cheating because we had done the problem a different way then she had taught it. All you do is ALEKS. worst professor ever
If you take this class you'll have to teach yourself Math from ALEKS. She almost always refuses to answer questions during lectures, leaving you in the dark. Online math is impossible to start, but Prof. Cox somehow made it harder to do.
Lots of ALEKS homework, lectures do not reflect what will be on the four exams you will take throughout the semester. Honestly choose a different professor if possible. Also, apparently accused a handful of students of cheating because they didn't solve it the way she taught. Had to withdraw to save myself from failing.
To state it simply she has a big ego. If you can don't take her class. s. If you don't solve a problem in your own way she will report you for cheating. Like she did for a lot of her students this semester. (If your students are struggling in a course it says something about you. Learn to accept the fact that you can't teach and act upon it)
Don't take her class. Her class is a waste of energy, time and money. She barely teaches you anything for the course but instead assigns a lot of Aleks assignments. Her exams are full of questions that don't reflect the homework assignments. If you teach yourself you will probably be accused of cheating bc you didn't use her methods.
Worst professor ever. Save yourself time and money and do not take this professor. She does not posses any teaching skill. She would not even respond if you ask her for help. All she will do is to report half of the class for cheating becase the problems were resolved in a different way that the one she taught. Lots of ALEKS homework.
Jody Cox comes off as a nice person the first day of class, but I promise you don't be deceived. Her class is literally set up for you to fail. Tests are 48% of your overall grade. They are probably some of the hardests tests I have ever taken not because they are difficult, but because we dont learn what is on them. RIP to your semester. (4.0 GPA)
Tests look nothing like the review material that she gives. If you find a different way to do the problems than what she taught you, she takes off points. Test are 48% of your grade so if you do badly on one its hard to come back.
Definitely the worst class I have ever taken in my life! the material on tests dont reflect what your reviews are, quizzes are only 5% of your final grade, whereas tests are 48%. I am a deans list student and her class has me failing and possible losing grant money. Completely not fair and I hope someone does a reevaluation on her poor teaching.
Jody assigns a lot of homework on ALEKS and you're pretty much expected to learn the material straight from the homework since her lectures are just reteaching what's taught on ALEKS. There's homework due three times a week and a quiz every Monday. Exams are recorded and monitored. Make friends in this class otherwise studying for this class sucks.
I see a lot of bad reviews and I really dont get it. Professor Cox really cares about the class and unlike a lot of math teachers, she explains WHY stuff works/happens which really help. A lot of homework and frequent quizzes. Her grading scale makes it so even if you bomb a test, you can still do well in the class. Makes you work for your grade.
Tons of homework assigned that felt completely different than what we learned in class. Her 'notes' consisted of one or two sentences of what was actually going on and 80 examples of doing the same problem over and over just with varying numbers or variables. Will accuse you of cheating if you choose a different method to solve a problem.
This class was terrible, I'm not even a stem major but I had to take this class and it ruined my 4.0. As for her, I would say avoid, she really doesn't care about her students. If you email her about anything important good luck getting her to respond in any way that matters. She'll say something like "sorry to hear that" and leave it at that.
Had internet problems during an exam and she did not care whatsoever. Do not expect your true inconveniences to be taken care of despite her saying that she wants to work through your problems. Homeworks are completely different from the tests.
The worst professor I have ever had. Class average on every test and quiz was 60% or below. She doesnt drop lowest exam score either, DO NOT take her class
Professor Cox gives too much group work instead of teaching an actual lesson. She expects us to learn things on our own in teams, which does not accomplish anything if no one has a clue about what theyre doing. It would be more beneficial if she taught the lesson first and then used the group work as extra practice. Too much work
Jody is the worst professor ive ever dealt with. she does not care about you. the tests are nothing like the homework and infinitely harder. avoid at all costs.
PLEASE AVOID. You pay $100 to teach yourself on Aleks each week which is nothing like what is in class. She hands you blank worksheets each class and expects you to learn by "working through it" when she NEVER taught material once. Not even a tutor would help you in the class and the TA's don't know how to explain the material either. Fire her VCU!
Literally a waste of your time. she doesnt help you with anything and doesnt care about her students well being, my arm was swollen and she wouldnt let me take the quiz after I missed it because I got Into an accident the day before. She literally lectures like you are 5 and does things for no reason
I do not recommend taking MATH 141 or any math course with her. If you need the class for credit and she is the only option, I recommend that you just wait and take it the next semester with another professor.
Mrs. Coz was pretty understanding when I got sick for two weeks, but she does not allow late work under any circumstance and she is extremely particular about how the problems are done, so if you have a different way of solving Calculus problems just forget them all because you won't do well unless you use all her methods and show every step.
She has adopted a revolutionary teaching style where the teacher does not have to teach the students! You may wonder, "aren't teachers supposed to teach their students?" Not her. All your learning takes place outside of class on your own with a system called ALEKS. In class, all you do is work in a group of people who have don't understand. Not fun
Jody Cox is incapable of teaching a college level math. Her course is set up to be the same as a high school math class. In addition, be prepared to do all of your studying outside of class on Aleks. Class time is spent in groups of 4 simply guessing the answers to your notes because she does not explain how to solve problems beforehand. DONOTTAKE!
You pay thousands a semester to be taught by a program called Aleks. We walk into class and are handed a blank worksheet with material we haven't even learned yet...Professor Cox and TAs do walk around the classroom and wander questions, but will never fully help you solve a question but will rather say "read over it and try again."
I just did not have a good experience in this class. I once got a 78 on a test, which of course isn't great by itself except for the fact that the highest score was an 84 and the lowest a 0 which put the median somewhere in the forties. The grades were not curved. Dr. Cox is a nice woman, but she should apply more of her students' suggestions
If there is another professor available, anyone is better. This professor was condescending and not helpful at all and did not care about students who actually needed help. The professor would come early and stay after on test days which was maybe the only plus, I could give. otherwise after taking this class i literally took the semester off.
I have never been more agitated with someone's teaching style. Absolutely the worst math teacher I have ever had. Even putting in the effort lands you a grade. You don't learn anything in class, as it is all worksheets she gives the group of four and you are basically told to do stuff you didn't learn! Thought the reviews were exaggerating, nope.
She is one of the worst math teachers you could possibly have. If you thought teachers were supposed to actually teach well you'll be astonished by her style. She does a terrible job explaining stuff and then doesn't even explain the correct examples. Don't forget the part where she completely forgets to teach entire concepts. The class avg was a D
Decent teacher especially for the level of difficulty of this class. Tests are extremely difficult and take of most of your grade. You will have a lot of ALEKS homework every week as well as a quiz. But I do understand the material.
DO NOT TAKE. Genuinely the hardest and worst class I've ever taken. Her lectures are scattered and hard to follow and every assignment is done on ALEKS which doesn't line up with what she teaches during class. Yet tests/quizzes are done on the lecture material. I saw the bad ratings and thought they were exaggerating. They weren't even a little bit
I see a lot of bad reviews about Professor Cox but she genuinely understands the material she's teaching. Yes, the tests are hard and there are a lot of quizzes, but that's college. She is always willing to help and she teaches in a way where you can think critically about the material instead of just memorizing things. I would 100% recommend her.
Honestly, nothing against Professor Cox, but I just did not like her. I didn't like how lecture notes were not posted on Canvas, I did not like how rough of a grader she is, I did not like how we don't have a lot of practice before tests/quizzes, and I just don't like math. She isn't the worst professor, but I would look for someone better.
Her lectures are very fast (expected to be because it is a 4 credit course), but lots of students would benefit if she took more time to actually explain the examples. She sometimes made smart comments like do you all need to go down to a lower math (jokingly)... CALCULUS IS HARD! Although, she does take pride in what she teaches.
I was taking her class for calculus and it was not fun. I had to withdraw from it unfortunately. The way she teaches is awful. She basically gives you a worksheet each class and goes over the answers after a few minutes. When she lectures, she really doesn't explain everything. She also has quizzes around every two weeks and min of 3 hw every week
Does not know how to teach. All class she just gives worksheets and goes over them after a few min. She only lectures a little bit in the middle of class. She just doesn't explain anything well. I had to withdraw from her class.
Professor didn't fully teach the material. Many people struggled in that class. Participation through TopHat, she never told us there were TopHats up and a decent portion of your grade is through that program. A lot of group work in the workbook.
I had the absolute worst experience with professor Cox and her MATH 151 class. She does not teach for more than the first 10 mins of class. You are expected to know the material before you take the course because how else are you supposed to complete the blank worksheets she hands out with no explanation or lecture? DO NOT TAKE HER COURSE.
If you have other options for a Math 151 professor, take them. Can be condescending at times. Teaches the material vaguely, barely have time to review. Spent maybe 10 mins reviewing for tests the class before it. Tests weigh heavily and will tank your grade. I've always been good at my math but I don't think there's anyway I pass this class.
take math 151 with literally anyone else. She makes it impossible for you to do well.
I would personally not take Professor Cox if you have other options, I think its supposed to be more of a flipped classroom in that we do a lot of in class work with groups, but it felt like we did more of that than her teaching. Also, I didn't really appreciate the level of respect in the class, we are groups of adults, treat us like it.
I am writing a completely honest review for you that is thinking about registering to her class. She really doesn't teach well. She just goes over a workbook and if I'm being honest I never used it to study it at all so just a waste in my opinion. I mostly used Aleks and its review for the quizzes and tests. Every 2 weeks a quiz. 3 tests + Final.
Bro literally do not take calculus with her. She only explains the most basic problems in lectures but then on the homework and tests there are a bunch of hard questions we barely learned how to do. She grades so hard and the tests are difficult. She also never curves even if the class did terrible.
Genuinely take Math 151 with anyone else. Hands down the worst professor I've ever had in every way possible. Good luck if you get put in her section.
she was literally the worst professor or teacher ive ever had. i took her my first semester of my freshman year and she treated the class like a middle school class. she was not helpful and is very snarky. would literally never take her class again.
Jody Cox is the worst teacher anybody could be unlucky enough to get with. SHE LITERALLY GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE YOU FAIL. Her textbook is a 70 dollar scam, and she teaches nothing for the tests. She throws you to the wolves after shooting you in both knee caps. Then expects you to rise up like jesus christ. IF YOU CAN AVOID IT, DONT TAKE HER.
No, never again. Awful.
I would rather drop out than take another class with this women.
The reason I have an A is because I already knew the content. She can be condescending and she kinda scares me. She grades attendance during class and she looks at you when she does. She goes through a few pages of the workbook (do not buy it, she will upload a PDF) then tells you to do a few problems. If I didn't know it I would be so confused.
Very little assignments so be prepared to study a lot for tests. She explains concepts well and is very nice but do not get behind in the class.
I'm usually a A plus student and I'm usually a quick learner but jody cox was truly my worst math teacher ever, when I went to office hours she made me feel so dumb and slow. She takes points off for small stuff on test but she does give half credit. If you want to pass this class go the extra mile and go to tutoring.
I enjoy how immersive each class is, compared to the drawn out lectures that I'm used to. You have to be paying attention in order to answer the TopHats but it will be easier to grasp than if you were just watching her do it. Workbook is well-structured. Only complaint is that she keeps our phones. weird and inappropriate for a classroom of adults.
I found Professor Cox/her TAs to grade pretty easily and were helpful with any questions we had. However during her classes she treated the students strangely, vacillating between acting like she was addressing a middle school class and being very stern. Missing/incorrectly answering TopHat questions seemed to affect our grade disproportionately.
A large part of your grade is based on TopHat participation in class. There is a quiz every week unless there is a test. She has little to no empathy for students. Her expectations are ridiculously high, especially considering this is a 100-level class. She forces you to lock your phone in a box during class as if we are children. Do not recommend.
I love the way Professor Cox teached it actual made me want to learn. Usual I get bored in a math class but no she makes the class very engaging and I learned more and understood every topic we went over.
WORST TEACHER EVER!!!!!! the TAs are more helpful and supportive than she is.
Might be the worst professor you will have in college. If you have the opportunity to not take her or switch out I highly recommend it she doesn't engage with her students in anyway she always thinks you have an attitude with her and she barely has office hours. I would have probably gotten an F if it wasn't for the TAs and SI
Trust me, just take pre calc with any other professor.
She's a teacher who always proves the material mathematically, rather than just handing out formulas or shortcuts. Don't take her class if you skip lessons, there are daily quizzes (relatively easy, covering recent topics). But if you truly want to learn math, she's ideal, with a complete guide and great attention to detail.
She dosent teach, only uses the work book. You have class almost every day, and you can't miss much or you loose points on your grade… top hat is weighted heavy. She isn't even at one of the class sessions. Thank you TAs.
Prepare to be challenged in Professor Cox's class. While strict on attendance and phone use, her immersive teaching style and structured workbook make for an engaging learning experience. Utilize unstuck AI and other study tools to stay on top of the material.
One of the worst MTH professors at VCU. Too much homework and barely enough time to get it done, and the SI leaders barely know how to interact with students and know just as little as she does. This situation underscores the urgent need for a comprehensive faculty evaluation. If anyone should be laid off first in the department, it should be her.
she will take points off if you do not do the work the way she taught you or if you do not show all your work, even if the answer is right. half of the time, she has an attitude and does not properly teach, she just reads. you'll be fine if you already know the content. but if you can, choose another professor and save yourself the trouble.
literally everything is group work, she teaches for 5 seconds and then gives the entire class a random page to work on and then grades it through tophat every single time you go to class, the GA's and TA's don't even know what's going on half the time, and the weekly quizzes will lower your grade profusely. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH JODY COX! thx
oh my goodness gracious guys DO NOT TAKE HER. we have to put our phones in suitcases which marks our attendance, which is strange for a classroom full of adults. she's extremely passive aggressive and MARK MY WORDS: THEY WILL TAKE ANY POINT POSSIBLE OFF ON YOUR QUIZZES. guys please im begging.. also the phone thing is crazy but yeah xx good luck
I was nervous to take her because of the bad ratings, but she's been good this semester. Precalc can be hard but I like that she starts out very simple and builds up when teaching something instead of assuming everyone already knows stuff. HW was very helpful and the phone policy is all precalc profs. She always offers to help.
Run. Taking this class was hell. The teacher is nice, but she doesn't explain things well. You're most likely going to have to teach yourself all the material. Quizzes have 2 questions worth 10 points each. One question wrong and you're cooked. Just do yourself a favor and change teachers if you can. If you can't, then good luck soldier. :(
Additude issue to be frank. The way the class is taught is setting you up for failure. She teaches for a few minutes then has your group (who also doesn't know the material) teach you and you teach them? This class is HARD. Prepare to suffer but Jody doesn't make it better. Take ANYONE else, and choose peace because you won't get it with her.
she does not care about whether you have a viable reason for not being in class if you miss ANYTHINGG even for like 10 minutes of the class she wont help you like she says she will. she moves at the speed of light in her class and will not slow down.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! She barely teaches; it is more of group work than her teaching. The quizzes are only 2 questions, 10 points each, so if you get one question wrong, you're gonna fail. The TA teaches on quiz days, and she isn't even there to give the quiz; it's only the TA. No retakes on quizzes or tests. The whole phone thing is just crazy.
I would not recommend this professor. Weekly quizzes back to back, hard to catch your breath on each topic. Teaches very fast paced and even skips over pages and they will somehow appear on the weekly quiz. She TAKES your phones and secures them in a box every day for attendance, and attending is mandatory. The test are 48% of your grade (4 test).
She is an amazing professor. The class was kind of hard but she was so good on explaining everything, always open to help or explain again if you need it.
The math teachers grade all tests together and they're honestly all hard graders, a single mistake will get you multiple points off a test. The tests are kind of difficult. She seems like a nice person but not very understand. She didn't allow me to take a test at a different time, when I had the flu and a DRs note saying I couldn't come to class.
She's an awesome professor. She explains everything in a way that's easy to understand and will help you work through problems if you're struggling. Tests will be hard if you don't practice and study for them on your own.
