Great teacher! She explains everything thoroughly, and always makes sure she writes everything on the board that we will be tested on. If we don't understand a theory or principle she tries to put it in simpler terms.
great teacher. very willing to spend one on one time with you at office hours. wants to make things clear and will work through it with you. gets a little excited about some theories but hey, she's a philosopher.
She's a nice teacher, but she is very ambigious in her notes and she grades her papers entirely too hard. If i was you i would jump off a cliff with sharp rocks at the bottom because i would not want to live throught this class!
Seems to have visited Woodstock in the 70's...seeing some side effects. Very nice teacher, incredibly hard grader. On first paper, out of 26 people, 11 F's, 8 D's, 4 B's, and 3 A's...just to give you an idea. Don't recommend for lower-level philosophy.
She is very deep and thinks on a different level than most normal people. She is very nice and is very willing to work with you one on one but good luck understanding her! She grades very hard and her tests, papers and quizzes are very difficult.
she is very nice and always willing to help, but the course is somewhat difficult
She doesn't help you at all understanding things... you'll say "help me," and she'll say something totally different than the question you asked her.
DONT TAKE HER CLASS! (Unless you are going to be a Philosophy major) Her test are extremely hard, and you have a quiz every week. You have a few papers to write, and most of the time you'll get them back with no higher than a c even on your best work.

In class she is very confusing and hard, but if you go to her office and talk to her, she is very willing to help you and will work with you as much as she can (she even suggested scheduling weekly meetings for me). Tough assignments though.
Very helpful. If you work hard, should have an A. Graded on a scale this past summer.
She is EXTREMELY difficult! I have been a straight A student all of my life until her class and i barely made a B! Very few people think the way she does! If you get her run far far away, you will be miserable!
She is very deep. She is nice and very willing to help you. She will challenge you train of thought. Be ready to work. Remember than a “D” stands for Diploma.
Great teacher. Clear, Consice, and very helpful. Worked hard and made an A. One of the few teacher's that makes you think about your work, and grades on your thought, not your ability to regurgitate. Auburn needs more teacher's like her.
Very good teacher. It helps to participate in the discussions, and read ahead of time. The information may be difficult to grasp, but she will do anything to help you understand better. Don't take if you're looking for an easy A though.
Very nice teacher and willing to help...but it doesnt! questions are never answered in a concise way. very difficult class. good luck making an A. only one person passed her final in the fall but she did curve the grades. good luck
Not a very good teacher. She doesn't explain anything well, and is prone to get mad for no reason. Extraordinarily repetitive, but nothing makes sense. I got an A in the class, but I was one of the very few.
IMPOSSIBLE! Had to drop due to failing. Doesn't matter what you do if she doesn't like you or your views you will fail. RUN AND HIDE!

She grades tough, and there's only two tests and three papers. I went to her before the second paper and she talked to me for two hours about what to write. But she only offers the help you ask for, only take her class if you are willing to work hard.
Such a hard class. I was one of the top 2 students in the class and I made a B. She may have given 1 A for the entire class. I even went to her for help. I would recommend getting another teacher.
She's very hard to follow in class and She doesn't grade easy...I recommend finding a different teacher. Not too many good grades come walking outta there.
Don't, I repeat, don't take her. Her class is stupid, she doesn't lecture at all (dumb discussions that don't help, that's all), and she only gives 2 tests a semester. She expects you to know everything before you get there. She's a loser. Don't take her. GET OUT NOW!!!
She sucks and can't teach. She is REALLY unorganized and her notes are everywhere on the board. Don't get her!
I studied about three hours a day, visited her about once a week, and at last got an A. I only know one other person who got an A in this class. The class really develops your critical thinking skills. She's a nice lady; expect some hard work. Great for pre-law majors.
This is the worst teacher Ive had at Auburn. She rambles way too much, and by the end of the class you leave more confused then you already were about Ethics. She gives 2 tests that are essay and multiple choice and VERY hard. I had to drop her so my GPA wouldnt do a landslide. Dont take her.
This lady is not a teacher. she just lets people talk about whatever they want and some of the stuuf is stuff you never want to hear about. All the queers come out of the closet in this class. and she talks about her personal sex life which will gross you out cause she is so fugly.
She's extremely hard, but helpful. She was boring in the beginning of the semester, but got more interesting towards the end. Her grading is hard. I recommend not taking her with other hard classes.
VERY boring class. Not a good teacher. Her notes are very unclear and cluttered!! She is not well organized. Says she will help you and boost your grade at the end of the semester, but doesn't really. I would recommend not taking her unless you LOVE ethics and LOVE to study and read!
This was the worst class that i have ever taken. All the class consisted of was discussions and extremely hard tests. The discussions were random, and about anything but the topics. When test time comes you want have a clue about any of it. She took off for spelling which killed my grade because i couldnt spell some of them names.
This teacher was the worst teacher I have ever had! I even went in for help with her and she still did not help me out any. Her grading is extremely hard and her questions are confusing! She expected students in her intro class to be philosophers when we were all health majors, NOT PHILOSOPHY! Take another teacher this one is terrible!
This was SUPPOSED to be an introduction class. YA RIGHT! She said she teaches every class as an honors class. I did not sign up for an honors class because I did not want to take one. She expects everyone to view ethics just like she does, but her class is so confusing this is IMPOSSIBLE. Frequently off topic. BORING, one of my worst classes ever.
Very hard class. A lot of material. She is a good teacher, but it is very hard to word essays. She is very picky. If you need phil core, take another class.
Very hard teacher. Don't take unless you absolutely have to!
I thought I'd had bad teachers before.... but this class was definitely the worst. If you are signed up to take her, please reconsider. The class is just random discussions on tangents that have nothing to do with the material that you're supposed to be learning. Then tests are on what should have been covered but wasn't. DON'T TAKE THIS WOMAN!
difficult class. you'll read what advanced reads and try to break it down. doesn't go so well. tests are hard. mult. choice/short answer. i thought i knew what was going on in class but once i got the test i had no clue. i just think she forgot we were an INTRO class and not advanced. she will help you if you ask her to.
Going into this class, I was not excited. Jody is VERY helpful and is willing to clarify anything we do not understand. People complain about the class, but they aren't trying to be intersted. I'm not majoring or minoring in Phil, but I'm glad this course was a core requirement. It's actually one of my grades since I've been in college!!
know the handouts...i mean KNOW the handouts and if you dont have stage fright participate in class..shell love ya
Jody is very helpful and always willing to take time to help her students. This was a tough class because of the difficulty of the material. She gave lots of grades, which is great. The final was really tough, all essay questions. She gave like 3 papers and a few quizzes. Overall, she is pretty good teacher, just a tough class period
if you get in her class...RUN. this the worst class ive ever taken at auburn. she rambles on and on about absolutely nothing and your notes won't make sense. i dont think anyone got over a D or F on the midterm. The final is even worse. She must have curved at the end though because I failed the midterm and ended up with a B. Take Tupa or Hewitt!!
what do you expect when you come to a university? The teachers to make it really easy for you? Expect to have to study and ask questions. Don't just show up when you feel like it and if you do show up pay attention! I think she is a great teacher and she encourages you to really think about why things happen the way they do. I enjoyed her class.
I am taking her right now (fall 2008), she is in no way mean or out to get you, talk/ask questions in class and she'll keep an eye out for you. Yes she is slightly random and your notes will probably never make sense or help you in studying, but it is an interesting class, even though I find almost the entire field of philosophy pointless.
this is the worst class ever. She is a very nice woman and means well but her way of teaching and the discussions she brings up are either all useless or confusing and completely off topic. i was very disappointed when i took her because i thought ethics could actually be interesting and its completely not with her. dont take her!!!!
incredibly hard grader and who knows if participating in class really helps. there are quizes (about 8), 2 test (the final can replace the midterm), and 3 papers but you can drop one because she fails more than half the class on the first paper. so far i have a B for one paper C- for another a B on midterm and C avg on quizes. Hoping for a curve
Do not take "Intro to Ethics" with her. I thought this class would be my favorite, but throughout the year I've come to find this was not what I signed up for and that I am barely getting by. Nice lady, bad class.
RUN! I thought it would be interesting, but it was the longest 50 minutes of my life. Her grading system is arbitrary. She rambles and it is usually not applicable to the reading; the focus is not on healthcare, but general philosophy. Classes are disorganized and notes lack clarity. This class was my lowest grade.
Please reconsider taking this class. I didn't think it would be that bad. But this professor only gives a mid-term, a final, a few little quizzes, and 3 papers. I loved philosophy before, and I struggled to keep a B in this course. Incredibly unorganized class. She talks in circles, and never gives concrete examples to help you understand.
Avoid if possible. She is a very hard teacher and her notes are horrible. She barely uses the textbook but she expects you to know it like the back of your hand. She barely gives tests and when she does they are short answer and t/f. She is very helpful when working with you but other than that, she is impossible for an intro class.
WARNING. worst class ever. she admitted to being a tough teacher but it was nothing like i expected. nothing ever made sense and when you think you understand, it's not good enough. it definitely wasn't worth it. the only person to do well in the class was her pet. and don't ever oppose her. get out now!!!
Tough class. She gives about 2-5 A's and 6-11 B's in a class of 30 or more, and it's a bunch of pre-med students in there. Gives a midterm, a few quizzes, a paper, and a final. Incredibly hard grader but will help if you go to her office hours. Take another professor if you can!
Jody is hard but if you work hard and come to class you will be fine. She makes a big deal out of the readings but you can really just skim them and she will tell you exactly what she will quiz you on. She likes when people talk in class. IF you work hard it might pay off but she only gives a few A's to the class
She is a really hard professor, since she only gives a midterm, paper, final and a few short quizzes. She is extremely unorganized, but if you try hard in the class you will do well. If you can take another class do so, but if you have to take this one it's not impossible.
Dr. Graham is difficult. She is unclear sometimes. I am a philosophy major and I made a B in the class. This class is just like any other class though, go to class, study hard and you will succeed. Go to her for help and it will help you. War Eagle!!
All of these comments on here at true. I will say that she is a VERY kind person, but the most scatterbrained woman alive. There are only 2 tests and 2 papers, which make up your entire grade. She asks too much of her students compared to what she teaches. Her lectures are NOT about health care, so don't expect this class to fulfill that expectatio
Dr. Graham is a VERY difficult teacher. I didn't get my first paper grade back until the LAST day of class. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! trust me.. She expects you to be perfect as if you have been studying philosophy for 5 years. RUN AWAY NOW!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. she is very unorganized and unhelpful. she grades as if we are all philosophy majors. i did not get a single grade back EVER. trust me when i say RUN NOW.
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. She is ridiculous in lectures, making absolutely no sense and running from one side of the board to another. Only have a mid term, final, 2 papers and a few quizzes. The assignments that on BB, she forgets to post til 10 minutes before they are due. DO NOT TAKE.
Bless her heart. Discombobulated... I had my syllabus revised 3 times and the 3rd didn't even correlate with what we were discussing. No joke, at one point I had 3 different sources telling me 3 different things (handout she gave us, black board, and syllabus). goooood luck!
She curved our final and dropped our midterm. Best advice: participate in class discussions and actually go see her outside of class in her office hours (especially to discuss the paper). Very intense for an intro class, but philosophy is intense.
Dr. Graham is very nice but she will make you want to pull your hair out! The class is hard enough, because it never seems like there is a right answer to anything! It's very unorganized and you rarely know what's going on in there! Make sure you meet with her outside of class to do good! be prepared for a B even if you work your tail off!
Where do I begin?? This class was... AWFUL!! Total confusion and a total bore. Graham is without a doubt a nice lady BUT her style of teaching is RIDICULOUS!! The syllabus changed 3 times, the tests were crazy and the class was unstructured. If you desire to take Graham for this class... GOOD LUCK!!!
She really is not that bad. Slow down when you take her tests, and thoroughly read each answer. You need to study, and you need to work. And if you work hard enough, she will give you a good grade.
she wasn't a cake class but i also took her in the summer mini-mester. You have to read the stuff from the book and take note of the articles you read the thesis and main points of the arguments and double check your notes with her. If you do that you'll be fine oh and i got a B in the class
Hard class and you have to be willing to work hard to get a good grade. The only bad thing is that there are only two tests.
Very frustrating class, and she is not easy to understand. Do not take her class, unless you want to suffer all semester.
This class is awful. II don't mind the fact that there is a lot of reading and that assignments and tests are thorough and difficult, the problem I have with this class is that Jody does not teach well. She is very smart and knows what she's talking about, but she cannot convey it to her students in a clear manner. Take something else.
Very, very hard class. I came close to dropping but at the last second decided not to...bad choice. Although she is very kind and does want to help her students, it dosnt make a difference. Her test are impossible .I made straight A's in all my other classes and a D in her class. that should give you an idea of how hard she is.......
I took all science classes and they were EASY in comparison to this class. Jody is nice and she wants you to learn but she is very unorganized, her handouts are confusing, she grades REALLY hard and there are very few graded assignments. She is a nice person but her teaching methods are sporatic
I hate ethics in general and the class that applies it to something is nice. But, she is a hard teacher. I went to every class, read every assignment and still struggled. Doesn't always show up to her office hours, even if you scheduled a quiz with her. Nice woman but very picky in grading and difficult
Her class is difficult and you have to actually read to KEEP UP. It is clear she is passionate about what she teaches but she cannot clearly explain it. I found that she was barely available to meet outside of class. That being said- go to class, read the assigned text, and pay attention.
Ethics is already a difficult class (for me at least) and she didn't make it any easier. You can tell she loves what she does but cannot clearly explain anything. Her notes/handouts are very hard to follow. She was very sporadic and unorganized. Very nice lady; just not great at presenting clear information. Retaking the class with different prof.
I would go to class understanding the article pretty well, and after listening to her I would have no idea what was going on. She had a way of completely misconstruing the main points and arguments. Also don't count on getting any grades back until the end.
EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. She knows what she is talking about, but man she goes wayyyy into depth for an intro class. Tests/Quizzes/HW are very hard. Even if you know the material inside out, she takes off big points for not saying like wants it. Very opinionated with her own views(ethics and politically)
This class was absolutely wretched. It was offered in a mini-mester and I did 3 hours of work a day, not including studying. She is not clear on the material and her tests are nearly impossible. I made out with a B, barely. At the midpoint, the class average was a 66. I do not recommend her class to anyone.
Horrible! Do not take her. She is confusing and grades pretty hard. Since attendance isn't mandatory you have no motivation to show up. She gets off topic and side tracked way too easily.
THE WORST. Run while you can. Most confusing and difficult professor I've ever had, and you never know what your grade is. She lives and breathes Philosophy.
Dr. Graham clearly knows what she's talking about but I found it hard for her to communicate the material effectively. Make sure you study for the quizzes because they add up in the end. I think she graded the second essay and the final easier than she graded everything prior to those assignments. Her online notes helped clarify her lectures.
She is definitely a hard teacher and gives roughly one A in each of her classes. I did all the reading, participated in class, and worked really hard on my papers and I ended up with an A so it can be done but it was definitely a challenge
Graham is extremely scatterbrained & unclear about grading & assignment requirements. She is a very nice lady & helpful when you ask, but in lecture & in instructions on assignments, she talks in circles and wanders off on many extraneous topics that don't always answer the first question, partly due to subject matter, though. Work hard & Read.
She always expects more from you than should be expected. I felt as if she was teaching the class like I was about to get my Ph.D. in the subject. She is very scattered and never organized. Nothing is straight forward and she LOVES to give you trick questions. You will leave her office hours more confused than when you left the classroom. RUN!
I got As and Bs on all assignments and got a C on one paper and ended with a C in the class. Her tests are a lot of fill in the blank and if you cant read her mind, it'll be hard to get the answers right. Grading was a lot harder than it needed to be. If you have to take this class prepare yourself for thinking you know something then being wrong
Lectures had no clear direction to them. Had to teach myself through the thousands of readings. Only 1 test besides the final. 70% of grade was literally the last week of class (40% paper and 30% final).
Go to class and take notes. I really enjoyed her class. She only gives one test but gives a lot of quizzes that are pretty straightforward and easy to make a good grade if you go to class. She also gives one essay that worth a lot of your grade but she gives plenty of opportunities for you to get help if you need it.
Lots of in-depth readings. Homework submissions on readings twice a week, which don't hold any weight in final grade. However, if you didn't do them, she would penalize you. Doesn't give extra credit opportunities and can be picky about wordsphrasing on tests and quizzes. Lectures do not have a clear direction and often go in circles.
You'll be hard pressed to find a smarter, more compassionate teacher than Jody. She breathes life into ethical studies, which I find amazing.
Great lady but not such a great teacher, lectures often go in circles and she grades very hard. There are minimal opportunities to bring your grade up.
I took Intro to Ethics during my first semester as a freshman at Auburn. Dr. Graham has online reading quizzes almost every night before class, but that is more helpful than harmful. Her lectures clarify the readings. If you do the readings, quizzes, tests, and the one essay are easy. I had a 104 going into the final, so it is more than doable.
Way too difficult for an entry level philosophy class. If you don't answer questions with the exact wording she's looking for then she will count off. Definitely would avoid her at all costs. Put in more effort than any other class and still didn't get an A.
Jody is quite the passionate scatter brain. She means well but just doesn't get to the point half the time and if she does you are probably confused still. She has such a heavy course work. LOTS OF READING. Also, when we did get to discuss, she spent half the class talking and give us like 5 min, which got annoying. The class is doable though.
Great teacher who really cares about what she is teaching! I would definitely recommend for people who really want to learn the subject in a conversational manner. You really need to take notes and pay attention to what paragraphs she calls out in the readings. I've also found that most of the stuff written on the board are test questions.
She is very hard but so great! She loves the material and she really tries to help you understand it. Extremely helpful and does want you to succeed, but you have to really work. Theres only one test, two papers, and the final, so youre not graded on a ton but she gives small reading quizzes and extra credit for attendance thatll help a lot!
I love her! She is very hard, but if you put in the work you can do it. She is more than helpful and wants you to succeed. Just participate, get help, do the work, and youll be fine!
GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! Cannot stress this enough. after each quiz, go to her and have her go over it with you because all midterm and final questions come directly from quizzes. Also, just spending time talking to her will give you clarity on how she wants things answered. She wants you to succeed and she will help until you do.
Possibly the most scatter brained teacher I have ever had in my life. Class is mandatory to graduate but you'd rather have less hours than attempt this class with this awful teacher. Quizzes every week which are mostly written and absolutely awful. Dropped this class and my week is 20x better without having to come to this class twice a week.
Possibly the worst professor I've had at Auburn. Her lectures can be very unclear and scatter-brained. Grading criteria is unclear on quizzes which have 5 questions yet are worth 35% (more than your final exam) of your final grade. I would wait to take this class until you can take it with another professor. Class with her is very unhelpful.
Attendance isn't mandatory but if you go to class and take notes on what she says, this class isn't hard. Dr. Graham is very skilled in what she teaches and wants you to succeed. She helps a lot with understanding what you did wrong on quizzes and papers and helps you understand how to do better. She's caring & one of the best professors I've had.
Try to avoid this class if possible. She is passionate and animated in lecture, but is so hard to follow that almost nobody in class knew what was going on. Quizzes are open-ended questions, and she wants exact wording, which is very difficult when her lectures are random. Great heart, but very scattered. Very frustrating, time consuming class
Very sweet lady with good intentions, but not good at teaching the material. lectures are confusion and never really relate to the quizzes. You never really know what she is asking you to do, but her grading is very specific.
She's an extremely nice lady and very educated, however she is extremely difficult to follow. She just never gives a straight answer! Her grading is unclear and she offers few instructions for assignments. The fact that Covid-19 has turned her classes into online makes it 10x more difficult as she has difficulty managing the Canvas website.
You can tell she tries, but she is so hard to follow. She is like a little kid teaching, jumping from here to there to everywhere. Participation is big with her, and if you do, she's likely to go easier on you. Not a tough course, just very easy to get confused
I would not recommend her, yeah she is sweet and all, but she jumps too much around and it really puts you off because her lectures and notes is nothing related to her quizzes and tests so you have to teach yourself, she's a tough grader, so good luck if you can handle her unless ur a philosophy major because ur really gonna need it !
Graham is very passionate and engaging in class; You will immediately get the impression that she genuinely cares about teaching and helping her students understand the subject matter. If you participate in class and take notes, you should not find exams or quizzes difficult. lectures aren't always straight forward, but it is ethics after all.
Very scatter-brained and never gets to the point yet somehow goes over class time everyday. attandance in mandatory and the quizzes are extremely difficult. She does give good feedback on essays though
I have no clue what I learned in this class. I quite literally don't know what to tell you. I was so lost... good luck man.
I honestly have no idea what is happening in this class 24/7. I can't keep up because she is so all over the place. An essay is 25% of the grade and, she isn't clear on what she expects. Attendance is mandatory and it is the biggest waste of time. She just forces you to entertain her rambling. She also expects you to read 40-page articles weekly.
This class requires a lot of reading and weekly quizzes which she grades very hard. She lectures the whole class and never ends on time. Not a clear grading criteria; if I didn't go to office hours & her review sessions I definitely would've ended with a B because she is very specific on wording and very picky.
Im writing this sitting in her class. We are all so lost and have no idea what we are doing. I cant do it. Send help for my sanity and gpa
She's like a child trying to explain something. She's incredibly scatterbrained and all over the place, and requires printed 15-30 page assignments. Expecting everyone to have the time and money to print that. Everyone is confused by her rambling and she gives no help for exams, essays, or quizzes. Just grades off if she likes the answer.
Confusing lectures that never really have a point. Quizzes are hard to study for, and the whole class has me confused. Grading criteria is blurry, as well as participation. Rules for assignments change on a whim, and I feel like I'm always trying to catch up.
I do not know where to begin. She is very confusing, disorganized, does not understand the concept of class time, and has made some comments that the class interpreted as her saying people who talk a certain way are of less intelligence. Her quizzes and test are graded unfairly and she expects you to read 15-40 pages of reading every class. Just no
She is an awful grader. Despite anything you may put even if it is exactly what she said in the lecture you will have a point taken off. She teaches like a lost child. Unable to properly articulate what she wants to say with no structure to the course.
Dr. Graham knows what she is talking about, but vomits it all out during lectures without any structure. The board has so many arrows no of which are strait or seem to go anywhere. This is one of those classes where the teachers make what is suppose to be an easy class one the of biggest pains.
Her class is hard. Quizzes on readings and moral principles almost every class. Very easy to get lost in lectures, she's all over the place. GO TO OFFICE HOURS IF YOU WANT AN A. She's very kind forgiving if you go and talk things out with her, and going helps clear things up, and she answers questions. If you have the option, don't take her class.
There are some people who weren't meant to be teachers. She is very disheveled and the class lacks structure. Despite this, if you pay attention in class and do the readings you will do well. She curves, takes attendance randomly, and participation does matter. There are a lot of quizzes, two small writing assignments, the midterm and final.
Her classes are so confusing. She makes the topic you think you understand more complicated. There are quizzes that don't really help you. The lectures are so scattered brained and no organization, shell ramble about a thing for 30 min then brush over a super important topic. She cares about what she teaches but she is just too confusing
currently sitting in class and i've never been so lost. she obviously knows what she is talking about but she is completely scatterbrained. turns an easy class into a hard one.
This professor is extremely scatterbrained. If you do not know any entry level philosophy, do not take this class
she's very sweet but makes things so complicated for an entry level course. I am struggling to keep my grade up and the tests are pretty difficult. if you go to class and pay attention you'll get a lot farther- but she's just all over the place. very nice and wants to help though.
IwishIhadmorecharacterstodescribehowawfulthisclassis.Itookfiveengineeringcourses,achievedAinallofthemandIamgettingaCinthisclassbecauseofher.Ifanyotherteachersareavailable,takethem,ortakeethicsoverthesummer.Nomatterwhatyouwriteyouwillbewrong.IvebeenabletotoughmywaythroughmanyothercoursesbutJodyGrahammakesanentrylevelclassnearlyimpossibletopass.DONT!
This class is insanely hard when it does not need to be at all. I got all A's besides this class and I put most effort into this class. Do not take this class. She is caring but also is the most confusing person I've ever heard speak.
so confusing, tests are never over what she tells us to study, super scatterbrained, lectures make no sense at all. Could go on and on about how confusing the class is and how hard she makes it. Literally wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.
This class is not as bad as some of her ratings say. It IS harder than an ethics class needs to be. Pay attention in class and ask clarifying questions during and after class. Her lectures are poorly structured and all over the place so you have to keep her on track. If you ask questions she will like you. Study for exams and essays. You'll be fine
Her class was very challenging but she really cares about what she is teaching. She gives lots of opportunities to get points back on essays and tests. It's very important to participate in class and form a relationship, it'll make the class way more enjoyable. Very scatterbrained but really generous towards the end of the semester about grades!
Professor Graham's class can be a challenge, but staying engaged and utilizing resources like unstuck study for study prep can make a big difference. The lectures may lack structure, but attending office hours helps clarify things.
RUN. She is a nice person, but she should never be allowed to give any college-level lecture. She does not stick to the syllabus, rambles on and on nonstop, but never says anything of value. Grades are unfair, and she never teaches the material how she wants it answered on the tests. Wont know your grade until the end, cant use Canvas correctly.
professor graham was SO SWEET! i really enjoyed the class and her, but she has major organizational issues that OFTEN make the course of the class and your grade confusing. however, she is 1000% willing to work with you and won't punish you for mistakes on her part. participation and collaboration is important for understanding but I recommend!
She is an amazing professor and clearly passionate about her subject. The two exams are definitely challenging, but that is cushioned by the fact 25% of your grade is from a group project/presentation.
Her lectures are really boring and very hard to follow along. If you miss any of the group presentations might as well kiss your grade goodbye. And the dates aren't very organized. Found it really hard to go to this class.
Her lectures made zero sense and talked about the same thing over and over
overall a nice teacher, but she is hard to understand and isn't great with letting us know when stuff is due
She is nice, but the lectures can be long and a lot of relevant tangents. Quizzes/tests are difficult and it is hard to understand what to study. Canvas is also all over the place and your grade can easily fluctuate drastically.
Dr. Graham is a very sweet woman, but she lacks in the teaching department. I would walk into class, listen to her lecture, and walk out more confused than when I walked in. With her rambling, long-winded answers, and vagueness about assignments/exams, it's very easy to get lost in her class. If you show up and suffer through, you'll get an A
Super nice person, but I have never had a more unclear and all-over-the-place professor in my life. She rambles for the entirety of the 50 minute class about topics that, most of the time, were not even on the syllabus. The quizzes were impossible to study for because nobody knew what they were going to cover, and the questions were super vague..
Very polite and nice professor but was prone to rambling, which led to lots of confusion. Assignments and due dates were never clear.
Professor Graham is very caring and clearly passionate about what she teaches. The overall grade is based on alot of reading quizzes and a group presentation, however if you pay attention and brief over the readings, you will do fine. She is very willing to help students who might be struggling with concepts. I highly recommend class participation.
