Jody is by far the best instructor I have ever had! Every lecture comes with a great story and she is fascinating to listen to. She engages the students (especially at 8AM) and the class is VERY fair. She brings candy to class and acts like a mentor, not just an instructor! She is very, very approachable and great to talk with. All around great!
She is very helpful and keeps the lectures interesting. She tells stories relating to the material and lightens up the classroom. Tests are not difficult, all you have to do is show up to class and make flashcards and memorize the terms. I highly recommend taking Medical Terminology with her. This class will definitely be your favorite.
Jody is awesome!!! She is always willing to help you, even with other classes. I'm definitely taking her again.
Good professor easy exams! do work and study and you will be fine
Absolutely need medical terminology book, but did not need an access code. This is the best professor I've had at the University of Toledo thus far. She wants everyone to succeed and is straightforward with all the work you will need to get done throughout the semester. She is really funny and loves to tell stories if she has extra time.
Great professor. She really cares about her students. Her class was my favorite.
I took the class online during the summer, so it was a lot of work but that is obviously expected in a six week course. Jody was super helpful with any questions, and as long as you read and complete the guides that she gives, you will do really well on the tests. I definitely recommend her!
Best professor I have ever had at UT! Took her for First aid and Med Term, and I got straight A's without even trying! Jody is funny, nice and actually cares about her students. She is always available to help. Her tests are easy, no tricks! You are guaranteed an A as long as you do all the assignments, and come to every class to participate.
The notes get kind of boring but she shares stories occasionally and keeps the class interesting. Attendance is not mandatory besides a few recitation days, but its recommended that you attend all classes. She does a review the class before the exams and the exams are easy as long as you study. Great class and great professor.
She's a wonderful teacher and she gives you real life scenarios to help you understand things better! Very willing to help. She assigns a homework assignment as long as a quiz each week.
I only went to class on the first day, Recitation days, & exam days. If you do the online hw and quizzes and you know the terms there is no reason you shouldn't get an A. Study for exams and show up to take them, they aren't hard. She gives you the schedule for what days count for points and when things are due - it's all really straight forward.
She has review games in which she gives us most of the questions on the exam. I would definitely take her again.
Online homework and quiz each week. It's not hard as long as you study and know your terms. She tells really interesting stories from her work experience. Also, she's always looking for student feedback to better her class. She's nice and approachable. I would definitely take her again.
If Jody Morris teaches anatomy and physiology Saturday mornings @ 8am I do not care, Take her! she is amazing! I would drive to the moon to take her class. She is so smart and a great teacher. She makes sure you really understand the material. she also gives nice hints in class.
She is really one of a kind. She is laid back but presents the information spectacularly. There is quite a bit of work but this is because of the class and not through her. There were days the material was so dry once we got through it, she let us go early. If you have the chance to take her, I highly recommend it. She knows her stuff.
Such a great professor, highly recommend her. Quite a bit of work but only because she's forced to give that much by the school. She does review games before exams and gives points for showing up to them. She's very nice and approachable. She gives extra credit too, and lots of it.
Jody tries to understand students and gets the point of "college." She makes med term a little more fun and will give her personal touch. Exams are heavy, but kinda have to be so study. Easy class.
Professor Morris is alright she lectures about terms that are not on the test, lecture is boring you do not need to go. Do the online homework it is a chapter due every Sunday it is long, but it helps. Study the terms at the end of each chapter do not use the powerpoints.
Amazing professor!!!! I can't wait until I have another class that she teaches! She is super funny and friendly. She will answer any of your questions even if they are theoretical. Tells amazing stories. Everything she gives you to do helps you remember and practice the material. Highly recommended taking her class!
I tried SO hard to get an A. I took it online in the summer, worst decision ever. It completely ruined my entire first half of the summer. The tests are timed and for most of them I didn't have time to complete them all the way. The answers are not stated clearly in the book. I ended with an A- and only needed a couple points to get an A
Amazing professor. She is super knowledgeable on all the stuff she teaches. Tests are not hard as long as you study for them. Her lectures are interesting and she has a lot of cool stories to tell.
Probably one of the best professors at UT and one of my favorite classes. She is really knowledgeable and will answer your questions, unlike some professors. The content itself can be boring, but she trys to make it interesting with her examples and stories. Oh yea, she is hilarious.
She was a wonderful professor. Loved to tell stories from her experience in the medical field that pertained to what we were learning in class that day. Syllabus explained everything that was due and was very clear. Homework and quizzes were online and very simple. Exams were a little more difficult but were based off of memorization.
Possibly the BEST professor I have taken at UT. She does absolutely everything to make sure that you will get a good grade. She gives out extra credit for showing up to class, she plans a review day before exams, gives study guides, and will tell personal stories of her experiences to help you memorize the terms. TAKE HER!
One of the best professors I have taken at UT. She knows how to relate to the students. You would be a fool not like and pass this class. The homework was online (buy the e-book) and had a weekly assignment and quiz. There was about 4 exams and an oral exam as well. (do the "Participation Matters" by going to class) Easy A if you study.
Professor Morris is an extremely cool person. She has amazing stories to go along with the material. If you study and do the homework/quizzes its almost impossible to a get bad grade. The book is very necessary as well as attendance for Participation Matters points.
Great professor, one of the better classes and professors I have had at UT.
One of the best professor I have had a UT. She tells cool real life story that relate to topics being learned and is a very cool person in general. You will use the book for quizzes and learn smarts every week. As long as you study and do the work you should be fine.
She is the best prof. I have had at UT so far! I looked forward to going to this class! She is hilarious and tells some really cool stories. You have online homework and a quiz due every week but they are easy as long as you read the book. You also get to redo the quizzes up to 3 times for a better grade. Study for exams and you'll do fine!
Jody was a saint this semester. I would recommend her to anyone. You will have to work for your grade, but it doesn't ask for much beyond what is expected. She was always accessible outside of class and made sure that students understood the material clearly. The access code recommended came with a binder-bound textbook that proved to be helpful.
Jody is awesome. Explains great, tells interesting and funny stories. Don't define every term in the book, the ones on her slides are the ones in her tests. She is clear on grading criteria, and provides TONS of extra credit. She takes random days for attendance and that's part of your grade so don't miss class a lot.
Her exams are kinda hard, you just really need to take the time to study. But her lectures are so fun. She makes you want to come to class and she gives LOTS of extra credit!
Jody's class was amazing. She was funny and made lectures interesting by telling stories and sharing videos. She had random participation matters quizzes which were easy, but you had to be there to get credit. Show up to class, you will learn a lot! Her tests were easy if you studied the material she went over in class. 10/10 recommend!
Dr Morris makes a boring, dry subject super interesting. She does a great job incorporating real life stories and scenarios into her class (she was and still is a practicing doctor and organ transplant specialist). Lectures were always interesting, and the grading material for the class was pretty clear. This was a class I enjoyed attending.
She was fantastic. The course couldve been boring but she made it seem very interesting. I found that using quizlet and flash cards outside of class helps.
She was my favorite professor. She was great at exlpaining all the information and found ways to interact with the class. She was funny and I loved being in her class.
At times the exams are graded very strictly, but Professor Morris offers enough extra credit to help balance that out. She is a hilarious professor that has plenty of supplemental stories to help keep the class interesting and informative. I would definitely take her class again.
So far she is the best professor I have had shes understanding about if something pops up she will work with you and her stories are funny some are tear jerkers though so bring tissues especially for the cardio unit!
My favorite professor by far. She is hilarious and makes class worth coming. She often gives in class participation assignments so make sure you go!
One of the funniest and most helpful professors I've had so far. She makes sure her class is understanding the material and is always accessible to help her students outside of class. Exams are pretty straight forward as long as you study the terms/lecture notes.
Great professor definitely recommend her!
Really great professor, she tries to make lectures interesting and offers a lot of extra credit.
I loved Jody's class. The material wasn't too hard as long as you studied (obviously) and she gives so much extra credit. You honestly have to try to get anything lower than a B in her class. Also, she's super funny and has so many stories to tell us that keep us listening during the lecture. I would defiantly recommend her.
I really enjoyed this class even though it was my earliest. The material wasnt too hard to remember and the professor always made things as fun and relatable as possible. I recommend taking her because she will make your life a lot easier.
Sassy, but heart of gold. Very funny lecturer. Bonus points awarded at random times throughout the semester. Most exams (except exam 4) follow lectures. Make a Quizlet of lecture terms as she's going through. Online book goes more in depth than what's needed. Get first 4 chapters down & you're set for the semester. Would take course w/ her again.
One of the best professors at UT. Very organized and helpful. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. Professor Morris really knows her stuff and actually teaches so you understand. She had tons of interesting stories from her experience in the medical field that relates to the topic of the day. Loved her class!
Prof is amazing and hilarious and keeps you entertained with life stories from her past. Info is interesting with gory pics on some chapters. All of the info that you need for the exams are on the Pp so book wasn't used. A LOT to memorize but Easy. Questions on exams are direct so you don't have to analyze anything and no tricky questions.
Prof Morris was the best prof I've had so far. She always makes the funniest jokes. She cares about your grades and will use class time to ask if there are any questions. We played review games before exams and she will let you know if you need to know something for an exam. Read the book and practice the root words and terms and you'll be fine
She was very funny in class and this isn't a difficult class to study for or do.
Jody is the funniest person ever which makes lectures not awful. She gives a decent amount of exams but if you study and prepare you should be fine. You have homework and quizzes at the end of each week but are very easy and are a grade booster. Totally recommend!
She is a great professor! She makes the lectures fun. The homework/quizzes are easy A's but you have to study for the tests to make sure your grade stays above passing.
Jody is wonderful. Tells hilarious stories. Definitely need to put in a lot of time studying in order to get consistent grades during tests. She gives extra credit out like candy. Makes a rather difficult class fun and entertaining.
She is so funny! Super easy and not stupid. She is not boring I look forward to going to her class
I loved Jody so much! She is hilarious and makes the class fun. She teaches the material clearly. Homework is very easy but I had to study a little for tests. Go to class because she randomly takes attendance for points. You need to buy the online access code for her class but actual textbook is optional.
Amazing class, would take again. Loved Professor Morris; very funny and tells great stories!
Jody is one of the best professors Toledo has to offer. She is very funny and makes lectures fun. Exams are extremely easy if you study her powerpoints. Always willing to help out students.
Jody is an awesome professor. She makes med terms really enjoyable and interesting. She relates her personal experiences to the lectures, which makes it more interesting. Best professor ever.
Great professor; super fun, tells a lot of stories and makes the lectures rather enjoyable. The material isn't hard, but studying is recommended.
Jody is my favorite professor at UT. She really makes lectures interesting and knows what she is talking about. She gives many extra credit opportunities. She actually uses the book that you pay a lot of money for. I wish I could go back to her class.
Jody Morris is an amazing professor. She takes the time to make sure everyone is on schedule and learning all the information correctly. Attendance is important because you will be given participation points. Professor Morris makes sure that we are ready for each exam and is helpful if you are behind or struggling. I would recommend her to everyone
She was very good at keeping everyone entertained during lectures. She explained all of the material very well and even broke down what would be on the exams. It was an easy class as long as you study the terms for the exams.
One of the more enjoyable classes at UT. Jus make sure to do your homework, online quizzes, and participation matters and you will be fine!
Literally love this woman. Best class/professor at UT.
Make sure you go to class because of the participation matters! The lectures are so interesting as well. There are weekly quizzes and homework which are easy and do not take very long. She offers a lot of extra credit and really wants everyone to succeed.
Dr. Morris is one of the best professors at UT that I've ever had. Her lectures are very clear and funny and gives a lot of funny analogies that really help you understand the material. Lectures are not boring at all and she makes it super interesting and fun. Show up to class and pay attention and you will be fine. EASY A
She is a funny person in class, but she is a little too strict when it comes to the use of technology in the classroom. She also isn't clear enough when it comes to what material will be on the exams, so you just have to prepare for every outcome.
Professor Morris is the best professor I have had at UT. Explains things very well and she is hilarious. This was the class I looked forward to attending. Homework and quiz each week, 5 exams and an oral exam. The exams werent too bad because iif you attend class you tells you what to study and the breakdown of each. Highly recommended clas
One of the few professors that I have had that follows her syllabus and class schedule. Lectures are very interesting and she has great stories to share. Also has some cool videos and pictures. You need to attend class for participation matters days. Studying is recommended for exams but weekly homework and quizzes arent too bad. Learned a lot.
Great professor! You can tell she really enjoys what she is doing. Wants her students to do well. She said, the first day she likes to have fun. She can be hilarious and is not afraid to laugh, especially about herself. Tells great stories from the medical fields to help relate the terms to real life. Always open to answer any of questions.
She's hilarious. She makes an otherwise boring class interesting. Take her!
Phenomenal professor. Explains material brillantly, and has great knack for keeping class engaged through humor and stories related to subject material. Very approachable and relateable. I wish she taught all of my difficult courses.
Jody is absolutely my favorite college professor I've ever had. She tells hilarious stories, she gives examples to help you understand the material better, and she gets your attention during class. Her only rules are no phones in class and no side conversations (not asking much really). She does give homework every weekend, but it's super easy.
Great professor! Highly recommend this class and professor.
Pretty easy especially if you have experience with human physiology. Just do two hw assignments a week and you're golden, very little work was needed to get A minuses on the exams.
Great professor, one of my favorites. Very knowledgeable about the medical field. She has worked in Sports Medicine and Organ Transplantation, so she has lived it and not just read about like many other professors, which I loved. She had tons of stories to share from her work experiences. Great class, I would take again. Highly recommend this prof
Jody is so funny and makes this class awesome! I did not dread going to this class. This class is much easier if you have already taken A&P 1 and A&P 2
Professor Morris is by far the best professor I've ever had, I would retake her class if I could. I recommend her to everyone, she gives a ton of extra credit and is a very fair prof. She is also very understanding and makes the material interesting to learn by telling funny stories and giving better ways to learn.
I absolutely loved Professor Morris. She is my fav professor so far. Her lectures were engaging and she always told funny stories. I really enjoyed going to her class. Her exams are very straightforward and she offers lots of extra credit. Normally two homework assignments are due each week on Sunday. Lots of points are offered in the class.
She was an amazing professor, made class/material interesting and engaging with stories and jokes. An assignment and quiz are due every Sunday, and she tells you what types of questions are going to be on the exam (ie multiple choice, fill in the blank etc.). Offers lots of extra credit. If you study enough you could easily get an A
Shes amazing. Going in, I was nervous about all the content that was coming, but shes so knowledgeable about the field she makes it easy to digest. I would love to have her again. She tries to make lectures as fun as possible. Its obvious shes passionate about what shes doing!
Professor Morris was very laid back and great at teaching
Prof Morris was a great lecturer for the first few weeks of the semester. She knows her stuff and is absolutely hilarious. She tries to make class interesting. However, when the class was made online due to COVID19, she was pretty much unreachable and wouldn't respond to my emails/questions about certain chapters. Take her in person if you can.
Probably one of the best professors at UT. I understand why many say she is their favorite professor. Good communication during Covid switch, with emails and phone calls. Very clear grading criteria and very organized. I learned a lot had this is stuff I will actually use. Loved this class and professor, I would take any class she teaches.
Loved Professor Morris. I wish we could have finished class face to face, because shes awesome and has great stories from her work in the medical field. Weekly homework and quiz. Five exams and an Oral Exam.
Love professor Morris. It is an honor to take her class. Life of the party and loves to tell great stories that actually relate to the topic! Would take all my classes with her if I could!
Professor Morris is one of the best UT has to offer. Loved her class. I was worried at first, but the way she breaks learning the terms down into word parts makes it so much easier. Homework and quiz every week, five exams and oral exam. Do your work and look over the terms a little each day and you will be fine.
Worst professor at UT. Unprofessional. Rude. She is not kind. Good luck asking her for help. Changing my school because of her.
Loved this class and Professors Morris. Learned a lot of stuff, I will actually use in my medical career. Very organized and knowledgeable professor. Make sure you do your weekly assignments and quizzes. You will need to study for the exams, because there are tons of terms to know but thats expected. I would take any class she teaches.
As a nontraditional older student, very nervous about going back to school, she made the class enjoyable and answered any questions I had. Willing to stay after class or help during office hours. You will have to study, because there is a lot to know. I was shocked at how entitled some of my classmates acted. Its college, time to grow up.
SHE IS AMAZING! As a college freshman in fall of 2019, I was super nervous. Shes one of the best teachers I have ever had. Shes funny, smart, and knows how to wake the class up. She knows what she is talking about! I would take her again if I could.
Professor Morris is one of the best professors at UT. She's hilarious, reliable, and knowledgeable. I learned so much in this class from her lectures, and the online homework system also helps with memorization. Her teaching incorporates different learning styles (auditory, visual, hands-on, etc). I would love to have her as a professor again.
She is amazing. She made her lectures so interesting, talks about real life events and shows real pictures. She explains very thoroughly all her material. Knows what she is talking about 100%. She answers emails quickly and is always willing to help. She is so sweet and hilarious I would definitely take her class again.
Love her, so nice, and really cares about her students. 10/10. Great professor.
Based on her lectures, I can say without a doubt, I would hang out with her outside of class. Every lecture is full of anecdotes that are both fun and relevant to what she is discussing. Assignments all come from the textbook, but they are reasonable in length and amount. If you put in a little bit of work, you can easily succeed in the class.
Morris is an amazing professor and person in general. She makes things fair and trys to keep things fun. The lectures are a lot, but they are important. Do the homework and youll be fine. I suggest flash cards to pass this class.
Jodie is really funny and nice. Her class has lots of hw, assignments, quizzes and tests. Although it may get annoying it is for your benefit. There is no reason not to pass this class if you do all your work and turn it in on time. My advise dont study the power point bc everything you need to know is in the review section of the book.
Loved her class and loved her. One of the first classes I have taken, where I feel I will actually use the material taught. Weekly homework and quiz. Five Exams and an Oral Exam. She tries to be fair to everyone. Her only real rule is that you must provide documentation in order to get an extension on missed assignments or exams.
LOVE!! One of the first classes I have taken, where I feel I will actually use the material taught. Weekly homework and quiz. Five Exams and an Oral Exam. There is no reason not to pass this class if you do all your work and turn it in on time. My advise dont study the power point bc everything you need to know is in the review section of the book.
I rarely went to her class however sometimes I just went to hear her voice. I absolutely love this woman. For never going to class, I earned an A+ which is absolutely amazing. There are weekly quizzes, however, you get 3 tries to get your best grade before it is submitted. Exams are every few chapters but they're easy if you pay attention.
Her lectures were entertaining, so much so tat I even watched the lectures even when it was an online course
I respect her as an intelligent teacher. Class was a lot of work, lectures are helpful, though she sometimes waffles so you have to know what to focus on. Biggest complaint is she didn't respond to some emails requesting help. Her extra credit opportunities and final exam being open book brought my grade up, and it's awesome she offers that.
Morris is probably my favorite professor at UT. Will stay after class if you have any questions. Really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Great stories from her past medical experiences that help you learn the material. Love this class and love her.
Professor Morris is a great lecturer, she makes it interesting by telling personal stories and experiences. Lots of HW though. 5 tests total and a decent amount of outside time will need to be put into this class, but there should be no reason to fail this class because it is out of so many points and most assignments are just time-consuming!
Honestly A LOT of work. The course load is a lot if you have any other classes. A 95 is an A in this class, and you have to have 400 terms memorized for each exam. The oral exam and final are super easy though. I took this online but through email professor Morris isn't the nicest. She definitely came across very rude on different occasions.
Lot of work for it being med term. A 95 is an A in this class. 6 exams including 1 take home exam, 1 oral exam, andm 4 lock down browser with CAMERA (if you take her class online). Through email professor Morris isn't the nicest. She definitely came across very rude and does not round grades. Not horrible. Exam 1 and 3 are the easiest. Not horrible
Learned a lot that will be useful to my future career. Was very kind and worked with after my surgery. Recommend this professor.
What more is there to say about Morris that hasn't been said already? The greatest professor at this University. Funniest stories, interesting lectures, super chill atmosphere. Yes, there is a lot of work but it's so easy a child could do it. Absolute 10/10 professor and class.
One of the best professors I've had yet at UT. Very easy and straightforward work. Do the assignments and quizzes and then you have the exams. Exams were online with webcam but pretty easy. Then you have the final oral exam which is straightforward. Follow her instructions and you'll do well.
There isn't much to say that has not already been said. SHE IS THE FUNNIEST PERSON EVER. She was very helpful and always provided feedback with everything. The most important thing is to show up, pay attention and participate. If you study a week before the exam you should do good. She does provide extra credit which is very helpful.
I LOVE professor morris with my whole heart, she is hilarious and makes lectures fun. She helps you understand material and if you show up pay attention and take notes you will be fine
This class was not difficult but you have to keep up with everything because it is fast paced. A lot of homework sometimes more than 5 things due on Sunday, i recommend going to class sometimes you get credit for being there which is a grade booster.
The funniest professor you will ever have. I took her med term class and yes, it is a lot, but it is still pretty easy. I would definitely take her if you can!
Very straightforward, easy class. Took it online with no issues. Loved Prof. Morris's lectures!
Best teacher ever. Her lectures were hilarious. You have 3 lockdown browser exams, 1 oral exam, and the last exam is an open note. Learn smart and quiz due every Sunday. If you come to class you'll be fine, he makes it very easy to understand everything.
Very knowledgeable and straight forward professor. Loved her class and loved her
Amazing professor.
Great professor, knows her stuff and how to teach.
Professor Morris is a hoot! Her lectures are a blast, and as long as you stay engaged and utilize resources like unstuckstudy, you'll do great. Definitely worth taking this fun and straightforward class.
Connects Theory with real life experiences. Gives amazing content. Funny and fair grader! Would definitely recommend.
Great teaching style
She's great, she makes boring slideshows hilarious by telling her own stories and making them funnier than they should be. The exams are all proctored, but they're so easy to prepare for, just use the quilts she gives you. This class should be an easy A.
Professor Morris was amazing. She's super funny and has engaging lectures. Prepare to do a weekly assignment and quiz. Going to lectures does matter to actually learn the material but she doesn't take attendance. There is random extra credit given and points for showing up to class. The exams are fair and she makes sure you know that.
