He's an African American nice teacher. He approaches teaching in a very easy-to-understand fashion. His tests are really easy, even if you didn't study, he'd put really off-subject answers that you'll guess the answers.

He is a stickler about points on your lab and lab quiz. Giving you half points when some people get full credit.

He's sooo sexy!!! He lectures a lot and tends to be boring.. but if you pay attention and take notes... you'll learn a lot and get a good grade... sexy mama....

He's an awesome bio teacher no matter which level u have him for;the tests are basic matter of fact quest. about everyday things,not vocab.He allows at least 7or8 ex cred. opportunities in the semester for about 50+pts.The semes. is out of about 500 pts.

A little scatterbrained, but genuinely wants to teach students. It's fairly easy to pass his class ... but it's also one of the only interesting Bio classes. Good way for English/History majors to get rid of those idiotic science requirements.

Dr. Conner is one of the most dedicated instructors I have ever had. His commitment to education and the community is far greater than the college administration as whole. He a candidate for the Board of Trustee, or President of the college.

he doesn't teach all that much. you gotta do a lot of self-studying. if you study for like a hour for quiz, and 3 hours for tests, you'll do fine. paper is easy. really NICE and helpful, although not clear sometimes. very dedicated to the students.

He is such a funny professor. The way he lectures is pretty good and he offers a better way to study the text (skimming technique). Offers many extra credit opportunities. Like someone noted, he promotes leadership.

well i thought his class was interesting, plus the field trips, the class was so so.. sometiems... quizzes easy... they make u use ur head....

He teaches off the book and his lectures can get boring if you hate Bio. Tests are extremely hard with tons of memorizing. However, do ALL the Extra Credits and you'll pass with a C. Do well on tests, and it's a easy A. No HW!

dr. conner's explanations are not top of the line, but his other goodnesses compensate for it. if a student does not like him, that is the student's problem.

he is an awesome teacher....and dont pay attention to the last post..that person does not even know how to spell...biology was a bit too much for them i bet...he is the BEST!

he teaches materials outside of the class, that can be used in the daily life,helpful,very fair person, his sexual jokes are REALLLLLLY funny..., yeah, and plenty of "community serivce" as extra credit, more hrs=more points.recommended

The test are a little hard which u have to study but he's an awesome teacher. soo funny always make u laugh

Tests are fair.If u read textbook, u'll get A.Otherwise u'll still get A if ur IQ is high.No kidding!His overall generosity is extraordinary.Some lectures might seem confusing,but goodwill to give easy quizes makes it all up.His gestures and hand motions make lecture fascinating.Conner simply rocks!

Dr. Conner is really there for his students and I think he is a positive fun guy who is very concerned about his students and their future.

Mr.Conner is a very good professor. Not a boring class at all. A lot of field trips. You do have to study for his quizes and tests, but its not hard to do. His lectures are very good, never fell asleep in his class, or day dreamed. I strongly recommend his classes. You learn a lot.

The best professor, the class is interesting and very fun. I had no idea about the topic but I still passed with an easy A.

He is a cool guy, he has open note book for quizes make sure you study for them also sometimes time goes by so fast that u r time is up for the quizes.His projects are easy it's not just about how the easy the class but learn as well.The field trips are cool it's not just about picking up trash u learn something NEW & DIFF, TAKE HIM U WILL HAVE FUN

I think he's a good teacher - nice and funny and informative BUT there was a CLEAR undertone of creationism. He said he believed in God and I wasn't uncomfortable with that at all until it crept into his lectures/ extra credit. If you don't want to hear your biology teacher tell you occasionally about how God may have had a role in biology - avoid

This class was kind of ridiculous. I don't think I learned a thing. Because it was a winter intercession class, Conner skimmed the material and mainly talked about things that weren't on the test. The tests were hard, even though they were open book because the questions are ambigous and worded strangely. But, the labs were cool and he is nice.

Good bio teacher, (Winter 07), gave alot of extra points (minimum 40), every time ur in his lecture and he say's do someting, do it and put ur name and info! grade out of 430 points, 4 test, plus final (100). Realy funny sex jk's lol, his cool, but only talk about bio, our he'll stop talking to u.

I don't understand why many people below are complaining. I hated biology until I took his class. He wants every student to succeed and offers help on the subject and for the outside world. I got 60 points extra credit which made me get an A in the class. Open book exam... what else can be easier for a hard class?

First starting the class it seemed very difficult. But if you stick it through, at the end it becomes the easiest class. Conner's pretty cool. If you seriously think he's such a bad professor, try others who don't care about their students and give tons of work. He's laid back, and wants you to do well.

I loved this calls it was fun and easy. the tests weren't super hard but they weren't easy unless you actually read the chapters. he has a lot of extra credit which is very helpful. sometimes he gives open book or take home quizzes. the lab for this class is going on field trips which are actually fun and educational. He gives a lot of extra credit and openbook test. I love him so much that he takes care of his students. He does't really teach detaily because he knows that the BIO105 students are not transfering, so he just wants to student to understand the concept. He is trying to hepe or find a studernt's paid internship and experience.

Honestly can't complain. Easy class, fun field trips, and made lots of friends in his class. Knowledgeable professor that does well at his job. Highly recommended.

well...I dont understand why students are complaining of his tests.. his practice tests are prepared at lab so that everyone make copy and study before the exam. The problem with most students are they just memorized tests not understand.. also he gives ways of too much extra points to make up for it..He is knowledgeble and very helpful.

Overall, pretty easy class. Quiz on every chapter (open book, so make sure you get one). Mid-term & Final (not open book). Last half of semester is 1 field trip every week. 2 projects, which are pretty easy, just needs a little research. Overall, easy to pass. Took it for my IGETC.

quizzes and tests are open book. easy field trip journal. extremely easy oral report. you get to choose either to maintain the school aquarium or write a 5 page paper. choose the aquarium its stupid easy. gives a ton of extra credit. I recommend this class for anyone who needs to fulfill a science requirement.

Easy class, need a lot of studying in your own time. Overall, very chill professor and a lot of EC opportunity.

Professor Conner is an excellent teacher. He cares so much about his students and is always so interested about their career goals and finding ways to help. His tests are not too difficult, but reading and studying for the tests are a must. He does offer extra credit, and the labs are very straight forward. He is very knowledgable and approachable!

Joe is a good prof. His voice and personality reminds me of Samuel L. Jackson. He's funny in his own way. He is definitely into Biology so that makes it fun. He likes it when you ask questions because you stand out. SO ASK QUESTIONS. go to his office hrs. if you need it. book not really necessary since his power points are from the book. TAKE!

Dr. Conner is a professor that really cares about his students. He really want everyone to do well. He might seem intimidating at first but he is extremely nice and helpful. This class is basically just test and lab. Tests are not too difficult and it's open book. For the lab quizzes just pay close attention to his lab lectures.

Any one of the comments that are saying how he isn't clear during his lectures are wrong. Yes he does get a little side tracked with playing videos more often than other professors, but the videos are relevant to the topic in class. Also anyone having the audacity to say that his tests are hard are the ones not trying. Your using a book LOLOLOL....

Dr. Conner might seem as intimidating but he is actually very approachable. His class lectures are kind of boring because he goes over powerpoints but sometimes his jokes are pretty funny. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities so be sure to take them. He shows that he cares about your career success beyond his class.

I loved this class, easy A if you're actually smart. I can't believe people do so poorly and rate him badly considering every test is open book, easy quizzes, extra credit. It's also nice being taught from an SC alum. Only problem is he always changes his mind and there's no canvas grading. Loved the class as I love marine bio but 7am class sucked

Anyone who goes to PCC and need a lab science class - take this guy! The field trips are really cool, hes super easy (open book tests: exams and final) and he clearly wants you to pass. I missed a lot of days and he was super willing to help. The only downfall is his class is really early but it will make you more active throughout the day!

Overall he is a great professor! He really wants his students to succeed in every aspect of life. As far as grading goes, exam and finals are open book but, I warn you if you dont bother reading before hand chances are you WILL FAIL! He offers ALOT of EXTRA CREDIT but dont rely on that to pass since he raffles the spots. Attendance is a MUST!!!

Amazing professor, very inspiring. Class requires a lot of reading; I took this during winter so perhaps it would be a more enjoyable experience during a longer session!
