GREAT SUMMER CLASS, GREAT TEACHER
Eye Candy
Great professor! Take him for FIN 320!
He's a cool guy. Take him for FIN 320 and Fin 370. It's so much fun and he knows what he talks about.
Prof Greco is totally cool and laid back. Took him over the summer and it was cake. 3 test, but beware of the department final. Take him!!!
In one word Wonderful! He has a great voice which makes it easier to listen to his lectures. Make sure you staudy the practice exam and the powerpoint notes. You really don't need the book unless you want extra reading.
he is a nice guy and the test are very similiar to the sample exams
Great professor, highly recommended! Very clear and extremely helpful!
If he teaches another finance class....sign me in! Very cool teacher! Take him!
Go to class, powerpoints reflect what is going to be on the exams...very intelligent
great teacher!
Not a really easy prof anymore a lots of material to cover need to study hard very hard and know the material
Nice guy, but i didn't like his teaching style. Tricky and hard tests and pointless in-class group work. Lectures didn't help on the exams. I wouldn't want to take him again. thats just me though.
He's Ok. I just don't like his teaching style, he's kinda lazy. Tests are hard, especially the department final, a KILLER!! He didn't prepare us for that.
Greco is a pretty chill guy and his powerpoint notes are posted on his site to make the class easier to follow. Test are not easy, but not hard so it's okay. Also curves the final since it's department and is harder than his midterms.
poor teaching style, little student-teacher interaction, allows cheating and ignores hard work.
Good teacher, multiple choice exams & 5 essay questions, uses power point and the exam comes of off his ppt. pres., offers extra credit, his goal is for every one get atleast a "C" in intrnl. finace.
Tests are super easy...final is harder but open note. Some say he is monotone - but I liked him. I got an A with minimal studying.
Great Prof, simple & easy teaching method, exams are straight from the powerpoint, book is only for calculation prob, awasome teacher~
Nice guy, good teacher. Class is a bit boring and the tests aren't a cakewalk, but this isn't a tough class to do well in. He's extremely helpful if you're looking for a job in finance, especially international finance - knows a lot of people and is constantly talking about job openings...
After a law class and FIN ACCT the beginning of this class is review. The tests are fairly easy with the exception of the third test and the final; he doesn't reveiw the tests real well either. The is a very good class and Greco is a good teacher and seems to be a good guy.
Very straightforward and knowledgeable. Cares about students and wants everyone to succeed. Class is average as far as difficulty, you get what you put into it. Definately recommend if you are interested in international business
This class was fairly easy. Just go to class and take good notes, and you'll do well.
this guy suck! poor teaching, hard to understand. tests are very, very hard.
He's a nice guy, but his tests are tricky. For example, during the review for his tests, he'll tell you the essay questions that could be on the test. But when you take the test, you'll have several questions he didn't mention. So study all the power points he says will be on the exam.
This class was easy. All u have to do is go to class and listen, you can pass with a good grade.

Great Instructor. Challeging class if u don't put the time. Very fun and interesting subject. I recommend this instructor and you have to attend class even though the he has power point slides for notes
Great professor. he knows what he is talking about. as long as you study his ppt and memorize all the essay problems he posts on his website, you can at least get an easy B.
Even though Professor Greco has an extremely mono-tone voice, he is probably one of the most interesting professors. I think he does a very good job of preparing the class for the test. Make sure to study the power point slides and to prepare for the essay portion by pre-writing the essay questions! Good luck!
THIS IS A GREAT CLASS, STUDY THE HEDGING STRATEGIES, IT WILL BE USEFUL WHEN YOU INTERVIEW FOR JOBS, COME TO CLASS!!!
Great teacher! loves what he does. He is also really involved in the finance world himself. Make sure to study his power point slides. Good luck.
Professor is not bad, but gives very difficult tests. You must memorize so many esay questions and study his powerpoint slides. Final is cumulative. If you don't have time to study, you will be in truble.
Very difficult tests. If you don't have time to study, than you better find the easier professor.
This class really cover too much material. I could not digest. however, tests are easy;
Dr. Greco's class is pretty straight forward. Class is pretty interesting, especially if you are interested in international trade.
Excellent and knowledgable guy!!! don't need to buy the book, not even do the homework. Easy really!!! just study his power points, but, only the stuff he mentions on the review. Have fun!!! (take him in summer time, way easier.
Outstanding professor!!!! Never boring! I always enjoyed and learned from his class lectures. Very interesting subject. Great tone and style.
Plenty of opportunities for Extra Credit!! Awsome Professor!! No stupit group Projects/presentations to worry about in this class. Just study his powerpoints and you'll be fine.. easy really.. Highly recommend him, you'll enjoy his class very much!!
He gives three tests and four quizzes. His lectures are great and the material is very interesting. Study the PowerPoint slides and you will do well on the tests. He is very knowledgeable and is good at helping his students understand complex topics. He offers extra credit too. Dr. Greco is a great teacher. If you take FIN 370, take it with him.
Prof.Greco is one of the best teachers in CSUF. If you have a chance to take his class don't hesitate. He knows Int'l Finance very well and he helps students finding interships. I got a C because I missed like 2 weeks of class and I was always late. But I studied his powerpoints and I passed the class. I just wished I really put more effort
Exams are hard. but the extra credit is easy. and all the other points in the class are easy. so even if you dont do great on the exams you can easily bring up your grade, plus his lectures can actually be quite interesting and fun
He is one of the best pro. at CSUF. His class is really interesting. Material load is alright. Study ppt. notes and you will be alright. He is actualy nice looking for his age! Easier if you take during the summer.
If you could take this class, take him. Summer is way easier (3 exams, no project). He's very knowlegeable, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended. He's not bad looking either, so that's a plus. The class was fun and very interesting. I really enjoyed it.
He is a great professor because you'll learn a lot of interesting stuff (e.g. what exactly did Enron do?). However, he badly needs a break. He works and teaches full-time, therefore subconsciously passing that overwork mentality onto the students. There were 2 group projects, five quizzes, and a final exam during his six-week summer class.
Prof. Greco is a very nice professor. He loves what he do and knows the subject very well. I love his offer for the insurance policy at the end of the term. It will really help you to boost up your grade if you do a good job! Highly recommend this professor to everyone who needs to take Finance 370.
Great Professor who really knows the subject. Attendance is not mandatory, just read the slides. Grades based on "random" quizzes (he tells you when they are) and three tests. Tests are moderately difficult but he offers an insurance plan (extra credit) that really boosts your grade. Had a B all semester, did the self-insurance and got an A.
this professor is very knowledgeable and easy to understand. course may seem easy but his exams are hard. make sure to read the text book or at least review it. powerpoints studying only wont due.
The text book has much more content than the class. not worth taking if it is not required.
Great professor and he makes the class interesting. We have quizzes(announced) and for exams pay attention to the terms highlighted in yellow on the ppt slides
A great professor with experience in the industry...The case study is great experience for all...however, need to work out two papers for this course...Yes, the textbook sometimes is important...Good luck
I thought Greco?s class was boring but that wasn?t his fault it was the subject. I did learn a lot from him but I know int?l business is not for me. His background is impressive and he?s good to have in your network.
Prof Greco is unorganized. Way too much work for this class: 1 individual paper + 1 group case analysis (given at last 3 weeks of school). Good thing is he gives extra credit
Worthless class. The guy is transparently full of garbage and lives vigorously through his past students and their accomplishments. This class was completely subjective and I learned absolutely nothing. If you are looking for a class that requires minimal effort without a learning objective, you have found your gold mine.
GREAT TEACHER. He is smart and he teaches really well. Class is very interesting. It is quite inspiring actually. 3 tests. + lots of extra credit opportunities.
He's a good teacher! You must go to class because what he says in class is on the test. He started posting majority of lectures online! Gives a lot of extra credit, final is cumulative with lots of information but he curves.
No hw two midterms and a cumlative final. Study the power points and you will be fine. He curves and he gives a lot of extra credit. Must take this class.
very interesting class. Awesome professor, has a lot of experience and gives some interesting examples. Highly recommended!
Good teacher, knows his stuff and makes it very easy for the tests. study direct from the powerpoint. he made them so he knows exactly how to teach from them. He does the powerpoint for the publisher. Do not need the book at all. Study for tests and u will be good, no project
Greco is a great teacher. He has tons of real world experience, he is approachable, and he wants to see students succeed. I would recommend this class & this professor as well as his FIN 371 class- Import/Export financing. Test may be a little hard but just study like a college student should and you'll do fine.
He's a good teacher. Midterms were okay, but the final was quite difficult. Too much to remember for a final that was cumulative. Also, since it was a hybrid class, you would have to self-teach yourself some of the Chapters. It was good class because there was no project.
The worst class I've ever had. He is drab, dull & harsh. He is as fake as his home black hair-dyed job. He'll reply to all your emails with "NETTIQUETTE" & not answer your questions. Don't waste your time-take another professor. His final is a joke! He will pass students that don't email him b/c he hates to be emailed. Then fail others that do.
Exams are hard and tricky, but don't let it stop you to take him. Think about this is university lvl. Yes, he is a bit unclear and unorganized, but you will learn TONS of stuff. He relates the subject with his experience which is easier for students to understand. Overall, he is a good professor. Highly reccomended!
This class is NOT a breeze, but I can guarantee that you will learn a lot and the information is extremely useful. I definitely recommend him to any serious student. Midterm was over 14 chapters, and final was noncumulative; One 30 page business plan and a 20 minute group presentation about the business. Take him if you want to learn.
8 DB posts 50pts each; 2 exams 100pts each; cumulative final 400pts. He corresponds video/PP lectures w/book, which is helpful. Not the worst online professor but it could've been better. Bad @ communicating; didn't allow us to review exams; some of the questions/answers were wrong on the exam; some DB were posted late. Still ended up with an A.
We have 8 DB and 2 quizzes 40 points each, 2 midterms 100 points each, and final 400 points. This Professor did not give any extra credit for online class. It take him long time to respond students email. The test and quiz he give you certain time to take it.Usually Friday or Saturday 8 am or 7 pm. Most of the chapters he did not have audio lecture
Great Professor; very knowledgeable and willing to help students. 2 exams and 2 group projects. You don't get to pick your teammates to make teams more realistic.
Good Professor overall. Slow at responding to e-mails but had many resources online including video lectures. Exams were tough due to time allowed and time of day but if you read the book and study a little beforehand it's not too bad. Final was tough but manageable. Take him.
Took it online very easy class. Highly recommended. Take take take. But you do have to read and study hard if you want an A.
Easy although requires studying to get an A. 2 midterms 1 final 1 discussion, 2 quizzes and a group project (super easy) take him
I took the online course from this professor. There are two quizzes, two midterms, and one final. It's an easy class. Professor does not respond to emails. I sent three. He had us buy the new book when his lecture videos and powerpoints were based on the old book. Lack of organization. Sometimes you have video lectures, other times you don't.
Bad teacher he says that he is going to curve and he doesn't. Exams are hard and the stupid web exercises kill your grade as long with the short paper.
This professor really knows his subject. I would take him again!! The exams are tricky, but as long as you really study you will do fine. I would suggest using flashcards to memorize all the concepts. That really helped me since there are 50 questions in the exam in only 75 minutes. Web exercises also helps to boost your grade!
Took this class online. Web Exercises were self explanatory and pretty easy, but he will dock you points if you don't follow the instructions exactly. 2 midterms, 1 final, 1 paper 5+ pages minimum. Choose a good topic for the paper and prepare early! Gives quizzes on 2 movies that are dry but informative. Ended with a better grade than expected
I have never had a professor like him before in my life. Extremely harsh grader. if you miss one sentence out of the whole assignment, you get to lose 40% .Tests are so hard that you spend minutes in how and where the questions came from. Be aware! Don't ever bother to ask for a makeup test even if you ended up at the ER. Heartless and Rude.
Definitely a very harsh grader. In the beginning the class seemed easy but as you start with the semester, you know you are in college. He grads on 1 research paper,3 midterms, 2 quizzes and one assignment. Quizzes and tests are difficult and for the homework assignment, you would have to spend days or weeks to get it done.
I took his hybrid class for International Finance. Therefore, you only go to class 5 times in the semester. The study guides were vague. Therefore, It's pretty difficult to get an A in the class. You really have to work hard for it. Exams are hard. The final consists of 90 questions. GG. Overall, if you put in effort, passing is very possible.
The class grade was pretty much just 3 tests, 2 quizzes on movies, and a couple of homework assignments all related to a research project. He gives out study guides for the Tests. Doing them should get you a B on the tests. Seemed to get annoyed when responding to e-mails--very curt. Would take again for easy class, but didn't like him personally.
Don't take him unless you have no other option. His lectures are dry & boring. His gets bothered if you email or text him. Too much Ego. No make up quiz/exam at any circumstances.
The classes not that difficult as long as you read the book and do the assignments, but if you forget to follow the format he gives you zero and won't give you any feedback on the assignment. Think twice before taking him or else you will be stuck in the class. The professor doesn't care about his students and has an aweful personality.
Has a moody personality. Video lectures are boring and painful. Reading the book doesn't help much. 2 quizzes based on 2 movies you watch. Exams are different from what is expected except for the quiz questions he puts in. The writing project is due the week of finals, very inconvenient. Unnecessarily difficult and uninspiring class. Not easy.
Dr. Greco is one of the best Professor I have ever taken at the CSUF. I have learned so much in this class! Be ready to challenge and work in the group. The group project is a sum up of the entire class. Don't wait till the last min, go to his office hours and start your project on time.
Should not be anyone's first choice for a professor. There are other classes out there to consider and better professors too. Despite being online, the opportunities for growth and development are limited because the professor gives vague feedback, video lectures are inflexible and monotone sticking with the book, and no real life practicality.
Took this class fully online. Pretty easy with 2 movie quiz, 2 exam, 1 final, 1 writing assignment, and 1 paper due at end of semester. Class is not difficult, for the exams make sure to do your study guide thoroughly, and don't wait for the last minute on the paper. Easy B, does not curve or give + or - for online class. Doable self taught course.
Joe Greco is one of the best professors I've had at CSUF. His Global Risk Management class was interesting and he has plenty of real world knowledge to apply to his lectures. The grade was made up of weekly online quizzes, 3 tests (1 online) and a group project. He was accessible and very helpful to students both inside and outside of class.
He is a nice teacher with a lot of knowledge. His course isn't very hard but you have to do a lot through the semester.
2 midterms, 1 final. 1 short paper and a final paper. Final paper killed me. He specifically wants you to follow a format, FOLLOW IT or else you will receive a low C on the paper like I did, even though I included all the information that was asked for. Had I gotten an A on that final paper, I would've gotten an A-, instead I received a B.
This is the easiest class I have ever taken in my academic career(I have two masters). He gives you 30 minutes to complete a 10-question quiz (mostly one-liners). The midterm and finals are 25 questions each, and 75 minutes are given. The group project requires a little more work, if you have basic finance knowledge (CFAL1), you will be just fine.
good class for an online one. he provides everything you need to know. DO the study guides for the exams. I made the mistake of not doing it for the first exam and did not do well but then did the guides for the next to and improved A LOT. There is a research paper that he gives easy points with - easy points for the outline and the topic.
Prof Greco is very passionate and has real world experiences. His lectures are to the point and easy to follow. He sets you up to do well on his exams. Lecture videos are helpful, too. He always stops to make sure everyone understands the subject. A real gem of a professor at Csuf in my opinion.
Greco adds some freshness to finance. I had no idea how international finance worked and he did a great job giving me an insight on how multinationals corps run their business. Take him on campus, 2 midterms and a final. Study his slides, take good notes, and dont be afraid to ask questions. He wants you to do well.
Two midterms, a couple online quizzes, a final exam, and a huge semester group project. If you want a good grade on the group project, you must follow his criteria precisely or else you will get points docked off for careless mistakes. His exams are not the worst, just study the course materials well. Must take if you're into logistics.
Class isn't too tough. Just do the homework and study a little for the exams. You'll be fine. However, I would highly recommend keeping a very close eye on your homework assignment grades. I had to email him multiple times to inquire about a low grade, and he promptly corrected it. Was very condescending in email responses. There's better options.
Watch his videos over and over, listen to when he says something's important, and take note of the words in gold. Fill out the study guides THOROUGHLY and remember the Q's from the movie quizzes, as they will come back on the tests. As others noted, he is VERY precise about written assignments. Just follow his directions EXACTLY and you'll be fine.
He unnecessarily makes the course tough. Do not take him in the summer session because he makes it ultra fast paced. He also gives very limited time for the exams and quizzes.
I loved this course, it was a chill summer class that pretty much was my finance lab. Highly recommend taking his course. I took a good amount of knowledge away from this course
His online FIN370 class is not a "chill" class. He gives you 30 minutes to solve multi-part computational questions that require at least 50 minutes to complete. Also, he has a 30% written assignment that he will arbitrarily grade to deflate your grade. There are better class choices out there...
His homework assignments take two hours to complete, yet he places those same questions on a 30-minute quiz. You do the mathjust an overall terrible experience.
AWFUL class. 30 minutes to do a quiz with 19 questions (4+ problems have 3-4 parts each) that would actually take an hour+ to solve... Homework is NOTHING like the lectures and takes 2.5-3 hours to do. Same question/concept repeated simply for busy work. Not a reachable professor online... TAKE SOMEONE ELSE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE
Save yourself the headache, and don't take this garbage professor. His homework questions take over two hours to finish, and his quizzes take just as long - yet, you only get 30 minutes to complete them.
It is NOT easy. I spend hours weekly finishing the homework. It's not simply homework but other quizzes after that, too. We have two more "quizzes" which are basically midterm and final exams that are not impossible to do. There are also quizzes that require watching videos, and a writing project which decides your grade so be careful, huhu.
Nope, don't do it. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from taking this professor. He has a snarky attitude and purposely doesn't say anything about templates, so students do poorly on the quizzes. Note: You need templates to pass his quizzes...
Busy work class, homework takes an excruciating amount of time and definitely would not have done so well without supportive teammates. 2 exams that are proctored and basically had to teach myself everything. Would not recommend this class if you have a busy schedule. However, 2 projects but its easy, just follow the basic guidelines and youre fine
Would not recommend this professor. He assigns long weekly online homework with multiple parts per question that take at minimum a few hours to do. This tedious online homework did not help at all with the weekly quizzes and the three exams also. Only his in-person lectures and prerecorded lectures help, if you take notes. His final is cumulative.
*FIN 570* Don't know where to begin. I wouldn't recommend taking professor Greco. The amount of tedious weekly homework, quizzes, lectures/reading was ridiculous. It was so much that retaining anything significant became a problem. On top of that, there was passive-aggressive communication from the professor via email which didn't help. Don't do it
Decent professor. All quizzes & exams were online for the weekend & bases them around his textbook, so it's required to buy it. Only a few homework assignments. Course is heavily graded on 1 final group project due at the end. Not very tech savvy & had to rely on in-person lectures / his textbook to learn.
Honestly, one of the best finance professors I've had. I was shocked that some people struggled because he makes everything so straightforward. I took him for FIN 370, FIN 371, and FIN 375, and all the exams and quizzes are online on Canvas outside of class. He keeps things simple with a few easy worksheets; you'll pass with no problem.
The professor himself is pretty confusing. He has you buy 2 different programs for the class, Breakout Learning and Pearson, for homework. It was more busy work than actual content. He grades easily, but his assignments were tedious. A big downside for me was that the quizzes and exams were only open during the weekends.
