He is very enthusiastic about what he teaches and is easy to follow. The exams are all essay, but not too bad.

Dr Morris is exceptionally knowledgeable on the subject & very enthusiastic in the teaching of it. Good prof. I'd love it if he lightened up on the essay questions though! Not enough time during tests to really answer thoroughly! Good teaching style.

He is a great professor, and his enthusiasm about politics makes the class extremely enjoyable! He doesn't over-burden you with reading assignments, but the class is difficult. 95 percent of his tests are essays (about three all together). His class is definitely worth taking. He is such a nice guy, and is absolutely willing to help.

AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! sure, he's the director of the honors program, but don't let that scare you. as long as you go to class and take even half way decent notes, there's no way you can fail his class.

Nice good. kinda cocky since he knows he's hot and single. Class can be boring unless he telling his random stories. 2 papers - fair grader but not clear on the topics and specific he was looking for. 3 tests- blue book!!! Essays ... be able to spit out your notes and think critically.

One of my favorite professors. Tests are graded kind of hard, but if you study youll be alright, just write long essays explaining everything you learned related to the topic of the question. Hes deff. one of the coolest professors and really funny to, and hes a good guy.

This is literally the sexiest man alive; not only with brawn, but brain as well. His method of teaching is excellent, and his understanding of the material makes you wonder why this man is not our president. Absolutely take American Government with him, you will not regret it. Three tests, and I think one paper.

Could be less critical on tests and essay papers. If asked for your opinion be cautious!

He is very passionate about American Government so he makes it fun and interesting. Very pleasing to look at. Just make sure you apply yourself right in the beginning because all his tests are essays.

Great instructor. He knows his stuff,and presents it well and keeps it interesting and engaging. At the end of the class, I still am unable to clearly tell what his personal political views are, as he argues passionately for all viewpoints. I definitely recommend him.

He is a nice professor and cares but his tests are RIDICULOUS. They are so hard. He makes you write out three essay questions and 5 vocab. He gets the vocab from blackboard we don't even go over. In order to even get a b on the test you need to absorb almost all the info which is virtually impossble. He also makes you do polling or write a 5 page paper in the middle of the semester.

By far the best teacher i have ever had. He makes classes interesting and fun. You can tell he loves what he does and is interested in what he teaches. His tests are very easy if you know the material. It's essay form. Reading is not a necessary thing but it definitely helps. Take Environmental Issues or any class you can from him!

one of the best teachers I've had at the hurst. he is very helpful, interested and passionate in his work and teaching and is involved with his students…he's not just there for a lecture. he is the reason i switched to political science as my major. i make sure i take as many classes with him as i can and seek his advice when needed.

Dr. Morris is a lot of fun, has great stories to tell and is easy to talk to. His lectures are very interesting, and though his tests can be kind of hard he isn't that tough of a grader.

Greatest professor I've ever had. Even though I only had him once, he still notices me when I pass through campus. He's so friendly, understanding, and sees so much potential in students. His lectures pertaining to the government shows his passion for the people of the U.S.

overall great teacher exams are challenging beware of "all of the above" or "none of the above" answers. Enjoyed his lectures and grades pretty lenient on essay responses on exams. focus on notes in class for exams and also the terms he posts online to define. Other than that there's not much more you can do to prepare.

Dr. Morris is a legit legend. I literally went to this dudes class maybe 5 times the entire semester, failed all the tests except the final one, never did the mandatory presentation/project, and at the end of the semester this dude emails saying that I got a B on the last test and he was very pleased me with at all my hard work over the semester.

Dr. Morris is a great guy, and while his tests can be a bit challenging, he prepares you well for them in class. Even if you're just taking his class as part of your core requirements and have no interest in the subject, he'll make it enjoyable. However, you will need a flexible schedule for the mandatory polling center hours outside of class.

He really cares about his students which makes for a good class atmosphere. It's more like studying with a friend :) he gives you all the facts you need to know so you can formulate your own opinion on political matters. It was a refreshing class for me to take

Professor Morris is an amazing man and has a passion for what he teaches. However, his tests can be a bit tricky. He does not post his notes, so make sure to write down everything from his lectures. In the election simulation, participate as much as possible. The grade for the simulation boosted my grade from a high C to an A.

Although the American Government course is lecture heavy, Professor Morris does an excellent job making them engaging and interesting. He does a great job making students feel welcome in his classroom. He is also very knowledgeable about political science, and a great teacher as well. I totally recommend taking him for any class that you can!

Morris is by far one of my favorite professors at MU. He is very genuine and down to earth and it manifests into his lectures. Though his lectures are dense he always keeps class fun and light hearted. His tests are difficult, but if you listen and know the material you'll be fine.

Professor Morris makes his POLI100 lectures engaging, and he presents different viewpoints objectively. The tests are challenging but manageable if you stay on top of the material. I found unstuck AI and the free textbook helpful for study prep.
