This class is extremely hard but that's Cisco's fault. About half of the students dropped the class. That said, those of us who stayed really learned something. As long as you submit assignments on time, he allows you to resubmit them for a better grade when you have a better grasp on the material. I wish he taught 171 as well! Highly recommended!

This class is one of the hardest intro classes. Prof Trigone makes it better. I work in the field and what he says is true. He brings real world experience and applies it straight to the material. If you come to class and do the labs you will succeed. He is always willing to help you and he'll teach you exactly what you need to know.

He is very inform and will provide you with the best info.

While this is a tough class, Professor Trigone makes it an enjoyable and even fun experience. He truly knows this material inside and out, and goes out of his way to ensure that students fully understand the materials, and to help each and every student succeed. His personality and sense of humor help to keep the class in high spirits throughout.

This is an Intro Course??? Way hard!!! But Prof Trigone stays with you the whole way. He breaks each part down and helps you every step of the way. I was totally lost at the beginning, but felt comfortable and very ready for the next course in the series. Thanks professor!

Class was a lot more difficult then I had first thought considering it states "Introduction" to networking. Prof. Trigone is very helpful and made the experience interesting. Be advised, you will need to study (10 week course I was averaging 9 - 15 hours a week of study and homework, with a 5 hour class). All in all it was a enlightening class.

Teacher was very helpful and knew his work. You asked questions and he was willing to and knew the asnwers.

There is a lot of material for this course. Be ready to read! I can't stress enough to do the hands-on assignments given, it will make the class a lot easier to get through.

The material in this class is tough. He was able to make it understandable. has industry experience that he relates the class material too, it allows you to see how the information you are learning relates to the real world. I got a lot out of that class and it really has me looking forward to the rest of the networking classes.

Mr. Trigone's experience in computer networking is a great asset. He understood which aspects of the course were important, difficult and valued in industry. I learned so much in his class and intend to take more of his classes in the future. Even though the material is incredibly difficult, he will not let you fail; that is, if you do your part.

The classmaterial was not easy, but Mr Trigone was a good instructor. If you had a question he would do his best to answer it. He made the class as easy for us as he could. I left the class with a positive feeling towards the material, unlike when i began.

I took this class in the summer in a condensed session--absolutely brutal!!! A lot of work, and difficult at that. However, with that said I am now completing further Cisco certification classes and I am totally prepared. Trigone knew his stuff, delivered it incredibly well, and held us accountable. All and all, turned out to be a great class!

Helps you get through it.

Be ready to read, to study, and to work. However this will all pay off with a clear understanding of the course and material covered. You cannot miss a day or you will end up working twice as hard catching up. We ended up working mostly as a class for lab activities and tests. Overall a very fun class with a great teacher would recommend to anyone.

Straight up, this is NOT an easy class. Don't let the "Intro" name fool you. This was one of four classes I took during the semester, and I put as much into this one as the other three combined! With that said, Trigone teaches it in such a way that you really understand what's going. You actually learn networking! Great course and teacher!!!

Understand that CIS-170 is not an intro course. It is a very difficult course. He does a LOT of talking. Never goes over labs (done in packet tracer) BUT most of the stuff he talks about is great. Fundamental and career advice. His main goal seems to prepare the class for CIS-171. If you do not want to go to that class, do not take this one.

Excellent teacher, he makes sure everyone is on the same page by taking extra time on a lesson or providing online resources to supplement the material. Please note that this class is difficult and a lot of work- That's not the Professor, that's the material. The text is online and mandatory for passing.

Professor Trigone was incredible. It was one of the best classes I've ever had. The work was intense, but I actually learned a lot. And he did it in a way that didn't intimidate, even though it was a really tough curriculum. I'd take another class with him again in a heartbeat!

First class I took in networking and this prof really made the material exciting, interesting and made me want to do the work and learn the material.

He encourages students to focus more on hands-on and real-world practice and less about text book material. He approach of teaching was quite effective , he was able to make material easy to understand. I enjoyed his class and would take other classes taught by him.

Great teacher that truly enjoys teaching networking . Be ready to work hard. If you find yourself struggling keep at it. Most people that stick through it and do the work do end up passing. However, you must understand the material to move on further into this subject.

Professor Trigone's CIS 170 course was one of the most useful and real-word applicable courses I've ever taken. He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone understands the content and focuses on the skills and information needed to begin a career in networking. I'm in a far better position for future Cisco courses because of this class.

He's very good at making difficult material understandable. He provides good opportunities for extra credit and is fairly flexible with due dates. He doesn't expect you to read the free, online textbook but I found it helped.

A tough class but a fair teacher. Get your assignments in on time, late work isn't really accepted. Stockpile the easy points, you're going to need them. YouTube helps with the Packet Tracers. Make sure to get a jump on the IP subnetting, you'll use it extensively on the final which is a huge portion of your grade.

Class work is tough but he is an amazing teacher. Willing to go through stuff and help you understand it better. Definitely get the Extra Credit done and work on the Packet Tracers, those are a HUGE part of your grade.

Cares about what he teaches. Comes from a standpoint of someone working in the tech field. Gives slack when needed. Clear Teaching in lectures. Easy class if you pay attention and put the work in. Very understanding.

Professor Trigone was one of the best professors I had at Montco. He's a very fair grader and will give extra help when needed. He's patient and willing to work with students. He has a lot of knowledge in the business which helps learning the material.

If you stuck with it, did your work--all of it, and paid your dues, it was worth it. I really know how networks and the Internet work. In this one class, I learned so much!

He will tell you right up front that this coarse is extremely front heavy, and he's not joking. But as long as you study out of class and do all the work assigned you'll pass this class without a problem.

If I had to give you one piece of advice about Professor Trigone, it would be to do exactly what he says. He tells it like it is. If he tells you to take good notes every chapter because you will want to have them for the end of the semester, you better do it. Everything he says throughout the course is exactly what'll happen. Mr. Trigone was an awesome teacher. He was by no means easy , but he will tell you at the beginning of the class what to expect from the class. He will do what it takes to help you as long as he sees significant effort on your part too. I would most definitely take another class of his again. Make sure you give him a hard time he likes that! lol!

He is one of the nicest professors that I have ever met. He would do anything for you to help you succeed in the course and answer any questions you have. The course is not an easy course, it's one of the heaviest, but he makes it really easy for us with his support and help. Definitely, I recommend him to all students.

Course it's self is a lot of work and he understands that and is flexible with moving assignment due dates if need be. He' s more into the practical then memorizing the text book. I would highly recommend. You just have to stick with and he's always there if you have any questions and don't be afraid to ask even if it was already said.

Professor Trigone is a gem. CIS*170 has a lot of information in it, and he made learning seem like fun. I took this class online, and even over Zoom he kept the class engaged. He encourages students to be hands-on, and learn from experience, as well as some reading. He is very patient with the class and will fully answer all questions. 10/10.

Professor Trigone was a great teacher and we learned a lot over the 10 week summer semester. The course is Cisco based, so the textbook is online and has videos and interactive labs/packet tracers in addition to traditional text. Tests are all open resource, and if confused on a topic the professor encourages questions in class. Highly recommended.

I started the course knowing nothing about networking, just wanting to take a "computer-related" class, and left the course wanting to be a network engineer. He takes the time to ensure everyone understands the material, teaches in an easily digestible way, and is generally pretty easy-going.

Is very understanding, but does not let you abuse his kindness. First professor I've had that makes online class (a "four hour" class at that) worth showing up to. If you take this class and it seems confusing just trust he pulls everything together as time moves on.

CIS 170 is a very time consuming course but professor Trigone takes his time to explain key components. CIS 170 is a very labor intensive course but he will guide you step by step on how to complete course works pertaining to these topics .I highly recommend Professor Trigone's class for anyone taking this course (CIS 170) for the first time.

Trigone taught my intro to networking course online and he made the course work clear and accessible in his syllabus and in the first class. the difficulty of online, is loss of the interaction and dynamic of being in the classroom. If you show up, give your work in on time and try to ask at least ONE question, you can pass the course.

I enjoyed the class as he is fair with his policies. He lets you live life by missing a few tests or assignments is no big deal. Test were easy but the packet tracers were a challenge if you don't follow along. Once you get into a routine they start the make sense. Great professor who will break it down into details. Not many do that.

Make sure to show up to class, do the assignments. That way you will be prepared for the exams and final. Trigone was very funny and he knew what he was doing when it came to the material. He will go over assignments if you have any questions.

I had Professor Trigone for CIS 170 the class itself isn't the easiest but, ask for help and try he's very approachable and understanding. He isn't a super tough teacher just do your work and put in some effort it makes the course go by a lot smoother.

Professor Trigone is excellent, he does a great job of making the huge amount of material in CIS 170 entirely manageable. He drops a few of the lowest grades so missing class once or twice isn't the end of the world. Really good job explaining subnetting, one of the tougher parts of the course. I'd take CIS 171 with him in a heartbeat.

Professor Trigone lets you know from the start that you need to apply yourself to the content, but constantly provides encouragement and guidance along the way. If you want to pass, you have to discipline yourself to do all the packet tracer and workbook assignments, so that you can bring up relevant questions before the time you really need it.

Was a joy to have as a professor, some lectures can be heavy just due to the material studied in this course. Trigone keeps its real, gives real world advice and applications for the material studied. Has no problem answering questions in detail, course is homework heavy so practice and study, and you'll do fine.

This was my first networking class and Professor Trigone made it a very enjoyable experience. I found his lectures to be full of information and very fun due to his personality. Very easy going Professor compared to others, while also teaching effectively. I really enjoyed joining the zoom every week knowing Trigone was gonna make it entertaining or get right to the point of that days lecture. The course I took with him has a lot of homework and work to do, there's no getting around it. He also understands that in the real world, we will have outside resources to help us work, although a good foundation of knowledge is important. Tirgone is tough but fair but will work with you on anything if you need the help. He will explain the same thing 5 times in a row if someone doesn't understand a topic. Really wish more teachers were like him. Kinda bummed the class wasn't held in person

I took an online summer course for networking. No summer class online is fun when you just want to hang with friends but he made class super fun. There was never a boring moment in the class. If you find the subject boring, that can happen, but he makes it fun and talks to you like a friend rather than a student which made him super fun to have.

Mr. Trigone knows what he's doing. He is very clear and direct in what he expects in all his students. Definitely recommend him and would take his course again if I got the chance to.
