Dr. Brame is and excellent teacher. his test can be hard but as long as you study the material it is fine. i recommend him for anyone!

By far the best professor I've ever had! He makes the material easy to understand. You can tell he is passionate about the material and about teaching. Very helpful. Very easy on the eyes!

Dr. Brame is very fair and wants his students to do well. He gives us every opportunity to get a good grade: quizzes (which end up helping us on exams because we had to study), two-part questions (lots of opportunity for partial credit), bonus questions, extra credit work, and he does not try to trick you! Classes are interesting. Great Professor!

He's an amazing instructor. I recommend him to anyone that has had a difficult time in Anatomy. He provides excellent information and details on what you need to know. And he's got such nice eyes :)

Awesome instructor. He has a great way of explaining things to people that will really help you understand the concept, not just regurgitate the information. His material is in-depth but if you have some initiative, you'll do fine. Definitely a fine addition to the CGCC staff.

i love this class! dr. brame starts every class with a video that he thinks is related to the class or just for fun! he goes into detail very well and makes sure the hole class understands the lecture and the lab! he hardly ever gives out homework, but you do have to study quite a bit for this class! i found this class very fun and exciting!

NOT an easy A!!You'll spend a lot of time studying (the material isn't easy), but you will ACTUALLY learn in this class!!

Awesome instructor! Everything you need to learn is laid out for you. I am not sure why some comments on here say otherwise. I have never had a teacher be so clear as to what you have to know for an exam. The material is tough, but he simplifies and explains things as they pertain to health and life.Very funny and entertaining.

i already have my bachelors degree, but i am going back to school for nursing, and out of EVERY professor i have ever had, he is probably the best one. One day he will be working at a prestigious univ. He makes the most hardest concepts so EASY!

what an awesome teacher! :) he hands out study guides and explains the concepts very clearly. BIO202 is a hard class and it takes a lot of work no matter what teacher you have. brame is very excited about what he is teaching and very good at it as well!

Dr. Brame is an actual teacher not just a lecturer. He breaks down very difficult information into real world application. It is a time intensive class. It is very possible to do well and have other commitments. Not an easy A but you will learn so much. He is very approachable and supportive. Could not have hoped for a better teacher!

Dr. Brame is one of the most interesting professors I have ever had. He gives real world examples making concepts easier to remember, goes through the chapters and outlines what you will need to study. It is obvious that Dr. Brame devotes a lot of time preparing for his classes. Definatley not an easy A but you will learn a lot from Dr. Brame.

This guy is a phenomenal teacher. The class, like anything else, is a sinch if you study and put forth the right amount of effort in order to fully understand what he's trying to convey.

He was an absolutly AMAZING teacher, he doesn't go by the book. He teaches his own material, so you end up learning alot more. He is tough, but way worth it because he is such a good teacher. As long as you pay attention in class and his hand outs you will not have a problem with the class!

You definitely cannot expect to just breeze through this class but I cannot imagine a better teacher than Dr. Brame. He makes the material attainable and gives you study notes for the exams before he teaches the section. You have all the information you need to ensure an A as long as you put in the time!

He makes each class interesting and has amazing real life examples, but his quizzes are tricky and his tests are hard. You have to study. He is not one of those teachers who seem like they are trying to trick you. He hands out helpful study guides and does not test on anything not on them.

Dr Brame teaching style is amazing! i have never learned so much in my life and really enjoyed going to class! it is a hard class but you get a lot out of it. I am in nursing school now and I still use his method of thinking and techniques for memorization in my school now! I wish he is a teacher for nursing students as well!

I had Dr. Brame for 201 and am lucky to have him for 202 as well. He's THE best professor I've ever had and I'm going for degree #2 if that tells you anything! You have to put in the work to get that A, but all the tools are there. His teaching style makes it easy to grasp the concepts, and he's always there to help if you need it. Love him!

Dr. Brame has been one of my all-time favorite teachers. I think some people don't understand what a difficult class BIO 202 is. He makes it fun, interesting, and easier to understand. He is very organized with his notes and basically gives you all the tools you need to study for the exams. Looked forward to going to class!

Very good instructor, wants the students to succeed.There is a lot of information but you can learn a lot from him. I would recommend for these classes. I wish that he would teach more classes that are related in the healthcare field. Maybe the nursing program itself. If you do not do as well as you want to take it again as a refresher course.

I took this class with two other science classes and received a 98%. Brame is an extraordinary person and a wonderful teacher. The class is easy if you study, just like anything else.

I LOVED this class because of Dr. Brame. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take 202 with him also, and I am so bummed out! Dr. Brame is the best teacher I've ever had. Topics were so clearly discussed that I only pulled out my textbook three times the entire semester. I HIGHLY recommend this teacher! It requires work, but it's manageable!!

Dr. Brame is an Awesome Professor. He makes the class content interesting. With that said I did not pass the class, I put all I could but it wasn't enough to pass. It is not Dr. Brame's fault it is mine. He suggests you to use the tutoring lab, which is highly recommended. I will be taking the class again, and can't wait to see him in 202.

He's an amazing teacher if you're willing to learn, not just passing the class. I'm at Nursing program now taking pharmacology & pathophysiology and everything I learned in his class are useful now. He's very helpful if you need help so I don't know why some say he isn't. If you study, you'll get good grade. Take his class if you want to learn!

Great teacher all around. Very interesting material and health problems discussed in class. He seemed to run out of material at the end of class. I am sure some were happy, but I would have liked more. Tough material, and requires lots of studying time.

Dr. Brame is an excellent teacher! Very knowledgeable and helpful. The class is challenging, but he is very clear about what information you will be tested on. If you want to actually LEARN physiology, then take his class. I got an A in his summer class.

For me Dr. Brame was one of the best professors I have ever had (in 2 BS degrees). He is knowledgeable, cares about his students, and tries to accommodate to different styles learning. Yes, information is extensive, but that is the nature of a biology course.

The only complaint that I have about his teaching is that i wish he didn't cram so much into one test… Other than that, he was great!

Great teacher. His classes were always very interesting, and he did his best to make it fun (which it was)! However, this class is not an easy one and he explains this to you in the beginning. A lot of your free time will be spent studying. If you're not huge on studying, then you will not pass his class. Be dedicated and you'll do great!

I definitely recommend his class. Anatomy is never easy but he made it fun and I actually enjoyed attending his class. The exams are straight from the lecture notes so don't skip! He gives detailed explanations of the course material in lecture so make sure you pay attention to those.

Dr. Brame does not use powerpoint. His lectures are engaging and uses demonstrations, diagrams, and videos. Gives typed up notes and goes over key concepts in more detail. Has funny ways to help you remember things. Lots of information, but teaches in a way that you understand the most important concepts. Wonderful professor!

Dr. Brame is wonderful! I was nervous to take A&P because it is a tough subject to master, but he makes it so fun, and makes it relative to your everyday life. He types up all the notes you need to get A's on his test. Memorize the notes and you will get A's on the tests. He does a lot of extra credit so utilize that aspect and you will get an A.

Dr. Brame is my favorite professor! This is not an easy course, but he makes learning fun. He responds to emails promptly and is always available for questions. If you study his lecture notes and pay attention in class, you will do well. Take pictures of the plaques for studying and record the lectures, it really helps!

My favorite professor I've ever had, truly enjoyed attending class every week. They lectures are fascinating and really get you thinking. He makes you apply the study notes and going over that in class is the best part. Highly recommend this class to anyone, wish I could take 202 with him.

I heard he was the best A&P teacher, and the rumors were true. Unless you have a photographic memory, it is NOT an easy class. You will work for your grade, but you will learn so much in the process. I enjoyed how he gave assignments, quizzes, and extra credit instead of only 4 tests through the year like some teachers. He will help you succeed!

Before each lecture, he plays funny videos to lighten up the atmosphere. For notes, he gives handouts and you just have to follow along and write what he writes. Tests are based on notes, final exam is based on the tests - VERBATIM. You have HW, but plenty of time to complete them (answers on backof book) Study and memorize, he's a very chill guy!

I am very happy I took 202 with him. He is an amazing professor! He uses his own study notes that he passes out for everyone and makes it interesting. The tests are tough - but not impossible. He also offers extra credit which is nice. He makes it fun learning and plays videos in the beginning of class to lighten the mood. I highly recommend him!

Hands down one of the best prof at CGCC. He is incredibly helpful, makes a very hard subject a lot more simple and is super passionate! Tests are cut and dry, study his packet and you should have no issues. There are no surprises. Best professor at CGCC!

Dr. Brame is a fantastic teacher. He obviously knows what he's talking about with Anatomy and Physiology. He works with his students, and gives multiple opportunities to earn extra credit outside of bonus questions on the tests.

I took Dr. Brame's class for 201 & 202. He makes you work hard for your grade. Be prepared to study. This is not a cramming-at-the-last-minute class! He is hilarious and such a great teacher. I feel I learned so much in both classes. He hands out packets for each chapter and will lecture only on what's in that (huge) packet. No Powerpoints!

Dr. Brame was an amazing professor. He made early lab's bareable and genuinely made an effort to ensure his students had a clear understanding of the material. He helped you whenever it was needed, provided tons of resources, and made the class possible to pass. I dont know how I would of done in this class if I would of had any other teacher!

This class is not easy but professor Brame makes it possible to get an A. He is really funny and I wish there were more professors like him. He offers plenty of extra credit too! Took the summer version and it was a piece of cake. Only two short writing assignments, no homework, opened the text book once, and tons of extra credit. He hypes up the difficulty in the beginning, but i only ever studied the night before the tests, and the lowest i got was a 91. Read the packets he hands out and you'll do great!

I highly recommend Dr. Brame! It is still a hard class, but he makes it more interesting and gives out papers for each chapter which I love. His tests are tough, but he makes the class enjoyable! I wish I could have taken 201 with him.

Very helpful and wants you to do well! Specific review guides for each test and what is expected is very clear. The notes are typed out for you to then fill in as he goes over the material. Gives realistic examples and goes the extra mile to ensure you really understand the point. Highly recommend!

Great professor. He teaches just enough in-class to not overwhelm students and leaves an appropriate amount for independent review. A couple of the negative reviews on here are honestly laughable; Dr. Brame is very clear and provides you with everything you need to do well. This is not an easy class, nor should it be. Study hard and participate.

He is a great teacher. He does good visuals which I pay attention to. Those who succeed are those who record lectures and start studying consistantly and often. If you read the lecture packets, and lay out all of the information on the lab practicles you will do well. And he does help with some extra credit. Very fair. And absolutely brilliant!

Not only is Dr. Brame funny, but he uses good drawings and props to explain concepts in a memorable way. Skip class and you'll miss complicated information explained in a more understandable way. He provides study notes for each chapter as well as study guides for each exam. Exams are tough but he provides the tools to get that A, if you study.

Dr. Brame is AWESOME. He gives you study notes that you need to study off of to do good on tests. He takes the time to explain and he actually CARES. The book is only used for diagrams. Just study off his study notes that he provides for you and you WILL PASS.

This is probably one of the hardest classes iv'e taken, but rewarding! He gives great lectures, study guides, and his personal notes to study off of. I would recommend to use all of the resources he offers AND the book, the book is really important for details. He warned us the class was difficult and had lots of info. I think he's a great teacher!

Dr. Brame is a caring, honest professor who makes sure the material taught is understandable. There is a lot of information to memorize in both lecture and lab, but as long as you divide up what you study into sections, you'll do fine. He always comes up with small/fun ways to learn certain topics. This class is basically you know it or you don't.

No matter who you take this class will be difficult! He tries to make the material as clear as possible and comes up with fun ways to remember it. For lab he will give you handouts on what to know for anatomy (Know EVERYTHING on those lists) For lecture study the power points and hand outs. He will give you a study guide for tests which is great.

This was by far the hardest class I've taken to date, however Prof. Brame is also the best teacher I've ever had, his lectures are interesting but challenging, in this class it is easy to feel overwhelmed however it helps having a professor that truly knows their topic. I would 100% take a class with him again.

I love Dr. Brame! This class is so tough but he makes it worth going to. Expect to study your butt off, this is definitely not an "easy A" class. Dr. Brame is a great instructor! He teaches so that all students (no matter what kind of learner you are) can comprehend the course material. He goes fast though, so skipping even one class will get you behind significantly.

By far THE BEST teacher I've had since attending college. This is a tough class but passable if you put in effort. Is very helpful and funny and makes this difficult class super enjoyable. I plan on taking him again for Bio 202. I'm convinced all the bad reviews on here for him are just people who didn't do well in class because they didn't try.

Highly recommend! His classes aren't easy but he makes lecture and lab interesting enough to enjoy anatomy. He's the type of teacher who's kind and funny, he creates studynotes for his students so you know exactly what to expect on his exams! So no powerpoints (thank god). He explains lectures very well, I wish he taught microbiology!!!

A & P is already difficult - Dr. Brame does not surprise you. You must go to class, you must study and you must take notes. He gives you everything you need to succeed. I also took his 202 class - I knew EXACTLY what to expect. He is very clear, makes lectures interesting and applicable. I am sad that I am finished the series!

I was really scared to take BIO 202 after taking BIO 201 with a not so great teacher. Dr. Brame is amazing and I absolutely loved every second of his class. He never made me scared of a due date or unprepared. He really gives you every resource needed. As long as you put in the same effort he is putting into you I believe you can get an A.

Joel was amazing! I took his summer 201 class, which was a very fast-paced jam packed class, however he made it understandable and relate-able. I don't know about you but I love to make real life analogies when it comes to remembering things, and he threw out a lot of little saying's to help you remember different things.

Good instructor. Not PowerPoint heavy. Gives outlines to participate with in class and tests from them. Textbook is for reference mostly.

Great teacher overall

Dr. Brame is great. In the first lecture he stated he doesn't do power points and I appreciate that so much! I can't stand professors who do power points and just read word for word off of the slides. Dr. Brame does a great job of making sure you understand the material in both the way he teaches and tests and how to apply it to the real world.

Dr. Brame was hands down one of the best instructors I have ever had! He has a way of making the material understandable and relatable that really sticks with you! He gives lots of extra credit opportunities and also has all the notes typed up for you each day- color cordinated too! I made sure to sign up for BIO202 with him as well! Love him!
