Brother Judkins expects a lot from his students. There were lots of quizzes and assignments each week, and because of it, I learned so much. He's a terrific teacher. I highly recommend him.

Bro. Judkins is one of the easiest teachers. If you complain enough about the difficulty of an assignment he will move the deadline. He is very nice, but I wasn't pushed at all to learn, I floated through all of his classes, and got an A.

I found this class very difficult, due to the depth of Adobe Flash. But Bro. Judkins really makes an effort to assit you, so you do understand. I took several times out of my schedule to meet with him to gain a better understanding, and it really helped. You can tell he really cares, and he is a funny guy. What is nice, there are no tests!

Bro. Judkins is a GREAT teacher!!! There is a test every week and homework as well as group activities outside of class. It's like two classes because you don't really study the book in class and that's what's on the test. Great teacher!!!!

His Interpersonal Communications class is amazing! I would recommend it to everyone! it is such a great and fun class, you really get close to the teacher and the people in the class. It was my favorite class I took. Some of the projects you might think dumb at first, but all of them are very rewarding!

This class is NOT hard at all if you put in the effort. If you are not doing the reading, not participating, and not attending class, then it will show in your work. If you need help, just ask. Use your resources: textbook, communication lab, lab assistant, and classmates. Do your work, go into the class ready to learn, and you will get the most.

He teaches pretty well. I knew nothing about flash before this class, and now I feel pretty confident. Some of his ways are pretty set, even if they aren't the best ways. But he does teach the class quite well, and it shouldn't be too hard if you actually try.

Best class that I have taken at BYU-Idaho! He is nice, interactive with students, and always available for extra help. He creates a family out of a class which adds so much to the learning experience. I have learned so much more in this class than any other I have taken. Highly recommend!

I loved this class. It was super fun and I learned so much. I'm not a Comm major but I hear this was a great class so I took it and I'm glad I did. It's a harder class, but if you apply yourself it's very doable. The projects are great and have a lot of real life application. I loved it!!!!

I almost didn't take the class because of the negative comments here. I found Bro. Judkins to be a good teacher. He helped me after class when needed and was very patient in helping me with the Adobe software. I felt he was fair-generous with grading. It was a good class.

Hated the class for the first few weeks, because everyone has an F, but he does it to work you hard, and even though I'm not getting the best grade in this class, I'm passing. I love the class now because I'm learning like crazy and that's more important to me than the grade. Take only if you want to learn not if you want a good grade!

Brother Judkins is a very insightful man. He love his students. He has good judgment and he expects his students to learn. Some may complain because he sticks to his deadlines, but honestly if you turn things in on time you will do great in the class. I have had many great experiences in my life, but this class ranks among the top.

Bro J is a great guy and tries his best to teach a really hard subject. If you follow along and make it to every class your golden! He is very helpful and willing as well. I took this class because I am a Web Design major, I felt really bad for all the of Comm students that didn't get it. HTML, CSS and especially PHP are just confusing languages for any teacher to teach. Honestly I loved Bro Judkins teaching style and I felt like he taught the subject better and more basic then any of my CIT web classes.

Bro. Judkins is one of my favorite teachers in the COMM department. Yes his classes push you, but isn't that the point? I learn more in his classes than I do in others so that's why I've taken him whenever possible. If you're looking for an easy A, go somewhere else. If you want to learn, take his class.

This class can be a little confusing at times, but overall it's very beneficial. I often found myself thinking about what we'd been learning in class and often talking about it with others. It definitely made me re-evaluate and change some aspects of my life. You learn a lot, but it's up to you. It's not an easy A, but it won't kill you either.

Brother Judkins is a great teacher and this class was really fun and easy. The book was so interesting and fun to read. We never used the book during class or had discussions on the reading, however, which I wish we would have talked more about it because class seemed kind of pointless sometimes. He is an excellent teacher! He can be a little confusing but he's there to help you. If you have concerns he's willing to work with you. His teaching style is different than others. He realizes that life still happens even when school is going on. This was nice because my husband had a lot of VA appointments that we had to go to that semester.

Brother Judkins is a great professor and I look forward going to this class because part of the class consists of getting to know your classmates first and last names. Eventually, the class creates awesome friendships and you have a ton of fun. Read everything in the chapter because the tests are very wordy and detailed from the chapter.

Okay, real talk. Brother Judkins is very good at telling you exactly what he wants and exactly how to do it. If you attend class and pay attention to his tutorials, you will have no problem passing his class with flying colors and learning the essential basics to design. He's fun to be around and always answers the questions you have.

I took Visual Media from Brother Judkins. The COMM department sets the standards for this class, but Bro Judkins is very willing to help. He gave the class an extra week on one of the projects which let me go from a C to an A on that project. He's very open to meet with you and that time is golden. Take your project in and he'll tweak it for you.

He is on of my favorite teachers in the Comm department. He rarely uses powerpoints like other teachers but instead does live demonstrations which helps so much. He has an emphasis on using fellow classmates as resources to pass the class which was so helpful and I made several friends from this. He is always willing to meet to help.

He is a pretty good teacher. He goes a little fast during class and he seems a little scatter-brained at times, but if you ask questions he'll stop and answer them for you or will ask the class what they think. He's really good at keeping the class participating. The workload is heavy and grading is tough, but he's always there to help improve.

He made it a priority for us to know our classmates names and interact outside of class, which made going to class so much more enjoyable. Read the textbook thoroughly and study with your classmates and you will do well on the tests. I would take it again!

I have social anxiety and was scared about the participation but you become friends with everyone in the class from assignments so it is easy to participate. If I could, I would take this class every semester.

Brother Judkins is amazing! If you need to take Interpersonal Theory, definitely take it from him. I have so much respect for him and he is also extremely funny.

He gives you really great feedback on the work that you turn in, and helps you to make your projects great. He's good to work with and is easily accessible outside of class. The projects can be time consuming, though, and he understands that. But he still expects a lot.

Comm 150 is the best class I have ever taken, and Bro Judkins is a wonderful teacher. He is a great example of interpersonal communication. If you love academics, you will probably find this class to be different; there is a textbook, but the focus is not on academic learning, but rather on CHANGE. Brother Judkins is a solid guy. For the 150 class we had name quizzes, which sounds like a drag but it's actually a lot of fun. Our class got super close and we were able to have such a positive and fun learning environment. It gets you outside of your comfort zone without being scary, and what you learn in this class applies to any relationship.

Brother Judkins is probably the most kind-hearted professor on campus and I have taken several classes from him as he is one of my favorite professors of all time. His passion for the subject coupled with his many years of experience led to some of the most memorable and important teaching moments I have ever had.

He is great! We spent a lot of time talking about how to be good communicators. He asks for a lot of participation and is really good at asking open-ended questions without expecting us to read his mind. This class is great to take even if it's just an elective!

Br Judkins is the most deliberate and thoughtful professor I've ever had. A master teacher. He expects sincerity and effort from his students, it's not an easy A. But he cares deeply about his students' success. The experiences in his class are truly next-level. Wish he taught even more classes.

Brother Judkin's class has been my favorite of my entire college career. It's the only class where I've actually become good friends with my classmates. There's no busywork and no "word-count" limit because the assignments are really for you, they're all things that help you think and grow as a person. YOU matter to him more than the grades do.

Brother Judkins is awesome and I love this class! I have never had as much fun in a class as I had in this one. Lots and lots of group work so be aware. The one downside is that Judkins takes a while to grade so you won't know your final grade until the very very end.

I can't reccomend that you take Comm 150 from Brother Judkins enough. He cares about his students, and it shows. The way that he sets this course up makes it a must-take, even as an elective. You leave his class almost sad that it's over. Deadlines are strict, but the work is engaging and easy. Most of the tests are open book/open note.

I love his lectures because they kept me interested most of the time and that he had everyone involved in class. I had a great time in class because I got to know all of the students.

The fact that there's low ratings baffles me. Bro Judkins is SO compassionate, he truly cares for his students and is so passionate about what he teaches. Every. Single. You have to be in class because he does not give lectures - instead, there are so many cool "labs" or "activities" that you engage in as a class. Fair grader. He's a great leader - he has high expectations, but also knows you can do it. Super cool teaching style. You do read a short book for the class and have to do a couple big projects.
