I learned so much from this professor. He worked very hard to help me understand the material. I would say take him if you really want to learn.

Some in my class felt he teaches the material too quickly. I disagree - I thought he taught the material at the right pace and that he taught us only the pertinent things, skipping that which belonged in higher classes. Great teacher.

Wonderful class and wonderful teacher. I loved the way he taught, he used examples and directed students questions, even if all but one person understood. I would take any math class with him because I know I would learn.

He is very good. He works through things step by step. I would recommend him to anybody. If I can get a good grade in College Algebra anybody can. Take him, he is great!!

He is a good professor. He allows note cards on the tests. He gives out quizzes before the test, and if you understand your mistakes and work on them you'll be fine.

I did not like that he only used power point, I learn better by showing examples. But listen people, if you do the homework & study the quizzes, there's no reason to not do well on the tests. Stop being lazy and get over it.

He is a pretty good teacher, he is really clear and has cares about your learning the stuff. He is well prepared for class, do your HW and go see him if your in trouble and you can get at least a C

This online class was very good. Tests and homework were online and you can take the tests up to three times..last score is your final grade. Only two on-campus tests for midterm and final. Answered any questions students had. Respnded to emails within a short time. Good online class for those who perfer taking classes online.

Great teacher. Has a good sense of humor. His tests are the same kind of problems you get on the practice ones in mymathlab. It is a difficult subject(well for some of us) but I hated math and still passed. Make sure you complete his quizes and the mathlab homework. If you do this you can get D's on all your actual tests and still pass. Recommend!

This is my second class with Proff Rappoport and I think he is a great professor. The problems on the tests are the same as the practice quizes and examples in class. He always takes time to help and offers extra credit if you need it! I made A&B's in both classes! Great Professor!!!!!!

Very easy class, and I haven't had math in 10 years! The prof gives tons of extra credit, and if you miss 2 or fewer classes, the final is optional. If you fail this class, its on you! Don't buy the book though, we barely used it.

He was a great teacher. He always helped out. willing to help you pass. gave extra credit just for coming to class! if you anwsered alot of questions in the class he would give extra credit. VERY helpful. Deff should take him! plus you always get to use a cheat sheet on every test even the FINAL!!!

Prof Rappoport is friendly, dedicated, and eager for students to succeed. HOWEVER...he does not appreciate interruptions during class, class clowns, and fakers. If you don't like doing the work necessary for the grade you want, you won't succeed. If you are in class, studying hard and doing your work, he will do anything he can for your success.

This class was fairly easy. The material has the potential to be difficult but the professor is very helpful if you ask and you can take the quizzes twice each, plus he drops the lowest grades.

Incredible Professor! Calculus is not exactly an exciting subject but Prof. R. brings it into real life situations. Eager to help his students. Do the homework! It makes all the difference.

A very nice and funny teacher. The material is hard, especially if you are not a math student, but he clarifies it well and is very helpful, utilizing lecture outlines and online homework. However, there is A LOT of work to do online, so if you have toruble accessing a computer pick a different class.

I took the online class - really great. Helpful, responsive, and if you do the work, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good grade. I'd take Rappaport's class again.

Took this class online, and it was an easy A for me, and I am not a math person. Uses group discussion, which wasn't too bad, and gives a 1 week grace period on homework. The online format offers tons of examples, and walks you through step by step, but you have to be willing to work things out.

If you go to class every day and do all of the extra credit you will pass this class. I failed every test but did all of the homework and quizes and extra credit and got a C. Easy and fun class. No way to fail!

I thought he was really nice. He cares about his students. He gives extra credit, I ended getting an average of 102 for the course, if you study his test review, then you'll ace the test. He also has a sense of humor, which makes it more fun. I found him to be a great professor and I would definitely take another one of his classes.

Great prof., but the subject itself is very hard. I would not recommend taking this class during the summer, and make sure you have enough time to focus just on this class! Rappoport himself is a great guy, but class is terrible. His voice is so low he has to speak on a mic, so class can be verrry boring. But, he is always willing to help if needed

Professor Rapport by far has been one the best professor I had since I started at FCCJ. He is very thorough and knowledgable. His homework was online but still took the time to explain and help you. He always have extra credit opportunities and is very involved with group work. If you want to learn and have fun, this is a professor to take.

Lectures well, uses powerpoints, tons of extra credit, missed 1 test and still made a B in the class. Uses "mathlab" online so don't buy book. Do the homework, used a 4x5 card with notes written on it for tests. Extra credit for no absences.Helpful if needed. Would take his class again.

I took his Liberal Arts Math Class online. He made the class easy. I am terrible at math and still made a 96 on my midterm.

Rapopport is a good teacher in general. Ask the questions and he will explain perfectly. He makes you understand the material well. Gives you points for trying and showing work on tests!! Great teacher

GOOD GOOD GUY. I cant believe he has low ratings. He is very pateint and really explains what you need to do. He is fair and and overall good professor. Take him, you wont regret it. He's not hard and he's really nice.

Take Him, Take Him, Take Him. He is a very cool guy. He is very lenient and gives you an extension once or twice in the semester. I got an A. Explains everything well and answers every question that you may have. I took his Hybrid class and loved it.

Had him as a hybrid. Extremely easy, I had missed several days and several homeworks and still passed.

I'm in his class now.He's a little goofy, but nevertheless, he's one of the best teachers I've really come across at FSCJ. I'm in the hybrid, so the syllabus isn't perfect, but he works with you. Regular homework, but you do groupwork. So many opportunities to make points on assignments. Worthwhile class. TAKE THIS TEACHER IF YOU CAN

Keep in mind I placed into Calc, so nice easy Algebra shouldve been snap- NO. Online, so MyMathLab.com & proctored exams only, but OMG theres a TON to do. Also only exactly typed answers count online- rounding sux. Plus side u get to take hw's over until 100% reached, cheat sheet allowed on proctored exams, prof easy to reach by email usually

Professor Rappaport is awesome! He is so friendly and helpful. Responds fast to emails and everything except the MidTerm and Final Exam are online!! Uses MyMathLab so you can do homework as many times as you would like to complete it with 100. It took me ALOT of time because stats is NOT easy but MyMathLab helpful as well! AWESOME TEACHER!

I took this class online, My Math lab was useful and you can do your homework over and over till you get 100%. The Mid Term and Final are the only time you show up to school and it's taken on a computer! He responds to emails quickly and is very helpful.

Easy B class. Homework is a bit easy but long and repetitive but it is easy 100s. Cheat sheet on test. Take home quizzes that you do in groups. Take this class!

He clearly explains his content each class and makes sure everyone understand the concept before moving on. Don't be afraid to ask questions in his class. Homework is online and fairly easy. There are at-home online quizzes on each chapter, at-home tests for each section, and a proctored online test per section as well. Just pay attention in class.

Very nice guy! I took this class online, Spring 2012. Very attentive, responds to emails and is very helpful. Tests are proctored, but a one-sided cheat sheet was allowed. Got a B in the class.

I took his class online. This online class would be great for a student that has Steven Hawking on his nook and does vector calculus just for fun! Over the 12 week class I spent about 140 hours doing homework and quizzes. Rappoport doesn't bother his students with useless discussion boards and allows the mighty ti-nspire CAS. I recommend him.

I took his 12 week online course. STATS online is HARD!!! He is an awesome Professor though. I recommend him! He will work with you as much as he can so that you pass. He does not make you do discussion boards. 1 sided cheat sheet for exams. Only two chances to take quizzes and unit exams. 1 chance at midterm and final. You do need to study!

Answered questions promptly and never seemed bothered to do so. Statistics in general is a tough topic requiring a lot of studying. Put in the effort and you will do fine.

I took this class because I love math, but it certainly isn't for you if you don't. Rappoport tries to be funny and the class is based off of his notes, not the book. Homework is on MyMathLab. He gives 3 tests. He hands out extra credit in class and on tests. His lectures were boring, but overall he was better than many teachers at FSCJ.

I like this professor, he's pretty comical, but when he teaches, he tries to make every problem as simple and as easy as he can, and if you don't understand anything, he'll take his time teaching you. He's also very sweet, and works with you no matter what it is. My satisfaction rating for him is above 100%.

Statistics isn't easy and you should know that it involves a LOT of word problems before you take the course. That being said, Professor Rapopport makes Stats so much easier because a calculator is used for almost everything. He is very helpful if you need extra help. You won't be given an A for no reason, you have to earn it. That's common sense.

Prof Rapporport was from what I could tell a very good professor. I took the class online so I didnt have much interaction with him besides through emails, but overall the class was not too difficult as long as your practice the homework and quiz problems and work in the study plan!! He is very responsive and helpful, even through email.

Homework is on MML, does not count for much of grade.Only 3-4 tests that make up entire grade.If you are happy with grade at end of course you don't have to take final.Otherwise, final will replace lowest test score. Attend class,he gives extra credit at the end of every class, goes towards your test.Must put the effort in, but an A is attainable.

I've been taking Calculus with the same teacher for two years. I just graduated high school this past summer of 2014, and got into Calc II after taking AP Calc AB. He is a great professor and hands out extra credit like crazy. Nothing is terribly hard, and he's so open to questions. Nice professor, absolutely amazing. He is retiring soon though.
