I have no idea how a person seemingly so intelligent, a Doctor, could be lacking in so much common sense. The classes are exactly taught from the text by power point, this is a math course, students need EXAMPLES. His exams load up with problems worded confusingly and never seen before. Horrible professor!Class average: 40!

Midterm average was a 46 while the other classes average was above 70. Could not give any useful info for the final because even 2 days before the final he had not seen it (final made by other prof due to number of complaints). midterms were not reasonable in length. gave no examples in class for practice and often made silly mistakes.

worst. prof. EVER. Honestly if you can avoid him do it. AT ALL COSTS. expects you to dedicate all your spare time to his course. He didn't use a textbook which was good...too bad he made us read over 600 pages of articles and then to journals on them. Presentations were a waste of time, I learned absolutely nothing in that course.

Useless. Prof reserved the last class for comments about the course and how it was taught, everyone in the class showed up, while the average attendance was 12/50 all year. Too much work for too few marks. Material was drier than a desert.

Worst prof ever! Every other class was learning access and excel, while his 2 classes were presenting on the history of info systems. Students pretty much taught the course, and gave no marks for attending class, yet wanted the class to participate in presentations when no one was there! Worst prof I ever had at MUN!

Do not understand how this man is still a professor. Not alowed to give tests! Only assignments - which are worth hardly any marks and are ton of work. He does know what he's talking about, but does not have the skills to communicate it to the class.

This prof is useless. Expectations were not clear for learning or for assignments. Groups were chosen at random which was an awful experience in itself and he is not interested in dealing with group issues. He asks for feedback/concerns about the course but does not take constructive criticism well. Avoid at all costs.

got mad nobody had the reading done 2nd class, lectures were ill-prepared and rambling. grades that weekly log really hard. my notes from class were bare jot notes, it was videos and discussions in small groups to teach each other the material. started the final exam 10 minutes earlier than supposed to, ended 10 mins early too, questioned someone

Just a horrendous prof, probably the worst in the faculty. Expectations are never clear, and marks extremely tough. Lectures are very disorganized and super boring.

AVOID at all costs! Class is mostly group work where you teach each other the material and he walks around in case you have questions but if you have a question his only response is "you tell me". Also if you ask what the course is about he just says "modelling the business process" as if thats not literally the name of the course.

Very unorganized and unsure of what he's teaching. I found the lectures unclear and shows lots of videos that are not relavent. The weekly reflections are often not about what happened in class. Overall he is a very unclear prof and I would definitely not recommended. If I had time back I would of switched into online slot with another prof.

The worst professor I have ever had. AVOID. This course is a second level business course and should NOT be this difficult. In fact it is not difficult WITH ANY OTHER PROF.

Awful lectures, awful assignments, super tough grader, incredibly strange grading scheme, plus what he wants on the assignments is unclear. His lectures were very poor, he barely explained the concepts, as if we knew what he was talking about, and then graded the assignments like we were all experts or something. Avoid this guy, my worst prof yet.

Not the worst teacher lectures wise. However, the evaluation of this course is beyond bizarre. Both the group and individual assignment are so long and broad that I've spent the majority of my semester on one course. Hardest marker I've ever encountered. Feel like I'm leaving an English course, not a business.

Worst professor I have ever had. His grading rubric makes no sense what so ever. I feel as though if I wrote the final on the first day of class, I would know as much as I do on the last day of classes. I would take this course at another University and transfer it over before taking it with this "professor" ever again.

His course was so bad I literally changed my major. Safe to say he is by far the worst prof in the faculty and more than likely the entire university. How he still has a teaching position is beyond me. Extremely unclear and difficult to learn from. Deserves an average rating of -5 but thats not an option on this site unfortunately.

Joerg is the main reason I left the faculty of business. If at all possible you should avoid him. He had very high expectations for a lower difficulty class, and used a lot of complicated tech to teach. If you're not tech savvy then he will make this course hell. He completely turned me away from business and I would advise to never ever take him.

He's a very tough grader and not clear when he teaches. The weekly reflections were graded very critically as were the other assignments.

The bottom line is avoid at all costs, I ignored the warnings on this site due to my schedule and regretted it significantly. Evermann is vague with both his lectures and answers to questions, and is the hardest marker that I have seen in the business faculty. Averages of both term papers and the final were low 50s. Do NOT take.

Simply bad at teaching. Poor at communicating. Deplorable overall, but I managed to survive and pull out a 60 something.

grading sceme is horrible, the topic of business process is nonsense and evermann is unbelievably horrible at teaching this content in ways for students to understand. ��

He is really good at what he's doing, but he is a horrible grader and his expectations are super high. There are 3 assignments, one of them is presentation and easier than other assignments. However first and third assignments were horrible. It takes forever to get only %60. I would suggest not taking this course until he's gone from the faculty.

Joerg is by far the worst professor, teacher, or instructor I have ever in countered. Avoid this professor at all costs, if this means you have to do a course over the summer or something else do that instead. He uses a terrible grading scheme that does not use graded average but somehow is still able to included in your GPA. Guy sucks.

This prof is one of the hardest I have ever came across. His exams contains much more than what he teaches in class. That is because his class average is usually 50% and he hates giving marks. I just want say to you Good luck if you take his course, because trust me when I say you will need that.

Joerg will make you throw up, either from the anxiety of trying to do well in his class or his constant odor of alcohol. I would sooner change faculties than redo this course if I failed. He is overall a terrible prof, but it is half funny when you think about how bad he was in retrospect.

This professor provides a a grading rubric to follow. Then promptly ignores every requirement for each aspect of the rubric. He ignores entire sections of essays in order to fit with his preconceived notions of what your grades "should be," instead of what they actually contain. Horrible professor. Would rather drop out then have him again.

Absolutely awful. Does not know how to teach and is a very hard grader. You have to read the book and learn it yourself. An assignment worth 20% of our grade had a 21% class average with only two people passing the assignment. Awful professor, stay clear.

The worst prof at MUN. Can't teach, can't grade. He is awful stay away if you want to succeed in Business 2710 and Business 3700 and not have a headache listening to him every day.

He doesn't know even 1 line of python. He leaves lots of assignments individually. marking is so tough. he doesn't support students. harsh behavior when it comes to grading time.

This professor barely cares about his students and his assignments were worth 65% but his grading is pretty harsh and requires documents as long as 30-35 pages in order to get an 80% and above. He graded us below 50% so that you study for finals but he is not helpful in teaching as he barely teaches online he expects us to study on our own. Avoid!!

i found out most of the class failed because he was such a poor teacher, assignment instructions were unclear and he was a harsh grader. The final was also awful and incredibly hard

He is one of the Worst Prof for Business Analytics course. Please AVOID AT ALL COST. NEVER REPLY TO EMAILS AT ALL. THE WHOLE CLASS FAILED HIS MIDTERM EXAM.

Personally don't recommend him at all for students looking to take this course. The content is written as if it was made from ChatGPT. The professor isn't easily accessible outside of the course, and he is probably the toughest grader I've ever had for a course seeing as the majority of the students failed their midterm. Avoid him if possible.

Joerg leaves much to be desired. The class average on the midterm was an outstanding 25%, and expected Business students, respectively, to write lines of code on paper. Despite the abundance of emails sent to Joerg from his students requesting lectures, he simply refused the idea and insisted we get AI tools to teach us instead!

Joerg does not provide tutorials, and only offered TA instructed tutorials after dozens of students complained post midterm, which had a class average of 24, with 3/63 students passing. Not to mention in the “tutorials” the TA had to use chat gpt to learn half the sample questions to even try to teach the material. Worst course I've ever taken.

He knows Computer Science well, but is unforgiving with how he assesses the content he provided. This course is very complex and technical for business students, and the relevance is questionable for business careers. After repeated pleas to reasonably accommodate the class, he refused and now the class must suffer.

Dr. Evermann created the textbook for this course, which suffers from severe content and pacing issues. He has 21 modules covering two per week, such as two advanced ML topics a week, which is insane, considering the level of depth is typically taught at a graduate level. He has the role of a data scientist and business analyst, highly mismatched.

Average for the Midterm was 24%, and it seems that it won't be far from that in the final exam as well. Joerg seems like a great and funny person outside his work. But it seems that he does not understand how to set the difficulty of his exams - and this could be that he hasn't been a student himself for a while. He would've been great.

most of my class failed and I ended up dropping the course and doing it with another prof who was so much better. He is knowledgeable but has no clue how to teach. The prof is not only rude but I noticed that when selecting groups, he put all the students who are minorities or had handicaps together. He makes his lectures purposefully and takes himself too seriously. Avoid at all costs.
