Dr. Q genuinely cares about the students, this is quite evident in his actions. Grading criteria is clear. The feed back he gave me was most helpful. Turn everything in on time and take your drafts to his office for feedback and you will do well. plenty of extra credit opportunity. This Professor is respectful and respected!! Best I've taken.

I took Professor Quijano during Summer I, his class was great. No complaints whatsoever. He is extremely knowledgeable and always available to help. There is an essay due very week but the rubric is very clear. It can be a lot of work but that is expected in a summer course. Highly recommend his class.

He's very smart and knows what he talks about. He is also a game freak and loves anime as well. Three major papers but he gives you a guideline and he tries his best to give you feedback if your willing to put effort. Took him for both Comp 1 and Comp 2. Easy A

It was a heavy class but I guess bc is Comp I. He's actually funny sometimes and he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities! I kinda freak out on my grade throughout the semester because of his way of grading/scale system but I was doing well apparently. Kinda genius because he gets students to do every extra credit he gives haha

The assignments are heavy, but he does seem to try and provide as much help as he can. If you have other project/paper heavy courses, it WILL overwhelm you. So many extra credit opportunities, though. A little awkward to talk to one-on-one, but overall harmless.

I loved all the pop culture references, you can tell hes passionate of what hes doing (although he gets confusing). The class could be confusing at times when figuring out assignments and grading criteria, but it seems like it youll be difficult to fail. 10/10 respect

His lectures are boring sometimes but they're usually good and he makes jokes and breaks them with questions and activities. You have to write a lot but he gives time for revisions and is always helpful. He also gives a lot of opportunities.

Best professor ever! Super easy A. There is a lot to write but this is a college level course so it is expected to have long assignments. I took this class for summer I and it was the easiest class I've taken. Totally recommended! Just stay on top of your work and you will have plenty of free time. There is so much extra credit.

There's no reason to not get an A. If you turn in a bad paper he'll tell you what to change and how to fix it. If you do the work it's an easy A, and he lets you write about whatever you want.

He has us write a lot but we also do a bunch of group projects and he always has us speak during the lectures. We just took the final and it was a bunch of games and stuff. He was the best prof this semester

Dr. Q is great. I took his Engl. Comp I class online & struggled to keep up with assignments, but when I communicated with Dr. Q, he had mercy & extended my due dates! He has allowed me more extra time than any professor I've had. Don't expect instant replies to emails or quick grading, but it's worth it because of how understanding he is.

I loved this professor. I took his online English 1302 course and it was SO easy! If you do the work and do it well you will make an A. Also, he response very quickly to e-mails and gives you plenty of time before you have to turn in your assignment.

Took as a Wintermester class and really happy I did that. Professor Q grades super quickly, replies fast, and all the assignments are super easy. Grades are cumulative, so every assignment is worth a different value, 700-c, 800-B, 900-A. Once you reach your desired grade you don't have to do any more assignments.

I love Professors Quijano. Took him for 1301 as well. No stress as long as you turn in your work youll get a good grade. Material was interesting too!

Professor Quijano was awesome. Im very bad at essays but still looked forward to his class he was very clear on assignments and didnt give hard work. Always easy extra credit opportunities for reading something or knowing certain things.

He gave us the normal technical writing work but also had us work in a semester long project to set up a company. We had to come up with a product then promote it and make a website.

Its a writing class so I had to do a lot of writing. He made us do 4 big papers and like 20 short ones. But he lets us choose the topic and his lectures are fun. He always asks for students to answer. Other profos just talk. Q looks like he cares. I also like that he gives class periods to just write.

You choose a topic you want, then write 4 big essays on it. You also have to write a bunch of little essays. He always answers your email and always helps you.

He gives us a lot of documents to write and a big group project where we launch a company. The project was really fun.

Mr. Quijano class is super fun! The essays are easy and he offers a lot of help! He gives extra credit if you go to the writing center and school events!

Hes a cool teacher ! Def recommend for you to take. He does give several assignments but nothing to hard just do them & youll pass . Hes not a heavy grader & gives feedback ! You have a cool project at the end of the semester. Do the work & youll pass !!!!! Easy Grade !

The professor himself is particularly engaging. While I do not mean to embellish, I sometimes find his intelligence shines so bright it is almost blinding. He couples his vast knowledge of the subject with a likable humbleness which makes him both informative and approachable. Very great professor. Would take him again a thousand times :)

Took him for comp 1. Honestly a great teacher! For every assignment he always had a follow guide and a rubric to make assignments easier and understandable! Definitely take notes when he goes through the power points just to have that extra information. He does give LOTS of extra credit! Would definitely take again!

I took Professor Q this semester online. He made everything self paced and due last day of semester which is amazing for students who work and have a ton of other stress already. Some of the assignments are a little tricky, but anytime I had trouble he was easy to reach and was so willing to help out. Such a great professor!!!!

I took his class online and it was the only one self paced so I appreciate that. I can go to work and then do the class on my own time. He always gave me feedback when I asked him to help with my big essays before submitting them.

The class was cool. My last english prof. just posted things for us to read and the forums. Q posted lectures and videos and had live office hours.

Mr. Q is great! He made the whole class available from the start and let us work on our own pace, so we didn't have to rush with deadlines or anything like that. He's super encouraging too.

This class was an eye-opener for me. I always been a reader, but now I feel like I can be a writer too. I feel like I can put out my stories that only I can write and they can be good enough for readers to enjoy.

He's a wonderful professor and I thoroughly enjoyed his class.

Professor Quijano is easily the most likable professor I've had at TCC. He answers emails promptly and offers help anytime you need it! You don;t need the book - he provides PDFs needed. He released all the coursework upfront so you can pace yourself. I wish I'd had him for ENGL1301! I normally hate English, but he made it fun and effortless!

I never had to contact him for anything but he's great! 900 points for an A. One lesson a week with each lesson averaging about 70 points. (70 x 16 weeks 1120). That's a 220 point buffer in case you don't get a 100% on all assignments. Lessons are generally easy, you should be able to get it all done in half a day. No reason not to get an A!

Professor Q is awesome! First of all he is responsive which is hard to come by these days. If I sent him an email he was quick to respond and also made sure to provide insightful information to any of my questions. He also allowed us to work at our own pace providing all assignments upfront! No hard tests or quizzes. Do your work and you get an A!

Theres 16 lessons each have discussion posts and lessons and most have an essay he doesnt take off credit for late work so you can do it whenever easy grader I did 12 lessons 3 days before the end of the semester and got an A, he grades by points 700 to pass, theres a lot of work but extremely easy to pass as long as you do a Lil more than half

If you are a student who is going to work and balance 12-15 credit hours in a semester I 100% recommend taking his class. The class is self-paced with no mandatory due dates. He does at really good job at selecting interesting stories, and poems that develop good class discussion. Most importantly he is straight to the point with his instruction.

I took for english 1301 and 1302. His class is really easy. Just do the work and you pass. 1302 is a self-paced course.

I loved this class. If you do the work you will pass Im taking two more classes this summer with this professor ����He is great wont regret it.

This is seriously the easiest class I have ever taken. He is very laid back & I really loved that he let everyone go at their own pace. If you don't pass this class, its because you didn't even try. Extra credit is super easy and offered multiple times! I would totally take him again!

He is a very flexible professor. He will help you if you need it. The grading is not at all awful, if you do it then you'll pass. He is not strict on homework, but if you don't do it you will fail. Lessons and assignments are not hard, they are actually interesting stories. I would definitely take him again if I could.

I would 100% recommend this professor for this course. I took him in Spring 2021 and it was the first time I got a 100 on an essay of mine. You do have to work for your grade but the course load is manageable. Extra credit opportunities are there if you need them. Essays aren't too difficult to write. Definitely sign up for his class.

He was super understanding with us. He was always willing to meet with me on zoom even outside of his normal office hours. If you just email him he'll help you get it.

Took this online as a summer course and it was great. Definitely recommend professor Quijano. Grades once a week and gives clear instructions. Several papers to write but not difficult at all. Good at responding. As long as you participate youre good.

Dr. Quijano's feedback is so amazing. He replies quickly via Canvas. He explains in a very clear way methods to make our papers better. He makes lectures really interesting as he applies things of our interest as examples, as well as he relates his lectures to our daily life. He offers a lot of extra credit papers.

Dr.Q's class was an easy A! He is very lenient with the due dates, had one midterm and no final. Offers a lot of extra credit. Attendance is not mandatory, but it would be best to show up for participation points. Highly highly recommend taking this professor, I do not understand the negative reviews he has. Take him!!!!

A lot of short assignments and four major papers, but the due dates don't matter. He doesn't take points off if you turn in an assignment late. You should be good if you turn in everything by the last day of school. Since he's not strict on due dates, try not to procrastinate! work does pile up if you don't hold yourself accountable.

Dr. Q is an amazing professor & his lectures are great! I took a liking to him more specifically because of his interesting view of literature. The workload may seem a lot to some and it can be, but he is very flexible as long as you let him know you have something going on. I enjoyed him this semester! 10/10.

Cancels class alot including if his 16 year old son gets sick. Never on time for class. Slow to grade. Weekly homework and does not extend out due date if class is missed or cancelled by him. Only good things were only one of the two scheduled days attendance is mandatory. Assigns in class group work.

I took Professor Quijano's Comp 1301 class for the Maymester. It lasted two weeks, he opened the course early since 15 modules was a lot in two weeks. He responds to emails within a day at the latest, his responses are quick and straight to the point. He grades fairly and according to the rubric; as long as you try, you will have no problems!

Lots of assignment but easy grader. Took online summer course. Get ready to write some essays and db.

I enjoyed this professor. Much more than I've anticipated. I took his summer class for ENGL-1302, and he kept the class from being overwhelming. For my class, he graded it based on points where you can miss one of the 5 major papers he assigns and still be able to get an A. Highly recommend taking him for anyone wanting to do ENGL-1302

He answers your questions politely and guide you to do your assignments.

I am taking him for Wintermester, and so far, so good I have a 100% pretty much all the assignments are completion grades except the essays. He gives 100s for everything else if you should do the work and do turn it in for the assignments just the final drafts for the essays which is like 4 total. I will probably make an A+. Take for short class!!!

Super easy Wintermester class if u follow the ruberic he gives u a 100% on all 4 essays and everything else is basically just completion grades I passed the class with a 99% easiest class ever I was able to enjoy break and also do this class 10/10 rec doesn't take up 2 much time and all the stuff is open so you can finish faster if u want.

Took the online course and yes his lessons and syllabus were copy pasted, and no there wasn't feedback, but I got a 100 on everything. At the end of the day, I attend TCC, that's all I need!! Submitted stuff a month late and STILL got a 100. Work was super easy, lessons were easy to follow, and I learned a lot. 100/10 prof would take again!!!

Discussion post due every Friday , 3 essays , final (super easy) you can easily get an A in this class.
