i had him when i was in high school and i didn't speak english. he helped me alot and he's a really nice teacher. THANK YOU!

This teacher rocks. He understands students and is a fairly easy grader. He makes you read alot, but always has a good joke to fallow up with the reading.

Mr. Albert is a good teacher. He is very laid back and for teaching english, is able to keep the class from getting boring. He's a little tough on grading essays but lets you redo them until you get your desired grade. I definately recommend him!

Albert is the man, he makes everything understandable, and makes the whole class participate and gets them talking about the topic at hand. he likes to joke around and tell his lame stories to keep you from falling asleep, i'm taking him for 101 next semester

Best teacher i have ever had, plain and simple. Albert makes any english class fun and easy. he relates to the college age group, and if you dont get along with him and find his class easy as far as english goes....you're a weirdo

albert is awsome. i had him in highschool and now for 101. he likes when the class talks and gets into conversations and debates. as long as you work hard and show improvement and participate, you should get an A or B in the class.

Albert rocks. I had him in high school and when i saw he was teaching at COC i had to take him. He gives you creative freedom with your essays and his tests are super easy. He's fun and relates to the students. He likes to bring up controversial topics and gets you thinking.

You know how English classes can be such a drag? Well, not with this professor! He makes essay readings fun and I don't know how he does it! I got an easy A on his class pretty much just for writing a few essays and showing up for class. We even got to talk him out of cancelling a few class sessions!

I enjoyed his class. He makes the students welcome. He is very down to earth, but pushes his students to achieve their goals.

had him in highschool Canyon football babyy well he kicks ass, and he makes class worth goin to, english is not a fun subject but he makes the students interact w/one another and very down to earth type of guy, loves to joke around and get a laugh out'a anything..

Albert is so cool and very funny. He makes class a lot of fun and very interesting. He is the only English professor that has kept me awake for a longer period of time. I would say that he is very easy to get an A in. He's not hard at all. Albert is the man!!

overall a great teacher. since i took his class in the summer, it was very fast. only had four essays to write and no test. there was a lot of reading. he also likes to joke around with students so don't take anything to personal.

Albert is Halarious. Keeps the class interesting with jokes and relating the material to everyday life. I defently reccomend.

Comes across as a normal guy, but is knowledgable on a variety of subjects and interacts well with students. Really reccomend!

i really enjoy his lectures...he explains things very well & makes me think. the way he explains a story in the book is the most interesting, you can also relate to the topics of class making it that much interesting. very nice, outgoing, funny teacher.

This teacher is so stupid. He half way reads your essays and expects you to finish them without his help. He wanted one paragraph in the essay with three topics and then tells me that i went off topic. He doesnt know what he is talking about.

Best teacher. I waited until the last minute to take Eng. because I hate the subject and I truly learned a lot from him. Made taking 101 even less painful because I used all his tips. He keeps the class laughing while teaching at the same time. His grading is fair and final is not stressful.

If you have no sence of hummor dont take his class he will make fun of you. Great over all teacher makes class fun. And i learned alot! Stress free!!Will go off subject but if you stay on topic than so will he.

An awesome teacher. Good with students and strong on his lectures. Has a habit of getting side-tracked on tangents, and spends a lot of time discussing the concepts and not the reading material. Only four essays req'd but he runs out of time and just does in-class essays. Of the four I only had to do two.

This professor was the most interesting I have ever had. Allowed students to redo work for a higher grade. With a little effort everyone in his class can get an A.

He's a real cool guy. The type of guy you would wanna go out for beers with. Show up and you'll get a good grade but he won't help your writing get much better.

The best teacher for English! I hate this subject but he made it fun and it was an easy class to take over the summer. He is a funny guy, gets a little off topic but he will help you any way he can and interact during his discussions because he likes feedback. I would recommend him!!! I got an A in his class.

Mr. Albert is the BEST professor you can take for English. He is VERY clear with explaining things and because of him I'm able to still write excellent essays. I left his class with a lot of knowledge. He provides a lot of ways to revise your essay until it is flawless. I suggest volunteering ur essay for critique to expedite that good grade.

Take the PAL Eng 96 & Eng 101 course. Easy & so worth it! Albert is a chill and easy going teacher as long as you attend class and do all your work. You learn many things whether off topic or not. Although, the course is short, fast pace, and loaded with essays every other week. Take the class seriously and surely it'll be an easy A+!

If you're afraid of contractive criticism do not take this class. He's blunt with the students, the truth hurts. You can tell he teaches English passion. He coaches English more so than teach it. He does a good job teaching for the most part. I learned a lot. It's definitely passable. WARNING! He does not take kindly to people showing up late.

Professor Albert is an easy teacher. Its just a lot of class discussions and a few essays. There is small writing assignments due almost every single class and there is a lot of reading but you aren't tested on it, its more for group discussions. There is also in class assignments every class. The class is super boring but its an easy A. He's nice

John Albert is dedicated and willing to help students who put the effort into his class. As long as you get the work done, this class is super easy and he has a friendly and open attitude. The assignments are easy and he normally allows you to pick your essay topic, which is great. Give him respect, and he will return it.

Albert is very calm and this class is ALL discussions, dont be afraid of this because all you do is read from a book and then next day as a group talk about the projects. ALOT OF GROUP projects so if you are shy get ready to talk to people. But seriously this is an EASY A. Very inspiring professor but doesn't give a lot of feedback.

Always has a positive attitude! He definitely makes you work for your grade, however not too hard to where it's impossible. Lots of in class work and occasional homework. Four essays in total but they do acquire hard work. But if you don't like the grade received you can retype the essays as many times as it takes until you like the grade.

Assignments are overall easy, as long as you stick to what he wants you'll easily pass his class. He's very funny and does understand how it feels to be a college student so he tries to make the class fun which works.

John was a good teacher, lots of essays and lots of reading plus group work so make sure you have your book with you for every class, and do the reading assignments to stay on top of the lectures. I only wish I could've learned a bit more than I actually did but overall he's an easy going guy which helps get through the class.

albert is seriously the best! i know him outside of class so i figured taking him would be a good choice and i was not wrong! there is some work but he's an easy grader. completion is key. he gives you a chance to redo papers at the end of the semester for more credit. definitely take him!

Great teacher, took him short term and was stressful because of other classes but over all hes a really cool teacher, understandable and flex-able. I would take him again.

Good professor sets clear standards has good insightful lectures and is there to help you understand, Took for 101 and 103 enjoyed his class would recommend also be prepared to read but it helps make his class go by faster

John is a chill guy. The class itself isn't that hard, do everything that needs to be done and tbh you'll get a good grade. There are journals and it has to have a page, no longer than that. There are only four essays, if you HAVE to take this class I recommend John. Easy and you dont have to stress.

Mr. Albert offers a solid ENG101 course with minimal effort-- as long as you already have a solid foundation in essay writing. Only 4 essays total, and he offers very clear prompts on what he wants you to write about. Many discussion boards but they are simple. I would take his class again for sure.

As a starting English 101 class, it was a bit over the top. His grading was VERY strict, and gave ALOTTT of extra assignment to do. This was a SUMMER CLASS though, so the crammed essays and homework can be result of that.

Overall is a great professor who usually has a journal and one or more assignments due a week. If an essay is due that week he usually does not give you any other assignments. lots of assignments but grades very generously. Only four essays during the whole class.

This class was so unbelievably easy for me. Just listen to what he wants for the essays and assignments and you will get an easy A. He does talk ALOT during classes but I didnt mind, he is a nice guy and just likes to be social. There is a lot of reading but it is super easy and pretty light weight. He is not the best communicator tho-

Prof. Albert was just the sweetest! It's a lot of writing, but he's super understanding and I really felt like I grew as a writer in my semester with him. Definitely feel more prepared for the next level of English!

If you are taking English 101 or 103: You must take classes from Professor Albert. Attend and you will pass. TAKE his CLASSES!!!

Probably, one of the best teaches I have had in my college experience. If you are lucky to get into his class, congratulations!!! I may be getting a solid C, but that is on me. I took a winter intersession class and worked full time, I feel like I could've aced everything if I had more time. A professor that cares about your effort! AMAZING! 100/10

Professor Albert has been my favorite professor through my college experience! He truly cares for his students, is very kind, helpful, and encourages students to participate. The assignments are not difficult as long as you pay attention and ask sufficient questions.

Professor Albert is amazing, he is very caring and understanding. He is very easy to get a hold of after hours, and his workload is not crazy. Everything he assigns is about the readings. He will do the impossible to help you understand the material, and pass with flying colors. Totally recommend him! For 101 and 103!

Professor Albert has been a pleasure to communicate with throughout my time with him. He is very understanding and sincere with his words. Will do as he can to help you! The frequent assignments are not difficult as long as you pay attention and keep involved. It's very evident that he wants his students to succeed!

Easiest english class ever. The professor is not a tough grader nor does he assign a lot of work (for a 5 week course). Take this class if you need to just get the GE credits done without much effort, but there are probably more engaging professors out there that will make you actually appreciate the subject.

I love Prof. Albert John, he was actually one of the sweetest teachers and would care about his students mental well being before an essay. He was able to be easily reached outside of class. Compared to the other English teachers at COC, I would totally recommend him to anyone. I will glaze John Albert to the fullest cuz he was a king >.<

This professor is honestly easy to pass. However just make sure you are doing all the work. He is soo caring and understanding. He will make sure that you pass the class with a C. He will help you no matter what, but it's your job to communicate with him first. English is not my 1st language, he is a goat for helping me. Take him!!!!

Professor Albert is amazing! He does assign a lot of homework but it is expected for an online class. Prepare for your essays because the due dates will sneak up on you. Plan accordingly and put a lot of effort into your work. He is a tough grader but it will make you a better reader and writer.

I'm not sure why Prof Albert has bad reviews, I truly don't think these individuals were prepared to move on from engl 101 to 103. Work is doable, what he wants from you is very clear. He has examples to go by for essays. Only con, I'd say; not tech savvy. He made this up to me, though. Communicate w/ your teachers! It's your grade.

Prof. Albert may be a bit disorganized, but he's a caring instructor who wants students to succeed. The assignments aren't too tough if you stay engaged. unstuck study was a lifesaver for staying on top of things in this class.

At the time of taking his class, I thought he was an awful teacher. Once I had finished his class, I had realized how much I had actually learned from his class. He will be tough on you, sure. But if you are truly willing to do what it takes to go through his class, you will actually see an improvement in your comprehension and literature skills.

Some weeks you have 1 assignment and others you have 4 assignments plus an essay, but once you get past this John Albert is an all around good teacher. The class is set up to ensure that you succeed and you are given more than enough time to complete the major essays and readings. You will feel lost at the beginning of the semester but it works.
