Very good teacher. Very thorough! Don't take as a mini-mester because there is a LOT of stuff to read, memorize, and understand.
Be ready to work. Going to put in much time studying. If you are willing to work take him. If not keep on cruising down the register line
Very smart, but a hard class.
hard to understand
Very hard class! He is an extremely smart guy though! Definitely knows his stuff.
also had for biol 1612...he is very tough, but you feel great when you have finished the course and passed
You'll need to pull all-nighters for this teacher but you leave the class with a world of knowledge. Great guy.
Very unorganized and tests you on things you may or may not have gone over in class. He has a big ego and thinks the students are already in Med School. DO NOT TAKE! The class average is usually a C. No hard feelings, but he needs to tone it down.
If you don't have him for lecture and take him only for lab. U will be lost. he assume you know everything. It's hard and U sit around N class wondering what U R suppose to DO. Very hard!
Ridiculously hard. I agree he has an ego complex. Will test you on things that you have already tested over and not tell you about it. Is not interested in helping his students. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!
Dr. Aliff........he is a nice person, but an extremely, rxtremely hard teacher....... his tests are so hard, he doesn;t really explain everything all that much.. he just talks to you as if you know every single thing that is written in that book.
Disorganized teacher. Brilliant man. A tremendous amount of information given and work needed to do well in this class. You must know every detail because the tests are not general but specific. No telling what he will ask.
All I can say is that he is the best teacher I have ever had. Very smart. You will learn everthing you need to know for the nursing program.
Had this professor for both A&P I and II Lectures. Knows a lot, but tests are very hard. However, if you take his classes, and do well on his tests which are challenging, you will do very well in Nursing School. Worth your time.
Aliff was challenging, but my learning experience was tremendous. He prepared me for the next level of education better than I could ever dream of. I got an A!
He doesn't want to explain things after class. he is knowledgeable. he knows his stuff, but to me he doesn't do good job explaining things. if you make a "C" in his class count yourself smart.
Good guy, the best Anatomy instructor.
he acts as if the students already know the material. His tests are very hard. I would not recommend him because half of our class had to drop.
I was very nervous about taking his class. He is a very smart man and he challenges his students. A&P is a difficult class reguardless of who the teacher is. As long as you take good notes and pay attention in class you'll do fine. USE HIS STUDY GUIDES.
Very easy teacher! Not hard to get an A in his class.
Not too hard to follow his material cause he gives you a nice study guide. The work is moderate, and you really learn alot from his class. Wonderful guy. Would recomend to anyone that needs an Anatomy class.
Pick him if you want an understanding of the human body!!!!!!!!
He is very intelligent, yet funny during his lectures.
If he were just younger! Great prof!
I loved Professsor Aliff! He's so helpful and has all of his notes on-line, so you know exactly what to study for the test. He gave us 3 tries for extra credit. I would reccomend him to anyone. He's a lot easier than Morales, whom I have now for Biol II. Aliff knows his stuff and iss brilliant.
Yes, the man knows his stuff..he is very intelligent But his class is HARD. I'm no genius but I have always had the ability to understand something if I tried. I felt his notes were hard to follow and his tests outrageous. very bad experience. If you have any problems understanding bio, beware
I love Dr. Aliff! The class is a very hard class, but he makes it very interesting and he is willing to help you. I feel like I learned a great deal from him and understand a little too much about the human body.
Great teacher!
Dr. Aliff knows more than any professor on the campus. Just talk to him and you will learn alot about anything. Good teacher, funny sense of humor with a mad scientist demeaner. Take him and you will have fun while working hard.
Don't take online. Tests are very hard and when I went for help he pretty much blew me off. Good assignments thought.
If you take this class online do one thing first. READ the course very carefully and be sure to pay attention to everything that is in it and you will do fine.Do not expect that just because it is online it is easy. It takes a lot of work but you will learn from Dr. Aliff. He is a great teacher.
Extremely well organized material, just read his notes and do the extra credit assignments and there will be no suprises when it comes to tests. A true asset to students!
This guy is a jerk. He's not helpful. Instructions are very unclear and difficult to follow. Knowing how to use a computer is not enough. You need to be an expert for this guy. Very anal retentive.
I am taking Dr. Aliff's course now, and I feel that he is a VERY impressive teacher! I love how fast he returns e-mails and grades assignments. The class is tough because he wants you to learn! I recommend him to anyone that wants to learn science!!!!!
whatever you do, dont take the hybrid course. He is VERY hard. only 5 people were left at the end of the semester. He treats you like you know it all. BEWARE
Great professor. If you are really want to learn how the human body works take his class. If you follow the directions and do the assignments on time, you will not have any problems. Tons of extra credit opportunity.
I took the online A&P, it is time consuming, so be sure you have time to do the assignments, and study hard. The tests are hard and he doesn't give you a guide for them. He does give xtra credit, and grades fast. Don't take the online class if your not disciplined.
Dr. Aliff is a very difficult teacher because he is not straight forward and you never know what to expect. He will tell you a test is over certain chapters and then only add or remove chapters without your knowledge. Does give extra credit, but not nearly enough to actually help out. If you want to fully learn this material do not take him!
He's not very clear. Treats you as if you were already an M.D.Don not take him..you will fail

He most definately is the most anal, unhelpful, and most unclear teacher I have ever dealt with. I wish I would have seen this site before enrolling in this class. He acts as if you are supposed to know everything, even has the nerve to act like he's aggravated when you have to ask him a question. I've never encountered anything like this before!
He is a good teacher but he is not always clear as to what he wants done.In my opinion,he is not as clear as he should. However,he has a good command of the subject matter.
He was one of the most difficult teachers to deal with. His style of teaching wasn't very helpful in learning the basic structures of A&P. He gives from 10-60 pgs of his own notes along with the book and his study guides aren't very helpful due to him placing other materials on tests. He also doesn't like to respond to questions about the material.
He was a very hard teacher. Always thinking that whatever he said was the right way and the only way.
TERRIBLE! VERY unhelpful, unorganized w/test material, papers, etc. Material studied not on quizzes, tests.Does not want to answer questions online or in person...had I known!!!!!!!
TEST AND NOTES WERE NOT THE SAME.HE WAS UNCLEAR ON INSTRUCTIONS. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!
horrible teacher- waste of tuition money. took him for an online class, and when you emailed him questions his answers didn't even make sense.
Avoid at all costs. Replies to lenghty in depth emails with one word answers. no compassion for students. knows his stuff and expects everyone to take this subject as serious as he does...and he graduated years early with a doctorate just to calibrate it for you.
This is a class designed for independent students. DO NOT TAKE IT UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO STUDY ALL THE TIME ON YOUR OWN. There isn't much guidance, just know everything in the book. He does give extra credit though. Read everything available to you and follow the CD carefully.
The worst insructor i have ever hard in my life. if you value your grade don't take him. You will find youself studying so hard for this class and still will not make good grade. he is very unhelpful and deosn't care if you understand what he is teaching or not.
HORRIBLE! Ruined my GPA that I've been working very hard to improve. I'm a non-traditional student and have never worked with another adult quite like this! Do not take!!!!!!
Very disorganized! Emailed at end of semester for missing assignments that had been graded long before! Do Not Take online ENVS 1401 with Dr. A if you want to keep you wits about you! This class was horrible!!
He is very informative and precise with his lectures. He is very hard with his tests and doesn't inform you of what to study on the test. You are required to study everything and he only test on a few. He is a good professor, but I think he needs to retire. He's kinda gotten a little grumpy and doesn't want to help you as much.
Professor Aliff is very vague with his directions, and if you ask him for help on something you don't understand on an assignment he will tell you to refer to the syllabus. He is very unhelpful. I took the online course and he wants you to study from his online book and the textbook, which made it hard to study.
I love this website because it really does help you with selecting good professors. Unfortunately, Mr. Aliff is one of those that you should definately steer clear of especially for online classes. Not only was his website very unclear... I was having trouble with a chapter and asked for him for suggestions... He told me to go back to high school
Very hard teacher. I took A&P I&II four years ago both over the summer half-semester. Very rigorous. He teaches as if you're a PhD student using technical terms and gives you class notes that's as thick as the book that don't help much. He is not very helpful and gets very excited over cat dissection! Very knowledgeable though.
Great class. Great field trip. Wrote one text and gives online study guides. Study them and get an A!
Warning - do not take lab unless you are also in Aliff's lecture. He always has question on his lab test from the material discussed in his lecture. How unfare is that? Don't do it!!!
Very hard class!!! Do not take the online class unless you want to fail! His quizzes are timed and there is no way you can finish all the questions in the time you are given. Plus, the questions he ask are things that are not even important and you would not think to study. There is no way you can memorize every detail like he expects.
Dr. Aliff is a great professor, and he is very knowledgeable. His class is tough, but he offers different types of extra credit. I am currently taking him for 1612, and he is just as good of a professor. If you want to learn something, you should definitely take him.
He was very difficult. I had to drop his class so that I wouldn't mess up my GPA. His tests and quizzes are over stuff that you didn't even go over. He is very vague in directions for assignments. I'll never take him again.
I took Aliff for BIOL 1611 online. His assignments are very vague, and he does not seem to have a grasp of the medium (Internet). However, he is very knowledgeable AND understanding. Despite a bunch of late assignments and bad quiz grades, he gave me a B in the class. So, it's hard, but he does curve. I am taking 1612, and he's easier the 2nd time.
over half of my class dropped out...
Not a course for people that can't read. Emphasizes understanding rather than memorization. Case studies very useful for Nursing school. Test questions come from study guides.
very hard course, his study guides not helpful. Do not take online. Linda Gresham at West Central Technical College in Douglasville Georgia, great teacher!!! Took 1611 and 1612 made a "B" hardly studied, she gave powerpoints and told what you needed to know for the tests. David Cox at GPC Dunwoody campus, awesome teacher for Microbiology 1613.
DO NOT TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR!! I was registered for an online course with this professor and I had to drop this class because I could not follow him AT ALL! He is very disorganized, very hard to follow, not helpful at all, and very vague with instructions. I would not recommend.
I took this class as a half semester. I truly believe he wants you to do good. He gives you plenty of work to better your grade. It's just that his lecture is very confusing at times and sometimes his test questions don't comply with what you study. Don't wait until the last minute to study.
his class is really hard.his notes don't make any sense sometimes.you will definately have a headach after every quize you took.that's how bad his tests are.there is 3 study case and coloring book,"required" extra credit assig.final is better than the quizzes.just read the previous qizzes you took.he curves grades, respond to e-mails very quickly.
Just got done with online class. Was planning on leaving him a good review, yet my opinion changed after he MISTAKENLY reported my grade to be an F. Took 2 days to finally reach him after infinite calls, only to get a short e-mail saying "Changed ur grade, sorry don't know how it happened". Caused a perpetual semester-long headache. Not worth it.
Tough, but knows his material. Great for pre medicine. Quick response to mails. Simple and direct responses.
I took 1611 and 1612 online, Awesome teacher! Very smart, emphasis is DEF on comprehension NOT memorization, which helps prepare u. Case studies relate to real world and if u follow his outlines you will do fine. Got perfect scores on the case studies, and he gives extra work to help your grade. Very very very good teacher!
Best course I have ever taken. I hope Dr. Aliff never retires. His level of knowlegde is masterful. His course content is amazing.
This is not an "easy A" class so dont expect to get a good grade without any effort. If you go to class and pay attention and ACTUALLY STUDY you will do fine. He give tons of extra credit and is VERY knowledgeable. One of the best teachers i have had in college. If you cant pass his class you dont need to bother with nursing school! He Rocks!
Dr. Aliff is not interested in helping students learn, he treats you as if you should know the work already. He is sarcastic when you ask him to clarify himself. incomprehensive and vague quizzes, only 3 extra credit grades. you are on your own. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU WANT TO LEARN AND PASS. HIS CLASS WILL MESS UP YOUR GPA
He is a nice guy but a difficult teacher to understand.Quizzes are hard to understand too. Some extra credit given. But i don't know how i passed his class cause i didn't learn a thing. Very smart man but doesn't have the patience to teach so that you will understand. Quizzes are major part of grade. DON'T TAKE!
I took his 1612 online. I am a straight A student and this guy is impossible. His goal seems not to teach you anything but to totally trip you up. His tests are insanely hard.
This class requires alot of ur time.Quizzes are very hard, but on the flip side the he gives lots of extra credit came out of the class with a B
Online very rough - avoid
All prior comments are correct. One is not able to learn anything, too much time used for case studies--ahaa and cd assignments.Never on board if he recieved or even graded your assignments when he for sure did so.Am a science A student but this class racked GPA. IT's your choice. It is worth driving and spend your gass to go traditional.THINK TWICE!
Only 3 cd extra credit assignments which do not weigh more than 5 pts if you get that much for each one. So its not worth it! Quizzes, incomprehensive! and they are majority of your grade, 3 case studies, fair! Final is alright just relate back to quizzes as a study guide. Overall i wouldn't recommend him at all, he'll ruin your GPA
I took Dr. Aliff when I decided to go into nursing school. He seemed SO HARD at the beginning, but I did get an A,and TON on KNOWLEDGE. Case studies, cd, tests all are very useful, you will learn alot, and Dr. Aliff is very fair! I wish he published a book from his Aliff&Aliff! Definetely recommend to everyone who is serious about his/hers studies
Dr. Alif is one of the best! He is very knowledgeable. Expect to be challenged. I have been told that students who excel in his class go on to do great things. Dr. Alif is a "gate keeper" for high quality health care.
High standards, very professional and encouraging.
Aliff has worked hard to make this a thorough course. With lives in my hand now, I feel well prepared.
Very degrading. He talks down to his students via email. Tests are very confusing and he offers no help.
His online class is not easy, but you learn alot if you use all the tools he gives you. I am in the nursing program, and I have not had to crack open my A&P text since I took the class. If you want an easy "skate" class, this is not it. If you want to learn for future use, take Dr. A!
I took 1612online and regret it.The tests are horrible and until the end, I didn't get his 'teaching' style.Rather uncommunicable and unresponsive. His online 'book' is a mess, supposed ti be a study guide, but has noth. to do with the tests.I regret taking him.I can go on and on about his teaching flaws - bottom line is, take somebody else if poss.
Dr. Aliff is a great instructor! He is kind and helpful, not to mention brilliant! His course teaches students to apply the concepts of the class and not just memorize and regurgitate textbook selections. I highly recommend Dr. A to anyone who is serious about their studies and ANYONE who plans on entering any of the medical disciplines.
Dr. Aliff is not going to GIVE grades out to students...you have to earn your grade. He is very fair, responsive to student emails and he promotes independent thinking which is absolutely crucial in the medical field. His course content offers MANY opportunities for extra credit and a variety of real world exercises. A&P IS a difficult subject.
Very glad that I took Dr. Aliff. Took online but he is usually online and always responds to emails fast and grades are quickly posted. Doesn't give quizzes based on memorization so he challenges you to think (as you will need to do in the medical field). Highly recommend but only if you are serious about learning as opposed to memorization.
When taking 1612AP, don't think you can skate through, you won't! Aliff is about the toughest Professor I ever had, but I made an A. There are lots of assignemets, bi-weekly timed quizzes. If you take him, make friends and study parterns early, and you can survive. There is extra credit, and he warns you, online is harder! Good luck.
I took his online class. This class is a lot of work. Dont take this class unless you are interested in healthcare. He gives a alot of work, necessary for an online class. The Quiz/Test are difficult. Matching system can be very confusing. He truly prepares you for a career not a grade. If you are an independent worker take this class.
Dr. Aliff teaches like everyone is 18 and just got out of high school. They say "it's never too late or your never to old to get an education" if you are older and working toward a new career; you don't want to start here! "TOTALLY DISCOURAGED"
Mr. Aliff takes his job seriously. Its definitly not an easy class. The information is clear but the tests are difficult. The only reason I made an A was because of the quizzes and reports. But overall a good teacher. Except for that coloring book he makes you fill out. Seems unncessary when you have a lab to attend also.
When i start practicing a medical art, I will know that Aliff cared enough to make a thorough course. His graces are: curves quizzes, allows you to correct mistakes on the case studies and answers emails fast. His quizzes are key worded questions that emphasize processes.
Please don't take this professor, at least not online. I don't know how he is in the classroom but he was totally useless online. Purchasing the text book was a waste of money. He gives tons of notes and websites that doesn't work. His quizzes are very difficult and convoluted. Extra money to spend on projects - not worth the time or grade!
This man was impossible! I took his class online and when I emailed him with a question, I could "feel" him yelling at me. He would email my grade and then it would not show up on my grade roster. When I asked about it, he would want proof of his initial email he sent to me. Very unorganized.
Professor Aliff is very efficient and organized. Be prepared to do a ton of work if you want to earn an A in his class. This course is taught on a medical/nursing school level. Exams are fair just make sure you study his notes, use the textbook as a supplement and complete all CD assignments prior to taking the exams.
The online course is extremely unorganized and unclear. Be prepared to teach yourself A & P if you take this class. It would be in your best interest to avoid this online class.
i promise u will work ridiculously hard for him. Be ready to utilize an array of outside sources.
He is very helpful. You can rework his first quiz, rework a case study, and he curves his tests. Online courses are different. If you can't read, you are sunk. This course is hard, but I want tp be a great nurse.
Must have course if you are going into Nursing. Teaches you to think deductively when assessing issues... a must have in the field. Course work helps you to retain the knowledge not just memorize for the test. Excellent professor and course. ONLINE!!!!
You have to work really hard to get an A but you can! If you're like me and are not a good test taker he's a good one to take because while his tests are super hard, half of your grade is homework and papers, plus he allows extra credit. He's very fast to repond to your questions and gives grades back really fast even same day!!!
I took his online course. He's super quick resonding to you and giving you back your grades. If you like classes that give you extra credit and don't base all your worth on tests then he is the one to take! I think he's GREAT!
Dr Aliff is a great professor, however be prepared to work. If you are serious about pursing a medical career then this is the class for you. I'm in nursing school and the knowledge that I gained from this course is remarkable. Taking this course will make you compotent in your choosen profession.
Dr. Aliff is a very demanding professor and he offers little help to his students.
Online class. He's not the easiest, but I got an A and an extremely thorough knowledge of human anatomy. Best for naturally critical thinkers. Is a scientist, thinks, teaches like one, you work hard, case studies, color book, cd's & tests. He's VERY fair,in the end you'll be grateful. Learn how he thinks, prove you're serious, he's one of the best!
Had Dr. A for 1611 too. Favorite professor. In nursing and I am so prepared. Online class, be ready to work and the knowledge you will gain is invaluable. Through the text, his book, color book, cd & case studies, teaches textbook /practical thinking. Very fair, thinks like a scientist, if you're focused & serious he's your guy. Two thumbs up!!
If you work full time and need a balance between your work and studies, don't take him. He demands things as if u have nothing else to do. I was a full time working person and a full time student, and I couldn't keep up with the demands of his assignments and case studies. His attitude is not much help either.
I am going to make a C or even maybe an F in this class because of this teacher. Please Do Not Take Him if you are not just a full time student. He asks to mail him assignments in a whole different state!!! on time or no points. Arrogant attitude, responses are rigid and dry, no warmth as a teacher..great science but bad teacher..Don't take him.
WOW this was a hard class! The quizzes are VERY detailed and you need to know the material before you take them.. there is not enough time to look stuff up on the quizzes!! That being said.. if you are serious about going into the medical field, the material you learn in this class is invaluable. Dr. Aliff is extremely knowledgable and helpful.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN CLASS I'M BEGGING YOU...He is very manipulative, he does not care about students...even the ones that try hard...he will send you on a dummy misson every time I promise you you will feel so dumb when you leave this class...Please for heaven sake save yourself the feeling...You've been warned!!!!
I took the online class. I got confused by his horrible, disorganized web ct page: he presents all information on one page that you have to search through every time for assignments, he can't spell, has horrible grammer (which really sucks in an online class) and is very insulting when you ask questions.
This guy is awful...I ended up dropping the class because he wants all students to fail. It was miserable. If you care anything about your time, money, and grades you will not sign up for a class with this professor. He is there only to make you pull your hair out of your head!
Do not take an online class from this guy. His syllabus is hard to understand, then he gets upset when you ask questions. Terrible instructor!
Be prepared to work hard in this class. You will have to earn that A! With that said, I really liked the quality of this class. I learned more in this online class than in any other. He gives lots of assignments that helped me to understand A&P, not just skate through. I loved the case studies-they're like actual medical/nursing content.
Ok, he's not THAT bad as long as you actually read the book and do his assignments. I like the structure of his class because you learn through the load of work he gives. He's not for those who don't want to work hard and is not the professor to give out grades. If you want to learn something and EARN your grade, I recommend him.
I wouldn't recommend taking this class over the 8 week summer term, but I felt like I learned alot. You will learn in this class if you keep on top of the work and read the professor's study guides. His tests can be frustrating, but he does give extra credit opportunities. He comes off a bit rude when asked questions.
Presses you to learn, hard tests, interesting projects, gives a nice curve at the end of the course.
Dr. A is great! He was very helpful on the case studies by helping me get them right. Lightning email responses too.
He isn't much on small talk in his e-mails, but he is very quick to respond, which is awesome. He is very clear in his sylabus, so there are no surprises. The case studies are a lot of work, but I learned so much becasue of them. I'm glad I took him!
when an instructor tells you that you are in college after you ask a question that tells me they dont want to explain. i struggled all the way through. it was not supposed to be a lab class yet and still we had to do experiments
DO NOT take this professor! He is so unorganized, you never even know what you are supposed to be studying, and when you ask a question he is rude and never really answers your question. Test questions do not reflect required reading material. BAD!
It's an online class so everything has been via email. He is downright rude when you ask him a question. Any question. It's really bizarre. Tests are killer. Learned a lot but it was by doing the workbook and reading the text book. His study guides are sometimes incomprehensible. I would never take a class from this guy again.
Dr. A is rude when responding to questions. He expects you to know what you're doing by reading the syllabus and his notes. However, the syllabus is unclear at times, and his notes make no sense. He expects his students to use good grammar, but does not hold himself to the same standard. He also tests on material not required in the readings.
He is a horrible professor!! I like to work hard in classes so that I learn something, but I emailed him all the time and I was referred to the syllabus all the time. I was like, if I understood the syllabus then I would not have emailed you! Should not be teaching students AT ALL!
Dr. A, you are great! Great responses to emails. He expects a real effort by a college level student and he gets it. If you like your hand held through the course, expect him to meet you half way. He has a good curve and extra credit assignments. I am an older student and he looks great!
HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took his online class and he was rude when he answered back to you, his test were extremly hard the first 5 questions have 11 different parts to it so it's hard to finish with the time limit. just overall HORRIBLE teacher!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
He has absurd expectations- like, as you are JUST beginning to learn about systems in the body, you have to do case studies where you need to have a background beyond beginning A&P. my sister, a pediatrician said that she did similar case studies before ROTATIONS in MEDICAL SCHOOL for extra credit!! Never worked so hard for a B in all my life.
I would not recommend this teacher. He is probably very knowledgeable about the course material (his notes make it seem so) but he is not good as an online instructor. I do not feel that I learned as much as I should have. The only way I passed were through the ample opportunities for extra credit. He also seems offended when you ask questions.
Dr. A is a very tough teacher. I never felt like I was doing well in his course, so I continued to work hard all semester. I learned a lot more than I expected, and came out with an A! If you are willing to work hard, take this course and you'll learn a ton.
Very poor instructor, would never ever recommend.Really need to use spell check more often.Very poor communicator. I wasted a whole semester and still did not learn a thing. He makes biology uninterested.STAY AWAY....
Let's be clear, this teacher WILL NOT let you skate by. You must work VERY hard and spend a lot of your time studying. I took him online and I had to teach myself. But I learned SO much. I got a very well deserved A. Just read the syllabus, do the coloring book and extra credit BEFORE his quizzes and you will be fine.
DO NOT TAKE THIS Professor!!! Not clear, failure to communicate, won't learn anything.
He is mean and his class is difficult BUT, he has a huge curve at the end of the semester. I made C/D on all my tests & came out with a B. In addition, this class really prepares you for the nursing program!
Can you say CONFUSING! I took his Environmental Science class online. I have never taken a more confusing class. I think if you read the book and his study guides it helps some, but his directions are unclear. Also it's a non-lab science, but he has you doing several @ home labs. He will let you redo some work, but probably because so many do poor.
Dr. aliff was very nice and helpful. took online and answered emails the same day. You must read the study guides posted and do the extra credit it will improve you quiz grades, which the quizzes can be very challenging.
Extremely hard! He doesn't answer questions with anything but yes or no- or "read syllabus". Must read chapters and his study guides! Plus coloring book! You must work really hard. Do the extra credit! Gives a good curve at the end of the semester.
I am currently taking his class and he is not helpful at all. Email responses are very vague and rude at the least. Syllabus and instructions are very unclear.
I am currently taking Dr Aliff and at the start of the semester,I almost dropped him because his instructions are not well organized.I was patient and everything is looking great. He gives several extra credit assignments. And his Case Study assignments will help you think like a healthcare professional.I already registered for his BIOL 1612 nxt yr.
I took him online for A&P lecture. He's not personable, but he's very prompt when answering emails and grading. I loved the case studies. His quizzes are hard, but he gives extra credit, and the coloring book is an easy A.
Syllabus was not organized. Expectations were unclear. Grading on written assignments was somewhat inconsistent. Workload was not difficult, but was excessive. Lots of busy work.
This online class was challenging. The tests were hard. I was confused as to what I needed to study and the time allotted to take them wasn't long enough. Some of my lab partners had the same class but different section and their tests weren't timed.I didn't think was fair. I got a B, because of lots of homework grades. His case studies were fun.
Don't do it unless you have a minimum of 2 hours a day to study. Expectations unclear, tests are difficult and timed with not enough allowed and with a lab it's a great deal of work. I am disciplined but this was outrageous.
This online class was extremely difficult. A chapter would consist assignment in: coloring book, text, interactive-CD, reading quiz. He would supply with 2 different types of outlines also loaded with questions. Quizzes were extremely tough, I couldn't figure out. 2 case studies/you need to think like a P.A. There's a LOT of work!
Don't take A&P with this professor. So much material to cover for quizzes and the questions are ridiculus. Case studies are interesting but there is no clear direction. You have to read the text and do the questions, coloring book, his minimum 8 page study guide for interactive Mastering A&P, Mastering A&P reading quizzes, etc. No curve.
This professor requires alot of work which I understand is to help you with more grades toward the end but test/quizzes very difficult not precise and to the point. definetly not enough time alloted for quizzes.Case studies were interesting but you have to think like a doctor.
I took this class online, and the beginning was chaotic at best. His information is all over the place and he is EXTREMELY unhelpful and condescending if you email him. I've taken plenty of other online classes and never had trouble navigating one like I did his. That said, if you can figure it out and do the work, you'll do well; I got a high A.
Dr. A's class is pretty difficult. He goes a lot more in depth than a lot of teachers. The final was crazy hard. I don't think he is very condescending, as others have stated. He expects a certain level of intelligence from his students. His class is a lot of work, but I ended up with an A.
Dr. Aliff is possibly the worst professor I have ever had. I took him for BIOL 1403L online and he was awful. Never posted due dates, followed two different schedules on two different syllabi, very condescending emails, never answers questions, not helpful at all. He is a horrible professor NEVER EVER TAKE HIM!
Where should I start. If you have to take any type of science make sure you do not take Dr.A. His directions are not clear and he is very rude. It's so bad I'm considering going to the dean. PLEASE whatever you do DON'T TAKE HIM.
DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I should have listened! even if he is the last class open...don't do it!!! it is worth waiting the extra semester to take a good professor!
To begin, Dr. Aliff is very disorganized. The syllabus has not been updated (structurally) since 2003. He has no clue what the newer book look like let alone what's in them. All links within his study guides no longer work. He NEVER answers the phone when you call. Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
Professor's syllabus is confusing and disorganized. Professor is rude and unhelpful when replying to emails. Assigns case studies but does not even know what certain medical tests are (like a PPD). Really does not know what he's talking about. The tests are strangely worded and difficult to understand.
Worst teacher I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HIM! He is not very helpful and his online class is very confusing. I basically failed and have to take lab all over again because he really did not want to help anybody. Everything was very hard and confusing. PLEASE save yourself the stress I went through and do not take him.
Hi course is confusing. If you are looking for thorough responses to your email(s) you will not receive it. He is very vague and expects you to find the answers yourself with little to no guidance. Will be taking this course again on campus with a different professor.
He is the worst professor I've ever had through my college career. I love Anatomy, but his syllabus was confusing and he was not helpful at all. The student is never right. Take anyone but him for this class.
I've never had a teacher like this before. This is my first time taking an online class and I did not expect it to be like this. His syllabus is super confusing and he gives multiple assignments as if this wasn't an online class. People take online classes because it's more convenient and he made it the complete opposite. Don't take him.
By far the worst professor I've ever had. Took class online. Syllabus doesn't make sense. Unorganized. Not helpful whatsoever. Tests are impossible to study for. He gave me the wrong grades for things so I had to argue to him to change them. I'm a A and B student but there's no way to pass. His attitude is terrible. I would never recommend him.
I have BS Biology took this class as nursing pre-req.Difficulty of class & prof expectations equivalent to course I took at private university. If you're going into health profession & can't earn A/B in this course consider changing majors. Syllabus was clear, lots of extra credit opportunities. can fail an exam & do poorly on final & still earn A
Asked us to do work above the class level and syllabus was inconsistent and confusing. He was unwilling/unable to answer questions when emailed. Many quiz questions were marked incorrect when they were correct. Never responded to questions regarding this, even though it affected studying for finals. Tested on material not covered. Do not take him.
A lot of work in his online class and is self- motivated. No reminders of when things are due, he just expects you to do them and turn them in by the due date. There are a few "case study" assignments, which were my favorite part. He is not easy to communicate with and is a strange bird, but not impossible. Quizzes are VERY difficult!
All tests are online through mastering A and P. Some cases studies. Lots of extra credit opportunity. Responds to email pretty quickly. My only complaint would be his syllabus was a bit confusing so just make sure you clear that up in the beginning. Easy A. Don't be lazy. I took this with A and P 2 at the same time.
This professor is terrible. He is very confusing, Warning. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is very vague when you ask him question to his course work, because he is very unorganized. He do not really answer your question. Lots of work.
Do not take this class. I'm an AB student and I'm praying I pass by some miracle. Test are horrible. No way to study for test. Syllabus was confusing. Questions were answered very vaguely. Be prepared to teach yourself. He offered extra credit but most of it was unreasonable. Very demanding course & his study guides were hard to follow.
I am going on to Nursing school, then to PA school. This guy is fair, thorough and very responsive. Always polite. I feel well-prepared.
This is an online class, so be prepared to do your work. It seems like most of the reviewers on here who rated poorly just didn't want to put forth effort. He is very knowledgeable and a good teacher. Try and you will do great in his course.
This is an online class, even though I's passing the class. This syllabus was ridiculously information overload and confusing. In emails, he is very rude and talks to you any way. The material is basically teach yourself. I wouldn't take anymore classes that he has taught again.
You can pass this class if you really try but his teaching style is horrible. Doesnt want to really help you at all, very rude when you e-mail him and is not helpful. Only reason I took him this semester is because he was the only one left. Do NOT take online classes if you dont like cummalitive final. Final covers all 15 chapters. Dont do it.
