Excellent teacher.

This is a great teacher, if he goes fast is only because it is a two month fast track class, this teacher really helps his students to understand the material, he is very easy going and even if you dont get it he will go over as many times as possible until you get, great teacher one of the best in North Campus.

This guy is awesome. I love his teaching style, he is very understanding and thorough. He will explain to you until you understand. Reviews all material before tests. You only could WISH this guy taught college algebra (I think he's working on his degree still). I got an A with him, no problem.

He is so far the best professor I've ever had in math!!! He explains so well and has the patience to actually repeat until you understand. You dont really need the book that much, he would give you a lot examples and exercise in class...!!! A ++++

Great Professor! He went throught the material a little fast but if you say something he will slow down. Always open for any questions. Comes early to class to go over the homework with anyone who has a problem they need help with.

He had 4 test and dropped one. If your final was higher than your lowest test he replaced it with that grade. He was cool.

Professor Baker is a very good instructor. He wil help you with any questions-he is thorough but moves very quickly with the subject. He makes math as fun as it can be-too bad he doesn't teach higher level courses-I would definately take his class again.

prof baker is great. he's very thorough. homework is encouraged, not collected. he explains until you understand. reviews right before each test. my only disappointment is that he's not teaching my next math class.

Mr. Smith is a great teacher, it is unfortunate that there are a few like him teaching. He is very patient and is open for discussion during and after class. Took him for Inetrme. alge. way easy. Just do the math labs at home and you will pass the class. I hate math but passed his class.You should take him it is way worth it. Loved the class failed to test and still passed.

I wish he was teaching 1105! His tests were multiple choice and he tried very hard to make sure you understood the concepts. He is very good.

OMG!!! I love him. He is very helpful, patient, and understanding. Not required to do homework, but it helps for tests. He also drops three lowest test scores. Trust me TAKE HIM. HE also kinda sexy:)

This class is not easy. It takes alot of work to grasp the concepts. His teaching style is good and he is helpful. I didn't feel like he was trying to fail me. I was disappointed with his final though. He gave a review sheet that wasn't that helpful when taking the test. He said it was not that difficult, but it was. He's OK, be prepared to work!

GREAT TEACHER, but his class is not that easy as the others said, he lead us to believe the questions on the final were easy, but they looked nothing like the review sheet at all.But he is very helpful to any question or concerns you may have

He is a very nice teacher, this class is hard though, he is very helpful, but you have to really pay attention and do the homework practice to get you by.. Baker is the BEST math teacher in the world! I have taken him for countless math classes, and always pass with at least a B. A+ teacher! Knows his stuff and is more than willing to help anybody along. Assigns a moderate amount of homework but does not collect it, used just for practice. Do everythinghe tells you, follow the syllabus and there is no way you can fail the course. Gives generous amounts of extra credit opportunities as well. Take him at all costs!!!!

If it wasn't for tutorials on the web, I would not have passed this class. He assumes you took Algebra awhile ago. Not! He explains the lecture well, but needs to refresh some memories for those who took math 4 or more years ago. Other than that his tests are fair.

GREAT teacher. His lectures are very clear. Makes sures the students understand the topic. All the tests are from material cover on class. Plenty of examples and procedures. As long as you come to class and pay attention to the material you will do good.

Math has NEVER been my strong suit and I got an A in his MAC1140 course. I'm trying to say that he's an "Easy A" but he knows how to explain the material so well. Very laid-back person and laid-back teaching style. Highly recommend his course to anyone seeking to LEARN.

Math has never been my strong SUIT. But Professor Baker changed my mind about Math. This Professor is very passionate about teaching and his teaching style is one of the best I've seen. All of the material covered in class is on the tests/exams. He prepares you for each test/exam. Show up to class and you will do very well.

He is one of the nicest and I would say in the top 5 of the best math teachers at BC (yes i have had a lot of bad ones). He explains the material clearly and his tests are similar to the homework. I currently have a high A in his class with only the final left. He gives 4 tests and a final exam which the final replaces your lowest test score.

He is a very good teacher. He gives 5 test and those are your major grades in class. I wish he would require homework, because it would help bust the grade up a little, also if I get graded on the homework I'm more motivated to practice... But if it's optional let's face it we can get lazy... But he is great I really enjoyed his class.

Loved this class! Professor Baker was the best. He knows his stuff, was very clear and easy to understand. He gave great examples and taught great short cuts. Very helpful, didn't mind stopping to help clarify anywhere you got stuck. I took him for 3rd session, so it was quick but he made sure you got it. Plus the homework guide saved my life.

Failed previous two attempts at college algebra. Too Mr. Baker on a recommendation and couldn't have been happier! Excellent professor, great clarification, detailed instruction, useful memory techniques, and an overall caring and compassionate attitude. He wants everyone to succeed and makes every attempt to see that's a reality for each of his students!!! Got an "A" on all 4 tests and a "B" on my final...all weighted evenly for a 91-A final grade!!! And I didn't do one ounce of HW:)

Good teacher. Always there to help & gives extra credit. If your final exam is higher than one of your lowest test grade he replaces the low grade with the grade you got on your final. Gave similar practice questions that were on the test. I would tell everyone to take him. Has a good sense of humor which keeps class interesting. ALWAYS HELPS

I retook this course during the summer and was able to pass. Professor Baker is never in a rush to cover the lesson, and even prints out note packets with the practice problems we go through during the lecture. This saves a remarkable amount of time since the class doesn't have to copy down the problem, and we could get right to practicing!

Prof Baker is AWESOME!! He really cares about his students passing and will not test you on something that was not covered in class. He will literally tell you something like this this and this will be on your test. Homework is not mandatory but if you want to pass you will have to practice the problems. Test and Final. lowest test dropped. TAKE!!

Professor Baker was excellent! he teaches so well that I think even toddlers would understand haha I really wanted to have him again for mac1105 but he had no Summer B class. MAke sure you get ALEKS and DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! It's a huge pain in the butt but it will help you so much! This professor is great and very clear with everything.

This guy is the best at broward college. He teaches highschool during the week and treats his college students like they dont know the fundamentals. If you struggle in math, this is your professor. He will drop your lowest test and give a curve on all exams. TAKE HIM !

One of the best math teacher at broward college. he makes algebra understandable. being a student that had trouble with math made it so much easier to when attending his class. you have to do mathlab, 8 quizes online, 4 test in class. he is very helpful, trying to take him for statistics.

He's the best! I didn't really do the homework out of the book. I took notes, did the labs, and did the reviews out of the book and passed with an A+. If you have ANY questions, he will make sure you understand the material. If I have another math class, he will be the one I look for.

Easy A or B. No Textbook needed, he gives out the papers, so no writing. Texts are easy and the exam, He go over a review before every text. Multiple questions on all tests.. TAKE HIM PLEASE

Proffesor Baker was by far my favorite math teacher! Very detailed explanation for every section of the course and he will go out of his way to help his students. Gives out packets every week which are a detailed explanation of the lessons and can come in handy if you do not make it to class.

Mr. Baker is one of the most amazing math teachers I've ever had. He gives 4 testes throughout the whole year and a final exam. Yes mylabsplus is part of the course, however out of the eight mylabsplus quizzes he takes five of your best scores (divide them by five) and counts your mylabsplus quiz average as a test grade. SO DO IT.

Professor Baker is great!! Math is math, but he gives great explanations, tells you what is on the test and gives you extra credit. The textbook and homework helped A LOT. Mylabsplus is required so you might as well by the book, trust me this will help you. I passed with an A. And this was after having to retake college Algebra

Really nice guy, I found him easy to understand. Gives homework assignments/quizzes through mylabsplus, which if done are correctly mean an A is guaranteed for the tests, final is cumulative, so use your previous tests as reference. Love teachers that can make math understandable, he is one of them!

Professor baker is amazing, not everyone can make a 3 hour class interesting but he can. He is super clear and in the day of ALEKS where teachers can pawn off teaching to a program it is nice to know there is still hope. Make sure to do the HW and reviews to do well on the tests. He went out of his way to help me choose my honors project also. A++

Took him for summer. Three hour lecture two days a week, and I would't have it any other way! Only grading criteria were 5 exams, the rest was purely for your own benefit. I failed algebra once before and dropped it another. His way of teaching is so clear! He teaches the long version of the problem but also shows you the much easier short cuts.

He is a great professor, is the first time in my life that I was able to understand Algebra so clearly.

Prof. Baker is the best math professor. Does not require textbook! Uses print outs of the notes in class and works with you in solving during class. Gives you a "sheet of gold" to tell you how many questions are coming from which sections before the test. Plenty of opportunities to ask for help. Very caring of his students. He is good at explaining. The lectures are long and tiring. He gave us 4 tests and 1 final exam. No quizzes. Homework was not mandatory. PRACTICE THE HOMEWORK! Test questions come from it. I came in this class not knowing much since I took college algebra many years ago. I practiced a lot and got 98 and 100's on my tests.

Professor Baker is an overall great professor. He explains everything very thoroughly and answers any questions until you understand. I took his class at night and you would expect the class to drag but Professor Baker made the semester very enjoyable.

Professor Baker was by far the best professor I have had at Broward college. His lectures were easy to understand and the homework he gave was basically to force you to study. he covers everything in class, so if u do miss class u most likely have to teach yourself the material. there are 6 grades entered. 4 tests, the final, and an average of your top 6 quizzes. As long as u know the material before test days, u should be fine. he reviews before every test & extra credit is given most times. take him if u take 1105!!
