He is a good teacher and he will always help you out. Those who say his class is hard, it's just because most of them leave early from class, they miss some of the material and later they say it's his fault b/c they didn't do good on the test. He explains everything really good. Just take his class!

He is a cool guy and all but a bit confused, he took over our class from Assad so he had to go by Assad's slyibus ..he makes the easiest problem the hardest and then he will get confused over the problem in the middle of solving the problem..test are multiple choice and still are hard

i think he has a system that works and realy helps u teach yourself.if u can read the book u can make a decent grade.homework isnt taken for a grade,but doing it helps.he also allows u 2 drop the lowest test grade and make up whatever other test u want.if u ask questions it helps.hes not mean or anything.he talks like big boy from outkast,thatscool

He is very HOT, which made it harder for me to concentrate in his class.Most of the simplest things are drawn out and made complicated.He is always available for extra help and offers it as much as possible.It is easier for him to break down the basics when you are one-on-one.Tests are multiple choice and covers the basic concepts of the material.

John Beatty is a good teacher.. He expects alot from his students, as he should. He is very intelligent, and is intersted in alternate perspectives.. He likes to learn just as much as he teaches. This is not a difficult class unless you neglect your work, he wants everyone to pass, and he really cares.. valuable math teacher, and great guy.

His class is a reasonable college math class,but his teaching skills suck. He is always late for class. Sometimes 15 minutes and sometimes 30 minutes,so be prepared to show up late for his class! He also jumps from one topic to another! He doesn't know how to teach!

Mr. Beatty has been an awesome teacher so far. He really wants all of his students to understand what he is teaching. He is always there if you need help. I would take more math classses from him.

Mr. Beatty is nice and very willing to give you extra help at your convenience. I have stayed after class many times for help understanding the material and he worked with me as long as I needed him.

I think this guy is a total jerk. I know from first hand experience that the lower levels of math struggled. If you are good enough to have made it up to Calc II you can probably do it but it won't be pretty. The only thing that I liked about him was that he encouraged office visits if you needed extra help.I recommend Sanders or Powell instead.

Excelllent instructor. Fair, funny, and knows his stuff. Those who complain about his class are those who are most likely not putting in any effort. I recomment him to anyone who has to take learning support at the Lawrencevill campus. I had him for both 97 and 98 and got an A in each. I will be taking him again this fall for College Algebra.

First day felt like what the hell is this! As the class goes on Mr B gets easy. He is a little confusing while explaining, but i did put in a lot of effort. We got few homework quizzes and tests are not bad. I got an A....Take this if you are a hard worker or good test taker. I am taking him again for Calc II.

he was an okay teacher...pretty easy if u know ur math. i have a good understanding of algebra so it was really easy for me i just slacked off so i got a B. his tests are so easy jus tdo that take home quiz and ur good to go. he explains math clearly goes step by step...but if u cant grasp the concept quick enough then dont take him

Ok, first off let me tell you he isn't that bad. Yes, there is a lot of homework, but you don't have to turn it in he has homework quizes. My class only had one all sem the tests are pretty simple and there is extra credit. If you need help ask and he will go over it again until you get it. He enjoys teaching just give him a try. He is really good.

This guy loves Math and shows it. Yes, he goes on and on-he keeps going til you get it! Very helpful-I hate Math but he helped me get my A in 99 and 1111. Do all the homework, attend every single class and ask questions-that is the key. Very great Math teacher!!!!!

I Luv dis guy!! This is my second time taking his class and i got a 'B' both times. Not because he gave it to me (cuz he don't give out grades) but because he helped me soo... much until i understood what in da hell was goin on. I still don't like algebra but now i kinda got a understanding of it. Not to mention da fact dat he is very handsome!

This guy is a great teacher. I got a C but thats because I didn't try as had as I could have in the beginning. He covers the material clearly and he does lots of examples. If you don't do well its because your not doing the work he assigns or your not asking questions. One of the best teachers I have ever had.

Mr. Beatty is a GREAT TEACHER! If anyone has a hard time its because they are not doing the work assigned. I took him for granted at first , but when I went for help he went out of his way and I pulled my D to a B in the end. Also he is a PLEASURE to look at! LOL

He is the most outstanding teacher you could ever have. I passed his class with an A. He teaches every step and goes over your previous work. He offer tutor during his office hours. There should not be any excuse why an individual should not pass his class. He reopens all assignments. However, take his advice and get a study group it helps.

Mr. Beatty is a great teacher. Math is not my subject I failed because of my lack of skill. But he is I repeat a great teacher. I learned things from him and he'll go over things as many times as you need to understand and if you still can't understand he will help you during his office hours. He was great. Professor Beatty is a great teacher. I received a B in his class, I couldve did better if I studied more but I got what I deserved. I took him during the summer, and I believe that is really the best time to take a math course. Overall he was a great teacher and I would reccomend him to anyone, plus he is gorgeous.

Professor Beatty is very helpful and patient. You need to attend class every day and form a study group as soon as possible. You should keep on top of the online MathLab homework and quiz assignments. When Professor Beatty talks, his rhythm and cadence reminds me of Denzel Washington. He is very handsome and it's hard to stay focused.

Mr Beatty is a good math teacher. His good looks and physique can be a distraction but its clear he wants his students to have a strong foundation in math and i like his teaching style. HE is the answer to Math anxiety and I would definately look for his classes as i move up.

I really enjoyed Beattys class. I mean he worked with the students alot,people in my class were just lazy,&nd thats why they failed.If you do your homework before the class when he explained it..you would see he did a very good job. I wish he was teaching pre-cal.

Professor John Beatty was one of the best male teachers I've taken. He was very easy to get along with. He also cared about every student in the class. He was extremely helpful to each student. Mr. Beatty is all over the map. Although he is super helpful and made himself available, he was very unorganized. Be prepared to live in the tutoring center and form study groups. if you DO NOT do these things, you will be guaranteed to fail. I failed 2 out of 5 tests but aced my final because I studied for 4 days straight for hours and got an A.

This class used ALEKS so you mostly worked on your own; however, Prof. Beatty was always readily available to assist when help was needed. He's not a hands on instructor. Very approachable; has a natural desire to see students succeed. Basically, your success in this class depends heavily on how hard you work. Would definitely take his class again.

I made sure to come back and rate this prof. He was the best ever. Math is tough, however he gives you so many chances to help you out. This is a teacher that REALLY cares! He does his best to explain in lecture and if not his door is always open to come talk to. He's very patient and I wish I could take him for every math course I have. TAKE HIM!!

I don't see how everyone else had difficulty with Mr. B, his class was the best. His lectures go fast, but he truly tries his hardest for each student to understand the material. I'd love to take Mr.B again. I've NEVER had a teacher who genuinely cared about me as a student and my understanding of math. If you participate and try you'll do great!

Mr Beatty is a very strict professor and you have to be very attentive in his class. He usually helps stuent out but you have to be able to communicate with him.

Mr Beatty is a very nice Professor, he cares about students alot but you need to be able to work with him if you wanna pass, do ur homeworks and finish it before the due dates even tho he always lets students appeal tests and assignments.

This class is not an easy A, but if you work hard, study, and meet with him for study hours theres no way you can fail. He is very caring, and wants to help you do your best. I'm not sure about others experiences but this guy was the best math teach Ive had so far. Take him and you wont regret it. But dont expect to be handed an A.

Dr. B is very inspirational. He informed us of how he wasnt good at math, but look at him now, hes a math professor. He truly cares whether his students are passing or not. Dont be afraid to ask questions when confused. He will not give you an easy A but he will most definitely do his best to make sure you understand the concept.

I love Professor Beatty cause he's very passionate about his students and math! If you go to him for help, he'll be so patient and understanding with you. Precal was much easier than College Algebra, but I took him for both and he helped me tremendously. Literally the best professor ever! And he's so funny, so it helps class flow smoothly.

Professor Beatty is great! He was always willing to help when I had questions, which I'm always nervous about doing. He's understanding and takes the time to explain the work. The class was blended (in person/online), but I preferred in-person. There is a lot of work, but as long as you get the clarification you need, it's pretty easy.

Professor Beatty has a structured teaching approach, but engages well. The workload is heavy, but going to office hours and using tools like unstuckstudy can really help. Attendance is a must to keep up.

The course was easy to take because it was all online and I just had to maintain a schedule. His email responses are pretty fast and helps when you need it. The math wasn't too difficult but there is a lot of math work to do, so just remain focused.
