Easy going, fun professor. He is humorous and you will learn lots in class. He is strict on class attendance. You will work often in groups on assignments and test. If you attend class all semester you will recieve an A. If you miss to many classes then you shot yourself in the foot, shame on you!

Best teacher I have had at UCF. His classes are easy and fun and his method of "over teaching" the material helps students retain the knowledge. Attendance is all that is required and even then he is leniant if you talk to him.

Took it online. The assignments are straight forward, you have two weeks to complete them. It consists of reading a chapter or two and then defining key terms and answering a few questions (nothing difficult). The book is an easy read. There is also a midterm and final, each consists of roughly 20 questions and no time limit.

VERY easy, the midterm was straight from the book and you had a week to take it; super easy questions too. The assignments are not bad and I've made all 100s on them, just answer Qs from the textbook. He seems like a nice guy although I only had him online, will be taking him again! :)

EASY "A". Took this class online and it has been awsome!! Easiest class I have taken thus far. We only get weekly assignments which comes out of the book. A midterm and Final 20 questions. Easy comes out right from the book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THIS ONLINE CLASS WITH HIM :)

Easy weekly assignments that are straight out of the book, as are the midterm and final. Straight forward, having the book is a must, but makes it worth the easy A. You don't even have to be history savvy in order to pass this class. Relaxed and interesting!

Beltran is awesome!I got an A in History & Systems, am in his Developmental class, and signed up for Cross-Cultural with him next spring. There are 8 assignments that can be completed all at once and 2 exams - all of which are open book. He is also very understanding; my class had textbook issues and he postponed assignments by a whole month.

When the directions to an assignment include this: "Submit via "assignments", then set your alarm so you can go watch the sunrise tomorrow." You know you have a good professor. This class was an eye-opener for me.

AMAZING! There are no other words to describe him. He's hilarious! But he makes sure we learned, this is an interesting class! Each chapter was covered so you need the book; book is an easy read. He's asks fill in the blank kinds of questions, two exams midterm and final but they are open book.

He is awesome ! Gives you half the semesters assignments up front and you work at your own pace and as long as you put in some effort, you'll be fine. If you cant do well in this class you need to seriously re-evaluate college.

Very simple classwork. I received a 100/A in this course, but learned A LOT. As another reviewer said, you receive half of the assignments at the beginning of the semester, then a mid-term, then the remainder of the assignments and a final. Textbook isn't great, but I still learned a lot. Definitely recommend the class and I love the professor :)

Hands down, the best professor I've ever had. His unique teaching style puts emphasis on learning, rather than your ability to memorize something for a test. I have learned so much from him about psychology and life. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Dr. Beltran, do it. You definitely will not regret it.

This was a great class. You will need the textbook and there are homework assignments but they aren't hard just long. The test are easy and in chapter order. I was able to absorb more information in this class than the others.

Textbook is needed for psychology of prejudice online. Course consists of ten assignments, a midterm, and final (which can either be in exam format or assignment format). Everything can be found in the textbook. As long as you put in the effort you will pass.

This class is so easy! I got 100% on every single assignment. I don't think he even reads them. He's very nice and friendly . I found the textbook to be incredibly boring and he takes a really long time to grade assignments but the class is an easy A.

Easiest course I've taken! He's kind of lazy and takes a little extra time to post assignments.. the class is 20 assignments and 2 "exams" one midterm 20 questions and final was literally one MC question. If you want to LEARN don't take but for an easy A, do so!!

You're a fool if you don't take this professor. Seriously the easiest class I've ever taken. I expected it to be difficult but was pleasantly surprised. The assignments are tedious and time-consuming but if you turn them in, you'll pass. He adds in quirky "assignments" like "2. enjoy some hot chocolate and feed the squirrels" to make you smile.

Dr. Beltran is one of the best professors I've had to date. Each week, you're expected to summarize each chapter, as well as take a short quiz in class. He gives you a study guide for every quiz and exam, and the tests are verbatim. His class is a stress free and relaxed learning experience. If you participate, you will learn the material.

There is a TON of homework, a two page paper every week. His material has been burned into my brain for the rest of my life. If you learn nothing from his class then it is only because as a student you didn't want to. Some how with all he teaches us, I never find myself stressed out, which I think shows how great of a teacher he is.

Easiest class ever. The "papers" were copying definition from the end of the chapters. I don' think he actually reads them cause some of my work was shotty and rushed (did like 3 papers the last 40 mins before 11:59pm) and got 100s. I would suggest getting the textbook PDF, midterm and final command F and youre done in less than 1 minute. TAKE HIM!

Finished the class with a 76 because I accidentally skipped a few assignments and I checked my grade in myUCF and he gave me a B! The assignments were odd but easy. You definitely need the book because that is where the assignments come from. Great guy, and would definitely take him again!

The assignments are all written except midterm and final, but everything is super easy. Half are due before the midterm and the other half before the final. Even though the assignments are not difficult, you still need the textbook to pass. It is absolutely mandatory. I also I still learned a lot from the class because the material was interesting.

I took this class online, despite wanting to take it in person, but i'm glad I did. This course is cake. You get 10 assignments, midterm, 10 more assignments, and a final. Professor Beltran is an amazing man, kind, caring, and funny. and with his once a week class, you have a three page paper due each week. they tend to be Chapter summaries, but if that is too much for you, don't take him. on the flip side, he let us take his midterm home to do, and everything is done in groups.

Class was a breeze. Dr. Beltran was hilarious. Lots of repetition but you will learn more then you think.

You do need the book for assignments but Dr. Beltran is GREAT! I took my class online. It's sectioned into two halves and self-paced. 10 assignments, 1 per chapter, summarize the summary and answer the learning objectives. Mid term and final exam. If you read the chapters, you will absolutely get an A. My 2nd class with him. Earned an A both times

Professor Beltran was very nice and attentive. I took Behavioral self control online with him and it was very easy! As long as you read a chapter a week and turn in the assignments, its an easy A! Only 2 exams: the midterm and the final and they are both based on the chapter summaries. Overall great class and professor! Definitely recommend!

He makes the assignments & due dates clear on the first day. Self paced. If you read the material & complete the assignments, you're guaranteed an A. Midterm and Final Exam are only 10 questions & open book. Everything is pretty straight forward and easy. If you read, you'll pass.

This is the best online class. You can see he is super caring. There are 19 assignments all together, and at most 7 questions. They are split up as he makes 10 due before the midterm and 9 due before the final. This does not mean it is easy, it is quite time consuming, but he gives you plenty of time, just don't procrastinate. You do need to book.

Most of the assignments are summarizing parts of the textbook. As long as you don't plagiarize, you'll do good on assignments. Class is self-paced, so you can finish early. On the down side, he wasn't super responsive to emails.

This man is a KING. I ended the class with a 100% and actually learned. There are 19 assignments that you can do at your own pace and are easy. A lot of summarizing parts of the textbook but it helps you learn the material and as long as you don't plagiarize and meet the word count, you get an A. There are 20 writing assignments total that are about 500 to 600 words each. The first 10 are due halfway and the last 10 are due at the end. As long as you turn in something somewhat about the class, you'll get an A on them. There's a midterm and final but both are super easy. Most people got 100s. Suoer easy A as long as you do the work!

Took him online due to COVID-19 and really had no issues. The class is 10 textbook assignments all due before the midterm and another 10 due before the final. Final and Midterm were both an open note 10 question multiple-choice test. I never had to worry about this class but make sure not to leave all 10 assignments until right before the exams.

Being online, there were no lectures for this class. All of the assignments used the textbook, but they were not too bad. There is also a midterm and final, both 10 multiple-choice questions. There is ample time to complete the assignments, just make sure you turn them in before their deadline.

Summer class. He's really nice and helpful, said he wanted everyone to succeed and offered lots of advice for those going into psych grad school. Mostly focused on the basics and clinical cases. Hw can be long but easy. Tests and quizzes are super easy. It's up to you if you want to learn in depth by reading from the book or by seeking him out.

Dr. Beltran is stellar for this course. It's a very easy A if you are self-motivated. You will have to read the entire textbook but it's not bad and the information is useful for life, not just academically. Highly recommend this course!

I loved Dr. Beltran! This class is so easy, just attend the lectures and you'll get A's on every test. Plus Dr. Beltran is adorable and sweet, and his lectures are always short too, but he gives all the necessary information. There is a test every week and 10 or so assignments that are just reading the textbook and defining terms basically.

Amazing professor. As long as you show up and pay attention to what he says, the tests are a piece of cake. A lot of homework, but super easy to get done before the due date. Very fun to talk to, if you show up early, he will engage in casual conversation if you let him. If you need a letter of rec, you need to take 2 of his classes with an A.

Dr. Beltran is so kind and so respectful to his students. He truly, genuinely wants everyone to succeed, which is something that most professors dont really show. Theres a lot of repetition in his content but thats how we all actually learn. Please take him. Its easy but you will learn a lot, while also being treated with compassion.

Professor Beltran is good guy, he cares about his students and is a very easy grader. My only complaint is he tends to procrastinate assigning things. He waited until the very end of the semester to assign 18 assignments and gave us a month to complete. Other than that he was great :)

I was so glad that I took Professor Beltran this semester. His lectures were enjoyable (about 40 minutes to an hour), and I actually liked reading the textbook. I can't praise him enough! Highly recommend that anyone in psychology takes him.

super down to earth professor and honestly really funny. easy class and he explains the content very well. easy A if you do what he asks lol (which isnt hard). he teaches a few other psych courses so if youre in this major take him, hes great

Dr. Beltran is super chill. He sometimes goes through the pwpt too fast but he slows down/goes back when asked and you can take pictures of the slides if needed. He gives points for answering q's in class (even if you're wrong). Weekly quiz based on lecture & 16 assignments based on 16 text chapters. Cancels class a lot, so check emails!

Professor Beltran is a fair professor who is clearly passionate about the topics he teaches. The assignments were straightforward and if you follow the directions will get a 100%. He goes over the quizzes beforehand so there is no way you fail. He's also really easy to talk to. I wish I could take him for every psych class!

Definitely take this class. Simply read the textbook chapter on how to change your behavior, write a summary, and answer the questions throughout the chapter (so easy). This class was a breath of fresh air. He has chapter assignments where you read the chapter and then do an outline for each chapter, but he gives ample amount of time for it to be done. Also, there are two exams but they're like 10 questions and straight from the book. He proves online learning can be done without a million assignments /PowerPoint.

Even though this was an extremely easy and straight-forwarded class, do not underestimate the assignments. It's only 10 of them, first five due before midterms, second five due before finals, and although they are easy, they take an extremely long time to complete when juggling with other classes, personal and work life.

One of the easiest classes you will ever take. There are NO lectures, just homework assignments from the book. Do not procrastinate because 15 assignments are due before the midterm and 14 before the final. They are very easy assignments but do take a lot of time. It is definitely doable to do in two days but I do not recommend it.

Homework was answering learning objectives from book for every chapter. I suggest doing a chapter a week and answering them as you read to get done. Not hard and the book will help you with completing life goals. It's a book everyone should read honestly.

This is my second time taking Professor Beltran and I just realized. I loved him for PSY 2012 and this too! He is so easy and even taking him in person was a breeze. I would describe him more as chill rather than easy actually. I recommend because he honestly just wants you to succeed

Class grades composed of 18 homework assignments, a 10-question quiz after each lecture (answers given in class to prove attendance), a midterm, and a final. Not proctored. Every assignment is worth the same amount of points. Super easy A and Beltran is a great guy. Didn't lecture all of the material before the semester was over though, so beware.

The assignments were easy and straightforward. The first half of the 14 total assignments were opened at the beginning of the semester and were due midterm. The second half was opened after that, and due at the end of the semester. This allowed me to work at my own pace. Seems very down to earth.

This class is a lot of work, but it is extremely easy! There are 29 assignments, and the first half is due in the middle of the semester, and then you take the midterm which is 10 easy questions. The second half of the assignments are due at the end of the semester, along with the final exam, which is also 10 easy questions. Take this professor!!

The best teacher I've had so far at UCF. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows in his lectures. We were graded by paper tests that were given to us at the beginging of each class period and at the end we could work in groups to make sure we were all right. Super easy and you can tell he loves what he does because his lectures are amazing!

I took EXP3604 over the summer, but wasn't on here! There were only 13 assignments and one exam- so easy. Only thing is that half of HW due at once first part of semester, and second half of HW due at once the second. So if you don't have good time management or ability to work independently, this isn't for you. If you stay on top of HW, ur good.

Beltran is clear and kind. All of his classes usually consist of one book, assignments for each chapter, and a midterm plus final exam, all weighted evenly. The assignments, while straightforward, still require a good amount of time and effort. Exams are usually open book. If you like to read and write, Beltran is the perfect professor for you.

It was a very easy class, really just reading and summarizing the textbook. He seems to care a lot about his students and I never had to go to office hours but I'm sure he would be glad to talk to students about psychology. I really enjoyed the book to, it was a good read, but not overwhelming.

There's 10 written assignments. Make a summary of the chapter summary and answer all of the questions which can be found in the book. Questions range from 15-30ish per chapter. Don't do them last minute. I recommend doing one chapter assignment once every 1 or 2 weeks. One mid term and final test. 25 questions, open book, and not proctored.

The class has a lot of reading assignments, but they're manageable if you stay on top of them. The textbook is really helpful, and unstuck ai was a game-changer for me when it came to preparing for the two exams.

This class is very very easy but just requires a lot of dedication. There's a total of 2 exams and 20 chapter assignments. They are not done by the week but rather each group of 10 is due about 2 months apart. They are essentially chapter summaries so again super easy just a lot of words.

Super easy class. Professor Beltran is super chill. The typical lecture is him going over material and then asking people to answer questions based on it. He gave "study guides" that he always went over before tests, and they were usually the exact same as the test. Assignments based on the textbook are easy. This class is hard not to get an A in.

They are easy Test every 2weeks, fill in the blank questions that are easy Mid term was 50 true or false questions, its amazing Professor posts lecture notes for those that can't make it, only catch is he will always remove one slide from the post, so its not too punishing if you can make it.
