Prof Beyers is honestly one of the best teachers Ive ever experienced. He responds all times of the day and is patient with every single question I had no matter how minor it might be. I wish every uni prof was this caring!

Mostly a self-study course but the format is great. You have until the end of the week to finish all of that week's assignments so you can be flexible with your personal schedule. A lot of free material is included to practice your problem-solving skills in this course which is nice to vary your study material.

Free textbook is okay, the online class is very well organized. The instructor was the strongest feature of this class by far.

Dr. Beyers teaches with practical applications and helps us with STEM career ideas. He's always willing to answer any question I had about the class or about work. I considered him more of a coach than a teacher. A god send!

I was signed up for a hybrid class that canceled face-to-face meetings due to the COVID-19 virus and Dr. Beyers helped my teacher set up his classroom so it would go 100% online. We have Zoom meetings weekly and I feel much more confident than expected

Im not a UMGC student and had to take this class online because of COVID-19. I took this prof because of his ratings on RMP and Im glad I did. I had some medical issues during the term and Dr. Beyers worked with me. Very agreeable.

I'm a student at Penn State and needed this Calc 1 class over the summer for my major. Since I'm from MD, I thought I'd try this class b/c of the Prof's ratings. His class is well designed, easy to follow, and he's responsive to questions. Take-home assessments are good and I'd like to take Prof Beyers for my Calc 2 class in the Fall.

Took Dr. Beyers this Summer for College Algebra. I had to take it for my major and didn't want to. I signed up for this prof based on reviews and was not disappointed. Math is not my favorite subject but I learned alot. A+++

Professor Beyers is really great. He is super flexible with his students and cares a lot about your success. He's great at teaching and makes a difficult subject easy to learn. Take him!

Professor Beyers was amazing. The quizzes are challenging but he gives plenty of time and multiple opportunities to complete said quizzes. They are also open note. He is also understanding if life or accidents get in the way of school.

I would recommend Prof Beyers for Calculus anytime. I took him for Cal1. Open note / open book tests and quizzes. Problems are a little harder, but the eText and notes are very helpful. Take him if you can.

I took Professor Beyers for Math182 (Calc2) and it was one of the easiest classes for such a difficult course. tests and exams were open note while the only thing added to your grade was 1 discussion question a week that required you to respond to one other classmate. Very easy class, take him if you can!

Great professor for Calc 1. Took his online class and it was highly organized. Tests and quizzes follow from notes and eText.

Dr. Byers is very organized and does a good job of breaking things down to where you understand them. I took Calc 2 with him and would recommend him for any math class. Lecture notes and etextbook (which is free) are very helpful.

One of the best professors I have ever had. he seemed to enjoy the act of teaching and was constantly making sure everyone was understanding the material. The best notes I have ever seen from a professor in terms of readability and ease of understanding. The homework is optional (do it anyway) and the quiz/tests where open note and open book.

Dr. Beyers is definitely the best professor I've ever had. He's an amazing lecturer and makes all the requirements extremely clear in the syllabus. I'd absolutely recommend taking a class with him if you're trying to figure out which section to take.

Took an online Calc 1 class with him at Montgomery College in 2022, he cared a lot and I had a great conversation after class with him. He understands how hard math can be and has a lenient grading policy that focuses on learning.. 10 pt quizzes after each chapter with chances to retake them as well. One of the best math classes I've ever taken

One of the best professors I've ever had at MC, I had him for calc1 and 2. Whether you're a math genuis or someone who hates math, THIS is your guy. He's hilarious, caring, simplifies things as easily as he can, attendance is not mandatory he just wants you to know the info. Your grade is made up of 5 quizzes, one midterm, and one final. take him!!

I took Dr. Beyers class because of his ratings. I really liked the way this prof set up the class. He used MyMathLab and all the quizzes were take home. The HW assignments helped me be prepared for the quizzes and exams. Dr. Beyers was available for questions online. I never felt dumb for asking -- he seemed to really care about his students.

I took his MATH165, Precalc in MC and do not regret it one bit! Dr. Beyers has a very direct and clear grading criteria to ensure you receive the best grade that you can. He has even mentioned that he has never failed a student before! However, you do want to make sure you turn in his work on time by the minute as he values punctuation.

Took Dr. Beyers for Calculus and he was really helpful. His class is very well organized and he answered all my questions. Quizzes and Exams are connected to the HW so that was good too. I'll definitely look for him in Calc 2

Prof Beyers makes it clear in the beginning how you can be successful in his class. Grading criteria, tips for success, everything is laid out and he sticks to the plan! So there aren't any surprses. What I liked most is that you could tell he loves teaching and cares about his students. Never once did I feel bad for asking questions.

Great professor! This was the first math class I took in almost 20 years so I was terrified. Dr. Byers organized our online class and helped with answers without making me feel stupid.

This has been my favorite professor. He is very straightforward (which i love) .I knew what to expect ahead of time which made it perfect for me to schedule all my classes . each unit we had about 3 quizzes/asignments but once reading through the textbook it was pretty easy to knock them out quickly. most quizzes werent long anyways.
