Boe is by far, the best teacher I've had at UCD. I'm a BIO major and loved attending every class. Papers are quite difficult and really make you work but overall VERY enjoyable... He is very funny and entertaining, always available to help during OH and is a true master in writing. Loved his class!

Freshman seminar: poetry memorization. A great teacher, passionate, interesting, slightly kooky. Regaled students with stories of past classes, his wife, first loves, etc. Easy grader, will let you turn in things late (with good excuse). really recommend.

First off, he's now retired. Boe is the best teacher I've had at UCD and also the funniest guy I've ever met. He actually made writing enjoyable for me (which I thought was impossible!) Glad I caught him before he left :)

I took the storytelling seminar with him. BEST CLASS EVER. so easy too --just short evaluations for each story teller and a paper at the end. If this class is ever offered again, take it! You will have such a great time.

Dharma Master Dobby is a straight baller. Super relaxed, loves to tell stories, and always appreciative of a good joke. Easy to talk to. 10/10 would bang

Take this class if you want to spend 4 hours a week staring at the sexiest man alive. Everyone gets an A and it'll be the funnest class you take; you just tell stories.

If you have a chance to take storytelling (the best 4 unit class offered at this school) and you don't, there's something wrong with you. It's one of the funnest, most relaxed and useful classes you'll ever take and Dobby is so damn good looking that you won't ever want to leave the room.

Dobby's an awesome, funny, and inspirational professor. I took his freshman seminar Poetry by Heart and I don't regret it. I was skeptical about this class at first because, as a science major, I don't delve much into the english world, but Dobby made this class so fun and comfortable and allowed me to explore a new side of myself. WOULD TAKE AGAIN

This class may have been discontinued but it was all about Storytelling. Each person had to tell 3 stories: one folktale, one true-life personal story, and one additional story (either tale or true-life). Class size was small, roughly 25 students. It was so fun listening to other people tell their stories. Prof Boe was fantastic and he's hilarious!

Extremely subjective grader and very questionable classroom behavior.
