Professor Campbell is a very good teacher. He clearly enjoys teaching this course, and it shows with the satisfaction of the students. He learns students names (even in a full lecture hall). He shows videos that help you apply the things learned as well as summarizes the material studied. I highly recommend taking his course.

You can tell that Professor Campbell really enjoys what he does and is good at his job. His lectures are so engaging and interesting that I want to get out of bed and attend class. Would definitely recommend as a professor, made my first year an excellent transition and made me love university classes!

His lectures were the only ones I didn't mind going to, he keeps things interesting and light.

Super easy, but it sort of seems like he doesn't know what he is talking about at times. There is no need to go to the lectures as he reads off the slides and plays online games. Don't get me wrong, its an easy lecture to sit through, but it almost makes you question what the requirements for becoming a professor.

Dr. Campbell is an awesome prof. He made psychology very interesting to learn about. He was always available after class for clarity or further discussion.

John is so sweet! He remembers his students' names and interacts with them to answer all questions after lecture. He uses a lot of videos to tie course material to real life, but that does mean that you have to read the book on your own too. Easy lecture questions on the exams. VERY helpful and caring and funny guy, would genuinely be friends whim

Definitely has the easiest lecture questions out of all the profs. He always ends lecture 12 an hour early. We call him "Dr. Youtube" because he plays a lot of (interesting) YouTube videos that relate to the psych topic. Don't bother going to class if there's a guest lecturer.

Campbell made this course so amusing. By far one of the best profs I've had. His lectures make the material fun to learn about and you actually look forward to going to class.

Took this as a random elective, thoroughly enjoyed it. Content was interesting, he showed a lot of youtube videos which helps the information stay with you. Everything is also from the textbook though so if you miss a lecture you can catch up right away. I prefer classes though - they were more interesting and made it so I didn't have to read!

He's honestly the best prof I've had in uni. So funny and he made my 9:30am classes worth going too! Classes aren't mandatory but they're fun and make the material easier to learn

He's the best professor I've had so far! Puts a lot of effort into answering your questions to help you to understand better. Lectures are actually entertaining, as he involves students a lot and teaches using various methods to keep it interesting. Sarcastic/hilarious as well xD You can tell he loves what he does!

Posts lecture slides and textbook summary slides. You still have to read the textbook because he will test you on details that are not in either set of slides, but the textbook slides are a great starting point. I'm looking for another psych course that Dr. Campbell is teaching, just so I can have him as my professor again. Highly recommended prof

Dr. Campbell is an amazing prof; helpful in clarifying concepts incredibly engaging lectures (even if a bit of required subject matter was dry here and there); often uses clips of documentaries etc to help really drive concepts home; he's personable, charismatic and actually hilarious. If you can take a class with him, do it.

This was one of my electives and was the best class I could of chose. Most interesting and rewarding class I've taken in Uni yet. Lectures r all posted online so you don't necessarily have to go but every single lecture was packed bc he was such an interesting professor- also lectures r "3 hours" but each time only used 2 hours. Also very funny guy

His lectures were always really interesting! The lectures were pretty much straight from the textbook but he made going to class worth it. I would definitely love to have him again as a prof. The course was only 50% midterm and 50% final though.

He is so genuine and engaging when he teaches. I loved going to this class, by far my favourite course ever. He makes the class participate and makes the lectures interesting! Definitely recommend this course and this prof!

Dr Campbell manages to keep lectures interesting even when going through stale material. He shows a lot of interesting videos in class and talks about the applications of various topics rather than just the raw facts.

The best prof I have ever had. Class is more like watching a comedy show which keeps you engaged and helps you retain the information. When it comes time for the exams there isn't much you need to do since he made all the content so interesting that it just stays with you. Amazing amazing amazing!!!

Super engaging lectures, always ends class 30-50 minutes early. His section questions as well as assignments are by far the easiest out of the psych 1000 classes. Definitely would take his course again (just make sure to study the textbook cause he skims over a lot of material on the tests)

Dr. Campbell was my favourite first year professor. I looked forward to his class since he was so nice, engaging, and personable. His section questions are very straight forward, as long as you attend class. It's obvious he wants his students to do well. My only complaint is that he doesn't cover several of the textbook topics so make sure to read!

Dr. Campbell is a great professor, if you need help to clarification he is their to help. His classes are broken up with videos and the lecture slides are easy to follow. You should read the book required for the course. Hes always on time and ready to go.

It 's not necessary to go to class because he posts all his lecture slides, but this was the ONE class that I always went to! He's hilarious and he's pretty fair with his exams! I recommend taking any course with this prof! (:

I loved Campbell. He's funny and chill and always let everyone go early. Psych is very textbook-heavy so lectures are pretty much useless. He made them fun and literally de-stressed my entire life.

Really enjoyed this prof! Super funny and interesting. However, his slides are sometimes disorganized, your slides and his slides may not match up... Remind him to let you know what will be tested. First exam super easy, 100% is possible. but exams do get harder as they go but keep up with readings and you should be fine! Also, bonus marks!

Professor Campbell is one of my favourite professors. He effectively balances his lectures by thoroughly explaining the content, and showing captivating videos. His exams are also very fair and straight forward, with most of the questions from his lectures. It is easy to remember the content of this course since he makes it so interesting.

1. He lets people bring their dogs to lectures 2. He's hilarious and loves memes 3. He puts cool videos in his lectures 4. His exams are easy (you could get 75% without even touching the textbook) and there's always bonus questions

Loved this class and this prof! he was so excited to teach and the class was packed! you could really feel his passion though the material he taught. The exams were fair and the research paper was also not too bad. 10/10 would reccomend

Dr. Campbell was hands down the best prof I had first year. I loved all of his lectures; he really kept you awake and excited to learn. This course requires a lot of reading from the textbook, but overall is a great learning experience and would 100% take again with this prof ONLY.

Dr. Campbell is such a good prof I'm taking whatever psych course he teaches in second year. His lectures are more like engaging TEDTalks than anything. Would highly recommend. P.S. Make sure you read the textbook though, PSYCH 1000 is very material heavy

He made the course content super interesting! Ive had him twice and he never fails to make funny jokes, while making sure all the students understand. His exams are super fair and easy if you do the readings assigned. He doesnt mind answering questions before, after and during lectures.

John Campbell is probably one of the BEST professors I've ever had. He cares about his students and he makes sure that you actually understand the content before moving on to the next. He's like Kevin James, amusing and funny. His lectures are always summarized & concise. He always uses relevant examples and personal stories to explain concepts.

Dr. Campbell is one of the best profs I have ever had! He's very clear with his expectations. Best lectures, NOT BORING. For PSYCH1000, the way he teaches you really do not need the textbook AT ALL unless you really want a 90+. I was able to receive a good grade with just studying his lectures. If you can take a class with him. TAKE IT! HES AMAZIN

Psych 2035 is the first Psych course I have ever taken, and all I can say is John Campbell is the ABSOLUTE best. Course material is easy, just memorize the info on his slides and you're golden. He's very organized, provides you with all the material you need for the exam, and his sarcasm gets the whole class laughing at least 10 times per lecture.

Just memorize all his slides and you'll be good, but there's quite a bit of info on the slides though. More importantly: this guy's hilarious and really good at explaining stuff. 100% recommend

I don't say this lightly, awesome professor! Honestly the only class I enjoyed going through, even if it was at 7pm!

It was annoying being in the 7-10pm on Mondays cause you know... dollar beers;) but I never skipped because I loved his lectures SO much and he always finished basically an 45 mins early anyways. Proff Campbell has really interesting lectures and the topics covered in the class were very interesting, he makes funny comments during lectures which keeps the class interesting. However he can struggle making slides work properly and accessible for the students. He bases the exams mostly based off the textbook so be ready to read.

great professor! keeps the class interesting and you can tell he loves what he does. a little textbook heavy, but not too bad. I recommend going to the classes, they're only once a week and it really helped me for the midterms and exam.

This professor had super engaging lectures, and it is the only course I have ever taken without missing a single lecture. The exams were fair, and mainly based off of the textbook with some references to things discussed in class. Could not recommend this professor more.

Lectures don't even feel like lectures, if you're really interested in psych it's just a giant seminar with a lot of fun and interactive activities which makes the learning even more fun and comprehensive, plus the dude's absolutely hilarious.

Dr Campbell is the absolute GOAT of psychology. His lectures were so interesting he made 2 hours go by in a heartbeat. Lots of fun games and videos, he explains things very thoroughly that you can learn all the material by just watching the lecture. He yaps and interacts with students and makes everyone feel valued. Quite literally the bees knees!

Fav Professor. Lectures were funny, entertaining, and informative. The exam was hard, I'm not sure how many questions he actually created for it. The weighting for this class is very weird. Labs and quizzes take up lots of time and they're not worth a lot. He always got us out early and was very engaging. definilty on of the best professors

Wouldn't necessarily say it is a bird course, but def one of my lesser demanding courses. Make good notes and quizlets and you'll be good! :)
