Great class for beginners. Professor Cejka kept the class entertaining. He gets experience students involved. If you are new to finance this class will help understand many things related to investments, credit, retirement, etc. Just make sure that you read the chapters, because it will help you with the tests.

This teacher is such an amazing teacher he really does care and the most important thing to remember is to b honest! Most of the class could be self taught because tests and all assignments are on D2L but his lectures are great. The guy is a riot with really great stories that actually apply to the class and even though it was looooong (3 hour lecture) he made it fly because he was funny and really interesting. Group project was horrible though & very unclear

The class could have easily been online, since the assignments were all done and submitted online, but his stories were entertaining and made the time fly. He was really nice and helpful and was straightforward. He was a fair grader and he was always willing to help. Seemed like he would be a cool guy outside of school.

I highly recommend this professor if you struggle in accounting. Accounting has a lot of homework and its takes a lot of time. This is the only professor i know that had all his students in a chat group together. This allowed you to get help with homework and ask whatever questions you like.

Those three consecutive bad reviews are probably from one person who's grade Cejka doesn't bump up. All accounting professors will make you "self-learn" most of the time. That being said, go with cejka and just try to find someone to do the tests with or study with before tests and you're guaranteed to pass with a B at least. Got 2 A's in both acc

Professor Cejka's class was a great experience and coming from a business major, I preferred his teaching methods over other professors. I appreciated his lectures, as he made it understandable by correlating the text to the business world. He was very helpful outside of class and was mindful to everyone's everyday life. Overall, he is GREAT!

Hard class just due to the type of material. Good professor, lecture time isn't long. Mostly it's learn yourself and the professor does recommend the class use WhatsApp that allows students to help each other out throughout the semester (this is a life saver for this class). Really good professor, 4 sections of hw per chapter and 9 tests, all done online on cengage. He makes the class form a group chat of WhatsApp and that's super helpful. If you don't pass this class it's because you didn't try. Take him.

Wow, what can I say? Prof. Cejka is an amazing professor! He teaches the class from the prospective of a businessman and is very knowledgeable in accounting. This is an accounting class so it is not easy but Prof. Cejka makes it less daunting. There is a midterm, final, weekly HW and quizzes. He breaks down the material so that you understand it and wants you to pass. If you do the work then you will pass. Take this professor if you want to pass.

The 12 week course consisted of completing all of the homework on Cengage and 4 tests. Professor Cejka is always accessible outside of class! I wake up at 4:45am and take a 40 minute drive to make it to his 6:00am class. Was hesitant to put myself through this but it's 100% worth it. You're going to make some sacrafices while taking this class but in the long run it'll pay off. He gives his students every single resource they need to pass. Professor Cejka is so amazing! Take him!!!!! I had him during the summer for blended class. The assignments and tests have to be done online. The assignments were easy and prepped you for the tests. The tests are online and timed. He is caring and will help you out if you need anything! The only reason I didn't put a 2 is because it is accounting.

Truth is this was my second time taking this course and I must say the way professor Cejka explains things in real-life allowed me to understand the lectures best. In Pearson there are (2 HW, 1 Extra credit, and 1 Test) per week after chapter 4. If you are not a math person like myself make sure you do the extra credit - it made a big difference.

Amazing professor! funny and easy to reach outside of class times. Explains topics in a real-world way that helps you understand the subject. This class uses Pearson MYLab & Mastering which takes a little bit of work to get used to, but as long as you do the reading and attend class you will do well. Best accounting professor I have had!

Amazing professor, took him for ACG2001 also, he always listens to the questions we ask and gives real world examples that help more then the textbook examples. Be prepared to do the work though he does not re-open assignments after the due dates, but in exchange there is extra credit opportunities for every chapter.

This was my third course with professor Cejka after Accounting I and II. He is an amazing professor and will make you understand accounting. Test are easy, still accounting and a lot of math but if you pay attention during class you will easily get a good grade.
