Prof. Chorn is one of the best prof I have had. He is very very helpful and really knows his material. He is very easy and allows you to make up tests, quizzes ect. AND SPELLING DOESNT COUNT HECK YES.

He is one of the best teachers i took. I usually try and advice anyone who is taking A&P to take it with him. He is the best there is, and he has no temper.

HE HAS NO TEMPER. 1 of the best A & P professors. I enjoyed the class a whole lot. His tests are not hard but you have to study, visit the lab a couple of times and you wont regret taking his class. He will usually tell you on what to concentrate on(very helpful). I urge everyone to enroll in his classes.

Ver easy going and very helpful. He would be at the open anantomy lab on the weekends to help students prior to the test. We both did very well in his class.

Dr. Chorn is freaking awesome. It's good to know that JCCC has one teacher that makes up for the others that aren't so great. Chorn makes the class interesting and keeps everyone motivated. There are six tests but the material isn't cummulative. Grading is very fair. This man will rock your anatomical face off!

Well, this is a professor that actually cares about his students. I wish he taught more classes, because he would be my first choice. He is very knowlegeable and if he doesn't know something, he will look it up.

Awesome teacher. Class is pretty hard but its human anatomy and physicology what do you expect. Just got to class, MEMORIZE, and read the text book and you will do just fine.

BEST ANATOMY TEACHER! I previously took A&P somewhere else and had a horrible teacher and ended up with a C. I re-took the class with him and have an A. He's very clear, very very helpful and patient. You can get an A so easy just STUDY and go to open lab-he's there to help you! Don't take A&P with anyone else!

I'm so glad that I've him for human anatomy. He's really patience, nice, and helpful. The material itself is quite hard but I think he knows his material quite well. He'll take time to explain if you need some help. He gives extra credit for every test&quiz. Highly recommended!!!

I can clone these Guy for all my classes if i had the money. He comes to school at night to helo out if you need it. he is in on saturday and sunday close to the test. You put in the effort you will fly in this class best teacher ever!!

Mr.Chorn is great, all you have to do in this class is stay a little to go over the lab, he gives you time every single day to do that, tests are all memorization, it is extremely easy and anyone can get an A in this class

Dr. Chorn is very willing to help students and is a excellent teacher! I would take this class every semester if I could!

Mainly your grade comes from your tests. He does 10 quizes that makes up 1 test grade (helpful). Study the LAB part, this becomes very useful come test day. Not a lot of scheduled homework, but you MUST study to do well, tests are 50% lecture questions and 50% lab questions. Overall enjoyed him, he does know what he is teaching very well.

Outstanding Professor, very fair. If you attend class, pay attention and study alittle, you will do fine. I HIGHLY recommend him! You will NOT be disappointed.

He is a really cool guy and a really good teacher. After his lectures are done he will let you stay in class and he will help you learn models. His tests are all multiple choice and he puts a lot of extra credit on them. I highly recommend taking him if you need to take anatomy.

I will highly recommend this teacher. He teaches the class like you have no prior knowlege of anatomy, which was helpful for me. I recommend to spend plenty of time in lab learning from the models and you will do well.

I really liked John. He was helpful and I did really well in his class. Your grade is based on 6 tests thats the last one being the final, which is not comprehensive and a couple of homework assignments and 12 quizzes. Your best 10 are counted. On the tests and quizzes he offers extra points to help you incase you miss some.

Awesome! Top 10 quizes (you know in advance), 6 tests all w/ extra credit, no comp final and a few easy homework assign. You have access to all powerpoints. Attend a plus but not required. He is not one of those know-it-alls that you find in some science courses. Will go out of his way to help! Dry humor, but overall absolutely awesome!

He's a good instructor. The subject is very hard. About half the class dropped out, the half that remained made it out with at least a B. Show up, do your work, and study, no other choice with AP.

OMG best teacher i have had at jccc. If taking a&p i would highly recommend him. Was veeeeery willing to help; infact he always came (and was the only teacher who did)to the open lab to see if people had questions. The class aint easy but Dr. Chorn tries to make it managaeble. He always had extra credit for his exams. Would highly recommed

Dr Chorn is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. Very fair, extra credit chances on every test and quiz, and he cares about his students and their success. Definitely spend time in the open lab learning the models before the test, study the power points and you will do well. Highly recommend, take him for your A&P!!

Very fair and gives students every opportunity to get a good grade. Always available before/after class and during lab to answer questions. Has a good sense of humor.

I suggest you pay attention to the power points. Much of the test questions came from the power points. Studying for the frequent quizzes prepared me for the exams.

This guy is great. By far the most organized teacher I have had in 2 years. Everything on the tests are in the study guides or power points. Uses good analogies to explain things. Fair amount of extra credit. Fisrts class I've had where no one dropped out. I learned an amazing amount in his class. Every techer should use him as a role model.

John Chorn is a very good professor. The class is well laid out, and he definitely knows what he is lecturing about. Human A&P is a tough subject in general, but professor Chorn will help you learn. Attendance and main textbook (not the manual) are mandatory. Use the SCI Resource Center and Open Anatomy Lab for free for studying and tutoring.

Dr. Chorn was arguably my favorite teacher at JCCC. Being a pre-med student he was very influential in my educational experience while I was at JCCC, and really truly cares about teaching students. He goes above and beyond to help you grasp the content, and there is alot of it. He makes this subject as easy as he possibly can for you.

Super nice professor! It is a tough class, and you have to study constantly, but you learn a ton and he helps you with whatever you need.

Hands down BEST professor! Mr. Chorn is very kind, helpful and funny. A lot of hard work is involved, but Mr. Chorn makes everything very clear and even fun! He uses alot of information from power point and will even provide you with a structure list. Reading the chapter is also helpful but not always necessary depending on the individual.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chorn to anyone taking biol 144. He understands that life can be crazy and he'll let you make up exams, quizzes and hw. He's laid back and he makes it interesting.

I am not going into medicine. I took this as a gen ed requirement, but I learned a lot and fun doing it. Chorn is very sweet and informal. Also humorous. I highly recommend!

Human Anatomy and Physiology is not easy for me. However, Dr. Chorn makes it interesting and provides all the necessary tools and lots of lab time to make a high grade if you are willing to put in the work. He is very helpful and wants his students to succeed. I highly recommend Dr. Chorn's class.

Dr. Chorn is an amazing teacher. He lets you know EXACTLY what he expects out of you. There are no surprises. He goes out of his way to make sure every student gets help if they need it. He is an amazing guy & by far the best teacher I have ever had!

He's a wonderful instructor who makes sure that people understand the material. Tests are not difficult if you study for them. Quizzes and homework are easy points too. I would highly recommend for you to become familiar with class models and to use the study guides.

All tests are multiple choice,but to earn the grade you have to STUDY a lot, my weekends were spent in the science resource lab with the models. He gives you a sturcture sheets for lab tests and basically know eveything on it and you will pass. On lecture test, print of all powerpoints and study and you'll do fine. STUDY,SHOW UP,DO THE WORK

Professor Chorn is a wonderful instructor. The lecture part of his tests were pretty difficult for me, but the labs were cake! There are quizzes often to make sure you don't try to study it all last minute. He is really thorough with the material and tries to make it as interesting as he can. Good instructor! I'd recommend him to anyone

Human anatomy and Physiology class.Dr. Chorn tries his best to make sure that we consume the hard material. PowerPoint he created for each chapter is your study guide. Understand the material from the instruction list, study for quizzes, and do your lab homework, go to the science lab and study with the book for lecture test, you can get an easy A.

Very helpful!! On tests/quizes he gives you extra questions to help you get a better score. For example, 12 or 13 tries to get the allotted 10 maximum you can get correct giving you a %100. I've never cared to "rate my professors" but he's made such an outstanding impact on my education, it was only right that I did. Won't regret taking his class!

I took Mr. Chorn's class for anatomy and physiology, and he is one of the best professors I've come across so far at JCCC. My class was 730-1050am MWF, but he never kept us that long! This class is obviously not an easy class, but if you put the time in and study hard you are almost guarenteed an A. I definitely reccomend him!

Professor Chorn is a very good teacher of Human Anatomy & I would recommend his class to anyone who wants to learn. He makes it easy to learn, but only if you want to. The power points help you to take notes during the lectures, but you will need to read the book because there you will find information that is not on the power points.

Dr. Chorn is by far the best professor teaching anatomypysiology! His lectures are very clear and tells you everything that you need to know for the test. The best part is he gives you majority of the class time to work with the models if needed. It's an easy A if you take the time to learn it, by far the besteasiest professor to learn from :)

Basically if you are lucky enough to have a choice of taking this professor or not for human anatomy and physiology, you had Better hurry up and take him! By far the best professor I have ever had. If you have to take it this class, take it with John Chorn. It is very hard not to get and A if you: show up to class, do the work, and study. There is review before the test. He is very invested in his students and them understanding the material. Great class!!

Professor Chorn is the best professor, hands down, that I have ever had at Juco. He is very direct about what is going to be on the test and doesn't throw out those crazy questions that were sporadically placed on some picture caption in the book. Get ready to ready to read, as long as you put in the effort you can get a good grade in the class.

Chorn's class is the best A&P experience at JCCC. This is the guy that everyone is talking about. You have to attend class, you have to study and have to take academics seriously... If you do all three, you'll get an A with no problem. I literally had a 100% in the class with the extra credit he offers. He's dry at first but warms up and is funny!

Prof Chorn is fantastic... He's a polished professional and is a fantastic teacher. I learned a great deal. He warmed up slow, but turned out to have a great personality and our class was a blast! Make sure you ask him questions and get him out of his shell early. You'll learn and ton and have a great time!

Most of your time will be spent in lecture with little lab time, but he recommends you study the lab portion in the SRC. 12 quizzes, 2 lowest scores are dropped. 6 exams, no cumulative final. *LOVED Chorn. First class back to college in 8+ years. He's funny, patient, will repeat/explain more if needed, really wants his students to understand and pass. Very lenient for having homework in on time. Super easy-going, answers emails fast. Lectures got shorter as the semester went on. Never takes entire class time, hands on helper. Awesome.

Legitimate to the core. This guy knows his stuff and he knows how to tell it. Take him if you can. You'll be happy you did.

Really nice guy, but the class is boring as hell. Don't skip class, the lectures are the test. Review the powerpoints extensively before you take the test. He does like to put every detail on the tests and stuff people typically skip over when studying so be very thorough with what you study.

Mr. Chorn is really an amazing teacher. He is fair and will let you make up any HW and quizzes missed, even after the final has been taken. I would recommend taking his night class instead of mornings, he has a dry sense of humor but he really is a nice and caring teacher. I went through some hell mid semester and he was very understanding.

I really enjoyed taking A&P with Professor Chorn. I was taking an extremely heavy course load but I still ended up getting an acceptable grade. You should show up to class but he does not require it. He gives plenty of opportunity to get a good grade as well. His tests are multiple choice and he's a great teacher. I would recommend him!

I loved taking A&P with Dr. Chorn. It was my first class back in a classroom since 2010 and he is soooo incredibly helpful. He will explain things over and over again if you need him to, he prepares you for the tests if you show up for class, his homework was very straightforward and all around amazing teacher. I would absolutely recommend him.

I love John. He is a paleontologist and he looks just like the guy from Jurassic Park! Amazing person and teacher. I would recommend him to anyone. He is organized and clear and also very easygoing.

I was concerned when I didn't do as well as I wanted to on the first test. I went up to him the next class and voiced by worries. He gave me guidance for how to have success on the next tests. I did a lot better after that! It's still a hard class but he is such a genuine guy & really cares about his students. I'm honestly really sad its over!

He gives you clear outlines for the quizzes and tests and covers everything in his lectures. I got an A although I definitely had to put the time and effort in. Considering the subject, there was a ton to memorize. He was always available if I was fuzzy on anything. He truly cares about his students. Extra credit opportunities.

I would take this professor again any day! He really wants his student to do well and lectures and tests accordingly. Pay attention during his lectures and he tells you what to study to do well. It is a LOT of material, but if you study hard, you will do well. He is incredibly flexible and understanding. His dry sense of humor was a hoot!

Excellent Professor Really cares about students and their success. Always available to answer any questions. Only criticism would be not a lot of grades to help offset test scores, but he grades on a curve and gives extra credit.

Majority of class is spent lecturing but he lets class out early if he finishes ahead of schedule(he stays in the classroom for the rest of the time; this is a great time to stay back if you need extra help with the lesson).He really wants his students to succeed, he offers extra credit, gives ten mitigating questions every exam(all multiplechoice)

He's a great professor. He really wants to make sure you make a good grade in the class and gives you multiple opportunities and extra credit to do so. If you just take the time to learn the material, there is no reason you can't get a good grade. There is a lot of information to learn, but he will take the time to help you.

Great professor who cares about you and your success. Need to take a test with a different class due to your schedule? He will let you. Multiple stops to make sure you are understanding the lecture.

He understands that there are other classes and life stuff going on outside of the class. Flexible with homework and extra credit turn in, but wants you to do honest hard work. Can skip a couple classes and survive. Lets you make up graded material. Class requires some dedication, but you can get a really good grade out of it.

Dr Chorn is a well respected and has a sense humor when teaching the subject. Always there to help if you ha e any questions. Like him due to his teaching skills.
