Really smart guy & a very easy class

If you can get past him repeating every other word, you'll do fine

Even though he repeats his words, he is still very pleasant to listen to. His test are about all info in class,so write everything down that he says.

Grades very easily... Kinda boring

pretty easy. you could miss 12 classes without it hurting you. if youre a good writer youll get an A

I really enjoyed Dr. Cussen. He is a wonderful storyteller and can really get into the meaning of fiction.

Long classes with this man drag out horribly, however, he is one of the better profs I have ever had. He is very easy to work with and will probably not fail, you unless you try to.

easy class, can miss up to 6 days without penalty. tests are matching, read short stories...very easy

I thought this class would be difficult and boring, but it was the exact opposite. The teacher is very lenient. This is one of the General Education classes that I could actually stay awake for.

I told all of my friends to take him for class because he is so easy. But, he is as equally as boring. Lenient with attendance and late work; repeats himself a lot and forgets what he has said in previous classes.

very easy, very nice, can be boring, but easy a without even attending class, kinda sexy in a brainy way, nice person, never had a pet, whoever gave him a bad rating was a total moron, hes not at all hard or unfair, that student must be an idiot!

He is a good teacher with a high level of understanding in literature and I must say that he is quite a story teller! You don't even have to read the short stories for class, if you attend he will give you an equally detailed synopsis in laymen's terms. Repeats everything twice, that gets old.

Read the stories, know the authors, characters, and some details about each...easy "A." Very knowledgeable about literature. Easy attendance policy, but sticks to it so don't be fooled! I had a lot of fun in this class. I'm taking him again next semester.

He's a really nice guy! The class was decent and the stories to read are kind of interesting.

This guy is one of the best professors I ever had. He has a great sense of humor, and I didn't find him in the least bit boring. Screw all you idiots who thought the class was bad, because I, for one, learned alot, and enjoyed the class very much.

His class is really boring but easy. Never any homework. The quizzes are easy.

i'd suggest taking this class if it was offered in the afternoon. taking a class with this guy at 9AM drives me to drink. very easy though.

He is an excellent teacher and a kind human being. He adjusts the difficulty of his classes to meet student needs. He is fair and interested in seeing his students do well. Unlike many EUP professors, he genuinely cares about teaching.

A teeny tiny sweet old guy with a strong New Jersey accent. You can tell this guy knows a lot about literature. It's a pretty easy class, and if you have a choice between taking it with him or with Janet "The Anti-Christ" Kinch, this would be the man!

Such a sweet old man. Class is so easy. If you read most of the short stories and plays you'll get an A as a final grade. Can miss class 6 times and still be okay. Be ready for random stories every class..you will often leave class thinking he's completely insane but overall good professor!

Absolutely loved his class. He repeats himself over and over, but it's kind of endearing and funny. An easy class as long as you do the work. Quizzes every class, but they are extremely easy. I highly recommend this class to any one considering it.

A friendly, helpful, and at times amusing professor, breaks down material at a good pace and makes it easy to understand. Several small quizzes, but you will ace them all if you read the stories.

very simple class if you do the readings your told to. the professor is very nice and easy to get along with. his class is interesting and i would definitely take a class from him again

Dr.Cussen is a very smart man. He will help you become a better writer without consuming all of your free time.

Took him for Intro to Lit online for Summer course. A lot of discussion and is quite strict on grammar and use of language. However, work hard and you will be rewarded. Learned a lot about literature though! Also, quick to respond to e-mails! A+

great professor, he is always willing to work with you if you do not understand something. he gives a lot of advice on what to write for papers, if you follow the advice you will be more than fine.

Dr. Cussen is amazing. He's a funny elderly guy who really cares about his students and it shows. He is very helpful and will take the time to assure you get a good grade. Would reccomend to anyone anyday.

Dr. Cussen is an amazing professor! Very sweet and caring man. You take daily quizzes but as long as you skim the readings they will seem simple! I definitely recommend taking a class with him!

For the class all you have to do is take daily 10 question quizzes on short readings, one three page paper and two major tests. On the quizzes, cussen sometimes gives hints that links questions together. He is also a likeable and funny person. I highly recommend him.

This guy is an absolute boss. The quizzes in the class are nothing to fear, as he hinted at some of the answers. As long as you look at the story beforehand, you won't have to do much else in class. You can miss 6 days of class, but I went every day because he is a LEGEND.

The sweetest man ever! He loves to tell stories about growing up. Assignments grading is very easy and not a difficult workload. Definitely recommend taking Cussen!

Great teacher, very understanding and not too demanding which I liked since I am not a confident writer. Makes me feel like a good writer and doesn't make me feel embarassed to turn in a paper.

He is so nice!! Very easy class for an English class! He helps you ALOT, and returns assignments back to you quick! You have to complete one paper all semester (roughly 8 pages or less just depends) that you work on DURING class, very nice guy who really cares about the students. I hope to be able to take another class with him. NO TEXTBOOK

I took his ESL class, which is English class for international students. He was nice and kind. He always answered me when I ask something while class and office hour and also, he really care me, how is college life going and I had a tea with him in a library. However, he has corrected some parts in my essay where is he already corrected sometime.

Only 1 research paper. About 8 pages. VERY glad I took him. You're given class time to work on research paper. He's a nice old guy! Kinda awkward.... Finished with A

Dr. Cussen is one of the best professors I've had. He's considerate, helpful, and brings a good sense of humor to our two and a half hour night class. His Intro to Fiction course has multiple readings but short and interesting. Tests are easy if you attend class and pay attention to lecture. He's open to discussion and is overall a great educator.

Loved this class. Had him for 101. Cussen is quite a character. He likes to tell stories in class. The papers are pretty easy to write even though there are many of them. Very easy and fun class.

Very nice professor. You are asked to write a paragraph a week and he gives you an outline of what each sentence should be. If you ask him to check your work before you submit, you will get an A . You can miss up to 4 classes and he cancels class pretty often. Minimum effort and you don't need a book/folder. If you want an easy A, take him.

Very clear on what he expects in the papers. Liked the way he split the due dates of the research paper: if forced you to write the paper in chunks. Learned HOW to write a paper. Gives class time to write.

Dr. Cussen is a very good professor. I enjoyed his class and did very well in it. I have recommended him to all my friends. I would definitely take a class with him again. He also gives great feedback on papers which is super helpful.

Great guy! Super nice and funny. The intro to fiction course was super easy and we read quite a few good short stories. You take a quiz every class about the passage read, but he basically gives you the answers when reviewing the story in class.

Took an online class & really appreciated that he uploads lectures, a practice many online professors don't follow. There's a lot of reading & quizzes, but if you have strong reading comprehension, you'll do well. He was very responsive to emails and worked with me when I experienced a death in the family. Good professor & cares for his students.

easiest class ive ever taken. go to class and get the attendance grade but he doesn't lecture much and theses not a lot of assignments at all and his papers are super easy and not super time consuming.
