Excellent Professor, the material is difficult, but he is willing to work (even after office hours) to go over the material. Excellent professor and would take him again!

I had this teacher back at GCC in 1996 for a computer class. He was awesome. Almost 10 years later I still remember advice he told me. He is a class act, top notch. Take him if you have the chance.

Dallmus is very straight forward professor but he demands a lot from his students.He challenges and has very high standards, so if you can live up to it and study hard you will definitely learn a lot in his class.Although he seems to be a nice person, he follows rules like his life depends on it and never consideres the "human" element in situation

Difficult class, and he covers a ton of material. I really enjoyed having him as a professor, and he knew the material cold, but it was a lot of work to get through. He is fair on grades, and is good at explainations.

Great teacher. Lecture is boring, but he tries to make it fun. Extremely hard exams, broken in 2 days, but as long as you study the book and his case assignments you will do ok. Very helpfull if you have question,s quick email response.

Lectures can be dry/boring, but Prof Dallmus has a great sense of humor. The man KNOWS acctg! You will have to work hard (it's college!), but Prof D WILL recognize and reward your efforts with fair grading! Probably the best ACC 326/327 prof at West campus.

Accounting is dry and difficult, Professor Dallmus is not. You may hate the course but not because of Dallmus, he's funny, helpful, and fair. Our lowest quiz was dropped, our exams were curved... I'll put it this way, he won't be the reason your grade is low.

Professor Dallmus is super easy to understand. It is just the material that is hard to get. That is just accouting though. Very very dry. Professor Dallmus passed back work very timely and his test are based on your quiz and case studies.

Best acct course I have ever taken. Prof D is engaging and clever. Make sure you focus on the demo's he gives and not on the book.

Class was pretty well organized and mateial was easy to understand as long as you actually read the book and do the homework. This is not a class that you can blow off and pass. He provides tons of resources to master the material and both he and the TAs were very helpful. Recommend taking it online with Dallmus. Got an A.

Such a helpful teacher and very organized class! Solid Footing text is extremely helpful, myaccountinglab can be tough but if you stay on top of readings it should be a breeze. There are chances for extra credit. 3 exams, weekly hw and quizzes. If you fail, you didn't try and it's not because of Dallmus.

Dallmus is a really nice and caring professor. Definitely read the book, this class isn't an easy A unless you do the work. Would recommend him.

Really nice professor. The online homework was very helpful in understanding concepts, but all of the tests are based on the handouts (factsheets) he gives out in class and the quizzes are based on his lectures. I highly recommend going to every single class. Not an easy A class, but no accounting class is. If you don't understand, ASK him!!

Read the book, then the lectures, and do your homework and quizzes before the last minute. He was super helpful especially for an online professor. Very happy with Professor Dallmus!

Dallmus is one of the most incredible people/teacher you will ever know at ASU. He is completely down to earth and the most helpful teacher I have ever had at ASU. I took his class in person and online do the online it is easier because you have plenty of free time for study and you can always email him for anything!! AMAZING MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took the accelerated, 7 week online version of ACC 241. Professor Dallmus was extremely kind and helpful and responded to emails quickly. The best thing about this class was that the tests were online; I think it would have been a much more difficult course if they were in person. So glad I took it online with him! Keep up and you'll be fine.

Would highly recommend over Levendowski's class. I feel that the over all content is a lot clearer than what was made in Levendowski's class. Highly recommend if you're retaking after failing Levendowski's class... If not, then take this version of the class it's a lot more organized and Dr. Dallmus is very quick at responding emails.

He is by far the best professor I have had at ASU for any accounting course. I had him for ACC 440 and 340 and he knows what he is talking about. Tests are like the in class probelms. Study those and you will do just fine in the course. He is always helpful and I would recommend anyone to take his course! It is not an easy A, you must work at it!

I took the accelerated 7 week course online. Professor Dallmus is one of the most intelligent professors at ASU. You must learn course concepts rather than root memorization. He is extremely helpful and will respond to emails in minutes. His course is very time consuming however, I learned an incredible amount. Great man!

Dallmus is one of the best professors I've had. He's extremely clear, verbal, helpful. Very fortunate to have had him as my professor.

Mr. Dallmus is by far my favorite professor at ASU! He is incredibly knowledgeable about accounting and has all the notes neatly prepared for you to print out or pull up on your computer before class begins. He has a "heads up" approach so you aren't having to listen and right down a bunch of notes but instead follow along as he lectures.

Took the in-class ACC 231 with him in the summer, then his hybrid ACC 241(online lecturesin-class exams). He is exceptionally knowledgable about the subject, and is also a really decent person. Accounting is just a difficult subject, but he will go out of his way to make sure you understand the material, and will sometimes curve testsquizzes.

ACC 241 is an easy class, and Prof. Dallmus makes it even easier with his super simple exams. If you read the book, even skimmed it, you won't fail. There are weekly online assignments but they're incredibly easy and don't take long. He also responds to questions within minutes via email, even if it's 1 in the morning. Take this class.

I took Professor Dallmus for 340 this past fall, and am taking him again for 440 this spring. I think he is an amazing professor and is extremely easy to understand. Although the course is at night and three hours, he makes it fun. I will take him again and would recommend him to anyone!

I took the 7 week online class with the tests in person. The quizzes and homework are online which are easy points. I found the in person tests to be somewhat difficult, but that is just me. He allows you to use a note card with information on the one side. Type out your notes really small and print them. This allows for more info on your card.

Accounting is not an easy subject so be prepared to study and do homework, however, Professor Dallmus is understanding and he is always willing to help his students!!! Definitely take him for accounting!

Bar FAR one of my favorite professors at ASU. I never really had a professor that I really liked, but I reached out even in office hours and I dont regret it. He's an understanding guy and his humor is right up my alley. The homework is unlimited tries and quizzes based on lecture and book. Tests are fair. Ask questions if you dont understand.

He was one of my favorite professor I had in my entire time at ASU. Very fair and the tests and quizzes were easily relatable to the lectures. He gives all sorts of opportunities for help and is overall just a really good man.

I took ACC 231 and 241 online with him. I took 241 online because I was so happy to be done with 231 so early (7-week). But, LOTS OF WORK. I didn't ask for help on anything because his lessons were so well designed and explained. I don't know that I could have gotten such a good grade in the courses without his clarity and reasonable tests!

I took the shortened condensed 7 week version. There was plenty of homework and busy work. But, the class is well structured to where all you have is your online homework/quizzes due twice a week and then 3 tests. The tests are tough and make up the large percentage of your grade. Overall, I was happy to have this class for only 7 weeks.

If you have a heavy workload DO NOT take this class online!! HW Assignment and Quiz TWICE a week that are time consuming. No exceptions for missing assignments, he does not drop the lowest score of any assignments; 12 hw and 12 quizzes. If you miss any it really hurts your grade. 3 exams all required in person, NO CURVE.

Dallmus is definitely one of the best accounting professors at ASU. His lectures consist of going over problems that help prepare you for the exam. Despite being a difficult course, I very much enjoyed his class (despite having horrible experiences with accounting in the past). Read the chapters, go over his problems, and you'll be fine.

Took the B session Accounting 241 class. It is very fast paced and you have to be on top of yourself to do well. His test are very difficult, even thought he gives you a practice test. There are 12 hw and 12 quizzes (you will have at least 2 a week), so be prepared because he does not drop the lowest test. He does allow you a notecard on the test.

Professor Dallmus is by far one of my favorite professors I've had throughout college. His tests are a bit tough but as long as you are a responsible student and study, you will do fine. I highly recommend John to anyone, and really wish I had more classes with him in the future. Take him you will learn a ton and not be disappointed.

This class has very clear lecture notes and videos, after you study the material well you can finish your homework very easy. I don't think the tests are tough, if you review your past homework and do the practice exam, review materials. Textbook is not very necessary. Highly recommend!

Must practice demonstration problems constantly if you want to do well. Also reading textbook is very helpful but its very hard to understand. Lectures are great but class is so long you can lose focus. Tests part mcq's and work out problems. To get a good grade you must either practice constantly or just have a real knack for accounting

Really great professor, took session B online and got an A+ with a lot of effort. However, some people barely put any and still got high Bs and low As. Either way, really easy class, would take again.

Dallmus is a great professor, very caring and knowledgeable. ACC 231 and 241 are organized and planned out. The material can be tough to grasp, but working through all the MAL chapter study plans helps to give a solid understanding. He was prompt when responding to students' questions, gives more information that necessary to promote learning.

Good course

Not only one of the best Professors at ASU, but one of the best people you will ever meet. Tests require you to learn what he's actually trying to teach you - Put the effort in and they're winnable, but not easy. He'll bend over backwards to help you as you long as you put in the effort.

Great professor. Even though only interaction was when you show up to take the exams in person, he extremely friendly and you can tell that he cares about his students. Overall a great guy and would be excited to take another class with him.

Professor Dallmus is very fair. His exams are very similar to the homework and quiz questions you see in the weekly assignments. Lectures are kind of boring but its accounting so it isn't exactly an exciting course. Do ALL of the homework and quizzes and study for the exams and you'll get a good grade. He curves the exam scores which can help a lot

I took the summer Online Class which was an accelerated pace. Homework & quizzes due within days of each other. However the materials, reading, homework and quizzes PROPERLY PREPARED you for the each exam. So as long as you do the homework & quizzes and make an effort to read and understand the material you are sure to pass.

Professor Dallmus had a great layout of the online course. You'll be reading a lot if you take the online course. The tests were quite difficult, but if you put more time into the concept reviews and homework you won't have a problem. Overall he's a great professor and I would recommend him to anyone!

Prof Dallmus is a great teacher, and I enjoyed watching the videos he makes for each chapter. With that being said, reading is critical in this course. Accounting isn't going to be easy with anyone, and you really have to work to pass this course. Make sure to do any practice sections on MAL before each exam and you'll be fine.

ACC241 is definitely not an easy course, esp as a session B (or A), and if it's online, there's guaranteed to be a ton of reading no matter the prof. Still, Dallmus seemed very helpful & reasonable. He had study guides for exams, curved grades (like borderline ones at the end of the semester), & was quick to respond to emails. I would recommend!

Its definitely not an easy class but he gives you more than enough material to ensure you'll be ready for the tests!

Good teacher, everything is over MyAccountingLab and the 3 tests are on RPNow. Homework is time consuming quizes are cake. Tests are only thing in the way of an A

Dallmus explains the material well and is very approachable if you need help. Attend lectures because he gives out worksheets that are helpful for the tests. I recommend printing out the lecture slides as they are great study guides for exams. Quizzes are qualitative, so no calculations are made, and gives you a freebie on a question of choice.

The material wasn't too bad (easier than ACC231). There was homework every week and in class quizzes. Three tests (no cumulative final). Overall easy A but the professor was pretty boring during lectures.

Professor Dallmus is hands down the best professor I've had. As expected, a 400 level accounting class is always going to be tough, but if you put in the effort and ask questions he will be there to help you every time. He cares not only about your knowledge, but gives good tips for the future. Slight curves on exams to bring the class average up.

Took him over the summer. This was not an easy class, but Prof. Dallmus did a great job teaching and making it as easy as he could. He'll answer questions and help you out as much as he can if you put the effort in. Would 100% take him again if I hadn't passed for 16 weeks instead of 6.

I took the online ACC241 course and was satisfied overall. As with any online course, it requires consistent self-discipline and planning to successfully complete it. While the lectures are fairly monotone, he explains the material clearly. The homework assignments and quizzes are tedious, but not terribly difficult.

Take this professor. Even if you have to make the drive from tempe or whatever. I failed this class with a different professor. This class was relatively easy just because the way he sets it up. He curves all 3 exams. It did take some effort but not too much. For the exams,as long as you read the book & rewatch the online lectures then you'll pass.

The system for the accounting hw was down for a few days. Because of this, he pushed back the hw due, as well as the exam. Because he understands school, family, and work can keep us busy he pushed this all back a week later and arranged the whole course schedule to eliminate and make time for other topics. Quick to reply, friendly, and fun facts.

Accounting is boring. However... John Dallmus is a very organized instructor. He put a TON of time into preparing excellent PowerPoints. The lectures are packed with ONLY valuable and relevant information. Exceptional Professor. I would absolutely take him again. He gets the job done, and if you are an attentive student, you'll do well.

dont get me wrong, this class is extremely boring. dallmus does his best to keep us interesting & my commute from tempe was well worth it. he was funny, and did all he could to ensure we all pass. recommend going to class because material can be difficult if not. notecards on exams are very helpful. really good guy!

I didn't realize how hard this class would be, but I have to say I'm glad I took it with Professor Dallmus. I really thought this might be the class that holds me back from my major and I'm so grateful I passed. Usually 2 homeworks and 2 quizzes due each week along with 3 exams overall. Prof worked to extend deadlines after MAL technical issues.

This class was extremely difficult for me and there were times I truly thought that I would fail. However, Professor Dallmus is very knowledgable about the subject and he is caring towards his students. He presents the subject well, it was just difficult for me to grasp. Definitely worth taking the shuttle from Tempe to Glendale.

Professor Dallmus is actually the best. I am not great at accounting let's just say, but Professor Dallmus really made sure to help as much as possible. He was always there to answer questions and help when needed. Super helpful when it came to borderline grades as well. The class was very time consuming and required a lot of work but is doable!

I had Dallmus before for ACC340 and if you have the option, just take him for all your accounting classes. He definitely cares about his students and is willing to go the extra mile to help. Exams are primarily 2-3 open-problems, but he grades generously through looking at your process rather than just the end result, often curving the exams.

On average, 2 HW assignments and corresponding quizzes each week. Definitely requires reading the textbook, watching videos, and time dedicated to practice and understand the material. Professor Dallmus is fair and understanding, as he curved all 3 exams based on class results. Opportunity for extra credit as well. I would definitely recommend!

Really nice person, so respect! I had Internet issue during the ACC 231 Exam , It stoped by internet disconnect . He believed me then gave me a chance to retake it , Got A finally. Difficult level I would say medium , if you put your hardworking there, You would get A for sure, Highly recommend !

Summer semester. 2 chapters a week (HW assignment and quiz with 2 tries for each) along with 3 exams total (each one 40 questions, proctored). He curves exams to set a class average of 75. Usually only bumps up 2 or 3 % but still very helpful. Great lectures (but long) with lots of resources to help you succeed.

I took his acc231 and acc241 over the summer. The course content is clear and he is understanding and responds to emails quickly. The homework was challenging, but it sets you up for success when the test comes. I couldn't imagine taking both my accounting classes with any other professor.

The best professor I met in ASU, he gave me confidence. And he is very different from other professor, when you met some problems in study, he will give you a lot of help and his tone of letter is warm and And he will add some pleasant expressions so you don't have to worry. He is the best professor I met!!

I regret taking this class online and as a session B but Dallmus was great! He was very good at responding to inquiries, posting announcements and responding to class feedback. He offered extra credit and generous curves ensuring our success in a somewhat difficult class. I wish I had the chance to take him in person.

Dallmus was awesome, making a difficult topic easier to understand. I enjoyed having him and he always curved the grades after the exam to make the class average 75%. The textbook makes homework WAY easier and you get better results. Plus Dallmus will be more lenient if he sees you are doing the homework.

Dallmus is an amazing professor. He is extremely understanding of online student's circumstances and will give extensions when warranted. He's also a great help if you're struggling with the material, which isn't easy but he provides plenty of support.

I just finished with a session B of his class. He provided us with curves on exams to average the class at a 75%. As well as up to 4% EC added onto your final grade for doing extra assignments. He responded to emails quickly and I struggled so hard in this class before but excelled this time! Definitely recommend!

Dallmus is great. Professional, caring, and understanding. Responds quickly to emails. Homework for B session on MAL was a LOT of work but ultimately helped me learn. Tests can be challenging but are similar to HW. Watch lectures, do HW and you'll be fine. Harder and more involved than Wolfe's 231, so look elsewhere if you want an easy A.

I took his class in summer and it was heavy. The exams were not difficult because they were tied to the practices, learn from practices and you gonna be fine. I spent time to read through the textbook since he talked very fast. However, he was willing to explain again if you ask. You really need to make a lot effort to earn good grade.

Accounting isn't for everyone, but this class was fair. A little intimidating initially, but soon you get a hang of how things work and what to focus on. Professor Dallmus answer any and all questions, and is really helpful. He won't make accounting more fun, but he doesn't hake it many worse than it needs to be.

Prof Dallmus is excellent. Take him if you have the opportunity. He wants to help you pass and will give you every opportunity to do so.

This class was pretty easy if you have taken ACC231 due to similarities. Prof Dallmus gives some Extra Credit, this is good but it takes a decent amount of time to complete. Prof Dallmus is fair when it comes to work and the results speak for itself. A solid tip is to use the Exam Study Guides to prepare for tests and exams.

The few questions I had for Professor Dallmus were answered quickly, succinctly, and effectively. He clearly cared about our ability to learn the information and was pleasant to speak with about the inner workings of accounting. I would recommend taking this course with him.

Dallmus is very fair and is quick to respond to emails, which is very important in an online setting. The subject of accounting is difficult, esp from a major outside the business school. However, if you do the homework, the tests will not be too hard. I did not study much outside doing the homework and did well. Fair grader and kind professor.

This class is difficult, but he does a great job at explaining it! He knows what he is talking about and uses great examples. If you go to class and do homework you will do great. Very understandable, wants you to succeed

Session B online, textbook reading is recommended - I read and it helped a lot. His lectures are definitely boring and monotone because he's reading off a script. But there's only 1 lecture (20-50 minutes long) for each chapter so it's not a lot. Tests aren't too difficult. Just read, practice/do hw, and you're good. He's a nice guy! Accessible!

Is ACC241 hard? Yes. Will it be time consuming? Yes. Is it doable? Yes. Professor Dallmus is probably the best Accounting Professor so if you have an option to take his class, do it. He's very helpful and if you complete all the homework and extra credit, you should do well in the class. Tests are pretty hard but they are multiple choice so study.

I don't think I would have done well in this class if it weren't for Professor Dallmus. The homework is super time-consuming which got really draining towards the end of the semester. Class content is not incredibly difficult, but expect to put a lot of time into studying for exams. Overall, super nice guy who cares about his students.

read the book, then watch the lectures, then attempt the homework. The material isn't hard, it is just a lot of detailed info you have to memorize, and it builds on itself. Be prepared to spend some time on this class, but the lectures and the book have everything you need.

Professor is very good and responsive, but Pearson MAL is an awful system! It takes hours (at least 10 for me) to complete the chapter homework at the worst part about it is that it does not even help you to understand the material. It is a terrible system, and unfortunately, the whole class tied to it (HW + Exams)

Dallmus is the most accommodating, kind professor I have come across. I had several medical emergencies this semester and Dallmus went out of his way to make sure I could do well in the course. Studying for the exams is a must, but Dallmus provides study materials as well as ample extra credit. I would highly recommend him!

I loved him as a teacher!! But the homework/extra work if you want extra credit takes forever- plan on spending four hours per chapter! I'm not kidding, this class as a B session was so. MUCH. work. But there's plenty of extra credit and he's kind enough to change the syllabus after MAL had issues. If you're good at time management, take him!!

Professor Dallmus was super helpful and really in it for the students. The entire class is through Pearson and when their systems went down preventing us from being able to submit assignments for close to a week and delaying the class he completely dropped one chapter and restructured the entire class. Offered extra credit and was very responsive.

It's a 400 level ACC course so it's going to be hard. John is the best professor you could possibly ask for. Tests are hard (no notes, long answer) but they're built off the practice problems so practice until you can do them from memory. Need the textbook for HW otherwise tests are all in-class material. Professor Dallmus is awesome! I was worried about taking a summer iCourse, but the format of the class is incredibly clear and he is super accessible and friendly. He gives extra credit opportunities if you work for them! If you had a decent time in ACC231, you should have no problem with this class.

Prof. Dallmus is a very caring teacher. And not all professors can say that they're good teachers. Acct 241 isn't an easy class, and the professor's videos come off a bit dry. That said, if you have any questions or problems with the homework or quizzes, he is accessible and will help you. There is also a couple of great tutors to tutor you.

You have to read the entire book and work VERY hard for this class, but that's how all the ACC courses are at ASU. I took 241 as an online summer session B, and I don't understand how anyone could do this with a full class load during a regular semester. Highly recommend Dallmus as a summer class to save your GPA!

ASU Sync Spring 21. All accounting classes requires a whole a lot of effort and paying attention to understand the subject, but this professor is good at teaching it. His lecture isn't the most interesting and it's a little bland/dry, but he gets to the point and he makes sure to help student understand the concept.

While the subject matter can be difficult to understand, Dallmus makes it fun. You can tell her really cares and don't be afraid to reach out to him for help! Would take him for every single class if possible.

His class is somewhat difficult but he is much better than all the other accounting professors at ASU. His class is hard but he drops the lowest test grade and curves all of the tests. taking this into account, I have about a 96% when I should have around an 80%. Highly recommend this professor.

Prof. Dallmus really loves accounting and it shows. He is a great teacher and is very accessible for help.He also responds quickly. He is the first teacher I have ever had who graded on a curve, which helped me tremendously! He also offers extra credit. You must do the work and keep up, as the class moves so quickly that you can't retain anything.

Accounting itself is a topic that takes a lot of time and effort to understand. Prof. Dallmus makes this clear about the work you need to put in to succeed. I took this as a six-week summer session, so the work was very dense. This being said, he is exceedingly fair and understanding. If you put in the time and effort, you will do fine.

Prof Dallmus was hands down the BEST online professor I've ever had. I've never had such a responsive and easily accessible online professor ever. ACC as a summer class was no joke. But because of how quick and thorough all his responses were I passed his class. He is an amazing teacher and I hope I get him again. Take his class you wont regret it!

Dallmus was by far the most responsive/involved professor I've ever had at ASU online. Massive amounts of extra credit available. Homework/quizzes do take forever. For tests, focus on each practice exam, they are very similar to the actual test. I still hate accounting, but Dallmus is the best option out there.

He may come off a little blunt online, but he is super nice!! He curves test scores so the class average stays 75% or better, and is super timely when responding to questions. Honestly one of the best professors I have had online.

By far the most attentive professor I have ever had. Even though it was an online course he always responded to every student within the hour. The class is set up to focus on actually learning, rather than just getting a grade. There's plenty of extra credit opportunities. If you take the practice exams and do the homework you should get an A.

Different types of resources for each particular learning style. Engaging and quick to respond to emails. He elaborates and breaks down complex concepts effectively. The course is intense and moves very quickly. Grading practices are fair and considerate. Highly recommend.

This class was a lot of busy work but the professor made it manageable. Course is structured in a way where its difficult to fail. Usually their 2hw/quiz assignments every week that take 2-4 hours each from watching lectures and doing it. Dallmus curves all exams, exams average ~68%. Practice Exams are nothing like the actual test. Great Teacher!

I'd been dreading this class for a year prior to taking it because I heard it's the first serious "make it or break it" accounting class. Dallmus was fantastic and always super helpful/quick with addressing questions/concerns. ACC 340 is a LOT of new info and challenging, but if you're determined to pursue accounting, it's absolutely possible.

This class is pretty difficult. If you want to be doing a lot of work then this is the class. I learned a ton but it was a lot of studying. In addition the exams are pretty difficult and most of your grade depends on the exams so a lot of pressure. It's possible tho.

Professor Dallmus is a great option for ACC241. I struggled so much with accounting, and the way his class was structured really helped me. He offers a LOT of extra credit so passing this class should definitely be doable, as well as he curves every exam so the class average is 75%. The exams are on MyLab so many questions come from the quizzes.

Class was difficult but reasonable. The majority of the grade comes from three exams, in which questions are often small details from the reading and lectures. To make up for difficult tests, extra credit of maximum 4% is available. Exams are also curved so that test average is 75%. Class is study intensive, but fairly graded. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed taking ACC231 with professor Dallmus! Yes, he didn't show the due dates for assignments and quizzes on Canvas but you can check that through Pearson. He curves every exam score to reach the class average. Lots of reading, lectures, and HW but it is bearable. One of the best online accounting professors for ASU I would say.

Quizzes are due each week. Pearson had unlimited chances. Homework might take a few hours with the quizzes but isn't super difficult.

I really wanted to enjoy this class. In all honesty, the exams, homework, and quizzes are all so different I have no idea what he actually wants us to learn. The book is wordy and unnecessarily long, it goes on and on without explaining much. The homework feels like busy work and it takes hours to complete. He curves exams so theres one positive.

Professor Dallmus is a great professor who places and emphasis on thoroughly learning the material. He has high standards but gives so much extra credit. There was opportunity to get 5% increase on Exam 1, 4% increase on Exam 3, and 4% overall. He also curved exams and allowed a note card. The final was also optional. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this professor for this course. Course content is quite difficult but manageable if you put the effort in. Three exams and as well as one optional exam. He curves every exam to meet class average and your also allowed to use a notecard with notes and formulas. He also provides extra credit opportunities so take advantage of that.

The class is a decent amount of work but Dallmus is very accessible for an online class. Will answer emails quickly and gives constant class announcements for assignments, new material, and anything in between. The extra credit is a lot of work but is worth it for 4% of the overall grade. Curves every test and gives you every opportunity to succeed

Stay ahead and you'll have a good time in this course. Accounting does NOT come easy to me but there is enough opportunity to receive a higher grade if you work hard.

Very straightforward class and one of the smoothest learning experiences I've had at ASU. Dallmus always keeps the class posted with announcements, is very fair, and gets grades back quickly. Would definitely take another one of his classes.

Accounting is super hard to learn online, especially as a session A. He grades on a point scale so it's way easier to pass the class compared to if assignments were weighted differently. He gives extra credit (takes awhile, but theres plenty of time to finish). You WILL HAVE TO STUDY and make sure you understand everything to do good on the exams.

This class is a lot easier than everyone makes it out to be. Just read the textbook and study and it is a relatively easy A if you are able to put forth the effort and set time aside for it. The professor is very helpful as well.

A really good teacher especially for such a hard class. Lets you use a notecard for each exam. I took the session A class so it was a two-month course, we usually had 2 homework assignments and 2 quizzes due every week on Sunday but they weren't too difficult. The only thing proctored are exams.

Professor Dallmus is super great, he is always there if you need help. The course is heavy on reading, and quite a lot of assignments, but he gives some extra credit opportunities. He also provides study guides and practice exams which are very helpful. I would take any class by him again, he is great!

This professor uses My Accounting Lab to facilitate homework. He drops the lowest test score out of 4 tests and he also drops the lowest quiz and homework of 12. The tests were also proctored using honor lock and they were graded on a curve. If you take your time to get good homework and quiz scores you can pass this class. I recommend this prof.

Professor Dallmus is great! This is my second class with him, he is extremely fair and wants to see everyone do well in his class.

very time consuming but doable-- I took as B Session and dedicated an entire day out of my week just to getting this HW done. Exams are somewhat relevant to the homework, but imo get more difficult as you go. Plenty of extra credit opportunities + curve.

Pretty easy class, just a good amount of assignments. As long as you complete them you should be good. Many test questions are in the same format as the homework ones.

Professor Dallmus is great. If you reach out for help he will get right back to you and is happy to go over quizzes and answer questions. I wish I had taken this class in C Session (I don't know if it's offered that way) just to have more time to study concepts. Exams are closed book so you have to know all formulas, ratios, and methods.

Don't underestimate this class, especially in a shorter session. It's a lot of work. However, Prof. Dallmus is super accommodating; he seems to genuinely care about helping his students succeed and responds to questions quickly both in the course's Discussions posts or emails. Hard class, but less stressful knowing that I had a good professor.

He actually cares about students' success, responds to discussion board questions even if it's the weekend and you're stressing out on an exam at 9:00 Sunday night. A lot of professors are great at their field, but not many are as great at actually helping others learn like Professor Dallmus. Hope I have him again in a future course!

first, you will want to start this class out with a prayer. it is VERY hard, but def take it with dallmus. he is a nice guy and he offers 4% extra credit. bless his sweet soul. you DO have to WORK for it though. STAY AHEAD OR ELSE. good luck to all and to all good luck, you will need it.

Although exams are tough, the class is completely doable. Admittedly, I wish I had done better, which is possible if you work hard and keep up on concepts. Additionally, Professor Dallmus provides great resources and support! He understands that issues come up and only provides assistance! Highly recommend taking the course with this professor!

Dallmus' ACC241 is tough, but manageable with hard work. Lots of assignments, but he provides great support and extra credit opportunities. Unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

I took the course in spring and highly recommend taking it with Prof. Dallmus. There's a lot of info to learn (due to the subject), but his lectures are awesome - they give a lot of clarification and make it easier to understand. He also makes himself available if you have questions or need help understanding concepts, which is really helpful.

This class is fairly decent as long as you read the textbook/make flashcards and do things (homework/quizzes) as early as they're out. Do the extra credit only if you have time to do so (very long) and if not, I highly recommend studying instead. Make sure to write down important formulas (know how to do them) on the 3 x 5 notecards and good luck

Prof Dallmus is great! It's obvious he cares. Communication is top-notch - never had to wonder what's next. The course itself is challenging, given the 7 week timeline, but is well explained (in writing), with tips for success that, if followed, are fail-proof. The extra-credit is time consuming, yet extremely helpful. Would definitely take again.

He's awesome! Material is straight forward. Get perfect scores on the homework assignments, quizzes and all the online practice questions for the extra credit. You can still get an A if you don't do so well on the exams. Exams are with honorlock but some notes are allowed which help a ton. Very communicative and helpful professor.

8 weeks is tough for an accounting course but this was manageable. One exam dropped out of 4, and lets you use a notecard on exams. 4% extra credit is nice as well. Stay on top of homework and quizzes and you'll be fine.

Completed session B with professor Dallmus, he is a professor that cares and his communication is top notch. Accounting is tough especially in 8 weeks, but my advice is to join the TA's zoom lectures. The lectures in canvas are super boring. Note card is allowed on exams too.

Lecture videos are read by a robot that I heard sigh one time. Readings explain Excel in words, which is frustrating/ impractical. Lots of extra credit. Professor is easily accessible and communicative Grades are on Pearson. Quiz and Homework every week, 110 points counted, 120 points available to earn. Three Exams, one optional cumulative exam.

Wonderful Professor takes the time to help students. Wants you to understand the material genuinely cares. 100% would take again.

It's a lot of work. 12 chapters with a homework and a quiz for each chapter. The homework take at least an hour but the quizzes are fast. He isn't flexible at all like most professors so you'll be following the syllabus to a T. Reading each chapter takes the most time. Dont bother with his lectures, they are read by a robot and are not helpful.

This class was a LOT of work; don't recommend taking during the summer. A lot of homework and reading that took quite awhile, but if you do all of it you'll do well in the course. The main struggle was just not having enough time to (ESPECIALLY on exam weeks). The lectures weren't very helpful and honestly you could skip them and still do well.

This class was hard for me but if you do the readings and understand the concepts/formulas for the chapters, you are good to go for the exams. Even though he provides the study guide, I recommend you to understand the whole concept of one particular question. Four exams, lowest score gets dropped. He allows a cheatsheet on the exams.

ONLINE with Dallmus is by far the best option you can go for with ACC 241. He does not use any canvas but Pearson instead. Homework does take some time but you can use all the resources you need. His exams are on lockdown browser, but overall if you do really well on the homework and easy tests, you are set. He is the best pick.

I had a family issue arise right before my last exam (which are closed book), and I bombed the test (hence the C+ grade). Dallmus knows his stuff, and he grades fairly and consistently. He's responsive to e-mails and questions, and genuinely wants his students to succeed.
