Dr. Eaton is awesome! His lectures are very interesting and easy to follow. He's a fair grader. The semester consisted of 4 tests, a simulation project, and a paper. Tests are easy as long as you show up to class. His tests are based on his presentations not the book.

God awful professor. Lectures are crystal clear but tests are oddly very specific--despite his many promises they would not be. Simulation game is difficult, confusing and random. It was also frustrating to follow Eaton's "tips" and see my results plummet as I took his advice. Fortunately, I had the good sense to stop listening to him.

Summer course: After taking the first exam I panicked and thought his methods were unfair. Then I took the time to use office hours and communicate with him and I think it may have saved my Grade. I wish I met with him to go over the study guide for the first exam. Don't let the Slides fool you!

Great professor, lectures were bearable, which is more than I can say for most online courses. The content was pretty good for an intro marketing course. The simulation however is very odd and a poor representation of what actual marketing entails. There are far too many variables for any simulation to actually represent marketing in the real world

One of the nicest (not to be mistaken as a weakness) and most encouraging professors I have ever had. He also made the material very relatable and gave study guides to do well on exams and there was also extra credit opportunities. Would take again if had the chance.

Took the Session A Hybrid. Watch his online lectures and fill out the study guides and you will do fine on the tests. As for the simulation game, pay attention to the tips he gives in announcements. Eaton is very responsive to emails and the online lectures were actually not bad. Textbook not needed. Extra Credit available. Overall great professor.

Dr. Eaton isn't just a great professor, he's a great TEACHER. To me, that means he isn't just concerned with being an academic, he truly cares about his students. He wants to help. In the online class I took, the exams make up 90% of the grade, so you really have to absorb the information. Most of it comes from the lectures. Fun, challenging class.

Dr. Eaton is a great teacher who has very clear lectures and includes study guides that pretty much cover everything that will be on the test. He also includes clear instructions for how to write your papers paragraph by paragraph. Not only that but he's very responsive by email

(Online class) Lectures are interesting, and he is a humorous teacher. The online simulation is inane, outdated, and mandatory. Going into the first test I thought it was going to be easy, but soon realized that all exams consist of very specific vocab definitions, rather than more conceptual questions. 3 exams, one simulation, and one paper.

Professor Eaton was great. He was very enthusiastic during lectures. He says time after time not to memorize definitions for the test but that is how I did so well on the test. Study the way that works best for you. The stimulation was not bad. Take your time and you will do well. Do the stimulation paper as you go. It makes it much easier.

Eaton is probably the best professor at ASU. He goes above and beyond for his students, his lectures are informing and entertaining, no book needed. If you go to class and pay attention you will receive an A. For the simulation pay attention and ask questions if you need help, he's really a great guy.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the Marketing class, but it turned out to be one of my best classes. The three papers were interesting to do, and I learned some new trivia facts. Lectures were long, but that's pretty typical of these classes. You do use the book and have to listen to the lectures. Has guides for each module.

Eaton was by far one of the best professors I've had at ASU. His lectures are never boring, he makes sure you're prepared for the tests and he's extremely empathetic. If you go to class, take notes, study for tests and pay attention throughout the end of the semester simluation, you'll ace the class.

Make sure to watch the limited-availability lectures. Take notes to review just before the exams and you'll do fine. It does take some time though. The simulation is SUPER cool and interesting, I enjoyed it like a game. The paper does take a bit though, write it bit by bit as you make decisions.

Makes long lectures interesting with humor. Posts slides online but need to show up to fill blanks. Three tests that just required memorizing slides & he tells you which slides are important. Dr. Eaton tells you early on that he hopes he gives you a reason to come to class on a random Friday at the end of the semester. He does give a reason by combining his knowledge with humor and interesting aspects of Marketing of course. He's been doing this since Pat Tillman went to ASU. He knows what he is doing. Go to class and you will succeed!

Good professor. His humor makes the course more interesting. Great with responding to emails. There are simulations you must submit weekly which aren't bad at all.

By far one of my favorite professors. Class was very easy if you pay attention to lectures. The material may be boring to some, but Eaton constantly makes jokes and his sarcasm keeps the class awake. Constantly used real-life and recent examples to illustrate course concepts.

Great class, great professor- not my favorite subject. The humor helped. Very accessible through email. Only 3 graded exams and 2 graded papers. Extra credit through online marketing lab. Do the assigned reading and pay attention to the lectures as about 50% of exam questions were taken from this. Good class overall, use common sense to excel.

Eaton is a great professor to take for MKT 300 online. I took his session A course and had no problem with it. He puts on a lot of lectures, but if you pay attention and take notes, you're solid. Don't underestimate the amount of time you should study for this class. I didn't study for the last exam which dropped my grade down to a B.

Easy online marketing class. Take notes during his online lectures because that is most of his tests.

Grades based off 3 exams and 2 small essays. If you watch the lectures/read the textbook, you'll do just fine. I would consider my amount of effort to be minimal. It was a great course! Would really recommend Eaton. He was amazing and truly cares for students, despite it being an online class.

I really didn't want to take MKT 300. However, professor Eaton made the class really entertaining. His sense of humor and ability to relate concepts in class to real life really helped my learning.

Dr. Eaton is an outstanding Professor who truly cares about all of his students. There are four exams, one paper, a simulation project, and extra credit points. Dr. Eaton has put together a really great class. There are several hours worth of lecture each week, but they are broken into manageable chunks. You will be tested on the book, and lecture, so you have to read and watch all of it. Only grade was 3 exams and 2 small papers. Was very willing to work with outside issues. Would recomend.

Eaton is a great choice for MKT 300. His exams pretty much involve memorization so if you can do that, you will do fine. He gives you the option of earning 30 extra credit points, so definitely take advantage. The simulation is a big part of the class, so if you are struggling go to his office and he will help you!! Prof. Eaton is one of the best Marketing teachers at ASU. He truly care about his students. He gives extra credit and rounds up every single test. The class is not hard at all, all you have to do is read the slides and take good notes. After the first half of the semester you have to do a simulation with a paper, easy as well. Take him for MKT300.

This was one of the most enjoyable classes that I have taken at ASU. Great lectures that are worth going to and you actually learn a lot. Important to really study the powerpoints if you want to do well on the tests.

Dr. Eaton was a great professor for marketing online. The online lectures were organized and it was clear he's been doing this for awhile - in the good way. He is always offering to help you. Even though it's an online class, he was able to be personable.

When he says at the beginning of each chapter "This is what you need to know for the exam" he is not lying. It's word-for-word what you need to know. I studied what he said to study on the first slide of each chapter and got an A+ in the class. Simulation is fun too, don't think too hard about it though.

He just seems like the nicest guy. He's just always so kind and respectful in any sort of communication you have with him. Taking this online, and even in his lectures he just seems so nice and funny. so far so good. you just listen to online lectures and take notes

Awesome guy who responds to emails very quickly. Allows a second device for RPnow tests (Ex: Onenote notes). 3 exams at 300 points each. Two 5-page writing assignments for 50 points each. Very entertaining lectures. Only used book for essays. 75 min tests. Study your notes from the powerpoints and you will get an A. Awesome guy!

Eaton's marketing class is really straight forward. The exams are easy with minimal studying required. He also provides helpful study guides. He makes a lot of little jokes in lecture that makes the class a lot better. If you ever need to contact him he's fast to respond and super friendly.

I never give a rating but after his last lecture, I actually googled to find more about him. His online course has been nearly perfected and even though all I heard was his voice in the lecture you really felt that he tried his hardest to make them engaging as humanly possible.

This class is not hard, but it IS a lot of work if you take detailed notes on the lecture like I did. Taking these notes and going through the study guide before the test made exams SUPER easy. The simulation paper is pretty brutal (20 pages), so write as you do the assignment. So much extra credit! He is very quick with communication and is nice!!

I took online MKT 300 Session A (accelerated). You definitely had to study for this class but I wound up getting a high A in the class. The tests seem hard when you take them but he curves them up a lot. The simulation was fun and not very hard. He responds to emails really well and likes to give a lot of extra credit opportunities.

Eaton is a smart and respectable guy, but his lectures are so boring and attendance is not mandatory, so it is hard to find the motivation to get to class. Tests are semi-easy if you go to class and pay attention. He gives so much extra credit, so it helps your grade a lot.

He gave us all class materials as powerpoint on bb and all questions on exam were from these slides. There are some blanks on slides, so you'd better to come and fill these blanks. However you can find them from quizlet or something else. Many extra points and exam isn't so difficult. His lecture is quiet fun and worth to listen cuz you can laugh.

Definitely my favorite professor so far in WPC. The guy is very knowledgeable about what he teaches and wants students to succeed. Going to class isnt necessary but it certainly helps when taking his exams.

Class was easy A, but you have to take notes on his lectures because they disappear after each module. Eaton uses real world examples that are helpful and I learned a lot from his class that I took with me. If you need help studying check out quizlet or chegg because there's tons of his material online. Exams are challenging.

Luckily there wasn't any homework given it was a 6 wk course. That being said the tests were somewhat hard because of the amount of work we had to cover in a short amount of time. Saving the pdf's of the lectures saved me, and write write write as you do the simulation! Don't underestimate the simulation, thought i'd ace it but my grade... LOL

Not a bad class and fair grader. However if you are taking the online class it might be highly beneficial to buy the book. I didn't buy it and regret it. His exams become extremely conceptual and without any depth given, which the slides don't really give, I probably won't be getting my A. I imagine a B+ or A- is going to be my final grade.

The structure of this course is what makes it work, as I believe I've truly been given a good look into the Marketing world. You actually have to watch the videos, take notes, and do actual assignments, so you really learn- vs just coursehero'ing everything in other classes. Great lectures (entertaining and funny). Professor John Eaton is fantastic to work with, and he will help you along the way. His lectures are informational and fun. To pass this class, you must be disciplined and prepared to put the work in. There is a lot of reading and the exams will be challenging, but very informative. I now have a higher appreciation for marketing concepts.

Speaks quietly/quickly/monotone but pay attention, he gives tons of exam hints during lecture. No HW, just exams & simulation, can sign up for marketing studies for extra credit. Exams are multiple-choice, easy if you have studied & paid attention to his hints. He says words left blank on slides aren't important - that's a lie, write them down!

Overall, I enjoyed this class. I had a rough start, I got Ds on the first two exams and didn't know what I was doing wrong. I went to office hours and he tells you exactly how he writes his tests. That really helped a ton because I got an A on the third exam! Definitely go to office hours if you're having trouble. He's approachable!

Not too difficult. Need to show up to class to fill in the blanks for the power point. The simulation and paper are a bit of a hassle, but he doesn't grade them too tough as long as you reach the page minimum. A lot of extra credit available and each test is curved.

Took MKT 300 Session A online and I got an A+. Just follow the study guide he posts and the only content is the module where he lectures, and they're mostly 8-14 minutes per lesson, some are longer though. Just put in some time, the exams are curved and if you have questions, he is good at responding to emails.

Even though I only took his online class, I actually watched his lectures because they were really funny and gave a lot more in-depth insight than just taking notes from the slides. He also curves on exams! But the simulation could be tricky, so make sure to read announcements: he tells you everything you need to do in it on there.

I took this as an online summer class. This class is test heavy (30% each test), and learning is done with online lectures no textbook needed. Yes, the exam are open note & open book, but he doesn't give a lot of time so you need to know the material, you can't look-up the answer for every question. Professor Eaton is by far one of the very few professors who have master the art of giving PowerPoint presentations. Most of his exams are not textbook-based, rather lecture-based, so you better take the time to listen to his lectures and take notes. I would love to take another course with Professor Eaton!

John Eaton is AMAZING! I took him online for Session A and I loved it! His class is very simple, 3 exams, 2 essays. Although you'd might get scared of failing one he makes sure you know everything on the test! His classes are really engaging and his exams reflect what he talked about in class. Highly recommend!

If you go to class and study the power points, you'll get an A+. The Simulator starts off difficult, but he'll give you solid advice to help you through it. Most of the material for his exams/lectures can be found online. It's a good idea to go to class though because he goes more in depth on the power point topics. He curves exams too.

Prof Eaton was a great professor. He gave you all the materials you needed to succeed, you just have to put in a little time before each exam to study the material, as his exams could get pretty specific. No homework assignments, just an online simulator that you'll do once a week for the last half of the course. Take advantage of the extra credit.

Relatively easy class as long as you pay attention to the lectures and to the materials listed in the study guides for the exams. Exams are curved to an 80% so getting a good exam score shouldn't be too hard. He gives away A LOT of extra credit. Make sure to do those. The marketing simulation is also crucial to your grade so perform well on it.

Loved this class!! This was the only class I looked forward to going to on campus. His lectures use real-life examples so the material isn't too hard to comprehend and he is SO FUNNY! You can earn a lot of extra credit through the research lab, but your grade is based on 4 tests, a marketing simulation, and a paper on the simulation.

Dr. Eaton is a great choice. He gives a ton of extra credit to buffer your grade and gives study guides that are extremely helpful for his 4 exams so make sure to use them. He assigns a marketing simulation halfway through but gives clear directions and tons of hints along the way. He uses great and relevant examples to keep things interesting.

Eaton is the funniest teacher I've had and teaches in a way that is engaging. Tests were easy if you attend class and took decent enough notes. The second half of semester there's a marketing simulation (then write paper on it) which seems scary, but is easy once you get the hang of it. He's one of the good ones that you'll remember fondly.

Eaton's lecture videos (online course) are very entertaining and informational. Although overall not a bad professor, Eaton's tests are difficult and you have to review a lot prior to taking them. I did study a lot and somehow managed to get an average grade of a C on them (3 total). Additionally, there is an online marketing simulation throughout.

Dr. Eaton's lectures drop a bunch of hints in regards to what will be on the Test. Keep in mind the 3 test absolutely make or break your grade in this class. Pay attention to them and take good notes for your proctored exam (worddocs allowed). Thankfully his test questions are on content discussed. There is a bunch of extra credit. Take advantage!

Dr. Eaton is a phenomenal! His entire class is based of his lectures - no book. His gives the best lectures out of any professor I have ever had. He writes his exams to correspond with his lectures. Eaton's A session class is great if you have interest in Marketing. The simulation is fun and you'll do fine if you follow his tips. Dr. Eaton is funny, understanding, and invested in your success in the course. Exams can be challenging but there are no surprises. Curves to 80% average. Highly recommend MKT300 with Eaton, either A or C session.

Professor Eaton made an amazing class. The videos and playposit videos are all his own creation and the material is directly related to the tests. The exams are open notes so make sure you take good ones and you'll be more than fine.

I really liked this class. The only thing that made it a little inconvenient was the proctored tests. They are open note but some people live with a lot of dogs that bark a lot. His lectures are really interesting, he knows the topic and is interested in the success of his students. He curves the exams so average is above 80 and offers extra credit

Dr. Eaton is such a good prof! No homework, just 4 EASY exams (and I'm usually horrible at tests) and a super fun marketing simulation game at the end that you play and write a little paper about. His lectures are interesting and I've really enjoyed the class! Really easy class and great guy, highly recommend :)

Straightforward with his lectures and always tries to provide examples to help you understand concepts and how they apply to the real world. Exams can be somewhat challenging but he tells you exactly what to study for on the study guides so if you fail it's your own fault. The class also has a sim but it's pretty fun and not too difficult at all.

I took MKT 300 online. There isn't a textbook, so all the information you need to take the exams comes from the lectures. . The entire grade for the class comes from exam scores and a marketing simulation, so studying for the exams is critical. He does a great job of explaining the material and is pretty funny. Great professor! Highly recommend.

John is awesome. If you can get a chance to talk to him outside of class, do it. Great guy, great professor. The class is not a walk in the park, and you will have to put the work in. However, his class is packed with substance.

Pay attention to lecture, no homework, no surprize quizzes, you will pass. Professor Eaton is incredibly supportive in class and via office hours. There's a simulation project that is super interest and straight forward, just listen to his instructions and you can't fail the class. It takes effort to fail this class.

Great teacher, even better human being. His in-person class became online but it was still a rewarding class. Go to class ( or at least, listen to his lectures later) because that's how you pass the class. He is super accessible and responsive on email and is just happy and willingly to help! Take this class seriously and your test score will show.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Truly someone who cares about student's success and will do so much to help each individual student do as well as they can. Eaton is the best professor I've had at ASU. His lectures were interesting and he was very communicative. I took his session A so the work was condensed but not overwhelming. The homework was a marketing simulation and the tests were very straightforward. The biggest thing was the simulation paper but write a page or two each week and you're good.

My favorite professor and class by far. He talks A LOT, even himself says that. He will repeat important information 5 times so you won't forget. Attendance is not mandatory but you will need to go to the class to take note, fill out the blanks on PPT. PowerPoint slide is your bible for the test. Favorite professor I had this semester. He's funny, witty, keeps the class engaging when it was 100% on zoom. 4 tests (just know the slides), 1 simulation (not hard, a little fun), 1 paper explaining the simulation (not hard). 3%-4% points of extra credit possible added on to final grade. Will make a time to meet with everyone... he cares a lot!!

Course is heavily exam based which will affect your grade. The only homework is the continuous online simulation & final paper due at the end. Can't use notes on exams, you are expected to memorize slides. He does round class average to 80% on exams & offered 44 points worth of extra credit which could save your grade if you don't do well on exams.

I learned a lot from this class, Eaton gave very good and detailed lectures. Exams are worth most of your grade, make sure you study and know your material, they can be challenging. There is a simulation and corresponding paper too, keep detailed notes on your simulation so you can easily ace your paper. EC is available which can help your grade.

No pop quizzes, grade is based off exams. Lectures are interesting and you get a new perspective on marketing. Highly recommend this professor! He was an amazing professor, great energy, I loved watching his lectures. I definitely slacked off, did everything at the last possible minute, and didn't prepare for any exams, hence my barely passing score, but with slightly above average effort, this should be an easy class for you.

This class points was based off of 4 exams and 2 projects that were super easy. He makes everything real-life relatable, such as open book exams. just watch the videos and answer the questions on the study guide and it is an easy A for every test. The footage was about 3 hours every 2 weeks for the 7 week course. NOT THAT HARD TO DO! Genuine guy.

By far one of the best professors ive had so far! His lectures make you want to listen because of his funny side comments and real world examples/experiences. Highly recommend you wont regret it!

Dr. Eaton is one of a kind. He's available for students and enjoys helping. He creates his own content and provides relatable examples through PowerPoint lectures. He has a down-to-earth personality and is really enjoyable to listen to. This was my favorite class. The tests are open note, but tough. I suggest creating searchable notes.

Dr. Eaton is an asset to ASU and if youre fortunate enough to take a class with him, you will come away with life experience as well as course education. Online class so there were no live lectures. His powerpoints and video lectures were nicely structured and easy to understand. Hes also pretty funny. The tests were easy if you use the study guide. The simulation was fun and the reflection paper isnt too bad if you write it as you go. Take this class if you have the chance!

He knows how to catch the attention of his younger audience, and his lectures are really easy to follow and learn. His exams are really easy as long as you understand what he's teaching you, and he always encourages people to ask questions. Eaton truly structures his class so that if you go to class and absorb what he says, you will get an A.

Dr. Eaton is a super friendly and down to earth professor. Your grade is based off of 4 exams (all non-cumulative), and a marketing simulation that you will write a paper on as you go. No textbook but you have to show up for class to get the notes. Study for the tests as the weeks go by and you'll be fine. Overall, great class.

MAN, THIS GUY KNOWS HOW TO TEACH. All around awesome guy. He puts up with a lot tbh, and handles it well. He makes every lecture entertaining and while the simulation can be a bit tricky, he gives plenty of hints to help out with it. Just study the slides and you'll be good for the exams, and understand the bigger concepts too.

Only issue with Eaton is him rambling and "dadsplainning" on Zoom lectures. Overall, I feel like it would've been a better experience had we been in person but his class wasn't too much of a challenge. Just make sure to study before every exam, as he doesn't drop any of them, nor does he offer any type of quizzes or assignments to make the grade.

Best professor I've ever had. He combines the perfect levels of informational content, examples, and witty humor. I would watch most of his lectures if they were on youtube so the fact that I get credit for this is a bonus. 4 tests (all based entirely on the lectures, open notes) and 2 papers.

He has study guides for each test that follow along with all the lectures. He makes his lectures relatable, funny, and easy to understand. Highly recommend!

Prof. Eaton cares a lot about the subject that hes teaching. The lectures, though sometimes long & overwhelming, are super informative and he keeps things interesting with tags of meaningful (yet funny) information. Extra credit is a must! Classwork is beyond doable, you just have to focus up.

Great lectures, great professor. He really simplified things down for us to understand. Everything is layout clearly. Do the study guide he provided, they will help. Tests are closed notes. We have the marketing simulation that are due every week and with written report. I didn't buy any textbook for he class. Small extra credit opportunity.

Professor Eaton is very good at lecturing and is enjoyable to have as a professor! He is very passionate about the class and his students. I would recommend taking him for anyone who is needing a marketing credit. Prof Eaton laid out the icourse very well. Every week we had a simulation decision due which correlated with the paper due at the end of the semester (definitely write it as you go). We had 4 exams and they all relied heavily on the exams so watch all the videos!! He was an amazing prof tho and really explained everything, definitely recommend!!

Tests are open book and he provides a study guide for exactly all of the information you need. He is a fair grader and provides tons of extra credit. One of the best professors I have ever had. He made it a point to learn my name and chat with me every so often. Lectures are well-structured and easy to follow; going to class is important to understand the material thoroughly. He is very helpful outside of class and wants nothing but success for his students.

Took MKT as a session A and it is very fast and a lot of material in the few weeks and the class is time consuming. His test material comes straight from the study guide and the online lecture videos if you study put the effort you can get an A in the course. Offers extra credit and his lectures are easy to understand. Simulation is time consuming.

Dr. Eaton is hands down the best professor I've had thus far at ASU. His class is taught exclusively by lectures (recommend taking notes during lectures) and your grade is based solely off 4 tests as well as 2 papers. Professor Eaton is by far the best professor I've had in my time at ASU. Class structure is clear and easy to follow, tests are open note, only 2 essay assignments (5-6 pages), and tons of extra credit opportunity. The lectures are not boring; also broken up into shorter clips (10-20 minutes) rather than a 2 hour video, which I really liked.

I thought the simulation was pretty neat and it boosted. Plus it helped me apply what I learned. He provided very helpful study guides (they helped tremendously). Gives extra credit and the videos were split into little parts. Beware though that the icourse uses honorlock and not respondus. It's more annoying and invasive and I wished he changed.

Lots of extra credit opportunities. So much you have to memorize. Why not just teach students the most important things that they will need/use after they graduate. Exams are proctored and timed. I never had enough time to finish my tests (at least open notes). Most classes at ASU are like that, 60-65 minutes for 50 questions. So ridiculous!

Eaton is a great dude, so engaging & funny. Has really good, fun examples included into the presentations which helps you remember. Exams can be tough if you didn't catch it the first time, but are pretty easy to study for. Project towards the end that is not super related to what we learn & very much a learn along thing. I took his session A MKT300 iCourse and never felt like there was too much work. 3 exams (HonorLock), marketing simulation due every week, marketing simulation essay, and so much extra credit!! Professor Eaton is the BEST!!! I hate walking to most classes but I always came early to his lectures. He doesn't waste your time and tells you exactly what will be on the test. If you give this class your best try, you will get an A. After so many bad professors, Eaton gave me hope that ASU has some potential.

This was probably the best iCourse I have taken for my core business classes. Eaton seems to genuinely care about his students and makes the content as interesting as physically possible (watching the vids on 2x speed helped lol). Tough class but a fair grader; gave us study guides for each test that clearly outlined what we needed to know.

Absolute stellar professor. The class was difficult, however, he provided tips and announcements in Canvas that made the class completely clear. Absolutely incredible course if you want to learn actual, valid business skills. Tough exams, but doable. Different than any class I've taken, with a simulation to work through instead of a textbook.

This professor delivers an engaging and structured marketing class. Although attendance is not mandatory, I would recommend going to class anyway (or have a friend take notes), especially when the marketing simulator comes around. If you pay attention to the lectures, he has a dry sense of humor and it makes the class more memorable.

I took this online Session A and it was very straightforward. It has a decent workload (Marketing simulation, a couple exams, and a final paper) but it was completely manageable. For exams, all you need to do is watch lecture videos, and for the simulation Dr. Eaton gives a lot of hints/tips that make it easy.

Exams are not that hard if you go to the class. Stimulation was cool, but I hated writing a paper about it. Just go over the slides (they're pretty short) a few times before the exam, and you're good to go. No book, the final is not cumulative, and he offers many extra credit options. He is one of the best professors I had.

To do well in this class it is best that you show up exams are based on lectures. I do wish there was some way to practice the material as I felt I struggled when it came to the exam. You get a lot of extra credit in this course. Do the extra credit!!! My grade went from a C to B because of the extra credit. There are 4 exams and they are all easy.

You don't have any extra assignments, so your final grade weighs heavily on the four exams and the simulation. Go to class and it will be as easy as it sounds. Nice attitude and fun, always available to help!

This class is good if you're looking to lighten your load with an icourse. The weekly workload was super easy, can be done in relatively no time. The simulation can be a huge make or break in your grade so don't forget to do it and look back at the feedback it gives you. All in all, good icourse and great professor

Loved this professor! Very helpful and kind. The class is only based on four tests, a simulation (he posts "helpful hints" which basically tell you exactly what to do), and a paper about it. Write the paper as you go! The study guides told you everything you need to know, but they were still tricky. Willing to help you no matter what!

Super easy class. Grade based on 3 exams (80% of total grade), but the study guide he gives is based on the lecture videos and if you watch them and take notes, you should get an A on each exam. Marketing simulation is pretty easy but does require some effort. Spent 1.5 hr on notes and 40 min on simulation each week. Offers lots of extra credit

(I took the A session class) The lectures contain all the information you would need to know for the exams so there are NO curveballs. The exams are a majority of your grade but there is also a simulation you do which applies your learning and it's quite engaging. The final paper is based off your choices in the simulation. 10/10 class for sure!

Eaton was a great professor and his class can be really fun if you get involved. Definitely come to class and take good notes to do well on the simulation and exams. He hates Quizlet but they got me 95% on the exams so look up mine. Take notes on everything you for for the simulation. Talk to him, he likes it.

This class didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Prof. Eaton is caring and straightforward, and the class is really easy if you show up and study the slides. Nevertheless, I felt like the concepts we learned were overly broad and that there wasn't enough tangible knowledge that I can use moving forward. The simulation was also a waste of time.

This class is pretty straight forward but the exams were tough. In order to succeed, you definitely have to attend the lectures. The simulation project and paper were also time-consuming but interesting to learn about, get a headstart on the paper when you can. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities as well! Dr Eaton is also so sweet.

I had the pleasure of taking MKT300 with Dr. Eaton online. I've had quite a few remote professors and i would have to say he is top tier, if not the best! When you take his contagious humor & overall positive vibes into consideration, he becomes the best! It really kept me engaged remote or not, and I really appreciated that. Go sun Devils!

Read the reviews before this and they outline the class well. Class is very doable in an A session if you put in some effort. Simulation is tedious and doesn't really teach you much. For your final paper, write directly to the guidelines and you will get a good score.

Eaton teaches a great class if you show up to lectures and pay attention. Exams aren't too hard if you study. The simulation can be stressful at first but is actually pretty easy if you put in some effort. The paper is also easy if you write it as you go. DON'T WAIT. If you do, you'll have a rough time.

I took MKT300 online as a session A, so it was a fast moving class. There were weekly exams. As he says, the exams don't have straightforward, definition questions, so STUDY. Watch the videos and use the study guides. It can be overwhelming, but overall it was good class. You do a graded simulation as well that has a paper. Do the extra credit!

Eaton is the best! Super responsive and loves to talk, help, and get to know his students. Everything on the test is right off the lecture slides. Very easy and light class

Really great professor that cares about the success of his students. If you are struggling in the course he is really helpful and understanding. As long as you put effort into this class and do the work you should get a good grade.

I loved this professor! I got all A's last semester besides this class, but overall it was one of my favorites. Dr. Eaton was always super good with announcements/responding to emails. He did his best to make online lectures interesting by making jokes and using real-life examples. Exams were kinda difficult. Online simulation was fairly easy.

This class made me realize I love marketing. The simulation was really fun, but the tests are tough! I rewatched and re-took notes on every single lecture leading up to exams in hopes of retaining the information in all of the lectures. Overall he's a really nice guy, tends to curve grades, and offers several opportunities to receive extra credit.

The marketing simulation was really fun and you learn a lot of stuff from it. Professor Eaton sends out daily announcement (at least for the summer class) and he is very responsive. The class is very test heavy so you have to study quite a bit. He also offers extra credit from doing online studies/surveys.

This class had 4 exams (250 pts each), a simulation assignment (100 pts), and a reflection simulation paper (100 pts). There were multiple video extra credit opportunities and extra credit from participating in a research lab. Professor was great and gave study guides for the exams and many hints for the simulation. Simulation is doable if you read the hints, so don't worry too much about that part of the grade. For the tests, please do not underestimate them and make omnisets (flashcards where you can practice test) of each PowerPoint slide (add extra notes too because the videos will sometimes mention extra stuff). Study with flashcards and you'll get an A+

Dr. Eaton rocks. He is extremely caring of his students. He responds to every email promptly and in detail. The class is straight forward because of his Canvas announcements. He gives many hints and offers a lot of extra credit. My #1 tip: EMAIL HIM! This is where you will get the most help and he is a nice grader.

There are 4 exams. To be successful with those exams, make sure to do his detailed study guides while watching his lectures and then you'll do great.

Very straightforward class. 4 exams, simulation (online marketing game), simulation paper (detailed essay on what you did and why). Exams are rough becuase of no book and lecture slides need to be filled out in class. Attendance is not mandatory but will do bad if you do not go. Very chill guy and very helpful if needed.

Eaton is an amazing lecturer. He makes this class as engaging as it can be. You must be good at taking notes on his lectures. He provides helpful outlines and if you study your notes well in advance you will get a good grade. The simulation seems daunting but if you follow Eaton's hints you will be fine. Hard class but you will learn.

Follow his tips for the bike simulation to score well. His online classes seem easier, and while under Respondus, memorizing his video content helps significantly. I prepped by reviewing all materials the night before and jotting down key points from his videos, which really paid off on exams. You learn a lot in this class.

easily best prof I've had,I took the shorter class so it was a harder than C session. great guy lectures were rough somedays but always doable, use the study guides, read ALL announcements, use bike sim tips.curves exams too.Write the analysis paper as you go.learned more than i have in all 3 years Couldn't recommend a prof more, THE BEST! Prof Eaton is one of the best online professors I've had so far at ASU. There is NO textbook, and all of the material is presented through videos (they close morning of test which is werid). Session A is a reasonable course load, but I feel that I have learned a lot through the videos and marketing simulation. READ HELPFUL HINTS for the simulation!

Great guy and great class, he really wants his students to succeed and provides a lot of help through course announcements. I would take any class he was teaching.

This professor really cares. Tips for this course: - Write the Simulation Analysis paper little by little each week as you go - Use the Study Guides, Helpful Hints, and Announcements - Lots of extra credit opportunities, do them, only takes a few mins - Email him if you need help... he gives extra tips/advice Do this and it'll be an easy A.

AWESOME GUY!!! His recorded lectures are engaging, and you need to pay $20 for only the marketing simulation. He is VERY responsive to emails and will help you out in any way possible!!! Lots of extra credit opportunities TAKE IT!!! 4 exams-none r cumulative, but lectures are closed right before the exam, 1 simulation paper, 1 simulation score :P

Amazing instructor. Concepts can be fairly challenging, so study hard to best set yourself up for getting an A. Make sure to do Extra Credit.

I wish I could take John Eaton for all of my marketing classes, I actually look forward to coming to class every single day. He prepares you very well for his exams. Everything that is talked about in class is on the test, so as long as you pay attention you will do very well. If you have the chance please take his class. He also allow extra credit

Dr. Eaton is the best professors in WPC school that I have had in 3 years. He cares a lot about the success of his students, so consider all of his announcements. Listen and take notes on all lectures. Read everything he posts. You can get an A easily if you do what he tells you to do. You get out what you put in.

GOAT! Eaton is one of the best professors he makes marketing interesting and engaging like NO ONE ELSE. You will have to pay $20 bucks for a marketing SIM which he gives you hints on how to get a 100% if you just follow his hints. Exams are multiple and very doable if you just learn the study guide. TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE DOING MKT 300!!

My favorite class and professor I've had at ASU. MKT300 strikes a good balance of being easy but still very interesting and informative. The marketing simulation is a decent amount of work but it's not difficult, just tedious. Dr. Eaton is very eager to help students in any way he can and is exactly the kind of person who should work in higher ed.

Class was okay, I took it as a B session so it was packed. The exams were weighted heavy, worth 80% of your grade with the simulation 20%. Extra credit was worth around 3.5 of the grade but the exams were somewhat hard, so make sure to study for the exams if you want a good grade.

Dr. Eaton is very understanding and offers support when it's needed. Attendance is not mandatory but you need to fill in the blanks for lectures every session. Exams can get confusing so make sure you understand the lectures well. So many extra credit opportunities and the stimulation is super easy if you listen to his feedbacks.

the marketing stimulation i didn't take seriously or really understood and that bit me in my ass at the end of the semester when writing the final report paper. definitely a good class and good professor but pay attention to the marketing stimulation and final paper, having friends taking the class with you helps a bunch!

Super good teacher exams are a bit hard but if u study u should be fine gives lots of extra credit to almost 4% of grade

Don't need a book, class is definitely hard. He says not to memorize, but memorizing lectures is the best way to do well. Don't skip extra credit. He is approachable and genuinely wants to help if need. Since the class is tough, make sure to review the videos and lectures thoroughly because all the question for tests are from the slide deck.

This professor cares about his students' success. If you take this class online, watch all the lectures and study the material on the study guide. You will get a good grade if you do this. Everything you need to know is in the lectures. He lists expectations very clearly and it is all straight-forward.

I was having trouble with the marketing simulation at the start but this professor helped me a lot which led me to a good score. He's very helpful and gives great feedback when needed. Exams can be difficult so start early when studying. I learnt a lot about marketing in this course. Definitely take this professor if you're taking this course.

Amazing course. Market simulation, was a ton of fun, write the sim paper as you go, and follow the guidelines. 4 exams (exam 1 10 questions, 50 questions rest) based on module lecture videos, watch it many times. Tons of extra credit. Professor is very active/ responsive, genuinely enjoys teaching and wants students to succeed. Highly recommend.

I'd read the amazing reviews on Professor Eaton and am adding to the list. So much to learn, but so fun to learn it. Exams can be challenging, so keep up on the material. When he asks students to reach out to him for help, he means it. My advice - take him up on it. Bonus: no textbook required. Would definitely take again - and again.

He's a great professor who wants you to succeed. He posts the lecture slides to canvas so you can follow along during the lecture. He goes on a lot of tangents, but he teaches you exactly what you need to know for the exams. There are 4 exams and a marketing simulation. If you go to class and take notes and study before the exams, you'll do great.

At first, I was nervous for the exams in this course. Honestly, all I can say is the exams really are not as bad as you think if keep up with the material presented and use Quizlets for the topics covered. Do not cram and you will be fine. Also take advantage of the lab extra credit they will help. Eaton's lectures can be funny at times.

I took him for a session A class and there were exams every two weeks, but his lectures were easy to digest and take notes on. The lectures have everything covered in the exams and doesn't require too much memorization, but they are closed note.

He set clear expecations of how to excel in his class so if you get a bad grade its on you. He is very responsive when you email him.

The simulation was fun and the paper was easy because he doesn't care about formatting or having formal language. He's very clear with how you get a good grade so listen to him and you're chillin.

Only 4 tests for your grade pretty much and a marketing simulation + paper. Simulation was a lot of fun and most informative process of the class in my opinion. I took it online so lectures were harder to follow than in class but he posts all his slides AND videos alongside it. If you just put in the work it's an easy A.

Dr. Eaton was one of my favorite professors this semester. He makes it VERY clear what is needed to score well in his class. Lecturing ability is 10/10, uses examples and humor to explain class concepts. Keeps students engaged, it's hard not to pay attention! You set yourself up for success just by going to class and listening to lecture.

Very video lecture heavy every week. The exams are actually kind of hard, did not expect that and never really got used to the difficulty despite my best efforts studying. The simulation was a little confusing to me and kind of blind luck that I did decent based on common sense. He is a nice guy, though and responds to emails promptly.
