He is really helpful! He takes his time to talk to students and explains everything you need to know. Also, before quizzes and midterms, he tells you whatever you need to study. This makes it so much easier to prepare for his tests.

He's an awesome prof! He tells you exactly what is on the exams and quizzes so it's not hard to get an A+ in this course. He is always positive to his students even if someone asks a stupid question! I'd totally take his course again :) HIGHLY recommended!

John is an entertaining instructor with a good sense of humour. He grades his short answer test questions thoroughly, so be sure to read and answer all parts with as much detail as possible. Will be taking his Marketing Research class in the future.

Very colorful and interesting power points (I guess the marketing book is good at marketing). Not a hard class, Falcus is a nice guy in a business sort of way. Seemed to have a lot of experience in the field. Had some good personal story's. Attend class and speak up and he will like you and you will do well. Power points online was nice as well.

Didn't expect it to be such a hard course. All and all, I enjoyed John's class a lot BUT he marked really really hard which made it hard for me to enjoy it 100%.

I took his mark. research class in fall 2012. John is an excellent teacher, he keeps his lectures interesting and funny. He is the most helpful teacher at Langara. If you want to enjoy a dry subject such as Marketing Research, definitely take him. He also covers the midterm/final prep during the class and hands out chapter slides each class.

John is a great instructor. Write down the cues he gives away in class and you'll do good on both exams. He also posts instructional videos, which are helpful when you don't want to read the textbook or slides. Overall, it was enjoyable evening class.

John is probably the nicest and most helpful instructor I've ever encountered in college. If you show up to class, there is no way you won't do well. He pretty much tells you what's going to be on the exams. I will definitely take another one of his courses if my schedule allows.

John does not have space for students to negotiate the length of the tests and the time that he provide us for online course. Talked to one of his lecture students, he is only negotiable with those in class students, which seems not too fair for online students.

John is an amazing prof. He does everything to help the students get the highest mark possible. He's not a hard marker as everyone seems to believe. His exams are completely based off his powerpoint slides, so if you study, you'll be just fine. He's also very funny, so it makes for a fun class. I've already signed up to take a 2nd course with him.

This guy is nice, helpful, and amazing at explaining the material. His exams are 100 marks with 25 marks being mc and 75 being written. However, if you study the learning objectives and remember what questions he said would "make a good exam question" you'll do well. Project is time consuming, but overall very much enjoyed the course.

Great teacher. Very helpful, especially if you ever need any clarification. I really liked the fact that he posts videos of his lectures online, the condensed lectures are a great study tool. Be prepared to choose a group for the project early on in the semester, I would suggest networking right away. I would take other courses with him.

John is a friendly teacher that relates well to students. You don't have to have the textbook for his class since he condenses the textbook text onto his own powerpoint slides that he hands out to you. Lectures are long, but he tries to relate the text to everyday life and gives many examples. Tests are 25% mc and 75% written, but is overall fair.

JOHN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE HAD AT LANGARA COLLEGE! I know some of you may hear that he is hard and his projects are tough, BUT, they are TOTALLY worth it. It honestly makes you smarter and REALLY prepares you for core marketing courses. As long as you put in the work, John will be the BEST experience you will have.

Professor Falcus is GREAT. He makes sure you understand everything and he does all he can to help you succeed. DEFINITELY suggest taking him! He is extremely nice and even though Consumer Behaviour isn't super fun he makes class semi enjoyable. He explains things fairly easily and is pretty straightforward with what is on his exams.

Great instructor! John is very straightforward during the lecture. He does explain things in class, just make sure you do your homework. Make sure you go to all of the classes and pay attention and you'll be able to ace this course as long as you do every questions being asked and know where the mistakes often occurred.

I think the subject is the tough one, not him! A tip - projects start early or face the crowd. Saw John after class, he was nice and helpful. If you are a dedicated student and willing to work for good marks then John will be a great professor to have and work with.

John is one of best for mark 2100 profs, the materials were clear and easy to figure out what would be on the exams. You focus on his class, you'll get a B somethin', do some reading afterwards, a great A or A+ will show up on your transcript.

John has been one of my favorite professors at Langara for so many reasons, but mostly because of his knowledge, his kindness, his tough-love desire to help you learn, and his ability to inspire willpower in truly learning Consumer Behaviour & Market Research. john is an amazing person and teacher. He uses humor and his lively personality in order to keep students' attention in lectures of otherwise dry stuff. All of the class material is in the lecture packet. The class isn't a breeze but one could get a good grade with some effort.

To be honest, I am not a big fan of numbers and, in the beginning, I thought I would have a hard time and not enjoy the class. Happily, this is not how things went. I ended up getting interested in the subject and, even though it is still not my favourite one, I am sure the way you teach and how you take the class had a big influence.

Many students assume online classes are easy, after they find out that it's same as presential. I really enjoyed this class thou. Market Research is a though class anyway, it does not matter if it's presential or online. You must read the book. If you do not have a good level of business statistic then don't take this class period.

This course is a great tool to understand behavior. It is more of psychology rather than marketing actually. John does a really great job going in deep - you learn how marketers tag us to make us buying their products! There's a lot of concepts that you will have to read to understand better, but you will learn lots! Plus John always helps!

Makes the classes interesting and non boring

John is such a great prof! He gives amazing review for midterm/final (basically tells you exactly what to study for exams). There is one group project that is required. It is quite simple since he goes over what is required for it. I would definitely take John again without a doubt.

This guy is a marketing genius. I learned more from John than any other marketing professor I've ever had. The quizzes every week mirror his multiple choice questions in the midterms and finals. The short answer questions on his exams, however, are a little bit difficult to manage given time constraints. Other than that, amazing professor overall!
