This Professor really prepared me for CHEM 112. It will be hard but you just have to stick with the class and study for your exams. I wanted to make this review because there was none available. Again this class is hard but it is not impossible.

This lab was fun all around, he may seem tough at first but throughout the semester gets more lenient. As long as you pay attention and get the work done this class will be a breeze. Very accessible through office hours and pronto and really made this class a joy to be in.

Took this class during summer for 9 weeks so the lessons were very fast. He was tough at first but he got easier, maybe it was to weed out people since you really need to focus. His class is rigorous but he is understanding if we are stressed/need extensions/etc. Exams are fair and he emphasizes efficiency in lab and lecture. Beware that he changes his mind and schedule a lot and expects students to be available/on Pronto.

He's a good professor. He cares about his students but isn't going to hold your hands throughout the semester. If you need help, he'll be available to help you. He's fair with grading. He is a great professor, he really does care about the subject, I've learned a lot from his class but it is very fast pasted, and if you didn't really understand CHEM 110 a lot you will have a hard time playing catch up. He is also very understanding so if there is anything going on personally he will understand and make accomadations.

Professor Flores is the best!! Really enjoyed taking the class and everything was simplified and easier to understand. Pre labs and labs in general are a lot of work but it's normal before O-Chem. Totally recommend taking his class.

Prof. Flores is an amazing professor. I have had for CHEM 110, 111, and now finishing 112. I highly recommend taking him. He may seem harsh at first but it is because he cares about his students and wants them to pass. He is always open for Office hours and does his best to help you out. This professor does encourage improving a lot during the semester and even though you could start shaky, if you do put in the work you will be able to see results. Professor Flores is a great professor! He is very flexible and accommodates to your needs. He also gives a lot of time to complete each lab report and you are able to work with your table groups on quizzes and exams. We have one presentation where we can work with a partner which was not too difficult.

Professor Flores constantly shows his efforts to help to students succeed. He offers extra credit and group quizzes. He holds the students to a high standard when explaining concepts or completing assignments which is necessary if you consider pursuing a career in science.

It's his first time teaching chem112. He was a great 110 and 111 professor and it. He is still trying to perfect this class but nonetheless he still did a fantastic job and did his best to give his students the highest grades possible. This was a night class however so I would suggest going for an earlier schedule.

Flores teaches his class differently than other professors, as his main goal is to prepare his students for more advanced chem classes which involve a lot of writing and conceptual ideas. This class is really hard at first, as it takes some time to adapt to his style, but he's very helpful and the class gets easier as it goes on. Would recommend.

Chem 111 is not easy & takes a lot of dedication to get a good grade, so if you have a busy semester/workload be ready. I took professor Flores chem 111 before. It is his first time teach this class, but he runs the material smoothly without rash. As long as you review the lectures, doing practice, homework, and review past exam and quizzes, it will be very helpful. For the lab, it requires a lot work and discussion should be taken seriously.

Took this class because it fit the best into my schedule, but the teacher definitely knew the material he was teaching. Tests and homework were hard, but when I asked for help he took the time to explain some problems to me.

Professor Flores is not a teacher that sounds particularly nice and welcoming for starters so if that is what you are looking for then sign up somewhere else. Let me start by prefacing chem 111 is NOT an easy class.The material is quite challenging.I'm in his Mon/Wed class and the only reason I'm writing this review is to discredit the sudden chain of disparaging reviews he's gotten in the last 3 days.Very obviously a personal vendetta.Flores is always available to help when asked.He's a great professor.

If you struggled it's because you didn't do your work or ask for help. It's not this teachers fault that you aren't resourceful lol.

Writing because my group and I saw the negative responses and want to stick up for our teacher. I approached him when I really needed help and was falling behind and he did everything to meet me halfway. It's sad that someone has nothing better to do than to dehumanize someone on a website. In perspective, I come to class late almost every lecture, but he still marks me for attendance despite having mandatory attendance, he is very understanding. One of the most understanding and compassionate professors I've met. Genuinely cares about students' mental health and checks in often. Always available and responds quickly. The class moves fast, but lectures and outlines are clear. Gives group exams and quizzes to encourage discussion.

Flores is like the flowers who teaching finesses my brain. As I enter his class room he draws me in like the IMF forces within. Our bond is stronger than hydrogen and no amount of force can break us apart. External pressure may come but we keep it cool and stay solid throughout. He a good a prof.

There is a difference between a "strict" professor and a "fair" professor, although I admit he can seem intimidating at times, he had never been unfair. He is a man of his word, and as long as you follow through what he says as a student there is no chance you should fail. He is one of the more generous professors giving group quizzes.

I have taken 111 and 112 with Flores, there is not a chance he doesn't respect/care about his students. I say this because I have had friends who made mistakes or had a bad week, and if you talked to him he is always considerate and allowing for anyone to take a step back.
