I took Dr.Fredricks class my first year in college, I still use work from his class to guide me through papers 3 years later. I LOVE HIM. Tough grader, but if you attend his extremely entertaining classes and pay attention, you will learn a lot. Teaches at a junior college, but like a university teacher. He gives you the training you need.

Professor Fredrick's seems like a creative/talented man. However; his issues, which becomes quickly apparent if you take his class, out weight any gems or talent he might possess. He does not appear to be interested in teaching. He should find a job he loves. You deseve to be happy Prof. Fredrick's.

First, your not allowed to enter the classroom late. Although the Prof. Fredrick's does reserve the right to run his class over. Which in effect, makes you late for your next class. Next, his declared method of teaching, which Prof. Fredrick's refers to as the socratic method, is more like the intimidatation method. I should of dropped his class

Do NOT take this class if you are just looking to skate on through easily. I consider myself to be generally talented in English, but I was SERIOUSLY challenged in this class. To the last poster, Frederick is not helpful at ALL! If you ask questions he deems "stupid," he'll humiliate you in front of the class. He thinks abuse motivates students to work harder. Though ironically the man has such thin skin and cant take any criticism himself. He's not a good instructor and looks down on community college students.

He is unorthodox, unpredictable, and expects a lot from his students; if you think those are bad things, know that he teaches the material in the most meaningful way possible.
