Prof. Freeman is one of the best professors I've had. He is so passionate toward what he is teaching and loves student participation. The class prior to an exam is a review session and he tells you exactly what to study.

Professor Freeman is really nice and seems to care about his job. I mainly just didn't like the structure of the course. The only things that count toward your grade are 3 tests and a final, so if you mess up on one, your grade tanks. There is a good amount of reading but not a lot of it is necessarily necessary if you listen in lecture.

Freeman's lectures were super entertaining and engaging. He tied all of the subjects together very well and used lots of real-world connections to paint a clear picture of every topic. He teaches material very clearly and tells students exactly what to look for on the exams, how to study for them, etc. Really enjoyed the class and the prof.

Prof. Freeman is an absolute delight! He was a bit old school when I took him and used a projector that mirror his writing. Keep in mind that in order to succeed you need to go to review sessions as he goes over exactly what he's looking for and what the test questions will look like.

This class is by far the most interesting class I've taken at the U. Freeman is very knowledgeable in his field and makes himself and his lectures accessible and interesting. Though the class does have a HEAVY US tilt because of his background, it was still worth it and I learned a lot. Considering a global affairs major!!!

I loved this class. I'm a bit bias because I am very interested in the topic but I also liked Dr. Freeman. He's a little disorganised but clearly very passionate about what he's teaching which makes up for it. Makes learning the content easy, and literally tells you what's on the exams.

He is a wonderful person, he gives amazing feedback on all assignments and makes the student work to get better. The course is not the easiest I have taken, but as long as you work hard you will do well.

My favorite poli sci professor yet! I was nervous coming into this class as I am not very interested in numbers or know much about economy but after the first exam, I asked for help and he was willing to answer all my questions and even zoom with me before our exams for any extra questions. I went to every class session and that helped a lot.

It's clear that Dr. Freeman is passionate about his work, and this makes lectures all more exciting. He's definitely more old school in his entire approach to academia: in-person hand-written midterms, grading on paper instead of Canvas, etc. Your grade in the course was determined by the two midterms and final which were relatively straightforward
