Great teacher. Humble. Explains material pretty well. There is a lot of homework however but his tests and quizzes are very easy if you study.

great teacher! explains lectures crystal clear, very willing to help. the quizzes and tests are fairly easy to do as long as you do the homework. the problem is, there is a lot of homework and it is very time consuming.

I recommend this professor. He is very helpful. He explains everything in detail and answers all questions. You learn a lot in class but you still need to practice. The Pace of the gets a little bit fast but in general it's manageable. We didn't use Webassign software (useless software) which is a major plus.

He is a great professor. He answers all questions and I learned a lot throughout his class you just have to practice a lot on your own and do the homework attend class and you'll do good. Pr. Fuhrmann is great!. You can definitely get a good grade if you pay attention and work a little bit. He drops 3 hmws, 1 quiz and one of the tests with the final if you do better. Plus he returns all the tests and quizzes on the following day which is really great! Will definitely recommend him.

Mr. Fuhrmann is awesome. I've never had a teacher that graded tests so quickly or that cared as much about his students as he does. I wish I could take him for every math class.

I can say confidently that this teacher is amazing. Gives detail explanations on questions. Will help you with homework problems you have problems with. Test and quizzes are not hard as long as you do the homework. I would recommend him to anyone to take his math class.

Definitely recommend! He is very nice and makes sure everybody follows up. He does assign a lot of hw, but missing few hw won't kill your grade. His tests and quizes are easy if you go study over your notes and hw. If you can pay attention in class, then it's an easy A.

BY FAR THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR AT GCC. This teacher explains everything so well. His tests are so easy. His quizzes are easy. He also gives so many extra credit opportunities. He gives a lot of group work assignments which help you for the test. Loved this teacher.

Mr. Fuhrmann is a fundamentally good guy and on top of that, he's an amazing math professor. He will explain a problem until you understand it. He goes over quizzes in class so you know where you went wrong and may improve on it for the exam. Do the hw, practice those problems and you will get the grade you deserve. I wish he taught Trig or Calc.

Professor Fuhrmann is one of the nicest professors we students had ever met. It was a unanimous decision when we all agreed he was probably the only professor who cared about our opinion at the end of the summer session. He teaches very well. He puts a lot of time into helping students, gives test reviews and group work that help a lot, plus he is extra nice, love him. I wish he would teach calculus! you do need to do all the homework he assigns.

I loved him. I'm not really good at math myself but I took the time out of my day (almost everyday including weekends) to try to get an A and with his help, I did. I would take him again but he's not teaching Math 100. Bummer :(

After not taking math for several years, and then having to take it over the summer, i was really nervous. However, Mr. Fuhrmann was the best math teacher I have ever had. I ended up taking John's class because another prof I was considering was unavailable. Best decision of my life. Math used to be hard but John was able to simplify it and make it easier to comprehend. He always answered any question I had for hid. Before tests, he'll go over what will be on there. Make sure you attend class or you'll fall behind.

The best instructor I've ever had. You can see he prepares a lot before each class. Everything is clear explained, even if you don't understand something, on his office hours he will go over it 10000 times until you understand. During his class take notes and do the homework and you'll be ok. Also gives extra credit. He made me love math.

One of the best professors at GCC. His lectures are very clear and well organized so you never get lost. Fair grader gave partial points. The class was very smooth and according to his syllabus. Actually had fun in math and learned A LOT while doing so. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly one of the best professor at GCC. He's very organized, came in one hour early each day for office hours and went over the hw problems we needed help in. Tests were all off of what he taught. If you practice, do the hw, and go over the material after class everyday, it is definitely not a hard class to pass.

I retook Calculus with him and he was incredible I completely understood everything he taught. He gave us quizzes everyday but became more lenient on them as the semester went by. Every test he gave us was fair game.

I recently took Professor Fuhrmanns class during the winter and it was my favorite math class. I hated math growing up and he made me understand it so well and actually tolerate it. I always asked question during class and after class. Fuhrmann thank you for changing my view on math! You are amazing & I loved your class! : Such a great professor!

He is the best math professor I have ever seen. His lecture is clear and organized. Sometimes he says something wrong and some students remind him. However, those mistakes are not serious. Everyone could make small mistakes. He explains every steps clearly so that we understand them well. He really wants to help every student. Thank you.

Best math teacher i've taken so far at GCC. Very caring, very helpful, the only thing I was less than thrilled about was he gave us a 2 point quiz every class. (don't procrastinate and wait to do the homework, because it's a lot.) He collects the homework as a packet before the tests. (So don't be me and put it off until the last second)

Probably the best math professor there is. Really helpful and his lectures are clear. He does also give partial points and doesn't just mark the entire problem wrong. Attendance is mandatory too. Do not lag on the hw and all the test/quizzes are based on the homework.

Prof. Fuhrmann is a cool guy honestly. He is one of the few math professors that relate each section to how it is actually used in the field of science, engineering, etc. Very knowledgeable. Accessibly. Tests are hard, sure, what do you expect. You can't squeeze a peep out from this guy about the tests, just know its FAIR GAME. hahaha!

He's probably one of the best professors for 104. This class is hard, there is so much to remember, but he tries to make it as simple as possible. lectures are clear and tests are fair. Sometimes he doesn't finish the sections completely, so you might have to read those parts at home. He's also very helpful during office hours.

He is the best professor you can possibly have for MATH104. Meterials are hard and there so much to learn, but he makes everything so clear and easy. If you do your homework every night and do good in daily quizzes you will be fine for the final.

prof Fuhrmann is one the best and caring prof I've ever had in GCC. there is a quiz almost every single day but he is not too much strict about the quizzes so chill out and don't worry about them! calc 2 is a hard class the only way to pass this class with an A is just doing and solving almost every single problem of the book and that's the key

Honestly the best math professor Ive ever taken. I started off the class with high As but after Covina things got a little complicated but hes a very helpful teacher and made math easy and enjoyable. So a lot of it was to do it yourself and to learn some, if not a lot of everything by yourself. But he was very straightforward and to the point of what was to come for the class. Recommend him!

I took Math 90+ remote this summer, which is a hybrid 8-week course. I was scared I was barely going to pass but the Professor Fuhrmann was awesome! He explains the material well, gives great examples that will be on the test, and makes participation part of your grade. This was the 3 time taking it, and I passed with an A-! I highly recommend him!

By far, the best math professor I have ever encountered. He's kind and really wants you to succeed. He provides you with a detailed study guide and has HUNDREDS of videos to guide you through each section. His lectures are easy to understand and he answers every question, no matter how trivial. I no longer hate math, he's a gem, take him!

Professor John Fuhrmann made me to love math!

Overall, his class was easy and chill. Do all of his homework and learn his material. Don't slack off or cheat cause he will find out. He becomes stricter at the end of the semester. There are better professors out there but you can't go wrong with choosing him. Take your time to learn, practice, and ask for help from a tutor from GCC if needed.

Took math 100 over winter semester. Just to let you know his homework is two separate things (written and mylab) just the written is about 1000 questions. Covered about 41 chapters. My lab is the online book homework which is probably more. he doesnt teach you anything you have to teach yourself. prob take over regular semester.

The course was well-organized. The professor is always willing to help with questions on textbook problems. The lectures are clear and to the point. If used correctly, the study guides posted before each exam can be really helpful to ace the exams. Weekly discussion videos are very inspiring and they enrich your knowledge of different math fields.

Start strong in this class, so that in the end when youre given the final thats written by the other math heads, you can afford to take a hit. HW is heavy, but hes amazing at explaining. Honestly, once you take a professor like John Fuhrman, every other professor just pales in comparison. I took the hybrid class 10/10, sports analogies too! xD

Professor Fuhrmann is outstanding. I took his hybrid class, and it was super manageable, in my opinion. Concise lectures, fair exams where some questions are pulled directly from lecture examples/HW, etc. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to do roughly a few hours of homework a night -- give or take. If you can do that, you will do well.

Lectures are clear. He's available during office hours. He grades/responds quickly. Homework may be a lot, but it helps you understand the topics & prepares you for his exams (most questions are from the book/study guides). The common final was created by the Math Department (not him), but his exams and study guides will prepare you for it.

Prof. Fuhrmann is awesome! I took this class hybrid (lectures online, tests in person), and he gives you all the material you need to succeed! It's up to you to get the work done. Daily homework, which is great for me, it forced me to learn. Prepares you for exams, which are based on the homework. Gives extra credit randomly, awesome guy!
