I think the class is easy and very self explanitory. The instructions are clear and its good discipline. He is willing to help if you just approach him in the correct manner.

Class required lots of work and the teacher not very helpful out of class. However assignments were easy if given enough time. Dont Kid Yourself either do the work well and pass or just fail

yes he is a anal prof, he comes off as a very hard and strict teacher, but if you get to know him he is a very nice guy and if you have a B or higher in the class you don't have to take the final!! overall strict guy but an easy A! Reccomed taking him!!

Assignments are time consuming but interesting. Recommend taking CNA 267 first. Prof is strict in some areas, but so's the real world. Get used to it!

Appears mean in class, but if you talk to outside of class is very helpful and really cares if you show that you care.

comes across as a mean guy, but really nice on a one-to-one level. I would be picky w/ the format too if I had to look at 200 papers / day. Unlike most professors, this guy works hard and looks over everyone's assignment himself. Easy A, good guy.

Day 1 he's a brick. By day 20 you're either failing (that's the 5% of the class that seldom comes) or you have an A. Be patient with him and he'll return the favor. He goes SLOW in class, so take advantage of it and practice what he shows you. Take my advice = A.

Yes, yes he does come off a bit, well, cranky. My class has quite a few students and up until a couple weeks ago I figured I was just another seat number. But, while studying one day he walked by and smiled and asked me how I was doing. I was impressed...you don't get that from most professors.

He was a fairly good prof, pay attention to the slides and movies, highlight your book and turn in all labs and you'll do fine. A bit grumpy in class, but in person he's fairly nice.

He tends to be mean in class but on a one on one basis he is very nice. Go to class do the labs and don't talk and you will do just fine!

He looks amish but he is a good teacher. As everyone else says, he's grumpy during class but out of class one of the more helpful, nicest profs you'll meet. Don't talk and just do the labs easy A or B. OH! and don't bother emailing him, cuz he NEVER helps you through email for anything at all....

gammell is like a little amish troll. he's very strict and precise, but if you have questions go talk to him because he is a super nice guy and it shows you care and he'll be nicer grading your labs. go to class, so you get all the oints possible.

He's not that bad. Sure he's strict but big deal. The work is easy. Just go to class and be on time and you won't have a problem.

I heard he used to be a bus driver, and it shows, he will not tolerate ANY talking, he periodically stops class to point out people who are talking and wait a few minutes in complete silence staring at them until he feels he got his point across, he won't even let anyone be one MINUTE late!!

He was really strick in the class room, but if you see him during office hours he is a nice guy and is willing to help. the class required alot of work, but if you pay attention and do assignments right away you should be able to at least pull off a B.

Explained things very thoroughly. Was much nicer then any of these reviews indicate. Super picky though. Just show up on time, and follow the directions, and you'll learn a lot about Excel.

The SAM software really sucks and he can be confusing at times

I took this class in 2002 and i hated him back then. But now at work and in my masters program i realized how lucky i was to take that MS Excel class with him. I used VB programing that i learned in that class in one of my masters prgram and landed a great job because of it. So people take my advise and do take him for this course.

Wow,it's so great to see the future of the nation is riding on such idiots!Yes, he is a tough grader and expects a lot from students, but he is preparing students for the real world. Hello! Do you think if you do a crappy job or just don't show up for work some day you will get a slap on the hand? No,you will be fired! Plain and simple.

Tough class, but not if you pay attention, take notes, and do the work. Plus, if you set up office hours and show that you are interested in learning, he is a VERY big help. If you want to actually learn something, take Prof. Gammell. If not, stay home, drink your beer, play video games, and go nowhere in life. Losers!!!

May seem like a tough guy, but he's really not that bad. If you make an effort to do well in this class you'll be fine.
