He rawks my socks!!! he outlines all his notes and goes over stuff we should already know, but might have forgotten, to make sure that we will understand the lesson. Plus he has great handwriting!!!

Thorough, strong character/no baggage, meticulously prepared, has uncommonly broad experience and connects to more students, makes difficult material clear- if you work hard and were confused by others you should try Mr. G- he is exceptional!

i had him for a bo bo algerbra 1 class, and i passed with a C, he was an awesome teacher i passed his final which is all that matters to me!!!

I havent seen a great guy like Mr Gasper. He is one of the professor that attracts students to come to class and study not by forcing them to do so but by his amazing ability to teach.

calculus 3 is reall really hard but he tried to simplify it as much as possible.. What a great professor!!

Calc 2 couldnt possibly get clearer. He explains everything immensely well. If you dont understand something from calc, he goes over it, if you dont understand algebra, he goes over it... His tests are extremely straightforward, no unneeded difficulty.

By far, the best math professor at MCC. His notes are superb, the tests are straightforward, and is always willing to answer even the stupidest of questions. If you wanna succeed in college level math, I very. very highly reccommend you take Mr. Gaspar.

This professor is one in a million. He is awesome. He teaching style is flawless.He gives review sheets and goes through it in class before the test. (Ps review is almost alike like the test). You have to be there in class. He gives you a solution to the hw too. He got a sense of humor too! I would definitely recommend you. EnJoy

He is a pretty good teacher. He makes most things pretty clear. He doesnt review homework questions at all, though. It is impossible to make to see him during the 3 office hours that he has per week . He has a bit of attitude problem and can be very sarcastic. BUT Overall I'd say he is a good teacher.

Prof. Gaspar is the best! i am the weakest in math in this world however i took him for algebra and precalculus and still trying to take him for calculus. Gaspar made me love calc. He's extremely organized and tests are extremely fair. If you attend lectures and take notes and actually do some studying, you'll be fine. He's a perfectionist like woah in class and it's amusing. Not an easy class but if you try and study his notes you should be okay. Don't panic and drop the class! Give it a chance.

I rank Prof. Gaspar #1 at MCC! He TRULY cares about your success in his class and provides extra tools to ensure your success. He makes math fun and exciting. His tests are right from his lecture notes -not necessarily easy -- but, if you study, you can pass them. He does not have tolerance for minor mathematical errors - I got a B because of it.

He is good prof, but he need to be little easy when it comes to test. I dont think he have attitude problem, he is really good. He always say HI even if he meet u after 2 yrs. But u need to study for his test.

Easy. Can't be dumb enough to fail his class. Just copy the notes and you should be fine on the tests. Reviews are the same as the tests, so if you do fine there then u can deff. pass. GOT A B+

Prof John Gaspar is GREATEST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER SEEN !!! His tests are directly from the notes.. only do the problems which he writes on the board and its an easy A.. His Final is easy too as he tells us what to prepare for the FINAL.. GREAT !!! Attend his class otherwise you'll lost in the exam as the exam comes directly from his notes... EASY A!

He's the best. Very willing to help his students, and he genuinely cares. Calculus didn't come easy for me, but with his help I got a B. His classes are challenging, but you're in college, they should be challenging. The help is there, and he's one of the nicest professors I've ever had.

He is a good teacher, but his exams(although the are short) have some hard problams that are usually a lot of points. Doing some practice problems for his exam is a must, just do the one you did in class, they are usually on the exam.

He is a great professor. He actually cares about the students. He does go pretty fast and the test are sometimes very tricky. But he explains precalc in one of the easiest ways possible. he is a great professor and highly recommended

Excellent professor. Crystal clear, concise lectures with plenty of understandable examples. You can complete his tests with your eyes closed as long as you do the homework - the questions aren't difficult, they're literally based on the examples he gives in class. He's a generous grader and he'll explain whatever you don't get.

This guy is one of the nicest professor I have taken. That does not mean his teaching skills have the same effect on everyone. Personally, I have had trouble understanding what he was saying in class. However, his patience to help students in need is one of his best qualities as a professor. The point is, even if you struggle, he will help you.

Awesome professor! Had him for a calc II saturday class. Moved fast, but he had to. Very helpful in office hours. Assigned a decent amount of homework, but it was up to you to do it; he didn't check. If I needed another math I'd take him again.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. I had taken Calc I&II, and it's a shame he's not teaching III. The lecture is perfectly structured and exam questions are straight from lecture and HW. If you want an A, do the homework unless you're a mathematical wizard.

Honestly this proffessor is such a nice guy. I use to hate math until i had him and he literally taught me Calc 2 in such a way that it actually made sense and increased my interest towards math. If you show up to class and take notes exactly as hi writes them up on the board, you're pretty much guaranteed an A+!!!

He was so good and helpful despite the short time in the summer class I had with him. I wonder how good he is in fall and spring semesters which are longer.

I love this man. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. Very clear explanations and very helpful. Homework wasn't mandatory, but it did help with understanding the concepts of the later chapters. Exams were a bit challenging, but EXACTLY like the homework questions.

Best professor to learn Calculus II with. Explains everything thoroughly, gives you formula sheets to use on test and gives you answers to homework problems. I learned how to solve most problems from the lectures he gave and the tests where mostly based on the homework problems. Just do the homework and don't miss a clas and you will succeed.

He has 4 bad reviews out of 96. You do the math. He's fabulous! Very clear on what's expected of you, doesn't try to trick you on test questions and ALWAYS has a review day before a test! He's always willing to answer any questions you have. I took this course last semester and failed, but right now my average is a B! We need more profs like him!!

Before every exam he gives you a breakdown of the exam and goes over the types of problems you will be seeing. Seriously so mad that he wasn't teaching 131B. He really wanted his students to succeed. Best Professor.

Best Math Professor Ever! Gives notes in outline fashion making them easy to reference. Doesn't just throw problems on the board and solve them. He breaks things down into easy steps. I wish all math professors were like Gaspar. This country would be far better for it.

Prof Gaspar is prob one of the best around. His notes & explanations are very clear. Truly cares about his students and their understanding of the course content. He doesn't check HW but doing it is essential if you don't want to fall behind. Exam reviews look pretty much like the exams given. Keep up on top of HW & notes and it's an easy A

John Gaspar is by far the best teacher for Mathematics that I have ever had. His notes are crystal clear and is a very fair professor. I took him for 129B (Precalc B) and 131 (Calc) and his teaching style is solid. As long as you keep up with the work, do your homework, and show up to class you'll do fine. Gaspar is a great professor but be ready to actually work for your grade in his class. His notes are super clear and informative and as long as you do the homework he assigns, you should do well in the class. He is also willing to go over topics from previous courses briefly as well, which helped me a lot personally. Overall a very clear teacher.

Prof. Gaspar is an exemplary instructor. He teaches all the material really well, gives a small amount of homework problems (which are not graded) along with handouts showing step-by-step solutions. He's very kind, approachable, and super helpful during his Office Hours. His tests are not hard at all if you master the HW. Take good notes though.

Professor Gaspar was the best professor I have ever had. If you struggle in math you need to take him. This was my second time taking algebra 2 and it was a breeze. He teaches everything that is necessary to pass and he teaches at a great pace. Next semester is his last semester so if you need to take a math class take him, you wont regret it.

Professor Gaspar may be my favorite teach EVER. He has his lectures and notes down to a science. Wonderful at answering questions. Never hesitates to go back over the board and reiterate what he just went over. Never had a math class be so crystal clear before. This man really deserves a medal. Since the course is hard, sometimes it feels like you learn too much in one day, however if you do your homework you'll be right on track for the next class. Do not skip all of his lectures are important. Also with a class like this you have to put in the work he makes it as easy as calc gets

An excellent (perhaps the best) and a very thorough and comprehensive continuation of single variable calculus. Every minutest detail is covered and no stone is left unturned. For me, the highlight was the class was when he proved the Euler Identity via Taylor Series. It was mind-blowing.

Knowledgeable on the subject matter and able to clearly explain difficult concepts. Easy to understand and always so helpful.
