I liked his class. Although we had a quiz every day and his quizzes were challenging, but they were just like the midterm and the final. He is very approachable.

John Geiger!! wow!! one of a king...he truely cares if uyou pass or not and will talk o you about your grades...always willing to help during his office hours and always helps during labs...midterm was common sense you just have to know your basic information, other than that you're fine. Hey NO PLAGARISING!!! you will get caught!!!

Dr. Geiger is a good ecology professor, however, his syllabus states attendance is not mandatory but beware. Like some people in the university I have to work and couldnt make it to lectures. On my own time I read the book and used study guides.. My exams grades were high, and at the end he questioned my integrity because i wasnt in lecture.

He is a good professor and explains well. likes to tell stories and keeps you entertained. Attendance isnt mandatory but he takes attendance by turning in work. Most of the test is based on what he says in class, the rest is in the book. Doesn't curve, however does threaten to curve up or down! Dont get a high class avg or he will assume cheating.

Prof Geiger is amazing, he loves what he does. If you go to lectures that's all you need to pass his class, because his tests came from what he said in class, and do the reading.For the modules, you can just choose a good group of people who want to work not have fun, and you will get good grades on all of them.

great teacher and so funny...beware the syllabus may say that attendance is not mandatory but if you want to get an A or B u better go to class because he does these little questions in each powerpoint which we hand in at the end of class which counts attendance and it matters to him if u attend. take him!! and u will have to read the book

This professor is amazing. He truly cares about his students if you take the time to go to his office hours. His tests are straightforward from the powerpoints and speaker presentations. Your grade is based on more than just tests (quizzes, homework, scrapbook, etc). Explains everything clearly and with jokes. Highly recommended.

Extremely knowledgable in the area of ecology. It was his first time teaching the course during the summer; however, he was a very clear and straight forward professor. He is extremely helpful if you went to his office hours. If you go to class and study, you should be fine

Had him for Ecology. He rarely lets class dismissed early. His exams are all 50 questions multiple choice. You HAVE to read your book. For personal study, answer the 10 questions in the back of each chapter. Make sure you understand all the case studies, the figures, and tables in the textbook. Go to his office hours, he's always available :)

Prof Geiger is super funny well at least in my opinion. Going to class is a must in this class. I read a lot and i worked really hard to get an A but it is definitely doable. Read go to class and ask him for advice and you will succeed.

Amazing professor for senior seminar! Dr. Geiger is extremely approachable and gives great feedback if you request for his help. His syllabus is concise and clear, and honestly he's a relaxed person. You're allowed to pick your own topic and format it in your own form. I love the individuality that he allows us to have!

He is excellent !!!!!! I would recommend him to everyone! better than Terreros for Senior Seminar! Will only have to turn in a review paper (10 pages double spaced) , do a presentation about the review paper, a resume and do the final bio test (that is mandatory, but he doesn't care what you get on it). does take attendance!

I thought he was really funny, okay? He really tries to teach in a way as to not put the whole class to sleep and I think he succeeded. I missed one day and my grade dropped a letter grade. Attendance is mandatory, tests are decent once you get the hang of the types of questions he asks. Super nice and funny. Don't talk during his class its rude.

Dr. Geiger really is a great professor. He has four fair exams (60% of total grade), iClicker points (15% of total grade), and a CUMULATIVE final (15% of total grade (brutal, but not absolutely terrible if you study days in advance)). His examples and explanations are very good and helpful! PLTL (or alternate) is the remaining 10% of your grade!!!

He is a good professor the only bad factor about him is his test. He makes you memorize useless things such as mountain heights and lake depth. Overall he is not a bad professor you will learn partially. If you have a photographic memory you will pass specially since he gives a lot of easy homework which increases your grade a lot.

Geiger makes his lectures fun interesting but lectures and ppts alone won't be enough to succeed. Make sure to thoroughly read the book because he will put elusive information on the exams from the book. I read the book and often found it hard to answer the specific questions he asks on exams. End of chapter ques help. Does not drop any exams.

He is a really great professor, one of the few that actually cares and gets involved with his students; always trying to improve himself. Although Tropical Ecology is not of interest to me, I really enjoy him as a professor. What I don't like is having to bottle up a bunch of random facts just for the test.

STUDY ONLY THE POWERPOINTS IN DETAIL! His tests are extremely detailed like: what percentage of the earth has savannas. Know his powerpoints in and out and you will get an easy A. Dont bother with the book. Lectures are good, he is funny and kind. Go to class to get clicker/participation grade. No final, only tests that are NOT cumulative.

Dr. Geiger is an absolutely phenomenal professor!! I took him Spring 2015 for Ecology and now for Senior Seminar and got A's in both courses. He is hilarious, super helpful, straightforward, and TRULY cares for his students! He learned all of our names by heart and made everyone feel relaxed, which was a major relief for our Senior presentations!

The best professor out there. Every class he makes you stand up and talk for one minute to help with the 10 min. oral pres. you will give. 10 page paper on any topic. Mandatory attendance and gives random quizzes. Willing to help others. So funny and genuine.

He takes easy material and asks very complicated questions. I read the chapters, studied his lectures, and still could not score anything higher than a C.

This is the third class that I've taken with Dr. Geiger! He's honestly the best science professor at FIU. Super straightforward course! Four easy, non-cumulative exams (completely based off of his self-written PPT's), four 1-page reflection papers (super easy and interesting), a basic scrapbook & I-Clicker. Great Ecology Elective & an easy "A"!

Really funny dude. Very passionate about the subject. He remembers your name after one visit to his office. TBH its hard to get an A in his class since the exams are 75% of your grade and they are difficult, you MUST read the textbook or have something else... No curves, no dropped exams, no ex pts. I'm taking him again for Plant Life histories.

Dr. Geiger was chill for Senior Seminar. Every class, you had to stand up for 1-2 minutes to help you out for your presentation . You can choose any topic. He does grade the presentation somewhat hard. However, all the other assignments you do compensates for it. Show up to his office hours because this will result in a better final paper.

He is a great professor, super kind, very funny and his grading criteria is very clear. His exams aren't anything too bad. If you go to class and study the powerpoint you will be fine. He has clickers but gives partial credit just for participating. 4 exams, 1 final, 15% of your grade each. I highly recommend him, one of my favorite bio professors

Professor Gieger is one of those goofy but helpful teachers. Hes extremely passionate about everything he lectures so it isnt boring. All though there are a couple of things for this class from physical to online homework and in class participation. Its an easy grade as long as you keep up with the assignments & study, he also gives extra credit!

Attendance isn't mandatory but you need the clicker points for credit and you showing up helps you learn the material. Geiger is hilarious so you're never bored and skips boring subjects like soil chapters. You'll also need to take pltl or weekly assignments which are 10% of your grade.

Took Professor Geiger for Ecology and I have to say he is the best biology professor at FIU!! He has clickers, PLTL/weekly assignments, and tests. He does not drop your lowest test grade!! You NEED the book, his lectures are quick summaries of the chapters and as long as you read the chapters before or after his lecture you will get an A. Loved him

Geiger is a great professor! You can tell he loves his job, he gave great lectures and his PowerPoints are very helpful for the test. The textbook is needed for this course. Also, you will have to choose between taking PLTL or doing weekly HW assignments. This class is not an easy A but as long as you study with the powerpoints/book you'll do fine.

The best, you really have to read and pay attention to his lecture because his exams are fifty lecture fifty lectures. His powerpoints have no information just pictures thats why you have to attend class. Also exams are 70% individual and 30% group. EXCELLENT

Love him! Super caring and approachable, funny lectures, explains concepts well and breaks things down and repeats things for everyone to understand. Kind of tedious you have to do a 3 page chapter summary before each class and his ppts are mostly diagrams so its show up every class for notes and recordings or bust. Fair tests awesome guy overall

Amazing professor. He really enjoys reaching and lows what he does. You do need an iclicker for the class he gives 2 points per question in class one point just for answering them so if you do not show up thats worse than getting them wrong. Tests are easy if you read the book

He was so amazing. really feels like youre having a conversation in class. hes hilarious and really knows the material because hes an ecologist. Whole grade is based on PLTL, Clickers (lots of extra credit), and 5 tests. Cannot stress enough how great he is.

Geiger is a really nice guy and makes himself available in order to ensure your success. It is a very lecture heavy course and there is homework due almost every class. It is a lot of material, but putting in the work of going to class/taking notes and doing all the homework, you'll pass.

One of my best professors this semester! Although this class is lecture heavy he keeps it interesting and is very accessible. 4 exams + cumulative final each worth 15%, iClickers every class which is also how he takes attendance 15%, and mandatory PLTL which is 10% (probably the only negative thing about this class). AVOID THE LAB, TOO MUCH WORK!!!

Professor Geiger is a real gem. He's hilarious which makes his lectures bearable. He is easily accessible outside of class if you don't understand something. Only bad part about him is his PowerPoints are mostly just pictures and his iClickers a on what you are going to learn so they can be challenging. Besides that, he is a great professor.

I really liked Geiger as a person and professor but I understand why people don't like his teaching style. To do well on tests you MUST review the textbook, lecture notes help a little but the book is very important. Also I wouldn't go to the test reviews unless you have very specific questions because they don't review as much as answer questions.

Geiger is an awesome professor if you're a STEM major. The kids that don't pass, don't read the book and rely on the lectures. I promise you won't pass any class of any kind if you do that. He's accommodating, makes his lectures fun and easy, and answers all of your questions without ever making you feel dumb. This guy is a gem.

His class consists of 4 tests, pltl which is mandatory, clicker questions, and vocabulary homework. Study from his power points and the book for the tests. He gives extra credit. He is a gem, best professor at FIU . The test bank will help you pass the class with a C or Low B, its If you can find one . But if you want an A go to his lectures and read the Book, his exams are not hard at all. His lectures are the exams.

professor Geiger is a great professor but I do not like how the grading was not clear and he isn't great responding to emails. I had him during Covid and his honorlock exams to where you can't go back to a question and everyone bombed the final because he lied to us about recycling questions. Good Luck!

He is such a caring and nice professor! You MUST read the book since his tests are partially based on it. However, he is totally open to answer every question you may have during lecture. His tests were 50 multiple choice question but I finished the exams in less than 30 minutes.

If you're not much of a textbook-type of person, this class is for you. You will learn everything there is to know by watching the videos he designs. You will need to dedicate time to this class, but the homework is an easy A and he tries to help you a lot on the exams. Gives plenty of time to complete assignments and gives extra credit.

if you have the option to take a class with him, DO IT. Hes amazing at explaining and lots of fun. Hell treat you how you treat him, if youre respectable and nice, hell love you. Hes always open to questions and sometimes hell even explain concepts to you 1on1. Homeworks arent difficult at all, and they teach the concept well. SIGN UP!

Dr. Geiger is a great professor, and is pretty accessible out of class for the most part. However, his exams err on the very hard side, so I'd suggest rewatching the lectures as many times as u can. pltl is mandatory for 15%. Definitely take him and keep up with the reading. I wish he would drop an exam grade but he unfortunately doesn't.

He is super sweet and caring. Exams covered the same exact context as discussed in lecture. The textbook isnt 100% necessary but it helps a bit the pdf is online.

Easy class if you complete the modules fully. The hw assignments are due the same day every week and can all be done on the same day but it will take a while. Best way to study for the exams are to do his study guides which aren't hard and you get extra credit on the exam. Great class and would take it again.

This man is a great teacher. Theres mandatory quizzes every class but theyre not hard if u do the hw which are weekly playposits and questions. Theres an individual quiz and team quiz and the team quiz counts 80%. I literally got a 25 on the individual one and my grade stayed the same. Homework heavy so the grade mostly depends on that.

Dr. Geiger was hated by many. Let me explain. Circumstance got the best of him, and he ended up having to teach from home. I didn't mind, since the LA's were amazing and helped throughout. That being said, he was kinda hard to get a hold of over email, and the workload is sometimes overwhelming. But, he did give A LOT of extra credit so do it all!!

Will be teaching ur self a lot of the material, do have a lot of homework but it is manageable and you will have a quiz each class until your exam for each unit. You have to go to class if not you won't pass and he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities so literally do every single extra credit and you should be fine You also get help from LA's.

Geiger is hilarious and is well versed in Ecology. He doesn't really "teach" and just reads off the slides. For exams, you need to read the book and study the questions banks. If you know the question banks you will get an A hands down. Someone needs to send it to you though because he doesn't give them. iClickers so go to class for extra points!

Professor Geiger made the class very interesting he wasnt a hard grader and he gave plenty opportunities for extra credit points for the exams. He made jokes in the class to loosen us up and made everything easy for us to understand

He is the best professor I have had in college so far. He is really wholesome and his class was a pleasure to take. You can tell him youre competely lost and he would sit with you for hours to explain and nswer questions. If the exam wording was confusing he gave everyone credit for the question so do not be scared. Lvl 500 professor!

If you are on the pre-med track or just need to take a Bio class, TAKE PROFESSOR GEIGER. Yes, the work outside of class is a lot and a bit tedious but it pays off. You learn the material. There is quizzes every single class but if you study you are good. And team exams are always worth more than individual. You will definitely pass the class.

Took Geiger as a mixed online/in person class, meeting once a week for tests and learning content online. Geiger was always available to help via email or in his office, and provided very useful resources to succeed in his class. If you pay attention and complete work, you will pass this class

Great professor and very kind person. His playposits give you all the information you need for the tests. I recommend you take notes on them and study. Study guides are also like the tests and really help. He does a lot of extra credit; I was at a 83 with no EC and I ended at a 95 with them.

He's super caring and really wants you to learn the material. Quiz each week and little to no lecture- hybrid class, gotta learn the material on your own. Lots of EC. You should note is that this is not the easiest class, you gotta put effort to earn your grade. Exams were fairly easy and EC to bust up your grade. He's a wonderful person!

Geiger is one of the most respectful professors i've ever met who actually cares about his students. He is extrememly understanding and flexible as long as you comminucate with him. There are so many extra credit opportunities in his class alone so as long as you do the homework and do well on the team exams you're guaranteed to pass.

The goat. Tons of extra credit opportunities and all the homework and classwork does a great job of teaching you. There is a textbook but as long as you pay attention to the online assignments you really can't fail.

This section is hybrid, so you are expected to do all the required readings and assignments before the next class. Group quizzes are given each class and an individual exam every few weeks. Lots of extra credit opportunities which makes up for the amount of work he assigns. Overall this course is very helpful if you're pre-health students.

This professor is nothing short of remarkable! He is witty and funny which makes the lessons fun! I'm not a STEM major, so the class was hard for me and I had to study a lot to understand, but it was easier for those in the major. Only con is that you have mandatory PLTL which is all semester long :/ Lots of extra credit opportunities though!

I had this professor for the summer and he is one of the best.exams were questions that we got off the practice questions and quizzes that he had given us. We only had like 5 questions that weren't part of the practice questions &quizzes. He also offers a lot of extra credit and is willing to help outside of class.

One of the best professors I've had at FIU. His lectures are very interesting, and the material is easy to understand. Attendance is not mandatory; HOWEVER, if you want to get an A, you need to come to class for the iClicker questions. Exam questions are based on the PowerPoints, with no tricky questions. AMAZING!

Geiger is absolutely amazing! He explains things so well and it's very easy to understand the lessons as long as you do the PlayPosits and do the study guides for the exams. The exams and final are similar to the learning obejctives but you may have a couple difficult questions. Lots of extra credit though!

Geiger was an absolutely great professor. His lectures weren't boring to listen to and he is hilarious. The class structure (at least for Fall 2023) was chill for Gen Bio I - listen to lectures reviewing lessons and then do an individual and team quiz. He gives LOTS of extra credit so even if you do poorly on exams, you can still pass the class.

The professor gives super great lectures, is entertaining, and makes difficult concepts easy to understand. There is a LOT of homework but he gives you until the end of the semester to finish it with only one letter grade down. While there is a lot of homework it does make the concepts a lot easier to understand and exams based off it.

This is a hybrid class, be ready to do all of your work online. Geiger is wonderful though, the videos do a good job explaining the content, and the questions in the forums are excellent at making you apply the concepts that you learn.

Great professor! Tons of extra credit opportunities. The way the class is structured as a hybrid is well done. The team quizzes and exams do help with the final grade. Geiger's lectures are interesting and he breaks the concepts down in ways that are easy to understand. Playposits, discussions, and DemoEDs are time-consuming but helpful.

He's Hilarious! He encourages his students to really understand the material and not just complete the assignments. He offers a lot of extra credit but be prepared for those exams. The exams always caught me off guard but other than that, you have individual quizzes/exams and group quizzes/exams. I recommend getting the regular textbook though.

The best science professor ever. Take him to any of your science classes. Tones of extra credit and a lot of homework, but exactly what's going to be on the exams and quizzes. This guy gives out sooo much extra credit to the point that my grade went up one letter. It is even possible to go up two letters, too! He is really nice, sweet, and caring - wants the best for his students. TAKE HIM!!

Geiger gave a ton of extra credit. He put us into groups the second week of class and we had individual quizzes and team quizzes each class. He was good with his lectures and his explanations were great. His class wasn't really tough as long as you studied and paid attention in class. A few exams but you could have a cheat sheet for each one.

I took him last semester during fall term. He's a great professor! He cares a lot about his students and offers a great amount of extra credit. Don't take it for granted because I had a C throughout the semester, but with the extra credit I ended off with an A. His class is hybrid so you'll be studying most of the content on your own.

I've never left a review here before, but I have taken Mr.Geiger for like 3 classes now and he is always fantastic. His lectures are engaging and he is overall a fun and great teacher. He also gives out extra credit all the time. He's awesome

He is great, gives a lot of homework but if you pay attention to the homework and do it the test are easy. Hes very nice and explains well does group test/quiz which are a greater percentage of your grade than the individual quiz and you can ask for help in group test. Def recommend.

He is a wonderful professor. Very fun and engaging to listen to, but pay attention to his lecture classes as his exams bank on what he says in class. His power points have most of the information, but sometimes he mentions fun facts that will be in the exam so be aware. Other than that, it's relatively easy. PLTL is mandatory.

Geiger is the most engaging and passionate teacher I've taken class with at FIU. Though the class I took with him is hybrid, he makes it bearable. This class structure is unfortunate, but it isn't a reflection on the professor. He provides so much extra credit, it would be impossible to fail. Good professor, a GOAT.

Amazing professor. He wants you to succeed and gives you so much extra credit that it would be nearly impossible to fail his course. I would take him again for every class if I could. Ecology never interested me, but he does his best to teach it and makes the content fun and easy to understand. Geiger for president

Just his lectures alone and reviewing his powerpoints was enough to pass this class with an A. Alot of extra credit is offered.

Professor Geiger is fantastic! He gives homework that helps with tests. He's nice, explains well, and does individual/group quizzes that count for a lot. You can ask for help during them, which really helps, he also allows a cheat sheet for exams. Class is hybrid / independent study, but his lectures/resources make it manageable. Highly recommend.

Professor Geiger's class has a hybrid structure, but he provides great resources to make it manageable. Lots of extra credit opportunities, and the group quizzes let you collaborate. Unstuck AI was a huge help for exam prep!

Geiger is a super sweet guy! The class was a bit hard to get through but he is so easy to speak with. He always has this positive vibe to him like this man has no enemies.

This has been the best professor I have ever taken. He is so nice and lenient. He is really clear about what he expects and everything is clear on canvas as well so there is no confusion on grades or expectations. He allows all late work to be submitted until the last week and SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT(90+). You can tell he cares about his students.

A lot of this class is self-learning and there are many assignments due each week, but it helps your grade a lot and takes weight off the tests. He gives A TON of extra credit, it is impossible to fail if you do all of it. There are 5 tests and they are pretty difficult, but as long as you study sufficiently you'll be fine.

this class is hybrid so you will have to teach yourself most of the topics. he puts playposits as homework and they help a lot. please take advantage of his extra credit opportunities, they will help boost your grade a ton. overall, geiger is awesome!

He was a great professor. The class is hybrid and many assignments are given weekly but it is doable if you pace yourself. In class, quizzes and exams are done in groups after doing them in individually first, helps boost grade. Allows cheat sheets on all exams, even the final. Gives a ton of extra credit.

He is so wonderful to listen to and be around! Truly loves biology and wants students to pass. Gives every opportunity (so many extra credit points!!, great late policy, so many resources). 2 quizzes every class but you can get a TAs help on the team one and the individual isn't weighed much. Just don't be absent. Cannot recommend more!!!

Great professor. Really tries to make the lecture engaging and truly wants his students to pass. This class is hybrid so how much you learn also depends on you. Grades are based on weekly individual and team quizzes along with homework assignments such as PlayPosits, forum questions, etc. Lots of extra credit. Take him!

Geiger really cares about his students and wnats them to pass. If you put in the effort, you cannot fail. The class was hybrid so a lot of the material is self taught but he is more than happy to go over anything you may be confused on. The way his grading is structured makes it really easy to make up any low grades. Overall an amazing professor!!

Literally a great professor. So engaging and easy to understand. Studying his PowerPoint and iClicker questions greatly helped on exams. He is quick to assist with any queries and so worth taking. He is the best. Heavily recommend.

Every week, there was a quiz on the chapter/chapters. The quizzes included individual and group questions. You cannot miss a class because it automatically removes points from the quizzes, which will result in a grade drop. The due dates are very lenient, and it's easy to pass the course if you're on top of each assignment.

There is always a pop quiz every class so make sure to go to class. Other than that very simple as long as you do the playposit and demoeds on time.

He is very nice and can be funny, gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. The class is homework intensive but they stay open until the end of the semester. Quizzes every week. A lot of TAs are there to help as well.

He's extremely approachable and there's a lot of opportunities to learn the material and pass. Each class there's a quiz on the topic so as long as you study, you'll pass. There's lots of extra credit opportunities as well which carry a lot of weight

Lots of reading. A textbook helps but is not required. Weekly assignments. Attendance is not mandatory, but each class has a quiz or unit exam with individual and team parts (LAs help a lot—easy 100%). Tons of extra credit (80+ pts). Not much lecturing, so you teach yourself, but doing assignments and EC makes passing easy.

I honestly have not had a professor who cares more about the actual learning subject than only worrying about the letter grade. He is a really chill dude who only wants his students to use real-world examples and use the principles used in class instead of memorizing definitions and worrying about the end result. TAKE HIM!!! 10/10

amazing professor

This was the easiest class ever! There is so much extra credit it's impossible to fail. Since it's a hybrid class you do all the learning yourself but it's simple and the homework prepares you. There's an individual and team quiz every class but you get help and they aren't worth too much. Take him!!!!

- good lecturer, kinda funny - little work, grade based on participation, PTLT, quizzes due night before exams and exams - textbook mandatory but he doesn't use it, recommended for studying - easy class to pass if pay attention during class, I got a 96 on the final with 30 mins of studying - extra credit 300 word essay for all exams

Professor Geiger was great! I took his class hybrid so it consisted of watching PlayPosits at home, some lecturing in class, & individual and group quizzes each class. He offers lots of extra credit which helped. There were individual midterms & a final, which were then taken in groups. Doing quizzes & exams in groups help overall grade a lot.

The most amazing professor I've had in my life. Professor Geiger wants you to succeed, be confident and try your best. Given lots of extra credit opportunities and even outside of class mentorship opportunities. This man was a breath of fresh air during a tough semester. Geiger supremacy!!

he makes lectures fun and easy to understand. ATTEND every class and take notes, bc if not youll miss important things he emphasizes and clicker questions that are not on the pwps. i would not take him again bc my career has nothing to do w ecology and I had to take time away from my other classes to study for his 4 midterms and 1 final.

Great Professor and awesome lectures! 5 exams in total, 50 questions each, and they can be kind of tricky, but he offers a lot of extra credit assignments. He does iClickers every single class. Overall, you will learn a lot, I definetely recommend his class. Take him!

Geiger is a great lecturer and you can tell that he really cares about his students. My only real issue was that he makes you sign up for a another class called "PLTL," which makes up 15% of your grade. He believes it helps students, but in my experience it was not helpful and only added an extra thing to my plate.

I took his ecology class over summer C which was very doable. He gives a lot of EC and is very understanding, I had a low B ending the class but his EC made me end with an A. Just study the PPTs and you'll be fine. Exams are very application based but get easier as you do more exams.

I took BSC 2010 with him as a hybrid course and you do the assignments because you learn all the work yourself and then in class its a mini lecture to review then an individual quiz followed by a group one. This class is very reliant on the play posits, quizzes, and tests. Do all the extra credit it will be the difference between a B- and an A.

Super funny and offers lot of extra credit, do the extra credit and study a little and you should get a pretty easy A.

I took the hybrid version of his class that was only once a week and 1 hour 15 mins, but we always were done by 9ish. Attendance wasn't mandatory but if you don't come you'll miss the quizzes every class. Didn't really try in his class and still good a good grade. He gives LOTS of extra credit. Very passible class even without trying.
