I had professor Gregg for English 43 and 105 back in 2012. He was a wonderful teacher. Always there for you when you needed help and he graded fairly. All the negative feedback is false. He teaches very well and is a pleasant professor to be around. I wish I could have taken him for other English classes.

I absolutely would take his class again. All the negative feedback is false. He is a great professor and really cares about his students passing. I could write a whole essay on good things about his class... haha. But he really does involve his students in his lecture and gives great, clear feedback. He also returns work back within the same week.

Wouldn't take the class again. Doesn't help you at all and isn't clear about things that he wants done. Worst professor at Mesa. Take professor Motaleb if you wanna enjoy English!

Fairly easy class, lots of small daily assignments that impact the grade a lot. 3 essays-2 can be revised. 1 research paper. final-in class essay. Focuses a lot on plays and is big on grammar. No textbook but lots of small books that a mandatory(cheaper side) Always offers office hours. As long as you do the assignments you should pass.

Nice professor and is polite. If your late or don't have the book he will berate you (never happened to me I just witnessed) isn't very clear on assignments, very tough grader. Prepare to have things marked wrong on papers because he has a better way to say it.

Excellent instructor. He assigns homework nearly every class day, usually reading of the material and short answer format. His expectations are very clear: do the homework, show up on time to class, bring the required reading materials. He does not tolerate students without the materials, so bring your books to class or you may be ejected.

Great professor always clear with his instructions. The class is composed of 4 essays a final and many daily assignments. If you work you can get a good grade because he lets you do the essays two times. The only inconvenient is that you cant miss class and cant miss assignments because they count a lot. Do all the work on time.

An amazing English professor! I had him my first semester and am so sad he does not teach 205. Yes, he gives daily assignments but they are fairly easy and work in your favor if you aren't great with essays. He is very kind and always eager to help you if you are struggling. As long as you do the work and put in effort you will pass.

Hes a really nice guy, dont get me wrong. He likes to make conversation with his students, but its a lot. Essays arent graded lightly, he likes everything perfect. It was a pretty easy class to understand, just pretty time consuming with all of the stories and plays we had to read.

I really enjoyed his class. There is something due almost every class, but the assignments are very quick and usually takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Do them, they help you write essays properly or understand the content further. His lectures provide new perspective on the readings, and give you inspiration for essay topics. Bring your text

Prof Gregg was an absolute gem during the COVID-19 pandemic. He seamlessly transitioned us to online, reworked his syllabus, adjusted all the assignments, and continued our scheduled lectures without a hitch. He was consistently available for questions/clarifications and has such a warm, kind demeanor. In-class work was straightforward and fair. A+

Professor Gregg is a super nice and caring teacher. His lectures become much more interesting with participation from the class. There's a short story response at the end of each class, but they're not difficult assignments. As long as you turn in all the work, it's not a hard class. I would suggest this professor.

I have honestly never liked english. I hate writing essays especially since I take very long to do them just to get a bad grade but with Professor Gregg I have gotten really good grades and even better feedback. He gives us the opportunity to improve our essays to get a better grade which is so nice. Overall he is really kind and helpful.

Professor Gregg is a very nice teacher who is very invested in the readings. You need to attend every class as he has a daily assignment due at the end of the lecture. You write 4 essays and revise them. Lots of writings based on the assigned readings but as long as you read them and his feedback he gives, you should be good.
