I really liked him. It was a lot of work but it was never graded as strictly as I thought it would be. He is very staight forward and as long as you do the online tests you will do fine. I would recommend this teacher to anyone. He is very intelligent and knows what he is talking about.

I loved him. he's a great professor and i would recogmend him to anyone. i also recogmend taking him for both lecture and lab. he's hard but he really wants to help you learn.

His tests are hard, but if you study his notes from lecture, then you should do fine!! If you talk to him outside of class, then you should do fine in the class!!

I LOVE THIS GUY! He talks fast but he's brilliant and always interesting. You HAVE to attend class, pay attention, and study, too. Don't take the course if you're not serious. But DO take it from him if you are. He truly cares about each student...charming and funny, too! He's the best.

Tough course but the teacher makes it fun. Hamilton is a brilliant man. Talks a little fast and writes a little messy. Not an easy A, but if you want it it can be had.

He is very tough but you do learn biology by the time you are through! I have never made an A in science until I had him! He is very helpful but is serious about studying for many hours!

It's a lot of studying, but he is so brilliant and you enjoy the class despite the work. he convinced me to go from a journalism major to nursing. He is so friendly and helpful and SO funny. If you're not willing to work hard for his class, don't take him, but his lab is the easiest on campus.

Great teacher, he really increased my passion for science. Very tough though, but he will tell you everything you need to know.

I LOVE THIS TEACHER SO MUCH!!! i was always in his office, getting help but more often just hanging out and talking. his class is work but he makes it so funny! HIGHLY recomend him! i hopehe teaches the rest of the bio blasses that i need cuz i want him for all of them.

I love this professor. I'm not a science person at all but he's so awesome. He's one of the funniest guys ever, and he doesnt even try to be which makes it even better. I love this guy. take him, the lab is really hard, but if you go to class every day and ask questions, he is extremely helpful. almost makes me want to be a teacher, very inspiring.

I had him until the drop date and dropped the class. I thought he was a really hard teacher. He expected way to much out of you and seemed to be one of those teachers that don't understand you have other classes. I would not recommend him to anyone else! He is funny but it doesn't make up for how hard he is.

He is SO FUNNY!! His class has a lot to do with everything and it focuses on Biology. His lab was great! You have to work for your grade, but it is rewarding when you mak the grade!I reccomend him only if you are a serious student.

He is a very hard but very good teacher. I wanted to drop his class and then decided to stick with it and it payed off in the end. You have to study everyday for this class and know everything he goes over. If your looking for a challenge take him!

I thought he was a very nice guy. His class was not that hard if you are a focused student. All you have to do is come to class and pay attention. People who think it was hard probably never showed up. I got an A and I didn't study everyday, I just went to all the classes.

Overall, I like his class. His tests are lecture based, you don't even need to buy the book, just study notes from class. You have to attend every class. He's very intelligent, and he has high expectations for his students. You end up studying a lot for his tests. It's easy to get an A if you study. He is pretty good about helping you after class.

He's great if you like biology, don't take his class if you want an easy A. He's really clear about what he wants, and you have to study a lot for tests. His lectures are really interesting, but he goes all over the place.

I LOVE Dr. Hamilton! His class is really interesting and fun. He has the energy and enthusiasm of a little kid, which keeps your interest. You don't have to read the book, just print off his notes from his website. His class is easy, if you just study your notes before the test. You can't miss class, though; his tests are entirely lecture-based.

Amazing professor! A litte off the wall, a little crazy at times, but very intelligent. Definitely knows what he is talking about. Always willing to help students. His explanations helped me in my lecture class a LOT. The only thing i would do different is take him for lecture also.

Dr. Hamilton is a really nice guy. He's very funny and will tell you some great stories. But the class is no breeze. Always review your notes before taking the quizzes and tests, because everything is from lecture.

I thought this guy was the ABSOLUTE bomb! I have never really been intrested in biology ...while taking his class I understood EVERYTHING even though it was difficult stuff. Just do the work and show up for class. That's all he really asks of you.

I will admit, he is a hard teacher, but at least he taught us something worth listening to. He's funny and incredibly knowledgeable. His class was something I didn't mind getting up to go to at the crack of dawn.

Best science dept. teacher at GSC. Must attend every day and study hard, but you def get your 50 minutes worth in his class. By far my fav course at GSC. If your looking for ease of class do not take this one, only come if your willing to learn.

Dr. Hamilton is a great teacher. He is tough and expects a lot, but you will learn a lot from him. His class is not easy and you will have to study hard to make it, but it's worth it. Make sure to study his practice quizzes before every test and look at his website often, it's a good study aid. Overall very good teacher.

Great guy and teacher. Sets his standards for his students high. Excellent web notes. Lots of practice test to study. Sticks to his "what you should know for test" list. I was lucky to get him. He is full of energy and funny. You have to work to get a good grade but he helps a lot.

He is by far one of the best professors at gsc. you don't need to buy the book because everything you need to know is in his lecture. attendance is not mandatory, but you should want to come to this class! He is very interesting, but kind of random sometimes which seemed to make the class more interesting. Recommended!! :)

Dr. Hamilton is a great guy! He is more than crystal clear about EVERYTHING almost to the point of annoyance. Do not buy the book for lecture only buy the lab book. I haven't opened my book once the whole semester. He has lab notes you can print off that he lectures from. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Dr. Hamilton is an amazing teacher. His tests are extremely difficult and require thorough knowledge of the topics, not simple memorization. He is very helpful and encouraging and wants you to do well but you MUST take the initiative and study hard or you will not do well. The practice tests on his page and on MyA&P.com are wonderful study tools.

Dr. H is a very great man! He's very easy to understand (he will repeat himself if he has to, but he will not delay the class at all). Will help students but don't expect any grade curvings! His tests are mainly "fill in the blank" w/o word bank (either you know the "answer(s)" or not, but willing to hint you if you ask for help on the question).

Yes, small details have to know! But still, if you're lending toward the health field, it's good for your future! Again, excellent professor! Don't be intimated by his tests, overall his lectures are great! Made A's in both of his lecture and lab. You'll just have to study hard for those A's. Overall, I really enjoyed Fall 2009 with him. Had him for human ap. I am getting my associates in science and he is ABSOLUTELY the best science teacher. if you study hard, youll make an A. Love him!!

I've had Dr. H for Biol 1101 and AP I and II and while he is hard and you have to pay attention to the little details he is quite possible one of the best teachers I have ever had!

He is a great teacher took him for this class and went on to take him for biol 2120 and 2130. Very supportive you will learn a lot but be prepared to study

Excellent professor! Took him for both API & APII summer split session (3 1/2 wks per course!!!!) He kept the energy up and really made sure everyone understood the subject matter. BE PREPARED to study, study, study. I lived and breathed these courses all summer and it paid off with A's in both classes and labs! Teaches from his web notes-loved it

LOOOOVE HIM! He is such a great teacher! He explains everything in so much detail. He is willing to help in anyway he can. He is very nice abd his tests are over exactly what he says! He wrote the book and goes straight out of it. Take notes and listen to him and you will totally pass!

Dr. Hamilton is a great professor. He explains things very well. I didn't do well in Biology in High School, but I made a B in his class. He will intemidate you at the beginning of the class that his class is hard. But, go to class and take notes, and you'll do great!

He is a very nice guy, and will help you out a lot. Anytime you are taking a quiz or test, just go tell him if you are confused with one of the questions and he will help you to get the right answer. Go to his office before EVERY quiz and test and you will do great. He really knows his stuff, never uses the book. Take him for lab too.

Took him for lab and loved it! He's such a funny guy. Main quality I loved about this professor is how clear and patient he can be. For some one like me where BIOL is a weak subject..he really spent a lot of time slowly explaining and going into great details with each student.

He moves fast and is very detailed. For the test, he expects you to know all the information. The class is hard, but i actually enjoyed it, and I'm not a biology person. he is always willing to help. i would definitely take another class that he offered.

IT IS VERY HARD but if you really want to pass you can. STUDY STUDY STUDY!! Plus he doesn't use text book, teaches from notes. Plus he's funny! :)

Best teacher I've had since attending. Very clear and concise, but TAKE NOTES. He provides a lot of resources online and they are extremely helpful for the tests. I never learned anything from my high school Bio teacher but he makes it easy to understand.

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR. Took him for split session 2130 in the summer. A lot of info but he was very clear. He was hospitalized during class and taught us from his hospital room. Dedicated to helping his students pass but you can't slide by, you have to want a good grade to get it. Ask questions, take notes, and study and you'll do fine. RECOMMENDED!!

Greatest teacher EVER!!! He is very hard but he stresses that through out the semester. You learn so much through out the semester, adn he is always willing to help you if you dont understadn something. He is a great teacher and you will learn something from his class. Dont take if you are looking for an easy A you will have to work for it.

Had him for BIOL1101 and he was the professor that inspired me to go into the healthcare feild. I also had him for A+P split session in the summer. All of the classes I took with him were challenging but he will help you achieve your grade goal if you meet with him outside of class and show that you are a good student. TAKE DR. Dr. Hamilton is the best professor I have ever had. He is also the hardest professor I have ever had. But, I learned so much from his class. I would much rather apply myself a little more and have a great professor. Lots of studying is required, but tak this class with DR. Hamilton. You will know your stuff at the end of the class. I highly recommend this teacher for biology majors or those who truly want to learn. He is a great lecturer and often jokes around, which keeps the class engaged. With that said, his class is rather hard so you better study hard. No textbook needed! He will give you the address to his website, where all of his webnotes can be printed.

Dr. John Hamilton is by far the best and most enthusiastic instructor I have ever had! He provides highly detailed notes and has a wonderful website that is really useful. He responds with warped speed to emails, stays after lab to help & keeps his lectures interesting. If you want to LEARN A&P TAKE HIS! If you just want an easy A go elsewhere.

Professor Hamilton is GREAT. There are only small handful of professors that have left a lasting impression on me and Dr. Hamilton is one of them. He is one of those professors that is really hard, but will make you push yourself to your fullest potential. Take this class if you want to truly understand the content, because it is not an easy A!

Absolutely AWESOME prof. There's a lot of info to study but he does his part by explaining it all VERY well, you just have to do your part and STUDY it! Very clear. Gives back grades at lighting speed. Willing to help students understand. Replies to questions by email in depth which is very helpful if you cant make it to office hours. TAKE HIM!

Anatomy is not an easy subject. With that being said Dr. Hamilton gives you all the tools and directs you to what is important to know. He is NOT one of those professors that tries to trick you... but you need to come to class and respect his time. He grades everything on the spot (WHICH I LOVE). A recorder (especially day before tests) helps.

Dr. Hamilton is such an amazing professor! This semester I went to UNG as a transient student and I didn't know what to expect. His lectures are very clear and he does his best to make sure that you understand the material. Be prepared to study though! It is a lot of work!

He is amazing! He is very approachable and really tries to help wherever he can. His tests are very hard, but you just have to study harder!He tells funny stories in his lectures which makes class entertaining. Be prepared to be in class a few minutes after the assigned end every day because he has a lot of information to cover and not enough time

I suggest printing out the lecture notes and then following what he teaches in class. His test are hard but there's nothing wrong with studying a little harder.

A&P is hard in general, and Dr. Hamilton is a difficult teacher because he wants you to become fluent in the material. As long as you study hard you will pass. Taking him next semester!!

Dr. Hamilton is one of the more difficult professors I've taken, but by far one of my favorites. He definitely pushes his students to work for their grade, and missing class can set you back pretty far. He's great at helping outside of class when needed, and his tests are very representative of his lectures. I'd take more of his classes if I could!

I had Dr. Hamilton for Anatomy 1 & 2, and I can honestly say I have never worked harder for a good grade. He is tough but fair. If you don't have the time outside of class to dedicated to studying then this course will be very difficult. That being said he is an amazing professor and I would take another class from him in a heart beat!

I took his class for A&P 1 and it was by far the hardest class I've ever taken. Half of the class dropped by the first test. Be prepared to spend hours studying. He really cares for the students and wants them to succeed. He is very knowledgeable and his lectures are amazing. He prepares you very well for A&P 2.

This man is awesome! 10/10! He grades your exams super fast, like the same day! He is so nice too, he gives so many words of encouragement! His lectures can be funny! All the material on the exam comes straight from what he writes on the board. Be ready to write good notes, he lectures in the lab and in the lecture for your lecture exams!

Hamilton is my favorite professor at UNG. I had him for Bio 2120 and Bio 2130 and passed both with an A. don't need the textbook, he creates a website and everything you need is on that website. Lab is easy if you attend and pay attention. He truly cares about his students. And when he says that he answers emails at anytime he really means it.

This class covered a lot of material so you need to study to keep up between lectures. The tests are difficult and have a lot of fill in the blank questions, so you need to be able to label parts and work problems from memory. Ultimately I learned the material and I'm glad I did.

If only his collogues were as skilled in their craft. His greatest flaw is that he is not teaching at a more prestigious university. This man is organized, intelligent and a consummate professional. He may demand a lot, but he gives even more. Everything you need to ace the class (and more importantly - learn anatomy) is provided from day 1!

Professor Hamilton is a great choice for A&P II. His notes,study guides, and homework questions are very detailed but are exactly what is on the exam. He welcomes questions and does not make you feel dumb at all. He is very quick to grade exams & he will give you positive feedback no matter what grade on your exam is. Very great professor overall!

Entirely best professors I've ever had!! Traditional teaching style (uses chalk, no ppxts but it's not bad). He goes in-depth go to lecture & you'll be fine. He wants students to succeed, if you are struggling he's very helpful to get you to understand the content. Grades are only 5 exams, 6 quizzes & 3 homework assignments. Quick email responses.

Im going to give this to you straight. Professor Hamilton is straight up bonkers. He's been teaching for like forever and is very old school. Says class is tough because it is. But, if you like anatomy, like really like anatomy. Go with Hamilton. Dude LIVES Biology. Thinks about it 24/7 and truly is a good teacher. 9/10 -1 for weirdness.

He was absolutely amazing and the best professor I've had. I will not lie though, this class is extremely difficult and you'll have to put in a lot of time and work to pass the class. It is definitely not the type of class you can just get by in, so make sure you study and do NOT get behind. He tries to be as clear as possible which is helpful.

Class is test-heavy with lectures and labs. Lecture notes and other necessary materials are available on the professor's website. Lab can be hard to learn because he tends to do an overview of the terms on the models and expects you to learn the rest by yourself but it is ideal for people who prefer to work independently. Will email you back fast.

Dr. Hamilton is the best teacher I have ever had. Anatomy is extremely difficult, because there is so much information. He uses a chalkboard and is a subject matter expert. If he doesn't go over it in class, then it's simply not on the quiz or test. No mandatory homework and he has a very helpful website. STUDY THE NOTES FROM THE LECTURE!!!

Professor Hamilton is a great professor. definitely have to go to lecture because everything he goes over, is on the test. His test are hard, if you do not know the material. you have to study! he definitely made me into the student I am today. the notes are crucial. I loved Dr. Hamilton! The class has Lab + instead of lab being a separate class, he aligned it with what we went over in lecture. He's very funny. Theres only 2 tests + 2 quizzes in lab, 3 tests, 3 hws + 3 quizzes in lecture. He was always available + very encouraging. Take good notes and you'll pass. He made anatomy easy + I highly recommend him!!

Dr. H class A&P 2 is not easy!! You must work hard and study!! However, Dr.H is the most helpful professor I've had so far. He wants ALL of his students to succeed. If you have questions ask during lab he will help you. No powerpoint, he use the chalk board, but his lectures are AMAZING!! Great man!! He will provide you with resources you need.
