The difficulty I had was due to the fact that I took the accelerated course, but Mr. Henderson made every effort to help students succeed. He gives clear lectures and instruction, so we knew the criteria he was looking for in our work. He checked in with everyone individually to ensure we understood. He is very approachable and compassionate.

I took his summer class, it was his first time teaching ENGL 1302 and I believe it was also his first time teaching a summer course. He crammed a lot of work into each lecture. There was also a reading assignment every night due the next day. He gives clear instructions and criteria but is a tough grader. Participation is a grade!

Every class is beneficial information and missing classes can get you behind since the professor is able to into depth with the information in person it is recommended to not miss a class. Mr. Henderson is one of the greatest professors I have taken. He is really understanding and chill. The assignments he gives might be difficult but he'll give you really great feedbacks to improve your essays. He gives you time to work on your assignments if you turn it in late he will take off a couple points and it's better than nothing.

His powerpoints which he does his lectures on are accessible on canvas and are very good notes and lectures. His feedback on essays and help on assignments are thorough and easy to understand and follow upon.

My only criticism is that he grades the homework assignments on a 1-10 grading scale, so really try to get 9's and 10's. Essays are graded on a 1-100 scale so that good.

He is chill but grading may be strict if you don't follow his strict criteria's. He won't let you fail on your daily work but don't BS it or else you're going to get a 7/10. Probably a 6/10. This guy is really good. While attendance is not mandatory or affects your grade, it is very helpful to be in class because there are lots of lectures.

Professor Henderson was a really great teacher. For British Literature, he would breakdown and give background information about the literature and truly help us understand the idea it was trying to get across. His essay's are a little difficult, his rubric was very specific but after the fist one it was really easy to keep the flow of the essay.

Professor Sendy Hendy is amazing. His passion for Brit Lit is contagious, making texts engaging. He makes a supportive classroom where every student feels comfortable sharing ideas. His dedication to students' success really lights the room. Great class.

He was very understanding when we couldn't be in class. He was also very respectful and I felt as though I was abel to breath in that class and he was very fun to learn with. He was always respectful and was really enjoyable to have a class with.

Mr. Henderson doesn't grade based on attendance, but you must be in class to get discussion points. He gives direct, clear rubrics for essays and allows 10 points back for revisions. He is super understanding and caring for all his students, and wish I could take him again!

Professor Sendy Hendy is great and he made the material easy to learn. He was quite funny and he compared our topics to real life and he gave pdfs of our readings to make them easy to access.

He is an amazing professor who enjoys what he does, he is fair in grading as long as you read and turn in your work on time, he makes everything very accessible and overall definitely my favorite teacher this year.

John Henderson deserves his flowers. A professor wanting the best for his students in terms of understanding course material. Always speaking honestly when giving you feedback. I enjoyed having him, the learning atmosphere was very fun and engaging.

Mr. Henderson was very easy to engage with. He helped us understand the text in a literal sense as well as what it would say connecting to its time period.

The class is pretty chill, it's a heavily discussion based class. As long you do your reading journals and show up to class, you'll make a good grade in the class.

Very good professor on a 1-10 work load I'd give it an 8 however its not extremely difficult to do or anything. The work you do is very cool sometimes and the books are pretty interesting I thought I wouldn't like some of them and ended up enjoying them a lot.

Mr. Henderson is a knowledgeable professor, he does grade tough so make sure your assignments meet the rubrics criteria. There are reading journals over the novel we are reading every class period, the reading journals are homework due before each class period. The major grades are essays and are all explained well. Be ready to talk a lot in class!

From the moment he walks into the room, the atmosphere shifts. Time seems to fly by and our minds become enlightened. He is a very good professor, and his lectures are actually entertaining. All you have to do to pass is to read short passages assigned every few days. Your life will become divided into two parts: Pre Henderson, and Post Henderson.

I really enjoyed this class as someone that doesn't like English classes. He teaches the class very well and your expectations are clear. You don't need your textbook because he leaves links to all the stories. Brit Lit 1 has 3 essays and a group presentation besides those 4 things, class is all about reading the story and discussing it in class.

This professor is great he is very understanding and wants you to succeed he is a tougher grader and participation matters a lot in his class! overall he is a great Brit Lit teacher and I would take it again if I had to.

Mr.Henderson is a funny, engaging, and understanding professor. We mainly did reading journals everyday and after discussed them with the class. He is one of the harder graders so I would make sure to look over all your assignments and make sure it meets the requirements and participation matters so be ready to talk a lot in class.
