I love this guy. I seriously walk into class everyday and want to hug him. Really, you can't help but love him. Warning: he curses a lot. haha. I'll never forget the first day of school where he announced to the class, "If you have a problem with people cursing the get the f*ck out." Cooky character. Very lovable....as well as interesting. He knows his stuff, I don't think I've ever learned so much in so little time.

Hitt is great! After he goes over a chapter, you take a quiz and you are done w/ it. I have found that note taking isn't that necessary, but reviewing terms in the chapter are. He doesn't take attenance, which has been nice a couple of times. He gives 1 group project instead of a final exam. I will DEFINITELY be taking him again!

He is hilarious! I learned a lot too. If you listen in class, and read the chapters(you can probably just study the terms) for quizes, you will do fine. We had one easy project that just required keeping up with and 2 major tests.

This class was easy as long as you did the reading Take good notes and the test will be easy. I had no problems with this course. Just do the work and you'll get an A.

John Hitt is the Bomb! i loved taking his classes! i took both 1301/1302 and i made a c in the first class, but i made a B in the second. Despite his cursing, he was funny and nice. I learned alot from him and i would take any class he teaches at NLC.

This class was so much fun! Its an easy A as long as you come to class and pay attention to the lecture material...The material taught was very boring, but he turns it around and makes learning it so much fun! I found that I would look forward to coming to class! Would def. recomend him to anybody!!

This is a great Prof. he is a genius. Even though class was not mandatory everyone still attends because he keeps you interested.

John Hitt is a funny man! His tests can be tricky at times (there are some questions that show up that aren't on the reviews); that's probably why I got a B. Still, I like his sense of humor; every day I found myself laughing!

A great prof with a wicked sense of humor. Makes sure to keep up to date on current Gov issues and brings them to class so it is not so mundane. Test are crystal clear -- Study your review. HE GIVES YOU THE QUESTIONS!!!

Hitt is the best gov professor ever! I had him first thing in he morning and it made my day better because I didnt have some boring teacher that just went on about dumb things. I'm even taking 2302 on mwf which I don't do because I want him as my teacher. He's kickass!

He's an ex-stand up comic, so he is very funny, but his humor makes what he teach crystal clear. He's very easy and a great public speaker. He's liberally bias although he once voted for George Bush Sr. Gives you a lot of personal advice about politics and life

Best teacher I have ever had! Not very many teachers can teach you and make you laugh at the same time. However if you have a problem with cussing, dont take him. He is one of the most intelligent and knowledgable people ever! I will take as many classes of his as I can.

I went into this class thinking man another boring Government class and it turned out to be the opposite the guy is hilarious and knows what he's talking about, I highly recommend this guy he knows how to keep the class awake and alert. Never know what he'll say next.

I seriously hate government and everything about it, but he made the class interesting for me and REALLY REALLY FUN! He's probably the best professor for gov out there and I would HIGHLY recommend him. He's Hilarious, very intelligent and will sometimes put you on the spot! Hitt is a great professor. The first day u might be afraid of his accent but the second day you understand him clearly. We did use the book for the reviews. Tests were very easy if you study. One article review but very simple all u have to do is stand up and talk and youll get 50 free points. His class was fun and an easy A. Take his class.

Awesome teacher, Funny, Easy

Attendance isn't mandatory because you look forward to the class. Depending on how you learn getting the book is a judgement call. I looked up the answers to the review one our before the test and scored high A's on all his tests. Makes learning about GOVT easy and most of all entertaining.

easiest class! If you go the day he reviews, he will give you the EXACT questions on the test. and if you take notes you will have all the answers to the questions he gives! plus he has a day where you come and just review with your peers and he answers questions.

Fairly good. Solid understanding of the machinery of government, but a bit rusty on his history. He's a fair teacher and grader, though, and he works to help the students through the class. He's also quite funny, so if you want a humorously good-natured professor he's a good choice.

Professor Hitt is a great professor with clear lectures and notes. Just few super easy class assignments, and four easy exams all based on book (or you can find on internet easily). His exam review before the exam makes his exam not so hard. I would definitely recommend him if you want to learn with a good grade.

I like him, because he isn't biased; he's just crazy. He tells you like it is. No attendance is required, however its better than reading the book and he let my class out early everyday. The tests are easy I've gotten A's on all of them and so are the assignments. The review sessions are VERY HELPFUL. Take his class, you won't regret it.

Professor Hitt is the most entertaining teacher I've ever had. He made class very fun. We rarely went the full 120 minutes. 4 test all with review sheets. The grade you earn is the grade you'll get, however, is is lenient to those students who really try. I had 446/500 & was going to get a B. He bumped me up the 4 pts to get an A. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

He's funny, easy going and sometimes a bit sarcastic. Only 3 assignments and 4 tests. Review sheets are long, but as long as you read your textbook and take notes, it should be easy-peasy. Probably will take another class with him. He grades quickly and keeps you updated through email and ecampus.

Awesome professor, kept lectures short and sweet but always got his point across. Very informational, dove straight into whatever chapter we were to study, stayed on topic, and even writes his notes on the board for us to copy. Exam reviews are not difficult, easy to do. Very few writing assignments but the ones given you can do in an hour or so.

There four exams. There is a 50 question review for a 50 question test.... You know the review you ace the test, plus he goes over the review in class

As long as you study you will at least end up with a B, and he's very clear in regards to what is expected as far as assignments and tests go. Personality wise he is hilarious and very laid back. Very well liked by his students. I highly recommend taking one of his courses.

Professor Hitt is a hilarious and sarcastic man. His lectures are sure to make you laugh. He cuts class pretty early from time to time and his test reviews tend to have almost exactly everything thats on the test. He doesn't make the material harder than it needs to be and he's a supper easy grader on the essays. I do plan on taking him again!

An absolutely incredible professor. Nonchalant and could not care less about what you're during class so long as it's not blatantly disrespectful (sleeping) or disruptive (talking). All he wants you to do is study and take the test. You're grade completely depends on how you do during the tests and I love that bc he gives clear testing guidelines.

Incredible and engaging professor! The 4 exams for the course end up being about 90% similar to the exam reviews he provides for you. Do the reviews based on your textbook, learn it and you will have zero problems. His lectures are filled with his personal stories which are always hilarious and relevant. I registered late for my classes.. but I luckily got Professor Hitt as my government teacher. Essays are fairly simple prompts. Tests are exactly like the reviews, straight out the textbook. I highly recommend taking this class.

Hitt just assigns 3 writing assignments, and 4 exams throughout the course. Most people I've talked to get the full credit from the writing assignment, so if you do all of that and make an 88 on each exam you'll get an A. He gives a good review (with answers if you show up to class), but sometimes reading the book would help with the exams

Dr. Hitt is a great professor! He's an intellegant man that really knows his stuff. His class is easy if you show up to each class but attendance is not required, he tells you that on the first day. Professor Hitt is a freaking savage y'all! One of the dopest teachers I've ever met! There's 4 exams and 3 writings assignments. Coolest professor you'll have!

If you do the test reviews you'll do good on the tests which are all that really matter. He's really funny, but I never went to his class and still got an A. On the two or three required papers, he doesn't grade on how you write it just the content. Such an easy class.

Just do your writing assignment, you'll get full grade. He gives you full credit for attendance without taking roll. Do what he tole you to do. Be on time on the test and prepare for it. Great professor!!!

Very funny professor! No need to get a textbook if you don't want too, he basically gives all the answers to the review in class, so it is a good idea to attend. He usually just takes up 30 minutes of class each day so you'll be out of there quick. If you study the review and do the assignments you will for sure get an A!

Probably one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are short and fun, he gives a test review and gives you the answers in class, they are word for word on the test. You can study for a half hour and get an A on every test. No online code, 3 easy Department papers, just try to answer the questions you will be fine.

I could write a book about this amazing teacher. His 2306 class is broken into four tests 100 points each, three papers 25 points and a participation grade 25 points. Amazingly, you do not have to show up to class to get A and get 25 points participation grade. Read the test review and just submit papers ( you will automatically get 75 points.)

Great sense of humor, make sure to sit as close to the front as possible so you can hear him. He has specific classes where he will literally read through the review questions and answer each question in order. Tests aren't too bad.

Professor Hits is my favorite professor at Northlake. He is so good at explaining the material during his lectures. He's funny and caring. This is an easy class. Pay attention, attend lectures, and you will pass. There's always a review before exams that is very beneficial and is pretty much like the exam.

Hes is hilarious, attendance is not required he does not care if you go or not. I only attended the first two weeks of his 16 week course and still passed with an A. Just study his review and youll be fine no attendance required. There are 3 essay assignments that are really easy. Just do as instructed and youll get an A on the essays.

Overall the class and the experience of it was great.

A funny proffesor I took 2 gov. class with him were very easy he gives you test review you woul pass his class with a minimun B+. H egives you paper work to do and always gives me a 100%. I really loved his class.

There is 3 papers you need to write 2-3 pages MLA but I believe he does completion grades on those. The quality does not really matter. Also attendance is a grade but he never took it. Lastly there is 4 exams but he gives you reviews that are very similar to them he goes over them and theyre on Quizlet. I loved this class he is hilarious!

He is THE coolest professor I have ever had. Trust me.... take his class and you are going to love it. He is funny, caring and you actually learn stuff instead of just 'learning to take the next test'.

Professor Hitt is amazing! He's one of the funniest professors I've had. He gives you 4 tests, and he reviews the questions with you, the test is almost identical to review, which is great! He really cares about government, and it shows. He is hilarious and makes government so exciting. He's really a great professor, and I would highly recommend!

His reviews are the same as his tests so just study the night before and you'll be fine. Your grade is made up of 4 tests and attendance which he takes on 5 random days. Assuming you show you up for all days on which he takes attendance, you need to get a minimum of 85 on all tests to receive an A in his class

4 Tests, 5 Discussion Boards, 3 Writing Assignments. This class is fairly easy if you show up and pay attention. All the answers to tests are on Quizlet, so I got an A for this class. You don't even need to show up to do the assignments at all. He's hilarious, and his humor tends to be dark, so beware of that.

Easiest teacher! On the test review day, he gives you all the answers so you don't need to show up or use the textbook. Easy A although I got a B. Very funny, his jokes are mature.

This man is incredible. Took him for GOVT 2301/02. Easy class with not too many assignments. Due dates are not negotiable, your papers must be on time. If you have the chance to take his class, do it. You won't regret it.

Professor Hitt is clear on expectations and sends out reminders for assignments/exams due. READ THE BOOK! I took his class online. There are discussions, a few papers, and a few exams.

Our class was moved to online due to covid, however the class was easy. All of the assignments were opened since the first day of class and the expectations and guidelines were stated very clearly. Overall, this class was very easy.

I took this class online during the summer. Very clear syllabus and easy assignments. Only 7 assignments3 discussion boards and 4 quizzes. Textbook was mandatory but the answers to all the quizzes were on quizlet.

Lectures were funny, everything was really online and tests were really easy if you study for them.

He was honest, professional, and explained topics clearly. He was completely understanding and engaging. My best summer course. I learned so much due to his lectures and allowed questions. He was so nice to all of us and had compassion for all.

I took him online for maymester. Class consisted of 3 discussion boards, 4 exams. He does not take any late work. His class is super EASY! If you don't pass it is because you didn't try. His exams are open book and answers can be found online as well. The work is not hard. It is an EASY A!! EASY GRADER!!

His class was really easy. Just use the textbook and you'll be fine. Most of the grades were chapter tests (which are open note) with a few discussion boards.

The tests are open notes so use of textbook is recommended. Really nice teacher, i had an 89 and was very surprised when he bumped me up to an A without me asking, amazing professor. An A is possible when using the textbook easy to pass

I took Prof John Hitt for Winter term. I like the way he reminds us of upcoming assignments. I enjoyed his class, his PowerPoints were very useful. BEWARE OF DUE DATES, IT ENDS 9PM NOT 11:59PM. but overall, this class was amazing!

He was a great professor! There was only one discussion board and one extra credit. there is also four unit exams which were super easy, they are open book! Read the book and you will do great!
