Mr. Hyer is a good and very easy teacher, but he tells some of the same stories over and over. Sometimes he rants, but he always gives test reviews with every question and answer.

He is very easy. His tests are just as the review sheet that is given. They are even in the same order.

mr. hyer is a great instructor. humanities can be quite dry but he does his best to make it interesting. good videos and your notes are your gordan rule! no papers to write, unless you want extra credit.

He is a very intellegent man with alot to say. He is one of the smartest men I have ever met in my life, and I feel previliged to have known him.

This instructor is one of the most helpful instructors at SPC, if you don’t do well on tests just come up and talk to him, he'll allow you to do papers and boost up your grades, all you have to do is try and you will pass this class!

If you can't get an A with Mr. Hyer you have to be a complete moron!!! Very interesting class, Mr Hyer has a lot to say and if you pay attention you will learn a lot. Extremly funny and also he's very passioned about classical music. I would recommend getting a seat in one of his classes early because they are always FULL!

He is a great teacher... although once he tends to go off track sometimes with odd/funny stories. I highly recommend Professor Hyer. I learned a lot and as long as you write a page or two in your journal and study his study guide (aka... the exact test!) you will make an A!

I have taken Hyer for all of the humanities courses and have gotten 3 VERY easy A's. He's a great guy who loves to talk. He gives you the study giude and goes over the answers. Memorize it!! Do your journal and come to class with something to do b/c it goes by very slow. Take him!!

Great teacher and excellent personality. I've taken him for 2 humantities classes and got an A both times. He makes you keep a journal that you can write about anything in and gives you the tests questions and answers word for word. Definately recommended. :o)

Mr. Hyer is awesome. I wouldn't consider him "hot" but he's a cute old man. He's a great teacher and you can tell that he enjoys the work he does. I had him for humanities 1 and had to take him again. I recommend Mr. Hyer.

Hes a laid back teacher. He doesn't like when you talk while hes talking or taking roll. Theres only three tests's that are 100 question, but the review he gives u the answers which is the test. If u study that you will do fine.

Easy teacher, just talks a lot so you will be bored, but it is a super easy A! Study the review and do your journals and you CANNOT fail!

Great teacher. Layed back and easy class. STUDY GUIDE IS THE TEST!(and in same order too) and he goes over answers the day before! I hear the other humanities teachers require you to go to museum, but not Hyer. NOT 1 REPORT the entire class! Just keep a journal write what was went over on about 1 page each day... counts as all written work!

VERY funny and nice! Easy A. Just write a lot for his journal and study the study guide he gives you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

His class is so easy. All you have to do is write a journal on his lecture each class day, and study the review sheet for the test.

He is easy, i found his lectures a bit boring, but a funny teacher. He really knows his stuff and explains it well. his test reviews are the test in a nut shell. if you fail his class you should try harder.

Easy going. Funny to listen to, if you want to take an easier humanities class then i would recommend him. Show up, study for his test( he gives you the text questions and answers) write the journals. and you will be fine

EASIEST HUMANITIES CLASS EVER! He gives you the questions and answers for the test, I recomened making flash cards of the questions and keywords to the answers because all you have to do is memorize what he gives you. I recieved a A and it was sooo easy. I hate humanities, but he made it not so bad.

Easiest A all semester. Memorize the answers he gives you for the pretests, and the tests will be easy 100's, except when he cant make his own scantrons :) The journal is pretty easy, just dont wait until the last minute to do it.

WONDERFUL PROFESSOR. HAVE HAD HIM FOR 2 CLASSES NOW AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. EXTREMELY FAIR AND HELPFUL, GIVES YOU EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED. HE'S THE BEST.

This guy is great...he's nice although sometimes boring and overbearing but this is the easiest A possible. Just write a journal for each class (regurgitate what he says) and memorize the test reviews before you take the test (in the same order and everything). Take him...seriously!

Mr. Hyer is a wonderful teacher and would highy recommend him for humanities...I love to hear him teach and lecture because if you dont understand him he will make sure you do before u leave this course. Make sure you attend and do your journal otherwise you won't get the grade youu want.

This class was a piece of cake. Attendance isn't mandatory. As long as you get your two or three journals completed and NEAT, you will definitely get an A. I took him for East-West Synthesis and Western Humanities 2 and got A's in both classes WITHOUT a textbook. Provides review that is exactly like exams. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Greatest. Highly reccomended for everyone and anyone. No stress environment. Journal and tests determines your grade. Tests can be passed by anyone who trys. He does not waste time covering every little thing in the book. Lecture are fun and interesting. Do not take his class if you want to ask questions. Just let him perform his magic.

He was great. When I first took Humanities I took it with Cory Hall and it sucked. That was the worst class I ever took. Then I took Mr. Hyer class in the fall of 08 and I actually learned a lot. He makes it very interesting. I really enjoyed myself. Complete your journal and attend the Midterm and Final Review you will do great. he does give lots

If you need to take a HUM class take Professor Hyer he's wonderful. Keep your journal up and attend the test reviews you will do fine. He's so sweet, I heard he is a good singer, but he wouldn't sing for us. :( lol

3 journals, midterm and final. gives a review for both test. questions are identical and in same order. you do not need the book. if you do not pass, lol, it is your fault. for the journals, all you do is write one page about whatever we talked about... or didn't talk about lol. u can write whatever. oh, btw, i got an A.

His class is an easy A. He almost never uses the text and the grades are just a Journal, 2 tests and a final. All you have to do is pay attention for about the first ten minutes of class and take notes on it.

This teacher is the best, a easy A and all you have to do is pay attention and take notes for your journal and you will do fine. The test he gives comes straight from his reviews, so there is no reason to fail unless you are just lazy.

He is by far the best. So funny and always has a great attitude. if you study for test youll do fine, take notes but not bullet notes, everything must be in paragraphs. Youll never regret

I really enjoyed coming into this class. All we did was watch movies about the subject and write a journal of what we learned that class. He is quite sarcastic but in a funny way. Hardly use your books. He gives the answers to the study guide which is just like the test.

He is an EASY teacher but tends to get off subject REALLY easy!!! If you are looking for an easy A take his class but if u want to learn... you might want to take another teacher. He is well informed about things but he goes off subject to much.. NICE MAN tho..

Awesome class and amazing teacher. I learned a ton from him! He will work with you if miss something and is a very bright man. He tries to give as many A's as possible and with the tests coming right from the review, there is no reason you should earn any less than an A+.

Honestly he will talk forever if he could because he knows so much. He didn't really teach based on the book. He teaches off the top of his head. Shows many videos. You have to write journal everyday. Test is right from the study guide he gives you. Funny man! EASY A!!!
