i have him right now and he is an amazing teacher. he makes sure everyone understands what is happening. the tests are good. he gives a review about what is going to be on the tests. if you go over them you should be fine. 4 tests and he lets you use a note card.

I had him for A&P lab, he helps you out on quizzes and gives you "tips" if you are confused. Hes funny, quotes lines from south park etc. He has lots of quirky sayings to remember a & p stuff. You can ask him alot of questions too and he knows whats going on! I recommend him.

Very good teacher. I loved going to his class, even though it was a 8 am one. He let the entire class re take one of the exams because the class overall did so bad and he put it online, he sometimes had extra credit. his online quizzes came straight from lecture notes and were really easy. I really enjoyed him class, he made it interesting

Upbeat prof, kept me awake in the 8am lecture. His tests were very easy and he lets you use a note card, and gives you a study guide which is basically the test. Just make sure you go to lecture, i didn't even buy the book, just print out his notes and follow along. He puts up online quizzes and gives you multiple tries. we even had an online test.

Was my A&P lab instructor. He's very helpful, upbeat, and funny. He gives you tons of tricks on how to remember things and, like Dr. Scott, uses clinical application to illustrate his points.

One of the best prof.'s I have had here at Ferris. Lets you use a note card for tests, labs are pretty cool. Great prof. strongly recommend taking him.

if you're bad a biology Johnson is the teacher to take. he lets you use notecards on exams and uses funny stories and youtube videos to keep it interesting

I loved this class. I took it over the summer and thought it was going to a super fast paced class but it wasnt. He mad the class super easy for us. He let us use note cards on the test. He used jokes to help us remember the material then put the joke on the test. I loved this class. Would definitely recommend this teacher!!!

Great teacher! He usually over takes class time to review for up coming exams. All the lecture notes are on-line and the book is not really necessary unless you want to understand a little better for yourself, but everything on the exams come from what he goes over in class. You can use a note card on the exam too!

Amazing teacher, definitely the one to take. You don't need the book because he doesn't use it. He keeps lectures from getting too boring and lets you use a notecard on the tests. He even reviews the tests for you in class to help. Even if you are bad at science, he will help!!

This teacher is awesome! There are a few at Ferris that need to learn from him!! Tells jokes to help remember material, gives you all the resources you could think of to help with studying.

He is great! He is the best teacher I've ever had! He uses media examples and puts them for test questions. Pay attention to his examples. As long as you go to class and pay attention some what, ou'll pass. His class made me decide to become a Biology Major.

reviews speak for themselves. He related everything to real world examples. I NEVER read the book and ive gotten As on every test. hes extremely nice, easily approachable. ALWAYS willing to help. TAKE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, HES A PERFECT TEACHER!

he is AMAZING. relates everything in class to movies or songs, and is not afraid to make fun of himself to help you learn. even puts clues in his quizzes. class is very easy if you go and study, but by far my favorite class EVER

Great prof. If you show up for class once a week and are able to memorize the study guides and study well for the lab quizs you'll do well. Don't study for the tests the night before though there's too much to learn IMO. But make it a week and a half advance and study it throughout the week and you'll ace 'em.

Best Professor I have had! He was extremely helpful in answering questions and making sure his students knew the criteria. Definately a teacher I would recommend to a friend!

GREAT PROFESSOR! I love him! He knows what he is doing and he show so much interest in the subject he is teaching and the students! I wish all professor is like him! However, there are no hw, but a quiz every week for lab; exams are pretty easy, just go over the given study guide on ferrisconnect then you should do well!

Great Professor that i would recommend taking. He has a great sense of humor and explains things so you can understand them. Online notes and the study guides he gives out are super helpful. I highly recommend him.

Professor was great! I ended up getting 90+ on every test and quizzes! :) If you study hard, you will do good, but you MUST study for tests and lab quizzes! :)

Probably one of the best profs I've had. I wish all my core classes were up to his level of caring/teaching. Too bad I didn't have to take more classes with him. I'd sign up for another if I did.

The best professor I've had at Ferris by far! He makes class and labs fun and really cares about his students. He is approachable, flexible, and his class is a big reason why I switched to pre med. You do have to study. Just study his study guides though and you'll get an A! I would love to take him again if I get the chance.

Fabulous professor. He explained the material concisely, in an easy to understand way. He really cares about his students and helping them succeed. Reading the textbook makes everything easier. Doing this and attending class will help you earn a fairly easy A.

I hated this stuff prior to taking this class, because it had nothing to do with my major. But I actually find it interesting now. GREAT teacher!

Clicker quizzes occur, but they are pretty easy & helpful for future exams & what not. I never even opened the book, so dont get!

One of the very best professors I've ever had here at Ferris. Lectures aren't mandatory but you get a lot out of going to them..one of the very few classes I've taken where this is true. He makes everything really clear and you can tell he loves what he does.

John Johnson is one of the greatest professors here at Ferris.He brings a lot of energy to the class room and some interesting stories. Definitely helps you out if you have him for both your lecture and your lab teacher. Class isn't mandatory but if you go you wont regret it you learn a lot.

Professor Johnson is great. As long as you actually go to class and pay somewhat attention, and do just a little bit of studying, you will pass no problem. If you need help, ASK FOR IT. He's always willing to explain things in a different way to help students understand.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Dr. Johnson is the kind of teacher that makes you not want to miss a single class. He is hilarious, making it fun to learn, but easy at the same time. I studied for tests, but not to an extreme, and aced the class. He tells you what to expect on the tests and spend the lecture before reviewing. His labs are awesome too! Loved it!

He kept the class entertaining, and gave several good ways to study, and remember the different terms that you needed too. Gives study guides and notes online, and tests are based right off of the study guides and notes.

Professor Johnson has been my favorite professor at Ferris by far. He was the lab instructor for A&P 321 and I wish he had taught the entire class. Is immensely helpful and comes up with creative, funny ways to help you remember the material. I wish he taught more classes that I could take.

Makes material very easy to understand, makes class easy as well. Just study for lab quizzes and exams and you'll be fine. Great teacher, I recommend him and would take him again for sure.

John Johnson is very easy to understand and a wonderful professor. He makes it very easy to understand while also showing extensive knowledge and intelligence along with real life experience. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there is extra credit for being there sometimes. Lab attendance is. Put in a decent amount of effort you'll do great.

Best professor i have ever had, really helped me when i was struggling. went to office hours and he sat and helped with for a good hour to prepare for an exam. Really kind and funny, truly cares about his students. Helped me so i would pass his class when i only needed a couple more points, to pass and let me retake a final.

Loved the class. Seen that I worked really hard to raise my grade and he helped me out with it seeing i needed to have a B- while I was just short by .88%. Super helpful and caring. He does have extra credit quizzes during his lectures which aren't mandatory, but you will have a quiz every lab session and study up for them or you wont do well.

This man is the GOAT. He only taught lab, but it was still great. He makes sure you understand the material and uses clever ways for you to remember the material. If you can get him for lab, DO IT.

I wasn't doing the best and I went to his office hours and he made sure that i passed with the grade that i needed. Definitely a class that you need to study for. didnt really use the book but it came in handy for some things. Glad i had it.

Best Bio professor at Ferris. Makes the class easier and gives good ideas on how to remember things. Study the exam review he gives before the exams and that is exactly the exam, you will get a B+ or higher.

The material is pretty hard but if you study the study guides he gives you, you will pass.

If you study and have any interest in bio or anatomy you will do fine. The course material is easy if you have taken bio in high school. Labs are very fun and exciting. I was in his class right before the pandemic started and he was so personable and was willing to help everyone learn at their own pace. The cadaver lab was really cool but scary.

I had Professor Johnson a few years ago, he is an amazing professor. You can tell he loves his job, his enthusiasm made learning and retaining the information so much easier. He is phenomenal at what he does and all his students are lucky to have him as a professor.

Very nice and willing to answer questions if you have them. Willing to work with you to make up tests if you are out of town or sick.

Great professor! I loved this class and he made it easy to learn. There is a lab quiz every week and five exams but if you go to lecture and pay attention you should do well, definitely study though. He made learning the material fun.

Prof. Johnson is a great teacher! Very friendly and always asks if we have questions. Literally went over our first test together and gave us study tips. There is a lot of material so he can lecture quickly, however the study guides he provides are crystal clear on what to know for the tests. He also uses funny analogies so you remember things! :-)

He is very knowledgeable and seems very passionate about what he teaches. The lab quizzes every week are typically only 15-20 questions and are easy if you study the notes from the previous lab session. Exams occur about once a month and aren't too terrible--he posts exam reviews telling you exactly what to study. All notes are posted on canvas.

John Johnson was great! Made lecture interesting, study guides are very clear and helpful, and he genuinely cares about how his students do. Lab quizzes can be difficult but other than that, if you show up and participate it is a pretty straightforward class!!

Great professor! Easy class in my opinion. Lab is basically detailed lecture so you usually leave early. The study guides are worth doing because they basically guarantee a good grade on tests

John is a great professor that I actually enjoyed having for Bio. If you had to pick him I 100000% would recommend. The way the teaches really makes you learn and understand the material without even realizing it. He is very funny, and makes class fun to come to every day.

I had him once for a different class and was very excited to taking this one, but his physiology class was unbelievably hard. He does expect you to know a lot from his lectures, and they are very information-heavy. In this course, many questions on the exam seemed to not be in the study guide or lectures, so I did not know to prepare for them.

He is probably the best teacher ever for Architectural History. He is very knowledgeable in the field of architecture and cares for his students. He is truly a good person, you will love to have him as a teacher. He also tells stories about some of the buildings he teaches about when he visited them, he is so cool! 10/10 teacher!

A&P was a hard course, but he made it really fun! Such a good professor; if you have to take BIOL109 take it with Professor Johnson! The only thing is that attendance isn't mandatory but not everything that you need for the tests is on the slideshow. Definitely go to class.

I really enjoyed him as a professor! The only complaint is there is so much to learn in such little time (but that's not his fault). For example, we would learn about the urinary system, male reproductive, and female reproductive, and we would have a quiz on it the following week. But he was a great professor, I would recommend him.

Everything is on canvas, so you'll never have to worry about missing something. If you know what is on the study guides and kahoots, you'll know everything to pass. He made learning anatomy very easy.

Very understanding guy. Exams are straight up. Make sure to study the exam reviews and Kahoot's. Lab was very enjoyable, and most quizzes were easy and straightforward. Take good notes (use colors!) and ask for help if you don't understand.

I really enjoyed this class but if you don't lock in, it won't be easy. attendance is not mandatory, but it helps a lot if you hear it from him because you are not going to study the material on your own and if you do it won't click nearly as well. I could tell he cares a lot about this subject. If you haven't had anatomy before, YOU HAVE TO STUDY.
