LOVED this guy. My favorite class to go to. I had to skip once and was very sad about it. Makes everything about psych interesting and tries to give you ways to study/remember it. Very educated on psych in general. I was able to ask lots of questions & get good answers. Only wants you to succeed in his class. I wish I could take more courses w him!
great prof! definitely one of my fav classes! like four points of extra credit for attendance sp show up. your grade will be great if you pay attention in class and USE THE REVIEWS HE POSTS!!!! they are so helpful! you can tell he really cares about his students and is very candid with us
If you are psychology major and have a passion for it, I would recommend taking this class. If you are like me and are not a psych major, have zero passion for psychology, and just need the one credit to graduate. DO NOT TAKE! Class is SO lecture heavy and you end up having to self-learn because he can't make it through a PowerPoint. Not happy.
I enjoy psychology and thought this would be a fun elective class to take. I needed an elective and thought, why not. Big mistake. Huge. He treats this class as if it's a capstone class and everyone in the class is a Psych major. His tests are intentionally tricky and his lectures are not helpful. I survived off the book. Would not recommend.
He makes the material simple to comprehend. In his lectures, he makes sure to remain engaged with the class during the entire thing. Outside reading is needed, as he will go in-depth with the material during the in class lecture. He will often encourage open dialogues, which makes the experience enjoyable/better. I have no problem taking him again.
Professor Angulo is very knowledgeable and shows a distinct passion for the source material that is evident through all of his lectures. He promotes open dialogue amongst the class and makes retaining the material that much easier through his delivery. A lot of reading is required, but he does provide study guides for his exams. Would take again.
Hes such a sweet guy. He genuinely wants the best for his students and will help anyone who is willing to go the extra mile. When we switched online because of COVID-19, I was so sad because he was so knowledgeable. He is very receptive to feedback and does his very best to improve his course. Hes an amazing professor. Take him!
How does this guy have such low ratings?? I took him about a year ago and seriously looked forward going to his class because his lectures were amazing. He does make you work for your grade but if I remember correctly, he dropped a test or two so it was like forgiveness for the first one if you didn't study.
This professor is awesome!! He rounded my C to a B, take him.
Really great at adjusting to the covid changes. He makes the grading really clear and genuinely cares about his students passing the class. Lectures can get a little lengthy but they're really all you need to get a good grade on the test. Tests are straight from the lecture and open note.
You can tell that he really cares about his students and how theyre doing in his class. Always sends out reminders about when things are due and when he posts a lecture. Exam questions are just from the lectures and he gives a lot of free points. Overall easy class professor Angulo was great!
Just do the assignments that are assigned and youll pass. I didnt watch a single lecture, but skimmed the book and got an A! Hes very considerate with students and is nice. Wish I got to take him in person!
Loved this teacher would take him again! I took this class online bc corona. He posts lectures every Monday Wednesday and then on Thursday you either had a short quiz or a minute paper which was SUPER easy. You had 5 exams and the last one was the final and its non cumulative. Easy A and amazing professor who made the lectures interesting.
I love this prof! His lectures are easy to follow and exams and assignments are easy if you pay attention! Always has office hours and is very kind. 10/10 would take again!
honestly you just gotta pay attention to pass its very self explanatory.
One of the best professors I've taken at txst! I took abnormal psychology with him and he made the class that much more interesting than the course itself. Even through taking the class online, his lectures were filled with interesting info. He's super caring and will work w you, TAKE HIM!
I really enjoyed Professors Angulos course. You definitely need to watch the lectures and read the textbook to succeed. He is super interesting to listen to. I would definitely take this class again.
Angulo is a great professor! He really likes what he does and his lectures were really interesting. I would take his class again.
Amazing professor, always kept the lectures super interesting & seemed passionate about what he is doing. Tests are pretty easy if you take notes on the lectures & pay attention, also there is little that you need to read but read what he recommends for the test.
If you are going to take pysch you HAVE TO TAKE ANGULO. I took him freshman year and could not have chosen a better professor. I was so happy to see he was also teaching lifespan development, another easy class! His lectures are all on powerpoints but they are interesting and he doesnt read off them. Tests are EASY and so are quizzes. go to class!!
10/10 recommend. Angulo has such engaging lectures and easily relates the lecture to students. Can be pretty funny too.
No class on fridays but there's an assignment. He's really funny and makes the class relatable and thought provoking. LOVES answering questions so don't be shy. Do get the textbook because it will come in handy (Many questions on quizzes/exams come straight from it). He's willing to help students, he really cares!
Professor Angulo is hands down the best teacher I've had in my entire life. He is so sweet and he gets straight to the point in his lectures. He relates everything to real life and it's very interesting! He constantly reminds everyone of due dates and events & the exams are open note! Definitely take him! I'd take this class again no doubt!
He does a really good job of teaching the material and you can tell he cares about his students. The class has a good amount of work, but none of it is very difficult.
Hes such a great professor!! The way he speaks about the lectures and is very passionate about teaching. Hes a great professor.
Reading helps but isnt required. Hes super passionate about his teachings.
Truly amazing professor, I made great grades just by showing up to class and reading the chapters. His lectures are so interesting and he is a naturally funny guy. 10/10
Overall would definitely take his class again! It would be best to read the textbook to go more in depth with the subject since we only met twice for 50 mins out of the week, he gave us Friday's to work on our exams and reflections. LOVED THIS COURSE!!
Angulo is a great professor who respects his students and knows his topic well. He is very engaging to listen to and answers questions thoroughly. Grade was made up of quizzes, a few tests, reflections, and research credits. No actual class Fridays. No midterm & final was not cumulative. Tip: find the textbook pdf online free. No complaints. 10/10!
Attendance isn't mandatory. Tests are online and open for 24 hours. Only one homework assignment a week. Super nice guy, loves questions and great lectures.
My favorite professor ever. His lectures are very entertaining as he likes to use personal examples. He also keeps the week's workload very easy, it just takes dedication to not procrastinate haha. He is very sweet and his quizzes consist of only 10 questions while exams could be 40-50. Either way, they are open notes so it makes it stress-free!
If you need to take psychology, TAKE HIM!! I wasn't looking forward to taking PSYC at all but his class made me love the topic. He's very insightful and it made me learn a lot about how to go about different life situations. Quiz OR assignment every week and exams/quizzes had to do with the lecture. The SONA assignment is super easy too.
Professor Angulo is a super cool dude, his lectures are always interesting and he tried to make learning psyc fun. He is relatable and is very open to questions. He also gives fridays off which is so nice ! Textbook is needed and can be used on quizzes and tests
by far one of my favorite classes. if you need help, he will talk to you so you can understand. never thought I would actually like a PSYCH class but this is the only class I don't get on my phone in.
He was one of my favorite professors. He lectures throughout the week, a few quizzes. Tests are open for 24 hours and they are open note. Hes very helpful when asking questions during office hours.
Great professor! He really shows in his classes that he wants his students to succeed. In this class to do good you NEED to read the textbook or you won't pass. As long as you do that this class is easy. I really liked how the tests were open note because it helped make the work load a little easier.
Professor Angulo is a great professor. I always enjoyed coming to class even at 8 am because the lectures were always so intriguing and always explained very well. I do wish he posted his power points on canvas but other than that this is an amazing class.
Super great professor, you can tell he's really passionate about what he's teaching. Very easy to engage with and makes lectures fun to attend.
One of my favorite professors ever, he will really work with your schedule and help you pass. Lectures are not boring at all if you like the material. Either weekly quizzes or reflection, quizzes are easy and reflections are basically completions graded. Exam are super easy as well if you show up and take notes. Highly recommend would take again.
He has been the best professor I have taken so far. He really is passionate about the subject and cares about your grade. Tests and quizzes were online and open note!
Angulo is a great professor! Gives lectures based on the textbook, so be ready to read to prepare for tests. He is very approachable. Always answers emails and questions. He is a great lecturer and is super engaging (even at 9 am). I really enjoyed his class.
Truly a great professor and has very interesting lectures. Take him if you can! The course consisted of 5 exams, reflections and quizzes but overall very easy to get the A.
You can tell Professor Angulo is very passionate about this course. He made it interesting and always had our attention. Usually assigns a short writing assignment or quiz at the end of the week, and gives us Fridays off to get them done!
Professor Angulo was amazing! He keeps the class engaged even in the morning which is a very difficult thing to do, and made even the mundane sound interesting. It is very obvious he is incredibly passionate about what he does, and also that he cares about the wellbeing of his students. Take him if you can!
Really easy as long as you read the textbox or attend the lectures. Final isn't cumulative and was on the last 2 chapters. Exams are really easy. Great professor and you can tell he really loves what he teaches, he tends to talk a lot so you might not get all the info in class so get textbook. My final grade was 100%.
100% recommend. You dont have to show up to lectures as long as you read textbook. A reflection paper (150 words) every week but its super easy. A couple of quizzes that are timed 15 mins but easy. And tests over every 2-3 chapters that are easy as long as you study. He talks a lot in class and makes the lecture interesting. Great professor
Loved this professor so much. He kept the class interesting and engaging, even at 9 am. Very easy course load, few quizzes and tests. You'll love him for sure if you take him!
attendance is not taken which is so nice. this class is pretty easy, would be hard to fail. honestly rarely go to class and I have an A. textbook is the only thing you need for the assignments. take him!
Loved this professor! He was nice and made his lectures interesting. The tests weren't too bad and they were open notes. There were quizzes too that were timed, but could use your notes as long as you took notes you should do good! Also had reflections to write which were about 150 words but were pretty easy as long as you answer the question.
Amazing professor he knows the subject well and makes it very interesting. He encourages students to ask questions as he is very knowledgeable about psychology and he enjoys answering questions. I really recommend the book because you can find answers to the homework and exam reviews there. He does give test reviews and they are very helpful.
Through out the course everything was great. Quiz every other Monday, writing assignments every other week as well. We used to take are tests online w/ notes but because another class cheated he took that away for all of us right before the final. He said he wasnt punishing us but changing up the way you give tests is a punishment.
If you have to take psychology, take Professor Angulo. He cares about his students and wants them to pass. It is very easy to get a good grade in this class. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is something that can help on the test. Easy assignments, there is a small writing assignment and a few quizzes. He is amazing and choose him for psychology!
I took this as a summer course and Professor Angulo made it extremely easy and fun. He does make you work for your grade, just do your work, attempt the extra credit and he will be more than happy to work with you. He also saves you money by making his text book free in an online format! I 100% would take this course again!
Super easy work and small work load. Lectures are not mandatory but you need the notes to do well on exams. Study guides are given a few days before exam and they are very helpful, but you'll need the notes to complete the guide and study further.
Powerpoint notes and lectures have good information, but they are vague and don't prepare you for tests even if you feel prepared. I learned more through reading the textbook rather than lectures. The notes basically have all the quiz answers though.
Optional attendance. Tests are in-person now, therefore the class isn't really blowoff. Good for if you're a psych major, but if you're just trying to get the credit, take someone else. I learn more from notes than from him.
he only really grades tests and doesnt give out a lot of homework.
Professor Angulo was probably one of my favorite professors. Even though the class was really hard, he made it bearable. He has amazing lectures, however you MUST read the textbook because he often sends you home to read for the exam. Since he only has a few grades for the semester, the tests are IMPORTANT. You need to study bc his exams are hard.
My favorite professor this semester. Lectures are interesting and attendance isn't mandatory but will help you understand material better. Powerpoints are more general, but the textbook gives examples if you are lost or need a refresher. Not a psych major but I absolutely love this class! Take him!!!
Prof Angulo has great lectures and keeps it interesting! The tests and quizzes are super easy when you read the textbook. Definitely dont miss any quizzes or discussions because it can really hurt your grade.
amazing lectures that were supported by reading the textbook outside of class. 6 quizzes over the semester, 5 exams with your lowest grade dropped. one term paper that was easy and fun. overall a fantastic prof who is passionate and there for his students.
The way he lectures is so good and he is very clear! He cares about his students you just have to reach out and go to office hours. Attendance is not required but his lectures are way better than reading the textbook( which you still have to do) grades are only exams quizzes and discussions
he was an amzing prof. no hw except for quick and easy discussions (i think 5?) throughout the whole semester. you do need the textbook to help prepare for test but there's a free version online. 5 tests all semester including the exam, and he creates a study guide for them to help study. super fun lectures that are easy to listen to. highly rcmnd
Prof Angelo was a great professor but the exams were kind of difficult. VERY textbook heavy, if you don't read the textbook, don't expect higher than a B. I found this class fun, but difficult. The lectures were very interesting though, and there are chapter quizzes and 5 discussions. The class averages for exams were almost always C's.
Lectures are super informative and so fun. He references everyday things and lets people ask questions. Although attendance isn't counted, if you skip to much you will fall behind. But if you show up to class its minimal effort made. He helps all his students and has office hours and is very understanding, only grades are quiz tests and discussions
Angulo is awesome, you can tell he is very passionate about the subject and actually wants his students to succeed. There is a textbook and he does put some textbook questions on the tests, however, I opened the textbook maybe twice and did well on all my tests. He reminds students when assignments are due and makes a study guide for every test.
Very passionate about the subject he's teaching. I was never bored in his class when I actually went. I skipped most of his lectures and relied solely on the textbook, but if you want an A, I recommend going to lecture
Good professors. Class is interesting and enjoyable.
I thought Professor Angulo was a very laid-back and exciting guy, I genuinely enjoyed his class and found the material to be intriguing throughout the course. Exams can be a little rough, but reading the textbook is helpful while studying for exams. He gives a study guide before each exam, very helpful but doesn't cover all of what is on each test.
I absolutely loved this professor. He gave reviews before the tests but definitely show up and take notes because the notes and reading do help more than I had thought they would. The quizzes were online and gave you 24 hours to complete them. Very caring and genuinely passionate about the topics. Amazing professor. Take him!!
Professor Angulo was a great professor who is passionate about his knowledge. His lectures are interesting, and he uses helpful examples. The only thing is his course relies heavily on exams as there are few assignments. These exams are proctored in person. With that, make sure to read through the textbook and you'll do well on exams.
Awesome guy! He takes some questions from the textbook, so definitely read up, but the book honestly isn't too bad. He's super funny and gives a ton of opportunities for students to ask questions, even if they aren't related to the current material or are really hypothetical. Very intelligent and might be the best teacher I've ever had!
Dr Juan is an amazing professor. I hate lectures but i am actually able to listen to his. The tests can be very difficult and the majority of the lecture hall always fails. you need to attend class and read the textbook. overall, this class is difficult but it is up to you if you are going to put in the work to succeed
Mr. Angulo was amazing! The content is difficult and it can seem like a lot of information but if you do the reading and actively listen during lectures, an A is definitely achievable. He does well in keeping students engaged during long lectures and gives many examples to help them understand complex topics. I 100% recommend him for PSY1300!
Juan was a super chill prof. Attendance is not mandatory and you can pass if you just read his lecture notes/ use the review before the exams. The only homework in the semester was like 3 discussion posts and he goes based off the syllabus 100%. If you need an easy A, take his class
His lectures are very interesting!! tests are pretty heavy just make sure you are reading the textbook and doing the reviews. Theres almost no HW except for a few discussions and online quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory but key to passing the class. Take him i highly recommend
one of the best professors i've had. attendance wasn't mandatory but the lectures made me want to come to class. if you have to take intro to psych, take his class 1000%.
I loved this class, he is very passionate about the course. Overall, it's an easy class to pass, no reason why you shouldn't. Major TIP: Be sure to start SONA stuff early to actually be able to do surveys (SONA is required with any 1300 course) if you wait last minute, you'll get stuck writing summaries and the surveys are so much better/easier.
Professor Angulo is a great lecturer. The lectures follow presentations from the textbook, and are excellent supplemental material! You will need to read a lot for this course, but Professor Angulo makes up for it with exams that follow the content closely. Plus, he gets grades out for tests SUPER fast!
Dr. Angulo was amazing! You can tell he is very passionate about psychology and what he is teaching. His lectures are very engaging. The tests are never cumulative and the reviews he gives are exactly what you will need on the tests! Tests are usually pretty easy too. He's a great professor and the class is great too!
Prof. Angulo is the BEST psych teacher I have ever taken. He is so knowledgeable about the subject and cares. He relates every concept to everyday life. 10/10 would take again.
He was a great professor who was very passionate about his lectures. 10/10 recommend him.
He's a great lecturer and you can tell he loves what he does. I recommend studying in advance before exams because they are closed book and on paper, easy if you show up to class and really pay attention. I really do recommend him.
Professor Angulo is by far the best professor I can say I've ever had! His lectures are super inspirational and overall he is a very educated individual. As long as you show up to class and are ready to obtain the information within the lecture, you will do just fine.
Prof Angulo grades with only one quiz, one discussion post and an exam for each unit. He is very passionate about what he teaches and could probably talk forever about Psyc. Show up to the lectures and pay attention it will help loads for the exams.
this professor was amazing, he was very engaging and made the lectures very interesting. He has alot of enthusiasm for the subject and is very concise and polite with rules.
Show up to lectures, and take good notes, stay on top of reading and you'll do fine in the class. He gives amazing study guides for the exams. His class was definitely my favorite.
Prof J.A is passionate about what he teaches. Lectures can get boring but still interesting to hear. Can be lecture-heavy. If you're worried about passing, his notes and the textbook would do you just fine. No extra credit but the hw load for his class is very light. Attendance not required, but he will give extra credit on days if you show up.
He is by far my favorite teacher, he is very passionate during lectures and he knows how to explain everything really well, sometimes it can get boring but honestly it was rarely, attendance is not required but he does give extra credit on random days, just go to his lectures and take good notes and you'll do just fine
Great professor! very informative while also being quite entertaining.
Mr. Angulo is a amazing professor, although I would have liked to do better in the class overall it was not to the fault of him. He gives amazing lectures and actually cares about the topic he teaches. Office hours was something he stressed and I was never worried about talking to him. Would 100% recommend.
He is great! I would recommend taking him again. Yes you do have to read in some places and there are questions from the book that aren't in lecture but overall, its all in lecture on slides he posts. The exams are not hard if you just study a bit. He really loves what he is teaching and is amazing.
Professor Angulo was great! Great, informative, and interesting lectures! It's very easy to do well in this class as long as you are present and engaged in lecture and take thorough notes. He is also accessible for help via office hours! The textbook is essential if you want to get high A's/100's on exams. Highly recommend him for Intro to Psych!!!
there were 4 tests and a final(not cumulative), one exam was eligible for a drop grade. Discussion posts and quizzes once a week to every other week. good professor, you can tell he really cares and I enjoyed his lectures.
Professor Angulo was the best! He is genuinely so passionate about Psychology and actively engages with the students which makes the lectures so much more enjoyable. He's very easy to reach out to for help and will take the extra time to make sure you understand what he's teaching. The tests are so easy if you do the reviews and attend lecture!
Cannot recommend him more. Great personality, lectures, and is very knowledgeable. You do need to read the book but the one we had was very easy to read. Exams are in person and not very difficult. Start the SONA project early to be able to do the surveys (super easy grade just kind of annoying).
The tests were very costly against your grade and the study guide might prepare you for 50% of the test at most. Reading the textbook is VERY important. However, he is accessible for one-on-one help outside of class and you can tell he is really passionate about the subject. I just think he would be better with a major class and not a core class.
I love Mr. Angulo's class and personality. He's very engaging and his stories reflect to the topics. The tests do progressively get more challenging. There's definitions along with application questions which is common with other classes. Participation is not needed. Complete SONA, he'll explain. But overall, Mr. Angulo is a great psychology teacher.
Great professor, but cannot respond to emails lol. Read the textbook because the study guide helps, but does not go into the deep topics, so look over slides! Test are hard and a big part of your grade, so be prepared. You got it!
Very engaging and passionate professor. The way he teaches makes me more motivated to attend class. Tests, quizzes, and discussion posts are fairly easy. Lectures and the course are interesting
Psychology isn't even my major but he made it so enjoyable it's easy to pass the tests are over the review and some terms from the book go to lectures if you want the extra credit
My favorite professor all semester. His class is lecture heavy but he's really good at them so they're always entertaining. There's online quizzes and canvas discussions every other week but they're all easy. He doesn't remind you of those deadlines. The tests are mostly easy and follow his study guide well. He sticks to a clear schedule all sem
LOVED him! The textbook was good and he lectures over it and posts slides from every lecture that come from book. All of the lectures were interesting. Online discussion posts and quizzes every 2 weeks they were easy. Gives good test reviews, easy in person tests. He's really smart and cares about what he's teaching. My favorite prof all semester.
Attendance wasn't mandatory, but I recommend going to class because his lectures are amazing. You can tell he cares about what he's teaching, and he provides more relatable examples than the textbook, in my opinion. He opens up the floor for questions and made every single lecture engaging.
As a Freshman who took this course, this is the perfect course that prepares you for what a real college class is like. If you are a psych major, or honestly someone who just has to take this class, if you are wondering what professor to choose, pick him! He is such an amazing professor and a great teacher. Very knowledgable and helpful. The goat!!
Professor Angulo was the best professor I had this semester! Lectures are based on the textbook, so make sure you read in addition to class. Grades are based on a discussion and online quiz every unit (easy), and then unit tests. Attendance is not mandatory but gives EC once in a while so GO (which isn't really hard bc he's a great lecturer)!!
He rarely posted assignments on time according to his syllabus and gave 5 exams. For a major required class I wouldn't take him again.
Great professor, attendance isn't mandatory, but it is extra credit. Tests are in person, and you do have to study, but if you study the slides/review the test will be easy. Lectures are interesting and he is very passionate about psychology. A couple of canvas discussions and quizzes (with 3 attempts) but all are easy.
Take Him!!!!!! Lectures were very interesting and engaging. He doesn't give you an A but it's very easy to get. You will have to read the textbook to get that A but it's so worth it.
He was a great professor and I enjoyed taking his intro to psyc class. His lectures are engaging and he is also funny and relatable. His slides during the lectures are based on the textbook which is nice but I would still read the textbook it helps. He does a few quizzes and discussion post (easy). He does study guides for exams which is helpful.
Such a sweet and passionate professor. I truly truly loved this class and could talk him up enough. Lecture was entertaining and you could get extra credit from attending class. 1000/10 would recommend
Get ready to read before class and be attentive in his lectures. That will lead you to an easy A.
His lectures are super interesting and he is very passionate about psychology. You can tell he cares about his students, and attending office hours after exams was very helpful. The exam reviews he hands out are very useful and similar to the tests, so make sure to complete them. Overall, the exams are easy, and the textbook isn't super important.
Professor Angulo is great - really passionate about the subject and makes the lectures engaging. The tests are challenging but doable if you stay on top of the readings and attend class. unstuck AI was a huge help for exam prep. Highly recommend taking this class!
He did an amazing job of adding a lot of additional information about what was on the slideshow he was reading off of. I suggest reading the chapters or skimming the slides before class because he will say additional information not on the slides that will be on the tests. He did random attendance check ins that were extra credit, so go to class.
He's straight to the point. All the graded assignments laid out for you. No attendance but some things said in person are on the test. Amazing study guide, long, strict test. Overall he's a stand up guy and easy to pass.
I recommend taking his class! The material is pretty easy as long as you study and attend class regularly. His lectures are always engaging and interesting. The final is not cumulative, so that is also a plus. Overall, an easy A.
He was great! He's very passionate about the subject and you can feel it! There is a LOT of reading in this class, but if you read the textbook and pay attention in his lectures, you'll pass with flying colors.
Professor Angulo is passionate and makes lectures engaging and easy to follow. His slides align with the book, so reading isn't always necessary. There are four exams (one dropped) shift from multiple choice to written questions, quizzes with multiple tries, and study guides. He's understanding, accessible, and one of the best professors I've had!
Great prof for Intro to Psych. Lectures are easy to understand and very similar to the textbook so reading isn't needed. Attendance isn't mandatory but takes 5 random attendance days. Tests are easy when you study, taken right from lecture concepts. Answers questions helpfully. Would definitely take him again.
clear communication skills, slides have everything on the test, units are clearly organized and have an extremely manageable amount of info/work in them, id recommend reading the textbook along with slides to get a better grasp on the info, plus the textbook is genuinely interesting, he kinda yells in lecture for emphasis but ur not required to go!
love this professor!! he makes lectures so interesting and gives really good examples. attendance isn't mandatory but he does offer extra credit for attendance and he usually takes it the day after an exam. but class is really easy, i didn't use the textbook at all and still did good, def rec him!!!
Mr. Angulo was so passionate about the subject, which was clear with his anecdotal lecture style. He always made the lecture topics so fun! 4 tests (drops one) + 1 non-cumulative, required final. The last 2 tests are all short-answer (slowly adds more short-answer questions as class progresses), but provides all short-answer questions beforehand.
Professor Angulo is one of my top 3 favorite professors during my time at Texas State. Read the textbook, show up for class, and communicate with him. Extra credit given for attendance throughout the semester. His passion and teaching methods are amazing. Exams, quizzes and discussions are tough but he gives everything you need to succeed.
Great professor with great lectures and a great personality.
His lectures are fascinating and very engaging. If want to have fun while learning psychology take his classes. His exams are in person but as long as you do the study guide and listen in class you will do great. He is one of the best psychology professors and i HIGHLY recommend.
Attendance is an extra credit, but never announces when he will take it. Readings are generally not difficult and his lectures are open and engaging, he is very open-minded and relatable. He is funny and always present, would absolutely recommend.
I took Dr. Angulo's class my first semester in college, and he is such an amazing professor! He explains concepts very well and I've never had any trouble with assignments in his class. Whether your a psych major or not, you will leave his class learning something new every lecture that will help you in your day to day life. 1000/10 professor!!!
I loved professor Angulo. Attendance isn't mandatory for this class, but if you do attend it is basically a guaranteed pass because the info that are on the test are outlined in lecture. His lecture are engaging and it's extra credit if you show up.
Professor Angulo explains the material well and during exams he's open to rephrasing questions you may not understand without judgement. He says the first exam will always be your worst grade which was true for me but he drops your lowest exam grade. You Just have to put in the work to do good during exams. There were 2 extra credit opportunities.
I feel as though I've certainly learned things I didn't know before and wasn't overwhelmed with work. Even though the lecture was at 9 a.m., I made a point to show up since lectures were engaging and fun. Slides are posted on Canvas, but he helps make the ideas stick in person. Made a point to foster engagement and discussion in the lecture hall.
Really cool guy and super personable. Super passionate about psychology. Lectures are super engaging, and he explains things very well. Very accessible outside of class and will do as much as he can to help you. My only advice is that if you are forgetful, PLS pay attention to when the quizzes are open cuz I almost failed from missing too many.
Professor Angulo was a very engaging professor. He was evidently very knowledgeable on the subject he was teaching. The class itself was not very difficult. All the assignment instructions were very clear and it did not take much effort to pass with class with an A. My only advice is to spend extra time studying for the exams.
Professor Angulo was great. I thought his lectures were interesting. He engages with the whole class and gives real life examples based on lecture objectives. Just study well and know the material for the test and you should be fine. Make sure you do SONA credits or it'll hurt you at the end of the semester. I would take him again.
Great prof! Do the SONA or else your grade will go from a B to a C like me.
