This guy was a great professor. He has a dry sense of humor, and if you are interested in the subject, you will like the class. If you are in college to get something out of it, he is definately a great prof to take!

Boring, all lecture, but easy class and great guy.

Great Professor! It's necessary to show up for class though, cuz everything on exams was in his lectures... if you pay attention. I didn't read a thing the entire semester and still got an A.

I learned a lot. We have a saying in the school that if we get A in his class, then you will easily pass all the tough courses in st cloud. He is old, but his teachings are great. If you are a serious student really into US politics, take class with him.

He is a very good teacher. He knows what he is talking about. If you go to class, take notes and read you will do just fine. There are a lot of tests in this class. He is easy to talk to when you need help.

Overall, he is a nice professor, just not the most interesting class-all lectures and 4 tests. Majority of questions are from lectures, so you have to attend class. If you study a lot and at least go over the main ideas in the book, u should pass.

Vietnam era class is difficult, but among the best classes I've taken. I learned a lot, take his classes if you're not afraid of a little hard work.

Very nice guy and he's always there to help if you ask him. Tests are hard but if you go to class then your guaranteed a C.

Come to class and study for tests since that is all the class was was tests and attendance.

Just show up to class and take good notes. Study all your notes and the assigned chapters for the tests and you will do well. Very nice guy! When he jokes around it is funny. I would recommen him to anyone!!!

Interesting class, very good teacher, knows what he is talking about and knows the class is boring and tries once in awhile to make it fun. 4 80 question multiple choice tests and thats it. Sometimes lets you use notes on the test. Show up and listen and you will do fine, he's always able to help

Lecture class, boring to most but i found it interesting. Tests are 80 questions and he only allows 45 minutes to do them (he shows up 3 min late and is always in a hurry to leave). I always finished, but slower readers had trouble. Even if you do attend class and study, tests are very difficult.

Teaches good, but when it comes to tests he is just way to hard. Sometimes he will teach for half a class show a video and have 80 questions on it. It's impossible. If you want to get at least a B get a different prof. He is there only for the pay check. He doesn't care about curving.

I don't know what these people are talking about! You don't have to read the book, he gives notes straight from the book. Everything on the test, is in the notes. Very nice man! He knows material is dry, so he makes jokes that are so dumb, they're actually funny.

I found him to be an excellent teacher. I had him for a summer course. He favors summer students. He let us use notes on all of our tests and even dropped a test 'cuz we were short on time. He wouldn't have if it were during a fall/spring semester. He thinks that the students who students who go in summer are more willing to learn. Tip: Go in summ

I really liked this class. I thought that his lectures were entertaining because he often uses past experiences to explain or elaborate on a topic. Test are really hard but if you are in class taking notes you'll be ok

Lectures were very clear and extremly easy to take good notes!!! If you don't go to class it could be a difficult course, but theres no homework. 3 exam scores for the grade.

I've had Kilkelly for 2 classes, 316 and 411. If you are a freshman slacker, don't take him. If you want a good prof you can learn from, who will challenge you, take him. Kilkelly is the kind of serious prof you'll find at more accredited schools. Very knowledgeable, dry sense of humor, of the liberal persuasion. Great guy, better prof!

He is a typical Professor, go ahead and miss the classes, nothing's going to happen but it will surely reflect on the exam. He will have you on your knees with his 80 multiple choice questions..Its a big challenge to take his class, but overall its worth it.

His tests are hard, but he is very very knowledgable on what he teaches. He has great understanding of the theory behind political science, and it was an interesting class. Those who complained either didn't attend class, or just didn't try. Hard, but definitely not impossible if you cared and wanted to learn!

Very interesting and intelligent guy funny in a low key kind of way. The test are a little difficult, but by no means impossible to do well in. Gets a bad rap.

A lot of reading and must take good notes. Lectures are clear and at a rate that allows you to keep up. Was hard to get a hold of outside of class but he did take time in class to ask if there were any questions. If you're willing to put in some work and actually do some of that learning stuff, you'll get a good grade. Not a class for slackers.

We started off with a large class and after the first test I would say a little over 3/4 dropped it because he does actually test you on the readings he assigns. It was nice to have a prof who actually had us use the texts they assigned us. Good class if you are willing to put in the effort!

Great Professor. Explains everything very well. The entire class was based on 3 80 point tests and a 40 question all extra credit final. Easy A if you show up and take notes.

Kilkelly is a really cool teacher. He knows his stuff and he'll make sure you get the picture too. Class attendance isn't mandatory although, being in class lectures helps you quite a bit if you're a newcomer in politics.

Nice guy. Tests are somewhat hard. Take notes on the lecture and read the chapters and you should be good. The only problem I had was that when he cancels class he will not e mail you. Usually he will tell you ahead of time when he wont be there though.

This teacher fun. He jokes around but at the same time he is very professional. He tells it like it is. He is very smart, he knows his material well. He cancels class a lot but if class isn't canceled I highly recommend attending. If you know his lectures and read the book you'll get an A. I RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR!
