Great professor! Use the book some, but might be able to do without. Easy A or B at lowest. If you ask questions, he will help a lot.

Tests are easy, but avoid if you're like me and don't like doing long, detailed, typical business school group presentations. This whole class is about coming up with a business (I'm so tired of this), developing a business plan and giving a 20 minute speech with Q&A.

No hw, 2 tests, 1 paper. You don't have a lot of outside work. You go to class, negotiate with another person (which isn't that bad) and leave. If you're scared on confrontation you can still take this class, it doesn't matter how bad you are. You'll get an A or B. Top half of the class gets A's.

I loved professor Kirn's class. Very interacting classroom setting, and he always bring real life example to class. The class project was the best project I have done in college and I learned more than any of my class by doing the project with my team.

AMAZING professor. Exams are easy and the project is fun and he grades them very easily. He teaches a lot more than just powerpoint slides and has a lot of background experience to help you understand the material. He also brings in a lot of guest speakers that have experience on the topic we are studying.

This class is awesome and mostly because Mr. Kirn is awesome. Most of your grade is based off the cases you do in class, so don't skip. 2 tests total, altered grading scale (92-100 A). Real world applicability, if I was to suggest one class you're better off in life having taken, it's this one. Nothing else even comes close.

Krin is a great professor but can get off track with his lectures sometimes. Class isn't the most interesting and it's easy to want to get on your computer or phone, but the material is directly related to the exam. He drops your lowest exam so if you try hard on the first few, you may be able to skip the final.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Professor Kirn. If I could take him every semester, I would be the happiest person alive. He's so amazing. Exams are easy and he will help you with anything you need help on things like class work or even resumes. REALLY chill professor.

John Kirn is a great Professor. He cares about his students, he grades fair, and what you learn in his class if very beneficial. He gives great advice and has a lot of work experience to back it up. Show up to class and do the assignments and it should be an easy A

Kirn is a super good guy. Tries to actually make lectures interesting. This class isn't tough at all by any means. I studied the day before every test and made an A in the class.

Lots of homework for this class but it's all online and you can basically find all the answers on quizlets. PK is an awesome dude and truly wants best for everyone. Tests are pretty easy, you just have to come to class to get the notes.

He is beyond kind. He truly cares about all his students and wants everyone to past. He also drops the lowest test grade so if your happy with your grade, you dont need to take the final.

I like the way he gives the lectures as it makes the students understand easily. This subject does have 4 exams including finals but if you do well in the first 3 exams, you can choose to drop the final exam. This class is more to quizzes, connect assignments as well as the reading. There is no group assignments and individual assignments.

Professor Kirn is one of the nicest professors I've ever had at UK. He genuinely cares about all of his students, even though he teaches big lectures. He keeps lectures interesting & attendance is only required at the end of the year. The homework helps a lot on exams & is pretty easy. But PK really makes the class as good as it is!

PK (as he's called) is one of the greatest profs in Gatton CoB. He's extremely intelligent but explains everything on the simplest level. Unless there's an attendance quiz you can skip & still pass. Homeworks were kind of frequent, but super easy & mostly graded for completion- textbook is online & part of tuition. I would take anything PK teaches!

Professor Kirn's lectures can be very boring, but this was definitely an easy class! He allows you to either not take the final or replace your lowest test grade with the final grade. He does take attendance towards the end of the semester, so I would advise going to class. Overall, it was a very easy class!

Prof Kirns is the best. He makes lectures personal, funny, and as interesting as he can. He's extremely caring and wants everyone to do well. Attendance is only taken 10 random times throughout the semester. Tests are easy if you do the homework and just follow along. Nothing too strenuous

Professor Kirn is a nice guy and good teacher. His test were easy and the group project was actually enjoable compared to other projects in other classes. Sometimes he is a little unorganized about when things are due or what is expected on the project. Definitely recommend.

He is very knowledgeable about how the various topics are actually applied in the real world which really makes concepts easier to understand. Exams are super easy and he gives you plenty of resources to prepare.

He's very clear about the topics and makes sure we understand. For COVID era, lectures are given through videos and some of them will have a question you have to answer for credit. Tests are super easy, basically watch the videos and remember vocabulary and you will do well.

Great professor, learned a LOT and it was pretty easy. He finds great ways to apply material to your everyday life and even teaches you how to use it in everyday life. He is very entertaining and great at explaining things. He loves the area of study and has tons of experience in it. He gives great career advice and is a great guy in general.

PK is very fun and loves his job. His class is the usual, regarding difficulty, but I am sure it is easier in person instead of online. He drops a lot of assignment grades at the end of the semester, including one of the exam grades. 4 exams, a chapter every week, and chapter quizzes every two chapters. You have to try to do bad in this class.

The class is very easy if you just do the assigned work and just look over some definitions before the exam. Very caring and making the lectures a little more interesting because of his personality. Highly recommend to anyone.

Best remote learning professor I've had. The class format was easy to understand and the homework was pretty simple. The tests were a bit challenging and do require some studying but nothing too difficult if you put in a basic amount of work.

Most of the content was common sense so it was pretty easy. He drops a lot of your lowest scores and even an exam, so it is easy to pass. He talks a lot but not all of it is important on the exams.

Kirn is a very great lecturer with lots of stories. You will know every career change of all his children (including his new ones), but also know the basics of management. I would not say you have to go to every class, but he did give random attendance quizzes. Would take him again.

I absolutely loved Professor Kirn! He really wants to see you succeed. In class, he tries to connect his real work experience to the content. You need to show up to class because he does surprise attendance points. He will also drop a few of your lowest grades to give you a boost. Before each exam, he provides tips on what you should study.

Dr. Kirn is a well-spoken and engaging lecturer for MGT 301. I took his online course, and it was really well organized on Canvas. He involves his family, Disney, and the Bengals in his lectures, so dont expect it to just be long boring lectures. He also drops your lowest homework, quiz, and exam grades. Just do the work and youll get an A.

Kirn is a great guy who cares about his students and has very practical experience he applies to the classroom. The reason he gets a 4 is because his lectures reiterate what is in the reading, and sometimes can be boring. He sometimes can ramble on, however the class is easy and it is what you make of it, and has a lot of real world applications.

Most of the classes are negotiations where your team goes outside the class to negotiate so it makes the class go by a lot quicker and is more interesting. The course is an easy A but you do have to show up considering the in-class negotiations.

I learned so much from this class and I took it as an elective. He gives amazing lectures for real world situations. Best MGt teacher but you do need to pay attention in class. If you take notes and study them for the class you will get an A. He drops the lowest exam 2 quizzes 2 HW and a lot more.

Took his online management class and it was really easy. As long as you keep up with all the lecture videos each week you will definitely learn the material and do fine on the tests. Guy seems super fun and I would have loved to take his class in person if I had the chance

My favorite professor at UK so far! I was never bored when attending lectures. He takes attendance checks once a week and there's quite a bit of homework but it is not a burden at all. You can tell he cares about his students.

PK is an amazing professor. He holds you accountable to learn, but does this in an engaging way by sharing personal experiences and being relatable. One of my favorite at UK. He is such a stand up guy and tries to connect lectures to real life. I was going through a tough time and he allowed me to switch from his in person class to fully online with basically no questions asked. I am normally an A student and found his class very easy to get an A/B, everyone needs to experience professor Kirn.

Amazing human being and professor. Theres a couple assignments a week but they dont take too long or much thought process. Takes random attendance but need to be in class for notes and important info, if you go he will literally say "know this for the test" so as long as you sit down and study what he tells you to its really not bad.

PK is great. He takes a boring course and makes it a little more fun. He tells stories to make content relatable, and he engages a 400+ person lecture. IMO, a lot of the material is common sense and is pretty simple. He drops several quizzes, attendance grades, and one of the exams. Great course that is made better by PK, absolutely no complaints.

The guy loves to tell stories but can sometimes get a little off track. Don't fall behind because the material is presented quickly throughout the semester. If you do well on the first three exams the final is optional. Come to class because the best study guides are the notes you go over during class. You can tell he cares about his students.

I never thought I would care about management, but I've come to love it because of Professor Kirn. He is very approachable and makes the class as interesting as possible. He relates a lot of material to personal experiences, is very knowledgeable about the material he teaches. I would recommend him and this course for any major.

Absolutely inspirational and a great guy. Decently easy tests and homework if you commit yourself. Will absolutely take him again if I get the chance!

I absolutely love PK! I ended up adding management as a double major after being in his class. I would take him for ever class I could in the future. The class are test heavy, but if you study the material you can easily get the scores you need to get an A.

the class wasn't too hard in my opinion, you just need to put the time and effort for it, he does drop your lowest exam score and some of the home works, quizzes, and attendance. he engages a lot with his students and is super nice. the class is VERY EXAM HEAVY like 75%,so make sure to study. he does provides a lot of material to prep for the exam!

The tests are harder than the homework and the quizzes but they are easy if you study for them. He is able to make boring content more engaging and enjoyable. He is really nice. Really nice guy. Kind of boring concept if you aren't interested in MGT, but he makes it fun. Takes attendance one out of the two class days of the week, so sometimes you can guess when he will or won't. There is a textbook, but you can get bye without it.

His class was good and organized. There are 3 exams and an optional final that are worth 75% of your grade. There are many little assignments, however, those don't weigh enough to change your grade. Depending on how you do on the first exam, will almost have you set for what you will get in the course. Unless you do much better on the rest of them.

This class is on the easier side. However for more complicated topics, he does a really great job of breaking the content down. I will say there are a lot of assignments due each week, but they don't necessarily take too long to complete. Exams aren't too bad. Do the practice problems to study because the questions are similar to the exam.
