I absolutely love the way he teaches. He is an interesting person. Kind of clumsy, but that's what keeps his class entertaining. He lets me eat muffins in class. He makes math a little bit more interesting. I sometimes get entertained learning about math in this class.
A clumsy, but good teacher who knows his stuff. He can keep his student entertained and attentive, although his teaching style is not that great you can still learn a lot from what he teaches. the homework and quizzes that he assign are strangely very difficult compare to his lecture, but besides that he was an awesome teacher
New to teaching high level math so it's a bit unclear when he teaches, but a great guy. Teaches a bit to much from the book, but a great guy that is quiet funny.
Pretty funny guy in an awkward way. Tests are quite difficult and can surprise you. Study guides generally don't give a good idea of what will be on the test. We have taken three exams and the averages were 62,65, & 68 percent meaning the average student gets a D. He will will answer questions gracefully. Not terribly excited about this teacher.
He rushes through all the lessons and asks for questions without the intent of answering them. He teaches new lessons that aren't on the upcoming tests before going over material on the tests. He goes over practice tests in 20 minutes and the actual tests are on steroids. He teaches the simple stuff, makes it 30 times harder on the tests.
Great at explaining and uses funny examples. Homework is layed out in an organized schedule. Tests were not too bad quizzes very easy! Great math teacher!
He has very high standards and I didn't think he teaches clearly. Myb bc he's still new but still very difficult class. His exam samplers are worthless, since he expects you to knw wht may not be on the test. I though the practice exam is suppose to help you by giving u examples of wht to expect, his are not designed for that.
John knows his material very well and is very willing to help his students understand too. He's a bit awkward, but kind of adorable. I found his morning classes can be very boring. He provides a lot of examples when teaching. If you do all of the homework and take notes the tests are very easy and grading is very fair. He also allows makeup work
I really enjoyed his class. He is a very good teacher and he tries really hard to help as much as he can. He let me reschedule an exam which was very helpful. He sends out a lot of emails and uses the student portal a lot. I would definitely take another class he teaches!
This is not an easy A. You have to work hard and not miss any days in order to make it through. Mr. Kwon was always helpful and willing to help you understand. His tests were ok. You had to study the practice sheets closely.
Wouldn't recommend him.
Very hard working teacher who cares about teaching well. A great choice
Clear directions. Helpful. Tests are hard but that's to be expected from a course such as this. Tries very hard to ensure that everyone understands the materials. I'd definitely recommend him or take another course with him.
This class is really well laid out and organized all the homework is laid out at the beginning of the semester and John is super funny! I loved this class and would recommend it to anyone. There are four tests and quizzes every week that are really helpful. He is clear what is going to be on the tests and very helpful.
Honestly I loved math before I took this class. I am not the biggest fan of his teaching style and he is not very prepared. There are some days where he would leave class because he forgot his notes and it is not good. The notes are very disorganized and they are more like one on one problem notes. Not meant for teaching a lecture. Don't suggest.
Kwon is overall a good teacher. He is 100% consistent and prepared for everything! Tests (2part: no calculatorcalculator) can be unpredictable and on the difficult side... His class isn't exactly easy, but it's doable. Lectures aren't super interesting, but it is a math lecture. Don't miss too many classes. He will prepare you well so take him!
I took this class twice and it wasn't because he was a bad teacher. Unfortunately, I ended up missing class therefor lead to my horrible grade. The second time I took this class I ended with a B. Shows you that Mr. Kwon's teaching methods and lectures are not boring nor useless. If you pay attention and study, you'll pass this class.
He gives homework every week. there's four exams and a quiz here and there. he's funny and is pretty good at explaining things. I Would Recommend Him.
Excellent teacher, well prepared, very clear in explaining and will not give homework on assignment not covered in class. As long as you show up, take notes, study and do all homework you be just fine! He is responsive to emails, funny man, and takes his teaching and concerns for your success very serious.
his enthusiasm for math is wonderful!!! very clear lectures- uses different color pens (which is oh so helpful) and very well organized. He has good pacing and expects a lot from the students but is very helpful and wants everyone to succeed. Homework amount is fair, grading is fair, and tests are challenging but not vindictive.
I took trigonometry in high school, so this class was relatively easy for me. However, I realized that if I was new to trig, the class would've been super unclear and confusing. Kwon is not the best professor; he's nice enough and he's pretty fair with gradinghomeworktests, but he doesn't explain things very well at all.
This teacher seems very passive to his students, always unsure about the information he teaches. Assigns homework but then changes the homework assignment a few days before it is due. This teacher doesn't believe in using or teaching formulas. This teacher does example problems on the overhead, but never once touches on the book and the rules
Kwon had a difficult time teaching differential equations this semester. He is not a warm-and-fuzzy kind of teacher. Do not expect much help from him in office hours. In fact, do not expect much help from him in lecture either. He paces himself way too quickly and glosses over a lot of material. Difficult class, made harder by his teaching.
Professor Kwon was a great educational resource for me. My Math was rusty from being out of school for years. He assigns regular homework and checksreturns it quickly, so you know exactly what you need to work on. His lectures are quite clear and he really breaks down the subject matter. The guy knows his math and he passes his knowledge on well.
I had a really good time this semester in Mr. Kwon's class and I would definitely take him again (I probably will end up taking him again). Mr. Kwon was offputting at first because of his seriousness, but he is extremely passionate about the material and it shows. Ask him questions, he will answer. Office, email, it's all there for you.
I had John Kwon for Math 1C and 2 and I thought he was a great teacher. He really enjoys and understands math and he tries to get his students to feel the same way. His tests aren't terribly hard and are similar to the homework, so if you do the homework you'll do fine.
Had him for the second half of my summer class. Really funny, very clear. Will explain things multiple times in different ways to make sure everyone understands. Does not allow use of calculator on all parts of his exams which means you need to really know the material. Would take another class with him.
He made math very confusing for me. When there was something I understood previously, he made it more confusing for me. He goes way into depth about a problem that won't even be on the tests. His tests are hard and sometimes he wants a problem done his way even if you have an easier way. It's math for dummies in my honest opinion.
Jon was a cute lil guy. Usually had a little joke in his math lectures. He lectures the whole class and if you ask questions he will explain it. Very clear on what he wants and most of the stuff he lectures is on the test or on in class assignments. Responds to emails quick. He takes roll the first couple of weeks then forgets by the end.
Really nice and friendly teacher!
He has never tough this class before and reads straight from the book, making class a joke, there's no point to attending, because you spend hours teaching yourself the homework. Test are nothing like the homework and he takes attendance at the end. Ask him a question and he'll confuse you more. Won't recommend this teacher if you want to pass.
John teaches straight from the book, which is difficult to understand. His tests are are split in two parts, calculator and non-calculator. Be sure to have him teach you how to do problems by hand, so you can pass the non-calculator portion. I have a B and I'm still struggling in this class. I would only take this class if you are good at math.
Actually the best math teacher I have ever had. I took this class during the summer. Math 151 combines most of 150A and 150B and in this summer term we not only doubled up but we did it in only eight weeks. I am not a strong math student but Professor Kwon got through to me. He is absolutely hilarious (in a dry dead-pan sort of way.
I took John's math 151 over the summer. John was an awesome instructor. If you participate in class, do your homework and give it 100% you will be successful in his class. There was a lot of homework, but it was as summer course so that is to be expected. John really wants his students to be successful. I HIGHLY recommend taking his class!
Awesome instructor I highly recommend taking his courses!! I too him over summer with reluctance because it was going to be such a fast paced class, but he made it possible. He really knows what he is doing and he grades fair. Take him if you have the chance. I think his rating review should be closer to 5.
Best math teacher I have ever had. If you want to learn math take this guy. If you want an old school professor who is picky for all the wrong BS reasons take Martin. Martin gets all the ratings but it's just because he's easy. Kwon is hands down a better educator and the most conscientious and fair professor I have ever met.
John is very nice, but as someone who has a REALLY hard time with math I had a really hard time in his class even with a tutor. His lectures go by really fast, meaning he talks pretty fast and doesn't really take a whole lot of time to elabroate even when asked to. His tests, which there were 4 of for my class, were pretty hard.
John is an intense teacher to take, even in a full length semester. He doesn't really elaborate well when asked to clarify. If you are good at math, he's an amazing instructor. He's extremely clear on what he expects of you. Doesn't take late homework, has 4 exams, a few in class assignments and quizzes. Advance notice (1 week) for quizzes/exams.
John Kwon is a good teacher, he knows the material and explains it clearly. He is also very enthusiastic and energetic while teaching, and most of the time he is pretty funny.
Super awesome teacher. Quizzes and In Class Assignments are easy. Would recommend studying for Exams. Easy class and really good at explaining the problems. Would recommend him for math.
John clearly knows what he's talking about, bUT as someone who really struggles with math in general and has dyslexia I had a really hard time following him. He went way too fast for me, and even when I would ask for clarification or for him to slow down he would still go too fast.
I took Kwon two semesters in a row and he is my favorite math teacher I've had. I've always thought I wasn't good at math but received A's in both of his classes, and actually felt like I understood the material. He tells you exactly what you need to do to succeed so just pay attention and you'll pass!!
He is an amazing teacher! He makes sure that you understand the material and even makes time for some jokes. He gives daily reviews at the beginning of class(really easy) and his exams are based on what you learned so don't worry too much. I would recommend him 110% he is great!
Great professor
Very good teacher! He uses his lecture time very well. He is super organized and precise. He cares about his students, but at the same time understands it is your grade and if you do not want to learn, that's your own choice. I would take him for every math class. His sense of humor is funny in an awkward way! Great guy!!
3rd time taking a class by John, he's great. Tells you exactly what you need to do in order to do well, and doesn't waste time. My only issue was the JC suggested he increase the difficulty to prep students for higher classes (no notecards). I took trig for trade school tho, so all the extra difficulty "gave me" was a strong aversion to trig.
Would not recommend Mr. Kwon for someone who struggles with math.
I actually like math but I do not like his teaching style at all. We never review homework, he rushes through his lectures and doesnt clearly explain many topics, and he assumes the class knows a lot that I didnt encounter in the previous math courses. Also the strictest teacher Ive met in regards to attendance.
Professor Kwon is okay. If you struggle with math, I do not recommend him. His class is challenging since he has very high expectations. He does offer 2% extra credit for each of his exams and the study guides can be helpful.
He is okay. If you struggle with math look for a different professor. He explains concepts way too fast. Not the worst but definitely not great. I think if he worked on his communication skills he would be a lot better. Also seek outside help for his class, or you most likely won't make it.
Kwon is a really nice quirky guy, but the problem is he isn't the best teacher. He rushes through the material, doesn't fully explain concepts, and also doesn't go over homework questions. He is a great person and he made me laugh throughout the semester, but wouldn't recommend him if you struggle with math.
Mr Kwon is a nice guy but not a great teacher. He never reviews homework, and he assigns a lot of it. He moves quickly through the material and expects us to be able to figure out a lot along the way. Hes organized which is helpful but thats his only positive aspect.
Jon is very organized and straight forward with what will be graded, how many points it will be, and by what criteria. His lectures are very structured and he will expect you to know concepts from earlier classes. this is the closest to a "just apply yourself" class Ive every had.
Professor is really organized, respectful and has solid knowledge of class material. His lectures, homework, and quizes are all consistent with material on tests. His grading is as directed on syllabus so don't expect any make up assignments or him to listen to excuses. So, if you're looking for a knowledgeable and organized instructor, get him.
Professor Kwon has high expectations for his students. If you're already struggling with math, don't take his class. He expects you to be proficient/above average in terms of mathematical knowledge. If you do not meet those standards, you will be ripped to shreds. Other than that he's very organized and has clear grading criteria.
John Kwon is single-handedly the best math teacher I have had. I have always been someone who has struggled with math, and he is the most direct and clear teacher I have had. He is clear and concise about grading, has great lecture notes, and gives weekly homework that is not too much but is a good amount. I would highly recommend him for all.
He is the best and really funny. Homework is due every Monday but gives you a lot of time to do it. I had a four day a week class and it was good. He helps you if needed and grades easy. Overall he is the best math teacher.
John is clear in his lectures, but this is still it difficult class. He puts notes online which helps. If you really struggle with math, I would recommend looking for a different teacher. Kind and funny guy though.
I hadn't taken a math class in two years, and it's an Easy A! He gives you 4 exams and then a final, practice problems for extra credit before hand, and you take some in class quizzes with your friends. Very Note heavy and friendly, posts all notes online so easy to access if you're absent. Is very funny and caring, gave out chocolate for the final
Should have a higher rating. Extremely organized and clear notes/lectures though the two semesters Ive taken him make him by far a better choice than others. Allows 1 side of index card for 3 exams. 1 side of page for final. Pleasant, humorous, and focused. Very fair and makes appropriate adjustments to timelines, etc. for student benefit. My fav!
John truly deserves a higher rating! I'm so bad at math that it's sad. John makes learning the material super easy. He makes his lectures accessible online which helps a lot when studying for exams, as well as his study guides. He wants you to pass and makes that clear; very helpful, very sweet man. Shoutout to Kwon for caring about his students!!
Grade is based on weekly homework (2-3 Hours), weekly Quizz/In class Group Work, 3 exams, and the final. No surprises on the tests as he does examples of everything in his lectures. Lectures may be somewhat boring, but if you pay attention, actually do the homework (not copy off Slader) there's no reason not to get the grade you deserve.
The class I was in met from Mon-Thu so HW was only due on Mondays 4 Exams along with extra credit 4 quizzes NOT a tough grader In one case most of the class failed an exam so he created a re-do exam assignment where you take the exam home, fix some problem and turn it in to get a better grade Great lectures I never looked at the book, only for HW
I had a really tough time with this guy. Seems like a cool dude but as a teacher... ehhh..
Lectures may be long and classes may be fast paced, but if you can keep up with the homework and notes, you'll find that the tests are a breeze. What I like the most about this instructor is that he is clear about what he expects unlike other professors that surprise you on exams and other assessments. Would take for any high level math class.
Fast, informative lectures. Never have to read out of book, always willing to answer questions during class/office hour/email. Posts notes on Canvas so not the end of the world if you miss class. Very organized and clear, prepares well for tests. If you pay attention, do the work, and study you'll get an A
Kwon is not forgiving in terms of missing class or assignments. Given the current closures and forced online learning, Kwon did not take effort in helping his students pass. He remained to push through the course material at the same rate and gave exceptionally hard tests. The final exam was arguably the most challenging math exam I have ever taken
I have taken Prof. Kwon before and it was exactly as I had expected. He clearly goes through the material and tries to make sure everyone is sure of what is expected of them and what is due when. Post pandemic he did YouTube lectures and posted his lecture notes online for us to access.
Had him for 1C as well and I have to say that he really cares about his students. The tests are fair in person but online, they were really hard (thankfully, he curved). Lectures in person were amazing but online they were a drag. But, he is a good teacher and wants you to succeed. Def. one of my favorite math professors at the JC!
I had him online during Covid 19 and honestly I had an amazing experience. He is very meticulous and thorough in his lectures so if you are bad at calc don't worry. He will explain everything. Also, since his class was in video format, you can just use the 2x speed setting to speed up any slow bits in the lectures. Tests are fair.
Prof. Kwon expects you to know materials from past math classes. I haven't taken math is 5 years so it was difficult. SO MUCH HOMEWORK! At least 50 questions, sometimes over 80! I ended up dropping the class due to multiple assignments, while working full time. Don't recommend having him as a Prof. if you're working or taking other classes.
Horrible, the amount of work this Professor assigns is ridiculous. Acting like we have 36 hours in a day to do math. Uses easy questions for Lectures and assigns difficult and long questions for homework. Lecture quiz after each lecture, weekly problems, and homework all in one week (+ exams & finals). I'm not sure why he has some good reviews.
The worst instructor I've ever had at SRJC. He doesn't give a respond to your e-mail and grade small things that you don't even know why you got a point deduction. The homework volume is crazy, you may need to spend at least 3 hrs on homework and 2 hrs on Zoom each day. Don't take him!!!
This guy gives two hour lecture videos every single day Mon-Thurs and its just way to overwhelming to sit there and focus in on watching these videos. I know its what I signed up for but two hours is just way too much not to mention homework. He assigns over 50 homework problems and makes them due Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesdays I have no time.
He is incredible, in a bad way. He gives the easiest examples in lectures and assigns the most difficult problems on homework and exam that is frustrating. I am not sure what he is expecting from students at this level. He is also really strict. I wish I had never taken his class. Overall very unfair professor. The worst professor I have had.
I had a B- then I accidentally turned in the wrong work and he gave me an F- just because of that worksheet. He is a very harsh grader and not understanding when it comes to situations like mine. After that harsh comment i had a mental breakdown which led me to dropping his class and having me write this paragraph. Take at your own risk.
If you have a job or are taking other classes, either quit now or drop this class like I had to do. He is a nice guy and a good teacher, but he assigns an obscene amount of homework, and you won't get credit for wrong answers. I've never had a problem with too much homework, but with this class I literally didn't have any free time at all.
A great professor that really cares about his students, heavy on the homework and weekly problem sets but I just view it as good practice. Has adapted very well to the new COVID-era of strictly online learning. Nothing on the exams that he hasn't covered prior in class, and the weekly problem sets the final problem can be difficult but grades fair.
I feel bad for writing this review because hes very nice and is clear in the lectures so thats good. The amount of work is ridiculous, up to 100 problems a week. I would get points off for the smallest thing or for something I wasnt told was about. He also wouldnt allow me to make up work when I was in the hospital and LEGALLY couldnt do it.
Math has always felt like memorizing and using a bunch of formulas that some smart people made, but Pf Kwon explains the concepts so that you can actually understand how people came up with the formulas and it just seems intuitive. That made it way easier for me to remember them & even if I forgot a formula I could recreate it b/c I understood it
DRD student & had him for online learning. He deleted all the videos he made when I had him for the first semester which makes me think he doesn't value his time or work which isn't a great quality for a teacher to have. He uploaded them to yt so it wasn't like they were taking space on his comp. Not accommodating or helpful. Does bare minimum.
I had two main problems with John's class, lectures and homework assignments. Lectures are very frustrating and not helpful. Be prepared to teach yourself most of the material. He also demands that you have your camera on, all while leaving his off. Homework assignments are unbearably long. Set your own deadlines and don't let hw pile up.
Take at own risk. I took the class thinking it would be informative. I've always considered myself good at math, but this prof. took that away. Be prepared to teach yourself everything. He regularly ignores questions, assigns large amounts of work even before tests, and worst of all he constantly says "you should remember this from High School."
As mentioned in other reviews, the professor assigns an inordinate amount of homework each week. The test were very difficult and the lectures were so long that it was hard to keep focus. If you value your time outside of class (or have other obligations to attend to) I would not recommend taking a class with Professor Kwon.
I had professor Kwon during the transition to online due to COVID. That being said Kwon was a decent professor but was not very accessible out of class. Wasnt very kind or helpful out of class. When we switched over to online classes he failed to accommodate well for his students. Ive avoided Kwons class since and have enjoyed mathematics more.
Really enjoyed this class. The lectures are thorough and explain the material well. I would highly recommend this teacher.
Prof. Kwon was little to no help in assisting, and barely reachable for that matter. Im not one to complain about hw and it honestly wasnt bad, although he was very unorganized about it. If you plan on taking his class, be prepared to teach yourself the material bc he wont be any help.
Professor Kwon is an awesome guy. He is super passionate about math and has high energy during his lectures. He gives "In-Class Assignments" which were essentially quizzes that you work on with the entire class. His tests are tough, but I think he prepares you sufficiently for them.
Professor Kwon is a pretty cool dude, and you can tell he is very passionate about math. The class itself was pretty easy in my opinion. There can be quite a bit of hw at times, but the assignments do a great job at preparing you for tests/quizzes. As long as you take decent notes and stay on top of the hw, Kwon seems like an easy A.
He gives out anywhere from 2-5 homework assignments per week, and then you have a quiz or inclass assignment every week. He doesn't teach gives the lectures and then expects us to do the homework. He does give out extra credit every now and then. Exams are related to hw but it's not easy you must study a lot and watch YT videos.
John Kwon is one of the best at SRJC and truly cares about his students and is always accessible during office hours. He however expects his student to put in effort into his classes and his weekly problem sets while challenging aren't graded harshly. His class built the foundation for me to succeed in future math classes.
He gives super good lectures and often provides proofs which is very nice. Clear grading and tests.
Honestly, he made calculus easier to understand. Yes, he gives lots of homework, but it helped me practice and understand the material. I took him during the summer which made things more fast paced, but it was more than worth it. He also does give extra credit opportunities throughout the class. I recommend taking him!
Class was so damn hard. I was struggling on a problem and looked it up online. Found the solution on the UC Berkeley math departments page. If you're looking to get a university level education then sign up.
Like any math class there's going to be lots of homework, but his explanations for the subjects he's teaching is amazing! He has a very passionate but also awkward personality and his jokes always make the class better. Just make sure to keep on top of your homework, quizzes and studying for exams and you'll do fine!!
ended up having to drop the class because I could not handle all of the hw. I was studying 10h over the summer. It was rough. He is also hard to understand and goes really fast on his lectures.
THE GOAT. He's super funny. (often unintentionally) He's super smart, and he's constantly self-deprecating. He made me fall back in love with math. Go in there with a tenacity to learn and you'll do just fine. My one gripe is his grading is not automated so you have to calculate it by hand, which is fairly straightforward, but still a pain,
Professor Kwon may be the worst math teacher I have ever taken. I took Math1A from him my first semester at SRJC, and had to drop halfway through. He lectures for the entirety of class, moves very quickly, leaves little time for questions, and does seem very interested in student success. I also experienced him being rude to students more than once
Really good experience with Kwon's precalculus class! Now keep in mind that any math class is going to have lots of homework to do but he was able to keep everything really well organized and always reminded you when homework was due. He has a very nice way of taking notes and if you put in the work and pat attention in class you'll be good!
I had Kwon for MATH 27 and MATH 5. He is the best SRJC mathematics professor. Kwon's lectures are straightforward and cover a lot of material. You can clearly see that he is passionate about math which is one thing I loved about his classes. His tests are very fair and he cares about his student's success. Take him if you can!!
One of, if not the, the worst math teacher I've ever had. I have never understood the material so well in a class and on the homework yet be completely unable to translate that to the test. I don't mind the bad lectures because I can motivate myself to study, but only half his tests cover the main topics of the chapter(s). Would not recommend.
Kwon's tests were hard, but there was ample opportunity to gain points in homework and extra credit assignments. Kwon provided good lectures and was helpful outside of class.
I think Kwon is a great guy, very funny, and I enjoyed working with him. However, tests were very hard, even if you are well-prepared. Lectures are very fast, but he posts all of his notes and they are great, so I would recommend not taking your own notes. If you need a lot of extra help understanding material, I would take a different prof.
Kwons lectures are over hyped, he's basically repeating the textbook. Then on the homework he not only assigns a lot of problems but choices the most difficult ones (looking nothing like what we cover in class). His exams/ quizzes are extremely difficult. For exams 6-10 big problems that cover multiple lectures. Extra credit assignments are hard GL
John is a nice enough guy and I think he gives good explanations, but he crams excessive amounts of superfluous material into a class which should focus on getting us to know how to do linear algebra. His exams were insane and consisted of endless proof-writing without any background in writing proofs. Nobody at the JC teaches this class well.
Amazing class.I heard all sorts of stories about this class, especially difficult exams. Well that's just not true, he makes it very clear what is to be on them and he does not try to trick you. He is especially caring and professional in his teaching, he wants you to succeed and will help you every step of the way. One of the best professors here.
John is a great professor; he genuinely cares for his students' success in his class. He offers many opportunities for extra credit and making up homework. Tests are challenging but not impossible if you know the material. One con about John is that he doesn't use the grade feature on Canvas, so you can't see your current grade.
Professor Kwon's class is challenging, but engaging if you put in the work. The lectures can be fast-paced, but he provides good explanations. Using Unstuck ai and the textbook are key to success.
He's not a bad professor but more just old school. Everything is written on paper including hw, but if anything it helps you learn. He also does offer extra credit throughout the semester. As long as you stay on top of ur work you will be able to pass. He's strict, but supportive if you meet him halfway.
AVOID HIM FOR MATH 5 PLEASE. to any future students thinking of taking this professor for linear algebra please do not. Nearly 10 students had to drop (myself included) due to his extremely difficult, overly complex exams (worth 54%). I want to say around half of the content on the exam is similar to homework/class work. The other half? Didnt teach
math27 with kwon was a blast. For me I was worn out much of the semester due to personal reasons and so 3pm 3 hour math class was often my bane. Still, precalculus algebra and trigonometry lectures truly inspired me to learn math. Kwon teaches a fun class and I often found myself laughing at his dry comic style.
John is an amazing professor that truly cares about the material and making sure his students understand it. He does assign quite a bit of homework, however for math courses at this level, it is required to ensure proper understanding of the material. His tests can be relatively difficult, however there are never any surprises on it.
Took prof Kwon for stats. His lectures were straightforward, he was accessible during office hours and was helpful when I had questions. The homework assignments online and the take home assignments really helped prepare for his tests. Make sure you allow yourself time to study to do well on this class! If you do so, you'll be just fine.
Best math professor I've had, but by far the most difficult. All class content is paper-based, no Canvas. Lectures are rigorous and clear with few mistakes. However, homework is heavy and tests are very hard. If you are a math major, I recommend Kwon, as he will give you a solid foundation. But if your semester is crammed, take someone else.
