This guy is cool! He is a very good teacher, knows his stuff. All you do are four three minute speeches and do some light studying for the tests. Other than that he is cool. I found out I didnt need his class, but I dont regret it.

He is pretty funny and easy going. He also helps to make you feel a little more relaxed about having to give a speech. You can do as much extra credit has you have time for to pass.

He is such a cmic. An awesome teacher. Talks a lot but the lectures are fun. Be ready for speeches though. Keep within the time limit.

A little unnerving at first, but once you get into the rhythm of his class and his methods, not only is it smooth sailing, but the ride is enjoyable. He's also a really nice guy. Funny, too. He's someone I'd have a beer with.

I try so hard to make myself think that this class is boring... but I fail miserably every time! John makes the atmosphere light and fun yet still very insightful and very knowledgable. Just be organized and look interested and you'll be all set! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED! He makes light of (almost) EVERYTHING!

He is an understanding Professor. I like his way of teaching. before,the day of final,he gives us a schedule of dates to choose what date that we feel ready to take the final. By going to class regularly, taking good notes, and doing what he requires, you should do well in his class. He gives good deals of extra credits. I like his class a lot!!

If you want to have fun and learn something at the same time, this is the class to take. John Lambros is a great teacher, and he is so charming and funny that I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this class. I definitely recommend him.

Before taking this class I thought it was going to be hard giving speeches, he made it easier and comfortable to give speeches. johns a cool guy. he doesnt apprectiate tardyness, being absent, or not taking his class seriously. Professor Lambros is a charismatic and brilliant instructor. I always did enjoy coming to class. His lectures are direct and thorough (with a few interesting "germane-tangents"). At first, you may feel intimidated by him, but after a while you'll realize that he is a fun guy who is willing to help you succeed. One of the best professors at Cypress.

Experiencing John Lambros perfom his in-class speeches, or lectures I'd unwillingly admit they were, was not only entertaining like watching Jay Leno but also very informing as when Keith Olbermann goes off in his commentaries on CNN. His enthusiasm in comm. instruction kept me knowlegeably entertained throughout each classtime. Tune in to him.

Finally a teacher who was able to not only keep me from falling asleep, but also made me laugh. Mr Lambros loves his job and makes the learning environment pleasurable. He his straight forward with his expectations, as long as you do your reading, study for tests, and memorize your speeches you'll get a good grade. Kudos Mr. Lambros.

I was totally freaked that I had to make speeches in order to get through college! I'm not the kind of person who likes to talk in front of crowds. Lambros once said that speaking is a learned skill. I know that I can learn anything so I got over my fear! Lambros is so easygoing he makes people feel comfortable. Thanks a million Lambros!

He had me laughing almost throughout the entire lectures, he is very dedicated and serious about his work and super helpul as well...overall I think he is an outstanding instructor.. Funny guy and fun lecturer. Likes telling his life stories, which are always funny and entertaining. The work is reasonable and tests and grading is fair. Just do the work, following all the directions, and it'll be easy.

I have only had one class meeting so far and John is incredibly easy on the eyes! Easy to understand and an incredible sense of humor. I can't wait for the next class meeting.

He was an excellent instructor. I would not have enjoyed the class without his sense of humor and passion for what he teaches. And of course, being quite attractive was certainly a plus. His Lectures are extremely entertaining and engaging however, if you are easily offended be cautious as he is straight forward. The tests require work but are straight forward as well a study guide is given overall a fun class.

John is a fairly simple guy. All he wants you to do is to follow the instructions, and you'll get an A. Deviate from the instructions, and you'll get anything less than an A. I followed the instructions, guess what letter grade I got. Yep, an A. Easy Peasy.

Amazing! Mr. Lambros is so hilarious and kind! He makes you feel so comfortable about giving speeches (FYI: there are 3). Lectures are awesome, and he a very fair grader. You have to go to class or it will count against you. very easy to get an A. Do your speeches right and study guide is given for test and you'll get an easy A. He makes class entertaining but its just a drag sitting for the whole hour and 30min lecture. He video tapes your speech so you can go home and look at yourself

Really funny teacher. His tests are really hard. Follow the directions on the speeches exactly how he says he wants them and you'll do great on the speech side of the class. Great teacher. Study guides are exactly like the tests, and each speech is graded quite fairly. Just follow his guidelines EXACTLY as they are, come to class & study each study guide and you'll do fine.

He was extremely helpful and makes the class fun. It's not difficult to receive an A in his class. Exams are word for word from the study guides. He is more than fair when grading the speeches. LISTEN and TAKE ACTION from his advice!! Students who got low grades probably didn't listen to him or follow directions. Highly recommended.

The classes are so much fun! But that's because while trying to lecture he digresses off into a 30 minute hilarious story just to prove one point. Resulting in not learning much in Class. I like him as a person not as a teacher. Doesn't grade hard but sometimes he might be pmsing. Long study guides. Only 3 easy speeches.

This class was fantastic. I was SO scared to take speech and he made it so comfortable and relaxed. He is an AWESOME teacher. I wish I studied more for the tests.. I got A's on all my speeches but didn't study enough to get A's on my tests. I would recommend taking him for speech. He made my fear of public speaking a lot easier!

Lambros is awesome. you can't get an A or a B if you miss more than 3 classes but he is pretty cool about fixing attendance and making up classes. There were 3 big but easy papers and the tests are the hardest part, do the study guide and know it and this class is an easy A. The atmosphere of the class room is laid back and enjoyable. Recommended!

Literally all of the class material relies on the book. What he does is he gives you a review packet in accordance to whatever test is coming up. You read the book and find the answers to the questions. There are in-class discussions regarding the material and Lambros does an amazing job at entertaining the class, despite being unclear sometimes.

Have to read book completely and follow his guidelines or you will fail. Be prepared to be put on the spot. He is sometimes harsh, but only to make you a better student. But make sure your on his good side, because he has favorites and if your not one then drop out or kiss his butt. no joke.

Aside from being incomprehensibly hot, Lambros is a fantastic professor who truly cares about his students success. The tests aren't exactly a piece of cake, but he gives you the tools to study and get an A. Be a good student, and sit back for the ride, because his classes are incredibly entertaining. I was literally bummed when class would end.

Lambros is funny. 3 speechees and 3 tests. Syllabus says attendance is mandatory but I've missed about 4 classes and he said I'm getting a B for the semester. Pretty good considering I did minimal work. Didn't do the study guide, just read the chapters, and wrote speeches last minute. Over all easy, entertaining class.

Lambros is who you want to take for Comm 100. You have 3 speeches and 3 test. If you do the speech outline correct, have the correct speech formattopic, not go underover time, and give a good effort you will do fine. Dont expect to get out of class early cause this man loves to talkat least his examplesstories are funny.

The skinny: 3 speeches - Demonstrative, Informative, and Persuasive 2 tests & 1 final. Don't expect to be let out early. However, Prof. Lambros' lectures are interesting/entertaining and relatable, helping time to fly by fairly quickly. He knows how to break down material so it will stick to your head, also very funny. 3 speeches throughout the semester, very easy and an outline is required when presenting which helps! Class is straightforward, 3 speeches, 3 exams. Participation counts, so go to class. The tests are easy, he gives you the testbank for you to find the answers in the textbook. He's willing to help out with speech outlines and provides good feedback. This class was a breeze if you do the work, which REALLY isn't much to do. Take him for an easy A.

I was not thrilled to take this class due to the public speaking aspect of communications, however the class turned out to be one I looked forward to attending twice a week. The lectures in class were meaningful and relevant and delivered in a humorous way that caught everyone's attention, although his style is not for everyone. Highly recommend.

He is a great person and a great professor. His lectures are very engaging and fun to attend to. He has no brain to mouth filter so he will criticize you directly and does not sugarcoat anything. His tests are super easy if you read the book and finish his study guide correctly. He is very picky when it comes to speeches.

Sometimes he'd go off topic and ramble during lecture but for the most part he teaches and provides us with the notes/directions that we need. His exams are very similar to his study guides so study that pretty well. To do good on his 3 speeches, literally just follow the directions and do what he asks of you for each one and you should be fine.

One of the best COMM professors I've taken at Cypress College. He made the class so fun and worth to attending. Only rambles about few points but made things clear though goes off topic all the time. Ensure you study your study guides the exams are exactly from your study guides. Only 2 essays. Overall easy class & great professor!

This guy was great, look if you know how to follow basic instructions, and are just a naturally extroverted talkative person like myself, you should get an A, For the multiple choice test, simply study the study guide(using Quizlet for the answers), the study guide is the same as the multiple-choice tests, he makes jokes, I thought they were funny.

No one likes public speaking, but he made the class enjoyable. When it came to speeches, his instructions to get a good grade were easy. Quizzes are quite heavy but as long as you pay attention in his lectures which are quite easy because every class is... interesting. I'd recommend this teacher for Comm 100.

John Lambros may seem controversial at first, but he is a great professor who will teach you new things & you will actually enjoy it. He does have strong opinions, but he is open to other's p.o.vs. he spends most of the class lecturing (no slides just him & the white board w/occasional videos) & speaking on his experiences and his POV. straightfwd

Not gonna lie, he's super chill and funny. He is chill because he always give us a calm attitude. He's funny because he always make jokes while he lectures. His lectures are quite entertaining, I am not gonna lie about that.

John's teaching style is laid back and he likes to crack jokes and say provocative things that really make you think. If you tend to get your panties in a bunch and are easily offended, this isn't the class for you. But if you want someone to keep it real and relate material to current events, I highly recommend. I laughed a lot & would retake.

This professor talks ALOT to the point where his examples and tangents are no help when studying for the final exam, last 3 weeks worth of lectures could be fit into one class if he got to the point.
